There wasn't anything that was going to get in her way! Mei continued to barrel towards The Storm with the others coming into view as she got closer and closer. Their numbers had seemingly dwindled but she wasn't going to worry about that as her only focus was putting The Storm into the dirt. He had it coming after trying to kill her with cars! What a fucking asshole. Her trajectory shifted slightly as The Storm acted up again, the winds blowing her off a direct crash course with the monster and instead putting her between Kenta and The Storm. Either way she was prepared to use her shoes to cushion the fall and use the momentum to punch him through the face. That was however unless fate had other plans.[break][break]

Damn tests. I can't get a fucking break with them.[break][break]
Mei stood outside of class, looking at the posted results from their last test up and down relentlessly. Somehow she hadn't managed to do any better this round than the last one a month ago. She had studied hard too! Even using Nanna as a study buddy despite her being in her freshman year. Whether she was aware or not, this would be her downfall as her little 'sister' was about as head empty as they come. With Mei being as academically challenged as they come they were a fantastic vigilante team, but an absolutely dog shit academic team.[break][break]
"Son of a fucking bitch." she said, gripping her horns in frustration as she snapped a picture. Nanna would sure as hell get an earful when she got home, as her stupid confidence in her answers gave her nothing to work with. She hadn't learned a thing! As she was about to leave and head to lunch her attention was brought to the big guy. With a major side eye she'd turn around with a scowl on her face as she'd crank her neck up. "Are you stupid? Just shake your head, freshie. It's a dumb bird it'll leave on its own." she would turn to leave, only stopping to ask a question "Why in the hell would you go inside knowing you had a freakin' BIRD in your hair?"

Well, things don't always work out the way you want them to.[break][break]
The assault everyone had launched against this guy seemed to be working and Mei was still floored that they were fighting alongside a literal dragon. Those were supposed to be made up! The broken bones of the enemy said otherwise. Mei was eager to wail on him and developed a bit of tunnel vision in the process, ignoring the others and focusing on the wind bag and her new dragon friend. Even the purple smoke didn't really phase her as the hallucinations it gave her were just her arguing with herself over and over again in a cacophony of sound. Annoying but not something she couldn't handle.[break][break]
Then she felt lighter.[break][break]
The upwell created by her opponent gave her no chance to resist the pull as she was ripped from the battlefield and thrown high into the sky "You piece of shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...t" the last was drawn out as cars came flying like buzzsaws at her which IF they hit her would definitely kill her outright. They were coming at a lower elevation and because of the windbag being focused on the ground, once she was free and began to fall would play a game of leapfrog. Incredibly dangerous for anyone who wasn't her to trying to vault off something spinning that fast would be too disorienting. Thank god for quirks, huh? She would land on the first one, spinning with it as her sensory system immediately adapted to the new equilibrium and she effortlessly leapt to the next one and then the final one before she would dive in a free fall.[break][break]

Mei’s most dominant traits are her apparent lack of common sense, utter fearlessness, and unwavering belief in herself. She generally marches at the beat of her own drum, unwilling to approach anything in a delicate or nuanced matter. Some people may describe her as stupid, but it’s more appropriate to frame this as ignorance as she is willing to learn new things but struggles to understand concepts presented to her in a certain way.
As ignorant as she can be, Mei can be very sharp in her own way. This is applicable primarily when it comes to logic traps and fallacies due to her ignoring anything that she can't understand in favor of what she can; it offers a perspective that most critical thinkers aren’t able to possess naturally. It's not her only advantage, as this simple viewpoint also means that she’s confident in what is real to her and doesn’t fool herself when it comes to doubt, as she relies on her instincts. If something is too simple to be seen, count on her seeing it.
Mei is the type of person to lose all sense of rationality once her temper flares up. In particularly thought-provoking or frustrating situations where she cannot fully grasp what is going on, her default state is to get angry. She will grab the proverbial “Idiot Ball” and not let go, as if it was made of super glue. Due to her small stature, she doesn’t come off nearly as threatening as she thinks she does, usually resulting in further frustration.
Overall Mei is a confident and bold young woman with an unshakable character. More than anything, Mei is determined to stay true to herself no matter what.

What can be said about your average girl who becomes a crime fighter?
Well, frankly…a lot, but I won’t bore you with the details. I’ve got two parents who work in business, so they’re busy a lot, and I’m an only child. I don’t know if that was always the plan or if they realized that after I was born, but honestly, I don’t mind it. It means I don’t gotta fight with anyone over my stuff.
Quirk isn’t anything exceptional compared to some of the bomb-ass superpowers people have, like laser vision or heat vision. I just got a good sense of balance which my mom says when I first stood up as a baby, I never fell again. Like I said, nothing too crazy.
Dad’s Chinese and mom’s half Chinese half Japanese which meant I mostly grew up in China. It was fine, nothing too crazy over there made a few good friends, including my best friend. Dang, I miss her, but she’ll visit soon!... I hope. When I was 15, we moved to Japan since my mom had some relatives here, and my parents also wanted me to enroll in UAU. They said, “My schooling in China didn’t help me,” which…do they think I’m dumb? Okay, well, sort of true, but damn, that shit hurts. So they figured because my grandma on my mom's side is a really good tutor that, moving there would help my grades so I could get into university. Well, shoot it does, but like…holy crap, are the Vigilantes pretty cool. It’s like that comic with the guy who dresses up like a Capybara and fights crime during the night.
Grandma isn’t as strict as Mom or dad after all, she’s a retired hero or whatever, so even though she could have busted me, she helps me. She makes me a unique and bright costume to hide my identity and tells me she’ll only let me keep doing this if I enroll at UAU. There’s always a catch but sure, being able to be a superhero without any stupid nonsense is a good enough reason. Between that and working at a boba tea shop, year 1 and year 2 fly by. It was only a few months ago that my parents decided to host another UAU student. I…don’t know what to think about her, but we get along at the very least. Plus, it’s like being an older sister!

Due to a mutation in her brain that effectively turns her into a gyroscope, Mei has an exceptionally well-developed sense of balance and positioning of her limbs with complete control over her center of gravity. This combination makes her virtually impossible to be knocked down/imbalanced, falling, and able to recover from momentary imbalances nearly instantly.
She automatically achieves a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. She can adjust her position by instinct, enabling her to perfectly balance herself on any object, no matter how small, narrow, or unstable. Even if she touched down on an unstable surface for a millisecond, her body would automatically right itself in the best way possible to maintain this equilibrium.

[b]QUIRK DRAWBACKS:[/b] Liánhuā is a class of quirk that entirely depends on the user's physical attributes. When Mei is debuffed, or her brain is targeted, the quirk is effectively useless. It is only as good as her physical attributes.
Quirks that can alter gravity as also a major problem for her. In a high-gravity situation, even if she can balance herself, she still needs to push against the forces of gravity. With antigravity, she’s unable to get her bearings resulting in her quirk failing until the forces of gravity are reapplied.

Mei’s most dominant traits are her apparent lack of common sense, utter fearlessness, and unwavering belief in herself. She generally marches at the beat of her own drum, unwilling to approach anything in a delicate or nuanced matter. Some people may describe her as stupid, but it’s more appropriate to frame this as ignorance as she is willing to learn new things but struggles to understand concepts presented to her in a certain way.
As ignorant as she can be, Mei can be very sharp in her own way. This is applicable primarily when it comes to logic traps and fallacies due to her ignoring anything that she can't understand in favor of what she can; it offers a perspective that most critical thinkers aren’t able to possess naturally. It's not her only advantage, as this simple viewpoint also means that she’s confident in what is real to her and doesn’t fool herself when it comes to doubt, as she relies on her instincts. If something is too simple to be seen, count on her seeing it.
Mei is the type of person to lose all sense of rationality once her temper flares up. In particularly thought-provoking or frustrating situations where she cannot fully grasp what is going on, her default state is to get angry. She will grab the proverbial “Idiot Ball” and not let go, as if it was made of super glue. Due to her small stature, she doesn’t come off nearly as threatening as she thinks she does, usually resulting in further frustration.
Overall Mei is a confident and bold young woman with an unshakable character. More than anything, Mei is determined to stay true to herself no matter what.

What can be said about your average girl who becomes a crime fighter?
Well, frankly…a lot, but I won’t bore you with the details. I was born pretty sickly, always need to wear a mask, even to this day. I’ve got two parents who work in business, so they’re busy a lot, and I’m an only child. I don’t know if that was always the plan or if they realized that after I was born, but honestly, I don’t mind it. It means I don’t gotta fight with anyone over my stuff. Plus I'm sure the fact that I was born with horns wasn't exactly making mom super eager for another.
Quirk isn’t anything exceptional compared to some of the bomb-ass superpowers people have, like laser vision or heat vision. I just got a good sense of balance which my mom says when I first stood up as a baby, I never fell again. Like I said, nothing too crazy.
Dad’s Chinese and mom’s half Chinese half Japanese which meant I mostly grew up in China. It was fine, nothing too crazy over there made a few good friends, including my best friend. Dang, I miss her, but she’ll visit soon!... I hope. When I was 15, we moved to Japan since my mom had some relatives here, and my parents also wanted me to enroll in UAU. They said, “My schooling in China didn’t help me,” which…do they think I’m dumb? Okay, well, true, but damn, that shit hurts. So they figured because my grandma on my mom's side is a really good tutor, moving there would help my grades so I could get into university. Well, shoot it does, but like…holy crap, are the Vigilantes pretty cool. It’s like that comic with the guy who dresses up like a Capybara and fights crime during the night.
Grandma isn’t as strict as Mom or Dad after all; she’s a retired hero or whatever, so even though she could have busted me, she helps me. She makes me a unique and bright costume to hide my identity and tells me she’ll only let me keep doing this if I enroll at UAU. There’s always a catch, but sure, being able to be a superhero without any stupid nonsense is a good enough reason—between that and working at a boba tea shop, year one and year two fly by. Only a few months ago, my parents decided to host another UAU student. I…don’t know what to think about her, but we get along at the very least. Plus, it’s like being an older sister!

Due to a mutation in her brain that effectively turns her into a gyroscope, Mei has an exceptionally well-developed sense of balance and positioning of her limbs with complete control over her center of gravity. This combination makes her virtually impossible to be knocked down/imbalanced, falling, and able to recover from momentary imbalances nearly instantly.
She automatically achieves a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. She can adjust her position by instinct, enabling her to perfectly balance herself on any object, no matter how small, narrow, or unstable. Even if she touched down on an unstable surface for a millisecond, her body would automatically right itself in the best way possible to maintain this equilibrium.

[b]QUIRK DRAWBACKS:[/b] Liánhuā is a class of quirk that entirely depends on the user's physical attributes. When Mei is debuffed, or her brain is targeted, the quirk is effectively useless. It is only as good as her physical attributes.
Quirks that can alter gravity as also a major problem for her. In a high-gravity situation, even if she can balance herself, she still needs to push against the forces of gravity. With antigravity, she’s unable to get her bearings resulting in her quirk failing until the forces of gravity are reapplied.

"OH HELL YEAH!" Mei called out as her foot connected with the man. It was more likely that the car did most of the damage but Mei wasn't exactly thinking straight...or at all. She would flip back off the car, landing on her feet with ease even from the height of the drop due to her support gear. Feeling vindicated, she decided to break her tunnel vision and actually take in her surroundings for the first time since she had teamed up with Dragon Lady.[break][break]
"Huh?" she looked over to see another person a few feet away from her giving her praise. Clearly, he's a kid. Why was that clear? dunno; he just had the freshman energy, plus she had never seen him before "Thanks, freshie. Don't get distracted!" Her eyes darted back to see the wind scythes flying towards them. She was ready to dive out of the way when she noticed they had slowed down substantially [break][break]
"You do that?" she pointed, catching her breath before the dragon lady from earlier came crashing down in front of them. "Hold him still!" she would roll up her sleeve "I'm gonna punch him this time!" she moved around the wind blades coming at her and ran forward hoping that the guy would remain in place long enough to wail on him.

Mei was too angry to notice that there was more facing the windy guy than just her and her dragon. She wouldn't admit it but flying was super cool, and she could see why Nanna chose to bounce around. The jealousy just made her angry, and luckily she had the perfect outlet for that.[break][break]
Spitting out the dust and dirt from opening her mouth when flying, she went silent, trying to focus on how best to kick the wind guy in the fucking face. She was going to kick him in the face for sure but how...? She snapped back into reality for a moment to see the car flying at them, and she covered her mouth with her hands and shouted "CAR" to bring it to Tamaki's attention. Didn't seem like it was even necessary, as Mei was impressed when Tamaki caught it effortlessly. Strong and fast, huh? If she had known she was a vigilante like herself, she would have exchanged contact info right then and there. Having a dragon in her back pocket was something she didn't know she needed until now. Nonetheless, as if Tamaki could read her mind, she wanted to send the car back to the guy with a special delivery of Mei. "Don't need to. I won't fall off until I kick his teeth in." arrogant, sure, but her quirk did mean that she didn't need to worry about keeping herself steady. She would crouch during the wind-up and sail through the air on the hood of the car, surfing through the wind and adjusting her feet whenever she felt any turbulence "GET READY, YOU ASSHOLE!"[break][break]

Mei happened to be in Meguro around the time the madness went down. She was too impatient to sit around and watch the news but had good instincts and thought it would be a great time to go out and thwart some crime while everyone was glued to their TVs. They are a bunch of morons; why watch a trial when you can CAUSE a trial...she was not a villain. Just putting people away from their crimes was her deal.[break][break]
Her whole family had initially wanted to sit down and watch it, so Mei quickly made up an excuse that she had to work. Luckily for her, Nanna was also home and was quick to back her up, even though Mei was terrible at lying. She had texted to see if she wanted to come out, but she said no as she had "homework". Mei took her bike to Meguro and stored it away before she changed into her vigilante outfit and headed out into the streets. As she turned around to inspect the area, she was just in time to see her bike flying at her, which she narrowly dodged and then watched as it flew into the sky. "WHO THE HELL?" she saw red shouting before she was sent flying, only to collide with a literal dragon. Mei was pissed enough not to care about the details. "If you can fly, take me to whatever the hell did this! I'm gonna kick them in the face", and just like that, she was in the claws of Tamaki as they headed towards the eye of the storm. The harsh winds were making her hard of hearing and she could barely make out what Tamaki said, shouting back "Whaaaat?" before she was cut off with a mouth full of dirt.[break][break]

"How many times do I have to tell you-" Mei was slightly out of breath as she used her quirk in combination with her shoes to run up the alley wall below Nanna. "You don't say that to the bad guy when you've almost got them!" she would pull herself up over the ledge and flip back onto her feet just in time to watch the criminal they were chasing speed away again. A frown washed over her face as she took a minute to breathe. On flat ground, she was faster than Nanna even with her quirk in place, but there was hardly a difference when it came to a chase on elevation. "Nanna- Nanna, stop!" she was trying to get her 'sister' to come back down. "God damn it. I don't know about you but we need a better plan. This guy is a giant pain in the ass and I can't keep running on these rooftops to keep up." she wiped some sweat off her forehead, cursing her lack of stamina compared to her sister. "What you got?" Mei's eyebrow twitched at the smarmy response from the lanky freshman. It didn't take much to piss her off, but this guy's dumb face was easily in the top 10....and then he spoke about money. Okay, Top 5; what a Dumbass. [break][break]
"What in the hell are you talking about, man." Who the hell starts a conversation like that? Ignoring that, she started the conversation with violence because that was already in the past and justified. "I'm a college student. I'm broke, just like you and everyone else here." She did have her courier job, but that was to make some spending money, and it didn't pay much anyway. [break][break]
"I don't give a shit if you stick around. Just move from my spot or I'll make you move" her stomach growled loud enough for Sebastian as if punishing her for her aggression and unwarranted abuse. Her cheeks would turn a bit red as she was slightly embarrassed. "Don't you dare." as if anticipating him commenting on her 'outburst' she decided to strike first, so to speak.

One of the few things related to school that Mei looked forward to was dance class. It was an off-campus extracurricular that was an option for anyone regardless of their discipline and one that was seldom utilized. It was a nice reprieve as she was the only upperclassman to take advantage of this, and there weren't any freshmen either. Her friends in the class were all from other universities, and Mei surprisingly got along with them extremely well. As well as she could get along with anyone, that is.[break][break]
With her clothes in a bag over her shoulder, she made her way outside of the school to the bus stop that was nearby. Class being over for the day meant that she had plenty of time to get there, and yet instead of grabbing food on campus, she opted to eat at the bus stop while she was waiting. Placing her bag in front of her, she rumbled through it before pulling out a riceball Nanna had made this morning. She begrudgingly had to admit that Nanna was the superior cook, and she actively looked forward to the days when she made lunch for the both of them. Unwrapping it delicately, she took a big bite taking a quick glance at her phone which let her know there were about 5 minutes left before the bus would arrive. What a pain in the ass. Mei thought to herself as she dragged herself from another boring lecture. She hated classes, and if it weren't due to the pressure her family put on her, she would have just dropped out and become a full-time vigilante! and part-time restaurant worker, but that was neither here nor there. What was important was lunch! Even with a dorm on campus, she frequently bounced between her own home and her dorm room, with the previous night having been at home. Nanna had made her own bento and offered to make Mei one which was an offer she couldn't refuse. Overall, it was going to be a pretty good day! From lunch, she had a few more classes and then dance and the- huh?[break][break]
She stopped in her tracks as she reached her favorite spot on campus, a frown plastering her face as she looked at this unthinkable site. Some lanky old man...wait, no he just had white hair. She would approach to get a closer look as the man was sound asleep, and while Mei wasn't book smart, she was very good at remembering faces. After 3 years at UAU, she could play most of the 2nd Years and all of the 3rd Years. It must have meant this jerk was a freshman. Yuck [break][break]
She would gently place the bento box she had made delicately on the ground near her but out of range of the blast zone. With a wind up she would give a solid karate chop to the boy's skull, crossing her arms as she looked down at him "What are you doing in my spot, freshman" It...well it wasn't really a question. Any idiot could see what he was doing and Mei was a different kind of idiot
