» NAME: Sora Nakoma
» AGE: 24
» GENDER: Male
» AFFILIATION: Hero
» ALIAS: Gale Force Hero, Neptune
» OCCUPATION: Pro-Hero

Sora, while quite friendly and polite, is also rather quiet most of the time unless among friends. He dislikes being the center of attention, being rather shy. Sora enjoys company, however. He just doesn’t like being surrounded by strangers. Despite this he is nothing but encouraging to the hopeful and supportive of the dreamers, making it a point to try and empathize with everyone he meets. But while Sora is very kind, he is also known for his pragmatism; in work both mundane and heroic alike, he seeks to end issues as quickly and efficiently as possible. Those who know him personally will also be familiar with his surprisingly frequent snark and sarcasm.
Sora’s pragmatism also gives him a surprisingly lax view of Vigilantism, though he keeps this to himself for the most part. He understands that sometimes the law can obstruct true justice, and is thankful for those willing to step beyond the border. But those who go too far can expect no mercy. There’s a fine line between what’s right, and what’s convenient.

Born and raised in Tokyo, Sora is the son of a famous top heroine, Sonia Boom, and a well known but retired support item specialist, Kendrick. He also has an adopted older sister, Aella, who also went into work as a hero. So it was no surprise that Sora, like many children, dreamed of being a hero himself as a boy. To this end he trained with his family constantly whenever not in school, pushing the limits of his Quirk whenever possible. He had but one constant friend; a girl named Shinokame, who also dreamed of being a hero and would train with him.
When Sora was 12, a fire broke out in the antique shop his father runs. It was an attempt at vengeance by a villain Sora’s mother had repeatedly tangled with. Sora was able to save his sister, the two of them having been put in charge for the day while their parents went out, using his Quirk to clear enough of the smoke for them to escape, though he was hospitalized for a time due to overexerting his Quirk. But Shinokame, who had been helping out, had disappeared in the fire. Once discharged Sora resumed his training, redoubling his efforts. He had learned in the hospital that the villain who set the fire had gotten off without punishment due to holding a powerful legal position. Sora wanted to bring the man to justice, but his parents and sister were fortunately able to instill in him a disdain for vengeance.
Sora attended UA University once he was old enough, just as his parents and sister did. It was during this time, after acquiring his provisional hero license, that Sora discovered that Shinokame had become a vigilante. And what’s more, she had killed the villain who almost killed he and his sister. The revelation gave Sora mixed feelings, as he was glad that the man had finally got what was coming to him. But he was also sad for his friend’s chosen path. His sadness worsened later, when he learned on the day that he graduated that his friend had been killed.
Afterwards, Sora felt despondent. He was physically ready to begin his hero work, but mentally unprepared. Confiding in his family, the decision was made that he would travel to America, home of his father and where his sister had moved to open her own hero agency. He would work with her, learning the ropes of professional heroism and facing his issues over time. During his time in America, Sora grew both as a hero and as a person, facing many powerful enemies. He defeated Don Blood, a crime lord feared throughout New York, as well as playing an integral role in taking down the Circus of Man, an organization that used people with Mutation quirks as attractions in an underground circus for the top dogs of the criminal world.
Now, several years later, Sora returns to Japan. He aims to move on, and to put his learning into practice in memory of his friend. Though his reputation in America wouldn’t fully follow him back home, he still plans on blowing everyone away.

EQUIPMENT NAME: ASIA
EQUIPMENT RANK: C
EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER: Wire
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION:
A special pair of high-tech goggles designed to be use by Sora while on the field. ASIA (Atmosphere Status Indicating Apparatus) serves the dual purpose of protecting his eyes from any debris stirred up by battle or his wind, as well as monitoring the environment around him. Specifically it keeps track of precisely how strong the winds he’s emitting are so he can better make fine adjustments to his output and input, as well as detecting harmful substances in the air that he can cleanse with his Quirk. At C rank, ASIA can detect more typical air pollution, such as flammable gases or airborne toxins. Ideally, future upgrades would allow for ASIA to recognize airborne Quirks used against Sora in the past, allowing him to better respond to such threats.
ASIA was developed by an American tech-focused hero known as Wire that Sora worked with. The goggles are equipped with an artificial intelligence who responds to the name Asia, who Sora can speak to in order to access information. She only knows what the goggles themselves do, but bouncing his thoughts off of someone helps Sora think and strategize.

QUIRK NAME: Iron Lungs
QUIRK RANK: S
QUIRK TYPE: Emitter
QUIRK DESCRIPTION:
Sora’s Quirk grants him the ability to release and absorb massive quantities of air from his mouth and nose by breathing; in other words, it gives him super breath. Sora can regulate the power of his breath to a great extent, allowing him to blow air like a normal person or release winds powerful enough to uproot or smash through large buildings, and everything in between. This same level of force applies to his inhaling as well, allowing him to suck up air and pull objects and/or people towards himself. Having such powerful breathing, Sora is also able to pull in scents through his nose, allowing him to track people or things if he knows what they smell like.
Sora also possesses the ability to “filter” the air that he breathes in order to make it breathable, removing harmful substances and pollutants. Mundane substances like flammable gases and smoke are easier, and he can even remove things such as conductive ions in the air to neutralize electricity, or oxygen to suffocate a threat. While filtering a substance, Sora cannot exhale until the process is complete unless he wants to release the harmful substance again.
Thanks to his powerful breathing and filtration, Sora is also able to hold his breath for substantially longer than a majority of people.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS:
Sora’s breathing is powerful, but he needs to be able to breath in order to use it. Obstructions covering or blocking his mouth and/or nose can make it harder for him to breath. Irritants like dust and airborne substances he’s unaware of can also cause problems, upsetting his breathing or making him sneeze (both the inhale and exhale of which can be quite destructive if he doesn’t catch himself in time). And Sora also faces trouble if he isn’t careful with his breathe, potentially pulling large or dangerous objects towards himself if he isn’t careful. Similarly, while Sora can filter out tiny particles of pollutants, sucking up air also runs the risk of pulling in harmful objects; metal, shards of glass, splintered wood, etc. He can’t filter out such objects, which means they could injure his throat and lungs if inhaled. In addition, his powerful sense of smell can be used against him in a similar manner; powerful odors are quite hard on Sora.

SKILL NAME: Way of the Wind (Fighting Style)
SKILL RANK: C+
SKILL DESCRIPTION:
A unique fighting style developed by Sora in his school days, honed through his hero work. This fighting style takes advantage of his Quirk’s ability to push and pull opponents, being focused around keeping his enemies off balance to leave them vulnerable. While Sora can hit decently hard, particularly with clever use of his Quirk, the style is more focused on grapples, submission, and restraint than outright striking the enemy.
