After a childhood drenched in abuse brought on by a drunk father, Lilith's young life was drenched in pain and neglect. At birth, she decided upon the name Lilith, the middle name of her great-grandmother. In her first months of life, most of her days were spent in her mother's arms, resting peacefully, or in her crib with the door to the room closed, crying for attention while her father drank himself to sleep in the living room in front of the television. But as time passed, things would begin to change; her father would be laid off from the factory, and his drinking would begin to steadily increase until a sober version of him was a far distant memory.

With her father unemployed, her mother was forced to pick up extra shifts, leaving Lilith at home in her father's "care." Once her mother returned home, she would be far too exhausted to spend any time with either of them, which would leave them both to deal without her. As time would continue to pass, Lilith would simply adjust to life without much interaction with her, but when she would get to see her as tired as her mother was, she would always find comfort in their time together. Her father, on the other hand, would slowly but surely begin to take his frustrations out on Lilith.

It would start small and not so often—the occasional shoving and slapping—but as time continued to pass, it would evolve into much more. Beatings with belts, punching, and throwing, and to cover the bruising, long sleeves, and nights of going to bed early. Lilith, being young, had no clue how to process any of this and just held it inside, praying for the day the heroes would come and save her, but for her, that day would never come. As she would enter school, she would also find herself being the butt of everyone's joke, making her both a physical and verbal punching bag.

Most teachers explained her bruises as the other children often reprimanding them for something they hadn't done, which would only incite more violence against her by the children blaming her for things they hadn't actually done. And now, with the help of the other children, her father was free to continue on. Lilith, much like her father, believed her quirk would be worthless as her father's quirk only amplified his own negative emotions, completely forgetting about her mother's quirk, which served to amplify the emotions of others.

But her quirk was so much more than she believed it to be. During one of her father's alcohol-fueled episodes, her quirk would activate, serving only to satisfy her anger, which was pointed at her. A child with nowhere to go Lilith spent hours crying in the apartment closet until her mother came home and, for the first time, saw her husband's rage. For once, Lilith wasn't on the receiving end of her father's beatings, but listening to them was too much for her to bear, and she would rush out to the aid of her mother. Her intentions were pure, but she would instead make things worse as her quirk would flare again this time, amplifying her negative emotions. In a fit of rage, her mother stabbed her father in the abdomen.

The wound was serious enough to stop him, but not enough to kill him. Her mother, stricken with guilt, called the police and fled alone, telling her daughter that she would be better here. Lilith is now left alone in the room with her tormenter, injured and at her mercy. It was at this point that she felt her first pull toward the darkness. She would take a tight hold of the hilt of the blade as she watched her father's eyes. The thoughts that ran through her head about what she could do now that she was strong and had the power But before she could reenact her revenge, she was stopped by a screaming neighbor who mistook the scene for Lilith accidentally stabbing her father and rushed in to comfort her. It held Lilith up for just long enough for the "heroes" and police to arrive, just in time to take away what she believed was her true justice.

Her father would be imminently hospitalized, and his trail would be held for child abuse once he was deemed well enough. This was enough to infuriate Lilith, who believed it was her right to punish him. With no other family for her to stay with, Lilith was forced into an orphanage, and as is customary with any child who has undergone such heartache, she is required to meet with a psychiatrist once a week. The psychiatrist was the first to see the darkness that hid within her, which he would do his best to correct, telling her to go out and make friends.

Lilith would take this not as an exercise to make friends but as a way to study. But the more she learned, the more she felt the pull of darkness—people suppressing themselves, hiding their demons. Subconsciously, they all reminded them of her father, an anger that boiled until she would begin to use her quirk on the children around her, using what she learned in watching them to pit them against one another, and for her, it felt good.

It would take a while for the psychiatrist to come up with a substantial way to deal with Lilith, so instead he would have to go with isolation. But leaving her alone with her thoughts only increased her madness as she would begin to wonder why the hero's association existed; they hadn't saved her; they'd only stolen, and thieves should be punished and brought down. The seed of hatred towards the heroes would begin to flourish within her during her isolation.

The psychiatrist's second plan would be to allow her to stream and speak with others. A sound idea at first, but without being in the vicinity of people, she could not use her quirk to create the mayhem she had conjured before. This gave birth to H4rm0nia, her online moniker. This tactic would seem to work much better than the others as her personality slowly began to evolve, becoming much more bubbly, energetic, and goofy, like any other normal child. But even with this, the darkness within would still continue to grow until it finally blossomed.

Small hints and comments were made to undermine the hero's creditability to those with whom she spoke online. Within the people she spoke to online, some would begin to idolize her, while others would begin to distance themselves and unfollow her, but Lilith didn't care. In this space, she could not only allow her own darkness to flourish but also guide others to see her truth. The heroes the people idolized and aspired to be like were false prophets, and she would shed light on their lies; she would bring them truth, show the world who they truly were, and bring forth the madness hidden behind the smiling faces of those heroes.

It wouldn't take long for her to put together a small bag with her essentials: a cellphone, a small tablet, chargers, her identification from school and personals, and spare clothing. (Including a uniform for a hero school the psychiatrist had enrolled her in.) With her things gathered, she would sneak out of the orphanage. To live, she would do odd jobs with the donations of her followers. But she would continue to amass followers and donors until she had enough to live comfortably on only the donations of her loyal followers. With her lifestyle now stabilized, Lilith was free to do what she truly wanted, and this is where the story of the villain known as Pandora begins.
