One of the few things related to school that Mei looked forward to was dance class. It was an off-campus extracurricular that was an option for anyone regardless of their discipline and one that was seldom utilized. It was a nice reprieve as she was the only upperclassman to take advantage of this, and there weren't any freshmen either. Her friends in the class were all from other universities, and Mei surprisingly got along with them extremely well. As well as she could get along with anyone, that is.[break][break]

With her clothes in a bag over her shoulder, she made her way outside of the school to the bus stop that was nearby. Class being over for the day meant that she had plenty of time to get there, and yet instead of grabbing food on campus, she opted to eat at the bus stop while she was waiting. Placing her bag in front of her, she rumbled through it before pulling out a riceball Nanna had made this morning. She begrudgingly had to admit that Nanna was the superior cook, and she actively looked forward to the days when she made lunch for the both of them. Unwrapping it delicately, she took a big bite taking a quick glance at her phone which let her know there were about 5 minutes left before the bus would arrive. A pretty good day so far![break][break]

True athletes knew the secret to success in their endeavors. Carbo-loading. At least that’s the excuse Momo used to explain why she was currently consuming enough sticky skewers of dango to put a grown man in a diabetic coma before her first dance class in Japan. They were almost as good as the pastries back home. Almost. Either way, they gave her the much needed sugar rush to maintain appalling levels of energy and cheerfulness.

Momo was full to the brim with the bubbly combo as she bounded up to the bus stop. Only to see someone else was already there. The realization came a little too late and what was supposed to be a skid to a stop became more like a slide into home base as Momo crashed into the bus stop bench.

“Safe,” she muttered under her breath in a daze before shaking her head and hopping up. Both Momo and her uniform covered in dirt now as well as sticky marks from her after class snack now looked a little worse for wear. That didn’t stop her from chirping out a surprisingly convincing, “I’m good!” Not that anyone had time to ask yet. It happened so fast that the collision and declaration both seemed like a habit. A very concerning habit. Momo didn’t help her case by going through her routine pat down of self and belongings to double check that all her parts and pieces were accounted for, including her gym bag.
