To say it was a beautiful day in the city today was an understatement. The sun was high in the sky with saturated enough cloud cover to provide small patches of cool shade. It was the perfect day to hit the town and do a bit of pre-university shopping. For the pink-haired woman walking down the main strip had just recently been accepted into UAU and would be arriving at the school tomorrow!

She hummed softly as she walked along, occasionally pausing to window shop at various stores. Her interests didn’t seem too particular as she stopped at a dress shop, a boutique makeup store, and a sporting goods store. It was about as varied as you could get and yet the only thing she’d purchased that day was a modern, cute, pastel blue Polaroid camera that spat out pictures as soon as you took them. As someone obsessed with making memories, a camera that printed picture instantly was all-too-appealing for May. And so she walked down the sidewalk, the blue camera hanging around her neck and a pocket full of coins just begging to be spent on something to drink.

As if fate had willed it, a cute local cafe was just around the corner and while May was certainly interested in a drink, she’d stopped halfway to the door and let her eyes fall upon a lone figure sitting at one of the tables. A blonde haired female who looked more than a bit familiar. Being a bit of a fangirl like her uncle, she knew who it was. Pretender. Mochi Ogawa. An up-and-coming pro who she had some genuine love for! As a fan of course.

She drew in a deep breath and then turned, diverting herself from walking into the shop and making her way over to the table the woman sat at, ”Ehm. Excuse me, Madam. Art thee…erm…Are you Pretender by chance?” She asked, having quickly corrected her old timey speech mid-sentence, a bad habit that she’d had a hard time getting out of even after all these years. Thirty years in a fantasy world would do that to you.

Her cheeks flushed slightly as she stood there almost awkwardly. Hoping she wasn’t being intrusive to the woman or disturbing her day. Maybe she was on patrol or something and May was just getting in the way? Pro’s were busy people after all! But then, the notion of talking with an actual pro and picking their brain for a bit of advice before she got to UAU was also too much to resist.
