Writing isn't really my thing, but here we go. I guess for starters my name is Erika and I am an aspiring Hero or whatever you want to call it. Both of my parents are your average everyday people, but they have quirks so I guess they are a little on the spicy end of things. My father Jack is from the states. The United States that is and he is an electrician. His quirk pretty much allows him the manipulate the flow of electricity to a relatively basic degree. Great for trade work, but not really all that great for hero stuff.

I guess his quirk is likely the base of where my own comes from, but we aren't there just yet. My mother Karin on the other hand is from Tokyo Japan, how cliche right? She's is a physical therapist and works with athletes in grade school. Her quirk is more or less along the barriers of being in peak human shape, but beneath super human if that makes any sense. Again, its a good quirk for what she does for a living, but not anything that would be good for being a Hero.

Growing up she wished to be a track and field athlete and to compete all over the world, but her quirk sort of got in the way of that seeing as as it would put her unfairly above the competition. Anyways, my dad met my mother while on an extended vacation and one thing lead to another which ultimately lead him to moving and building a life here. That's where I come in. My upbringing has definitely been better than most, but like any kid living in the modern world I wanted more.

Super Heroes are everything, and because I'm born from two parents with quirks I am expecting to be the next big thing. Of course others in my school were thinking the same thing. Unfortunately the era of heroes did very little for how my goals would be perceived in school as I wished to be an athlete like my mother. Sorry dad, but trade work just doesn't do it for me. The guys in my class are annoying and the girls kind of just let them be because that's somehow expected of them.

No matter, I'm stubborn so I was just going to stand my ground and go toe to toe with them anyways. Naturally, I failed. I don't know what it was about me, but something just wouldn't click no matter how hard I played. As we reached the age old threshold one kid after another begin awakening their Quirks. I, like many others eagerly awaited my opportunity and hoped that it would give me the gift I felt were deemed worthy of being a Hero. I wouldn't have to wait as long as some did, but it still took longer than I hoped.

The guys I aimed to stand next to, or even over were already waving theirs around like they were better than everyone. I hated it, but finally my time came. One day on the playground I decided to race with the guys and other girls who wished to compete against them like myself, and after a terrible start something came over me. A power unlike anything I'd felt before surrounded me and in an instant I was more athletic than anyone in my class. School even. It was amazing! In your face jerks!

Girls rule! boys drool! From then on out my life saw nothing short of an upward trajectory. With the support of my amazing and hardworking parents I took up sports, and yes. WITHOUT the use of my quirk, I worked hard at school and brought home exceptional grades, and then I earned the respect of my peers by working out at the gym and lifting just like everyone else in the building. By the time I got older I was a fashion icon, and athlete, a scholar, and now soon to be on my way to starting my first day at U.A.
