Junko lived an unassuming, normal Japanese life for many years. An average student, no ambition to be a hero, but a passion for sports, especially track and field. She desperately wished for chances to use her quirk to compete, but there simply wasn't a framework for students with speed-enhancing quirks to compete against everybody else, so she saved her speed for country roads and back alleys. Far more diligent in her workouts than her schoolwork, she graduated high school, but just barely.
And that's when tragedy struck.
Both of Junko's parents fell ill from awful conditions at the factory where they worked. First her father, then her mother passed away from entirely preventable cancers that could have been treated had they had proper medical care and the time to use it.
Junko's life ever since has been a struggle. Holding down part time jobs to pay the taxes on the family's home and feed herself, her day to day was drudgery and frustration until she hit on the quirk racing circuit. Finally provided a chance to earn some money doing something she was good at, she made waves in the quirk racing community- until the local police forces cracked down on the racing ring and forced it to disband, killing her income from her races.
Furious, and now bearing vendettas against both corporate entities and coldhearted police forces, Junko spends her time knocking over corporate owned stores, vandalizing cop cars and corporate headquarters- and outrunning cops and heroes, of course!

QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Transmission has replaced a number of Junko's internal structures with an organic chain motor, complete with transmission system. The chains, she can extend around any part of her body, and can switch between RPM-mode and Torque-mode, allowing her to raise EITHER Speed or Strength to her quirk's ranking, as the chain engine either empowers her blows with sheer force, or amplifies the rapidity of their movement by revving faster. This effect may be switched once per post, immediately ending one benefit and beginning the other.
Additionally, the chains themselves are tough, and benefit from an excellent friction coefficient with everything but her body. This makes them function quite well offensively and defensively- think chain mail and chain saws, essentially- and as a side effect, allow her to skate on vertical surfaces and overhangs. This use leaves obnoxious tread marks, but does not damage the material unless she deliberately causes them to do so.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS: Having her chains jammed is uncomfortable- having them removed is extraordinarily painful. They are not metallic, nor replaceable, and must be regrown between threads if damaged or removed, rendering them unusable for the rest of the thread where this occurs.
