» NAME: Xiangmei Nakano
» AGE: 19
» GENDER: Female
» AFFILIATION: Hero
» ALIAS: Rin-Gal Tiger
» OCCUPATION: Student
» CLASS: Department of Heroes

Xiangmei can be a bit contradictory when interacting with people. She enjoys attention and praise, but dislikes physical contact or yelling. She loves to show off her skills and be praised, but she’s unwilling to criticize most people.
Her aversion to physical contact comes from her time as a prisoner of the Circus of Man, where she was often struck and beaten. As such, witnessing unwarranted physical violence is likely to enrage her or make her panic, depending on the circumstances.
As a way of paying homage to the hero who lead the charge against the Circus, Xiangmei usually wears a pair of round orange shades or goggles over her eyes. While wearing these she’s able to be a bit more confident and self-reliant around others, but she gets nervous and antsy without them.
Ultimately Xiangmei wants nothing more than to make people happy. Given that she lacks many practical real-world skills, she channels this desire into her acrobatics and Quirk usage, wanting to make a performance out of her future hero work to bring smiles to the faces of the people she helps.

QUIRK NAME: Tora-peze
QUIRK RANK: C+
QUIRK TYPE: Emitter/Mutation
QUIRK DESCRIPTION:
Xiangmei’s Quirk is an odd sort of hybrid, combining two unrelated abilities in such a way that they can be used in a more versatile fashion. The first aspect this are special rings, or hoops, that Mei can create and place in the air. These rings can be a variety of sizes, with larger rings reducing the number she can create. These rings affect the speed of objects that pass through them, depending on Xiangmei’s will; they can either launch objects and people that pass through them at high speeds, or slow objects and people that pass through them down. She can even make them do neither, turning them into nothing but floating rings.
Using these properties, Xiangmei can fire off projectiles using objects in the environment, alter or slow the course of enemy attacks, make someone land safely by slowing their descent, and even propel herself at high speeds for both travel and combat purposes. And when not using their effects, they can also act as hand or footholds, or even restraints.
The second aspect of the Quirk is Xiangmei’s tiger-like body. While it makes her stronger and more agile than one might expect from a girl of her stature, the true value in her body’s form comes from how it allows her to orient herself and keep track of her surroundings; just as a cat always lands on their feet, so too can Xiangmei take advantage of her body’s instincts to right her position in midair and land safely. This is the biggest factor in her ability to use her Quirk for movement purposes, as it lets her function well at high speeds.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS:
In order for Xiangmei’s Quirk to take effect on an object or person, they must be able to fit cleanly through; that is to say they cannot be larger around than the ring itself. This is because if an object is too large, it won’t launch or slow them to prevent the object from being “partially” launched, which could rip it apart. Sort of a built-in failsafe to prevent it from being used in a directly offensive manner. As noted above, Xiangmei is also limited on how many she can produce; larger rings can only be made in smaller numbers. Her limit is also visible on her body; as Xiangmei creates rings, her tiger stripes will disappear in accordance with how many she has used; if for example she used up her entire “stock” of rings, she would no longer have any stripes visible. An observant opponent could take notice of this and act accordingly to what they see around them.
Furthermore, Mei’s rings only launch things in a straight line from where they enter, centering a passing object or person in the middle before shooting them straight ahead. As such, someone who notices where a ring is pointing can easily determine where an object launched by it will go. Xiangmei can also only use either the slowing effect or the launching effect one at a time; she cannot have half of her rings launching objects while the other half slow them down.
Finally, Xiangmei’s hoops themselves are only as durable as her Quirk rank. If an enemy were to destroy them, she would need to wait some time before being able to replace it, forcing her to rely on her Quirk’s mutation aspects for self defense (and given her aversion to direct combat, she isn’t the best at fighting this way).

SKILL NAME: Acrobatics
SKILL RANK: D+
SKILL DESCRIPTION:
Xiangmei’s ability to use her Quirk for mobility has also lead to her practicing acrobatics to make better use of this advantage, as well as enhancing her mobility options when not using that aspect of her Quirk. She’s fairly capable at the moment, thanks to her unfortunate time with the Circus of Man, but inactivity while recovering from her ordeal means she’s a long way off from her full potential.
