Even if i become Night, Shinjuku. A series of coincidences lead to the first sighting...
The Corner Store: The young man's hand twitched, his eyes fixed on the object on the shelf. Greed ate at his insides, roaring to life as he watched his surroundings with the subtelty of a brick. The employee at the counter was so tired, though, he couldn't be bothered to pay attention. Little did they know a hero-in-training was walking by the store outside.
Sweat bead on his temple, his eyes widening, his pupils dialating. He needed it. His hand snapped out and without taking another breath he grabbed it off the shelf. His feet kicked off the ground, the spring-like structures in his leg muscles rocketing him across the shop in an instant. The employee only had enough time to sit up and shout.
The alarm followed.
The young man crashed through the door and darted the eight feet to the alley next to it.
The Driver: He was so preoccupied with his coffee, he couldn't care less about his surroundings. He shifted his weight, grumbling as someone honked at him from behind. His hands dancing over the steering wheel. He shifted his position in the road again, moving off to the left. A pedestrian swore at him from the sidewalk. He ignored them, taking another sip.
Crack!
Something struck one of his front tires. He gasped and dropped his coffee, the hot liquid splashing all over him. He grabbed the wheel and whipped it to the left on instinct. The tail end of the vehicle skidding to a stop right in front of the alley just as the young man passed into it, limping on an injured leg.
Ishtar: The meeting had been brief, but productive. Another gang would be paying tribute and operating as mercenaries for her growing business. She'd put them in contact with the next villain who asks for mooks to help them deal with a particular job. At least they'd get paid better than doing the nonsense they were doing before. Idiots. Who stooped to such lows these days?
She sighed and approached the door into the alley, ready to switch out of her Ishtar persona and return to her penthouse. There was a hot-tub and fashion model waiting for her and she would be very unhappy if she was-
CLUNK!
SCREEEE!
Clack clack clack!
Ishtar's pink, glowing eyes landed upon a young man gripping a small object in his hand. A small car was blocking the alley ahead of her, making it hard for someone to come inside. What kind of chaos was this? Her lip twitched and she looked down at the young man as he slid to a stop, his frantic flight finally being overridden by something more primal. Survival instinct. Something told him he needed to get away.
He turned around and started back towards the car and unknown to him, a certain hero in training...

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun let out a yawn, walking along the street and checking her messages. Prop making was tiring, and she couldn't help but wonder what Auden needed two dozen spears for. Well, "spears"; they were just long pieces of PVC pipe shaped, painted, and fitted with wooden ends to make up the spearheads and counterweights. They looked pretty good, too, if Jun could say so herself. As much as she wanted to stick around, it was a shoot involving Aiko, and she felt things whenever he was around. Couldn't understand it. Regardless, it was going to be an uneventful night as she walked back to the campus, and after her Nightlight days she wouldn't have it any other wa- Glass broke away from the door as someone from inside flew through it, almost immediately running for the alley not far away. Someone inside shouted 'thief', and a part of Jun sighed. Well, at the very least I probably don't have to fight him, she thinks, putting her phone away as she pushes off her back foot. The man got a little too close to traffic, smacking into a car before turning down the alleyway. That had to hurt, but it also mean that it would be that much easier to apprehend him. Jumping up to the roof of the car, she redirected herself down the alley, off a brick wall, and shoved off to continue the chase. Something was wrong though. Her trope senses were tingling, and she couldn't help but feel like something bad was going to happen. As the man stopped her gaze went up briefly to see a lone figure, pink eyes glaring at him. It must have been intimidating enough to force him back into her, and it wouldn't take much to take control of the situation. She didn't often like using her own momentum, but in this instance it would pay off as she transferred most of her weight to her left leg, sweeping it in front of him and allowing his forward momentum to trip him up, sending him to the ground. She wasn't too worried about him getting away, but this person...something wasn't right. "Uh, hi! Don't mind this, I'll just call the cops on him and...uh...I'm not imposing on your patrol, am I?" She wanted to assume she was a hero first, and see where it played out from there. Sonya Chernovna

Even if i become Ishtar stood completely still, she was like a statue, her skin faintly glowing in such a way that it obscured her features a bit. With the respirator it was almost impossible to even get an idea for a sketch artist. Her white hair hung loosely around her shoulders as she remained in position, her arms resting at her sides. She looked down at the man who had just been knocked to the ground, then up at the young hero. No, not a hero.
"I don't know you," Ishtar breathed, her voice distorted and sounding like a bitter rasp, like the voice of a dying person. Then the girl spoke up and her eyebrows raised. She thought she was a... really now? "It's fine, just be on your way... I'll handle it from here," Ishtar said, her eyes falling back down on the thief. She'd let the girl think what she wanted to think. Her lip twitched beneath her mask, she was walking perilously close to lying, though.
She didn't like being in a position she hadn't set up when dealing with someone like this. To make matters worse, she hadn't planned on outing the Villain Ishtar for a long while now. She'd have to keep her villain name out of this, but she supposed if rumors spread that wasn't a problem. Careful now. She took a step forward.
"D-duh-duh!" The man babbled, pointing at Ishtar, "W-wait a second! D-dun don't listen to her! She-she's not a hero! She's that wish-granter! I heard of you, yeah!"
Ishtar's eyes flicked down at him, "I'd rather you didn't," She said coldly as her index finger twitched.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... It was official. Whoever this was, she was creepy. From the mask to her demeanor to the fact that it was hard to get a good look at her through the glow. This lady was dangerous, and while she held onto hope that she was just a hero with a killer creepy vibe that feeling that something was wrong persisted. Even what she said about her going on was wrong. "Ah, well, uh, I don't have anywhere to be tomorrow so if you get in touch with the cops I can stick around to watch him! There's a lot of damage around here and we need some authority to watch over that, and I don't mind lending a hand being a hero student and all that..." she trailed off, not sure what the consequences of that would be. All she knew is she couldn't leave this idiot with her, there was no telling- Oh. Oh no. That wasn't good. She couldn't help but wonder what he meant by wish granter, but glancing down at him and then back up at her she knew that things went from casually inconveniencing to incredibly dangerous. Taking in a deep breath, she let her feet spread a little as she started to anticipate a fight, beginning to find her confidence. "Maybe we should all remain calm. Not do something we'll regret later." While she kept her gaze on Ishtar she'd begin to tap into her fear, prepared to summon a chain to wrap around the guy and fling him out of harms way in the event she tried to go after him right away. This was bad, and to top it off the driver was still behind Jun, but if she could manage to keep this person's focus on her... Sonya Chernovna

Even if i become Ishtar raised her head high as the girl scrambled to make up an excuse to stick around. It was like she was asking to get herself hurt. The more Ishtar thought about it, the more she realized that this girl was one of the high-potential students she'd kept an eye on at UA! It would be such a shame to have to kill her. She let out a sigh that came out as a rattling hiss, "I really wish he hadn't done that," The glowing villain said almost sadly, shrugging her shoulders and looking down at the man.
He squeaked and tried to scramble backwards. Sonya's attention shifted to the girl, she had moved into a prepared stance. Energy was beginning to build in the air. She was going to do something in response to whatever Ishtar made. Amusing, but was she fast enough to save that man's life? She pointed her finger directly at the man and then looked the young hero in the eye.
Tickticktickticktick tick tick ...tick... tick......tick
The lenses in Ishtar's eyes settled just as Ishtar suddenly changed the shape of her hand from a pointed finger to an open palm. Her fingers tensed and a wall of light erupted from it before blossoming at the girl's feet, it rose up, forming a two inch thick wall before condensing into what appeared to be luminous glass. A wall between the hero and the cowardly thief.
Ishtar lowered her hand and began to walk towards her intended victim, no word spoken.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... The tension in the air was enough it could give the strings on a violin a run for their money. The time to act was going to be soon, and Jun was ready for it. She didn't care much for the thief, but a life was a life and the last thing she wanted to see was him dying right here in this alley. Except the inciting moment was not an attack, but a wall. It wasn't something Jun was anticipating either, as it was bright and translucent, so much so she had to shield her eyes for a moment. Oh my gosh. It's another construct user! A brief elation rose her spirits, only for an nanosecond as she realized that this woman was a villain. None of this boded well for either her or the thief, especially through the wall Jun could see her stalking forwards. She had to do something, and fast. Summoning up her determination, the rings on her fingers glowed as she summoned up a ten-pound cannon, poised and ready to fire. Most criminals don't train up enough, she thinks, mentally firing the weapon that momentarily filled the alley with a thunderous BOOM! They prey on the weak, relying more on sticking to the shadows and- The following crack! as both constructs met presented a blinding flash. Jun once again had to shield her eyes, but right after saw that instead of a hole there was a crack, fragments of the cannonball all over the ground. Her heart sank, and glancing over saw that the villain had paused. Taking a breath, she surged forth her determination again, fully intent to get through the wall. "I'm not going to let you hurt him!" And with a second shot... Sonya Chernovna

Even if i become Ishtar strode forward, her glowing eyes peering down at the young thief. He scrambled backwards until his back slapped against the wall behind him. He gasped at the cold that radiated off of it, pulling away with a wince as the chill nearly scored his exposed skin. She raised a finger and a tiny sphere of white light formed in front of it, building up. This was troublesome. She needed to silence this idiot before hero society learned her name. They'd already have a description after this.
"Die," She rasped through her respirator.
He squeaked just as a strange colorful glow blossomed on the other side of the barrier. Ishtar ignored it, whatever their quirk was, it wasn't enough to get through Pale Dawn. Nothing was. BOOM! The blast shook the alley. It wasn't until the subsequent CRACK! that her attention was diverted. Her head whipped up, her eyes widening. The barrier she'd made had a fracture in it? How? Her attention shifted completely to the young hero-in-training. A glowing cannon. A construct.
Hard light.
Ishtar's eyes narrowed, as the girl shouted her defiance, another cannon volley crashed into the barrier and a narrow portion crumbled, the fragments of hard light falling towards the ground as they dissolved into particles of white light. Dust kicked up, the young man turned to run, Ishtar released the attack she had been preparing, but instead of his chest, the thin flash of light pierced his leg.
The young man screamed in pain, stumbling through the gap in her wall in time to crash into the hero-in-training. He clung to her, "Save me! Please! I'm sorry! I'll give everything back!" He gasped, struggling to stand, the smell of rotting flesh rising from his leg with a trail of ice clinging to the ground along his struggling path.
Behind him, in front of Jun, the glowing villain strode slowly towards them, her hand outstretched. Dozens of needles of white light forming around her body.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun was surprised that she made it through with the second shot. But this was a good sign, and it meant she could blaze through the hole to- The beam of light distracted her, but seeing the thief stagger through the hole was a good sign. Assuming one ignored the smell of rotting flesh and trailing ice. It didn't help that her anxiety spiked the moment he gripped her, mind racing as she tried to figure out what to do next. The alleyway was blocked off, and there was a villain in front of her. One that she didn't know if she could beat. As panic and adrenaline flooded her she began to backpedal; she wanted to get some shields up to try and blunt any offensive the woman was going to unleash, but she couldn't get past the massive fear block in her way. "G-get the police," she says, prying the man off of her and forcing him towards the car, rings aglow as she created two massive chains and unleashed them towards her target, trying to find her bearings. She just needed to stall, make herself a shield between the two. That leg wound looked nasty, but...well. Such was the life of a hero. Sonya Chernovna

Even if i become Sonya's restraint began to crumble milimeter by milimeter. She strode forward, her eyes fixed on the young hero-in-training. She had been so careful, so cautious. So many variables considered, every angle, every possibility. Yet somehow a few minor coincidences had resulted in what should have been a routine visit to one of her contacts devolving into a confrontation with a representative of Hero Society. She took a breath, there was no point in getting frustrated.
Perhaps this was fate working?
Perhaps she could turn this into an opportunity?
Her lip twitched. Plan, plan some more, no matter the outcome, Ishtar always won. Her smile widened behind the mask, her fingers tensed as she raised her hands. "What's wrong little hero?" Ishtar asked, her deathly rasp of a voice carrying out between them. "Or are you still one of those adorable little trainees? Not sure what to do? Why haven't you called for help? You're going to die."
She raised her head high, her eyes glowing brighter, her voice carrying the weight of the threat of death, "Run, little girl."
She spread her fingers out, the needles gleaming before launching, a spray of tiny blades of icy agony firing in a stream across the gap between them. The peppered the walls, they covered the hood of the car as it tried to back out. The young thief screamed in terror, trying to wrench the door open but the driver was too panicked to allow him entry. Instead the thief dove to the ground and covered his head.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... If her anxiety wasn't catching up to her, Ishtar's last few taunts certainly had an effect. All of a sudden she was back on the island, forced to fend for herself and what few survivors there were. She was back on the Inazuma, years later and moments before oblivion. All she felt was fear. Fear of dying, fear of going through another experience, fear of watching another person dying in front of her. She turned to face the woman as the needles began to fly, each one cutting past her and into her jeans, her shirt, her jacket, frost forming on her skin in places were there was a near miss and black cuts in places where the needles scratched her. The proud warrior within her, the soldier, the sailor, told Jun that this person was toying with her and that she could win. She just had to seize the moment. This voice was drowned out by the sheer panic she gained by the thief's touch. Fear was channeled into despair, and choosing the better part of valor Jun forced the emotion into several gemstones to create an ethereal and glowing smokescreen within the alleyway between them, running back to reach down to haul the thief up and toss him over the car, his injuries be damned, before she launched herself over the other side, moving to the driver's seat to try and get the occupant out. "We need to go!" Sonya Chernovna

Even if i become Ishtar stalked forward, the needles sticking out of every surface in front of her. Frost blotched spots on the ground were sizzling withe ambient radiation given off by the needles. The thief moaned in pain, a needle sticking out of his calf. The car had already yanked itself out of where it had become lodged, the driver frantically trying to reorient himself to get out. People were starting to crowd the space as the smokescreen went up.
"There's a good girl! Run!" She laughed, "Live another day, little hero-in-training. Survive!"
She took advantage of the smokescreen and began to walk backwards, stepping up atop the glowing constructs that she created with her quirk. Each step taking her higher and higher up until she made landing atop the roof of the nearest building. Now that the girl was stricken with fear, it wouldn't be long before she had the presence of mind to call for an actual pro, if someone already hadn't done so already.
Ishtar was confident she could deal with any hero she faced. Today, however, was not the day to do that. Let the heroes begin to squirm with rumors of a monster hiding amongst the populace. When the day came, they'd learn more.
She smiled beneath her mask. And while they were squirming, she'd learn more about this adorable craftswoman of hard light. A student hmm?
Ishtar turned and started to walk away, wondering if the girl would actually try to pursue.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun stumbled a bit, but with both civilians out of immediate harm she could turn around and focus on a fight. Maybe. Things were still touch and go, and there was still the fact that she had no real experience fighting another hardlight user. All she had to do was wait... And wait. And wait. But no attack came. No advance, not beam of light, no nothing. And she was about to take the opportunity to dismiss the smoke when she caught movement above her. It was hard to see because of the darkness, but there was a definite silhouette above her, the villain in question. She thought there would be an attack, but nothing happened. She just...moved on. Jun pressed her lips together as she slumped to her knees. She had let her emotions get the better of her again, and in a situation that mattered, too. It wasn't like the Inazuma, where she had more control and was in fact the rock to help stabilize her friends. No, this was different. And to make matters worse, even if she came to blows with that mystery woman, she had no guarantee she'd win. She took in a deep breath, slowly letting it out. She did the right thing, this time. That was to pull a man out of the fire and prevent any further damage. The police were on their way, and she just had to take slow, deep breaths. "I will find you," she says, frowning. There was no way she was going to let a construct user of the dark side exist out there...and she wasn't going to let them tear down her own reputation. Sonya Chernovna

Even if i become
No pursuit.
Sonya's expression twisted behind her mask. She had figured this was going to be the result. Poor child. She crossed her arms behind her back as the glow slowly faded from her body, lower and lower until only the faintest distortion remained around her person. She stepped onto the air again a few buildings over before beginning to descend as if the world had provided glowing steps for her.
She alighted on the ground and pulled out her ENKI device, tapping the call transportation button. It chimed and she strode towards the road, the glow fading to barely luminous levels. With the street lights around her, it was invisible. She pulled the zipper around the collar of her villain outfit and withdrew the hood stashed inside. She pulled it over her head and stepped out confidently just as a random civilian pulled over.
The driver swallowed as she got inside. He was an ordinary man who had fallen into debt with the Pantheon.
"W-where too?"
"Akihabara, no preference," Ishtar rasped through her mask before leaning back and tapping on her phone. She crossed her legs and situated herself, reaching up to her mask to turn off the speakers that allowed others to hear her through it. "It's me," She murmured, the earpiece set into her mask feeding back the voice on the other side. "I need a list of current UA students from our roster. Faces and Quirks. Female. Red-head. No filter on quirks, I'm not sure what the medium is."
There was a pause as the person responded on the other end.
"Thank you dearie, I'll talk to you soon," She cooed before cutting the call. She got comfortable for the ride, driving past the site of the conflict, her eyes trailing on the back of the young hero in training who was still cleaning up the aftermath.
"I will find you..."
