That wasn't something that was important enough to fight her over, not at all. With things going smoothly, he realized that it was a start in the right direction. She was hot, she said yes, and they were going on a date. In Aiko's eyes, things were going in the right direction.

"Hm, I know a good ramen shop if you're up for that. I don't mind sharing something with you if you want to try it." Aiko was a giving person, only when he wanted to be. Getting a girl to like him? "Really more than you're getting now, obviously." He would smirk at his own comment, feeling pretty proud of himself and the way that he was bring it across. With how Jun was talking, it was obvious that she had no clue what he meant; to him, that was just so adorable. She probably hadn't had a conversation like this in a long time, if ever. She wasn't ugly, but the way that she dressed wasn't really giving that she wanted to be bothered and pursued. If only she just made more effort with her most important parts, she'd be a bombshell.

"Ah, I have some ideas. Maybe we could go to eat something to eat, then get ice cream and walk through the park? If you're feeling like you like me, you can come back with me to my place." He'd keep a neutral expression, wanting to see if she was even considering a request like that. It was a wild one, and one that most people would be skeptical to accept something like that. "Sure, we can go on a date, but it's not like I'm an expert or anything like that. I wouldn't hold your breath into thinking that it's anything special." Aiko really didn't care for dates, only the aftermath of it all. With the touching thing, he would just nod along to the response. "Sure yeah, I guess we have a deal." He would show her the phone, dangle it again, before putting it under his arm. "You free right now? Unless, you want to wait longer to get your phone back."

"Secret, does it matter?" I mean, it wouldn't take that much thinking to come up with a few reasons as to why Aiko had the phone, but that was besides the point. Aiko didn't even know much about her, but the way that she was acting was making it too tempting not to tease her. "Ah, not so fast, hot-head." The nickname seemed to fit her, so he'd choose to stick with it until he was proven otherwise.

"All I know is that he looked super scared of you and handed it to me thinking that I would, I don't know, steal it permanently." He wasn't going to really do anything like that; it wasn't worth it to make someone like her angry long-term unless it was something he started. "I dunno, what do you think your phone is worth? It'd be a shame if I took it and looked through your messages. I'm sure you have a lot of embarrassing messages." She for sure had some type of phone diary, nerd. "Okay, see you later!" He would wave back into his store as moved out of it at the end of his shift. Honestly, his work had been giving him some stupid shifts that it was making it hard to have a life outside of work. Even if he made plans with people there was no consistency with the days that he worked or the times, which made it hard for him to want to do anything but go home and sleep after work.

With a bit of a yawn, he would absent-mindedly walk only for a distressed man to come up to him. "What, I'm not holding your shi-" before he could even protest, the phone was placed in his hands and he was left to just stand there in disbelief. Looking down to the phone, he wasn't able to tell who's it was. Looking up again though, a red ball of fury came towards him, albeit a short one. "Oh, the strawberry girl, sup?" He'd cross his arms, smiling down to her. "Where'd who go? That shitbag your boyfriend or something. To be honest, I feel like you could do better. Maybe you're with him for his legs or something but he seemed... I dunno, weak." A shrug, as if he knew he could do better. "If you fought or something, he's obviously scared of you- with how you look right now, I would be too. Anger doesn't look good on you, babes."

"You're like... 3 feet or something, at best." He'd say, very confident in his inaccurate assessment of her height. "I don't make the rules, all I see is the difference between you and me. You'd be kissin' ma abs or something if we hugged." He'd shrug off the thought, moving onto the next issue at hand. "It's not that healthy I suppose, to fry stuff, so maybe it's best that you aren't. You don't want to ruin that pretty skin of yours because you ate a lot of greasy food. But if you want something easy, it may be better to just order some. I know a good place a few blocks from here if you're interested." He'd motion off to the left of him, as if signaling that it was across the street and down that way.

"Jun, nice." He'd look her up and down, as if to analyze of that name worked for her. It was something, but it was cute. "I'm sure you got a lot of cute nicknames." He'd stop, before pointing to his nametag; in black lettering, it read Aiko Avetia. "That's mine, nice to meet you, I usually don't have people introduce themselves to me."

"They're super in season right now. You wouldn't want to get them when they're not, because then they are either over-ripe or underripe just to get enough stock, you know?" She probably didn't know, but that's why he was there; what on earth would she do without him? Would it even make a difference if she had such a strawberry- would she even be able to tell? Aiko didn't think about things like that right now, perhaps a bit too lost in his customer service training.

"Super, well, you know where they are." He'd start to turn to leave her alone, before another question would be prompted of him. "Uh, like fry oil?" He'd blink, thinking it was obvious. "Or were you thinking more air fry? We don't have any appliances here, but we have some potatoes if you want to cut them up- or maybe we got some frozen ones too? Those sell out fast." Without even looking to her, he would move over to the frozen aisle section, clutching onto his chin as if he had some long, wise beard. "Little lady, we do two have some, want it?" Maybe his customer servicing was going a bit too hard, or maybe he was just enjoying himself to actually be asked to help.

He'd just stare at her, perhaps a bit too long. Was she dumb or something? When she didn't move to pick anything up, he'd just sigh, lean down and start to grab up things from the floor for her. Aiko didn't pay too much mind to care about what she was buying; it wasn't his job to be nosy. After he gently grabbed them all up, he'd offer them to the girl, almost nudging them closer to her. "May want to get something better to carry it all in if you're going to drop half it on yourself." He'd give her a quick up and down, but it looked like she was mostly okay herself. "And uh, watch it." Aiko didn't mind too much, but he didn't want to have to mop the floors again if she so happened to spill something all over her or himself in the process of her being clumsy. With that, he'd wait until she grabbed all of her items from him, before moving to go and restock some things in the fridge section. His coworker just looked between them, an eyebrow raised, before going back to looking at their phone.

With Aiko going back to restocking, he saw that there was a lot of new products that were coming in, like strawberry milk, strawberry sandwiches and other strawberry things. Hm, if only he liked strawberries that much to want to try everything else out. Looking back to the girl, he would tilt his head to see where she was. "You're a girl right? You want some strawberry shit?"

Fuck yeah, a smoke break. He'd light it up, the ember colors covering up the features of his face and eventually drowning it out in a deep gray smoke. He knew that he shouldn't smoke, but it was a type of cheap luxury that he'd been unable to have in his small town. He'd puff out the colored air, now accustomed to the taste and feeling that he had no reason to cough anymore.

He took his sweet time before he knew that his co-worker was going to get on his case before coming back inside. Using the complimentary hand sanitizer at the door, he felt a lot cleaner knowing that his hands were ready to touch whatever he wanted to. He'd walk in, not a care in the world, and not watch at all where he was going. To his surprise, they actually had a customer. They ran into him, hitting him in the back of the legs and almost knocking him over. "Fucking hell dude, would you-" Aiko reeled to look, only to see some pipsqueak red-head behind him. "Jeez, watch it, yeah?" Rather than get mad, he'd just huff a breath out, give her a quick up and down with his eyes in disapproval, before pushing her hand cart closer to her body. "You could knock someone out with that, careful."

Late nights were nothing new for Aiko. Being a janitor for a convenience store not too far away from his place, he tried his best to get the most amount of shifts as he could. Listening to music over the speakers and being the only one there other than the cashier, he'd mind his business and clean as he was meant to.

It was sometimes a little too all the same, as sometimes he found himself cleaning the same thing over and over again every night just to look like he was doing something. With a sigh, he'd look over to his coworker and nod, pointing to the trash bag in his hand. With another nod of approval, he would move to go out the back exit to dispose of the trash and recycling that he had accumulated from cleaning and taking out expired products.

Stashing a few things until his work bag from his "expired" stash, he would promptly head outside and move to dump the trash. At the same time, it would serve as a nice smoke break for him, hopefully.
