sling shot Where was Riley...? It felt like that thought kept rattling around in her head, their sibling opted to move and poof...nothing. Although some folks she tried to talk to told them they were being too clingy of a sister to their sibling and it just...was it denial or fact? Was it so bad to be worried about a family member's well-being? It didn't strike the petite, pink haired woman's thoughts as being a bad thing to care as much as she did. Sure...Riley would steal her stuff and then they would wear it in front of her, didn't even click cause she always gave them the benefit of a doubt. Tucking the dark, accusatory thoughts away in a little box...so much that those vibrant green eyes became blind to Riley's crimes against her. They were small, forgivable things...not once did it upset her that they would do that. There were a few things money couldn't replace, but most of them could be. Never did it feel malicious, just a bad habit of some kind and...all Jaida wanted to do was help. Though failing at becoming a Pro Hero, witnessing first hand the corruption through the actions of some douchecanoe named Rolio motivated her to do things differently. There were other ways to become a hero and it didn't have to be part of the system, either. Not like she'd want to work with trashy corpos like that anyway, all they really cared about fell in line with fame, glory and how big their paycheck could be. They disgusted her so damn much, all she could do was try to play keep away from the overly glorified corpos and hope they'd just stay in their lane or whatever. The only good thing they did was help people, even if it was for greedy as hell purposes. As long as they helped people and didn't just ignore their plight...then...they could co-exist or something, maybe. Idly skating along, the singular red earbud was programmed to hijack the airwaves for basic information from a burner phone running one of her carefully crafted programs. Though it was a little broken up and could definitely use dome tweaks, she could hear a familiar voice she'd heard boisterously upon the T.V more often than not between the crackles. As those bright green optics glanced around and about the area, she blinked a few times as she cupped her hand over her ear while eaves dropping on the corpo emergency line. Picking up her speed as she heard drunks and what she could have sworn was teenage delinquents. As far as she could tell, it didn't seem like they were interested in doing jack diddly about it... Visibly rolling her eyes as she picked up the dismissive attitude these folks were putting down, she was glad her program made it so she'd only hear one way and nothing she said would be picked up. The microphone was disabled to help prevent that when this thing was doing its business. "It could be worse~" Musing those words out loud to herself, she kept a keen eye out for her surroundings and...OH YUP! IT GOT WORSE! Seeing the larger than life, Titanomachia herself...looks like it was the boisterous woman she'd seen soaking up as much attention as she could from being suuuuuuuuuch a good hero. Just her luck....go figure! Whatever, it seemed like she was distracted with a stretch and boy howdy, she sure didn't know a lot of folks who stretched with their eyes open! Picking up her speed, she wasn't sure how good or bad the giant woman's hearing was...so it was better to be safe rather than sorry! Kicking her heel off the ground, guiding her into a hop as the wheels beneath her feet flattened and provided a little more of a boost to hover her about a foot above the ground. Quietly zooming on by as her bright pig tails whipped about behind her, taking a sharp turn in hopes of avoiding the blue haired hero's sight. Though without realizing it, she got juuuust a bit caught in the peripheral zone which...eh! Didn't bother her, none! After all, she had her gaze locked on some teens in the distance who were spray painting....geeze their writing was kinda garbage...uhhhhhhhh....well she squinted a bit while getting closer and finally saw the writing on the wall, PRO HEROES SUCK. "I agree, but this ain't it, kids!" Stopping in place, she set her feet upon the ground and... "RUN! IT'S THE FUZZ!" They quartet of delinquents dropped their cans and began to bolt, "The fuzz? Wha--?" That...was a first. "SCATTER!" Watching them break off into different directions, she let out a sigh...theeeeen her eyes widened as the boy in a red hoodie flung a fire ball that zipped right past her head and burst like a fire work! Rubbing her eyes for a moment, she felt the sparks burn her cheek and let out a yelp...gods she was rusty! With her eyes darting around...she tried to see where they went, but it was like half of her vision devolved into a blur of vague shapes and rainbow-ish bubbles from the light being so close to her face. Moving one foot in front of the other, she quickened her pace trying to walk after one of the vague, familiar looking shapes, trying to follow after the panicked kids who mistook her for a pro. WHICH......was kiiiiiiinda blegh...but whatever! The vigilante knew she had to catch up to them and possibly stop them from hurting someone out of fear or something! They were just kids, after all... ....kinda reminded her of Riley when they were younger, but not a bunch since they weren't a violent sort as far as she could tell. Anywho...it was time to be her own brand of hero, or try! |

Some people like walks in the park, Jaida likes tinkering with mecha models and making them functional for fun! Not to mention she loves hitting up candy stores and practically lives off of sugar and lollipops. Of course, when people question her diet, she just laughs maniacally and will explain that protein shakes suffice well enough. Of course, this won't stop her from taking up suggestions to trying new types of food, stuffing her face or trying to turn it into a date where the person hassling her has to pay for it. All in all, she's a very upbeat, optimistic ray of sunshine and rainbows more often than not and constantly looking on the bright side of life. Her motto is it could be worse, which she firmly believes is very true since things could always be worse than they are. When it comes to her accomplishments in life, she happily blabbers on about it, unintentionally getting carried away and seeming like she's gloating in the most polite way possible. Always wondering how others are doing and seeing if there's absolutely anything she can do to improve the life of someone she cares about. If something is small and cute, or just cute to any capacity....namely mechas or fluffy things, then Jaida is all for it. There is a deep seeded root of being there for her family, but also having her own sense of justice so it becomes a wee bit conflicting for her whenever it comes down to Riley since she wants to to help them, but sometimes they're doing things she doesn't quite agree with. Even when they steal her stuff, she tries to give Riley the benefit of a doubt SO MUCH that she's not always quick to draw the conclusion of isn't that my necklace right out the gate. BUT WILL SURE NOTICE THAT IT LOOKS VERY MUCH LIKE IT! Sometimes, she likes to go on brainstorming tangents, especially if someone will listen to her. Though she has her own set of morality and rules, she's prone to twisting things around here and there to make it more to her liking. Although Jaida tends to lean into a feminine look, she tends to have some tomboy-ish style to her and can dress to look more masculine when need-be. Dubbing herself as fun-sized, they are absolutely shorter than many folks yet it doesn't bother her at all! Despite how much junk food she eats, there isn't much body fat to be found, probably because of that overly active life style she's got goin' on. When she's just living life casually, she tends to have blonde hair with pink highlights. Though she tends to have way too much fun with hair dye thanks to her natural blonde locks, but she also has a tendency to wear wigs, too, when she can't be arsed to wait for dye to set in. In a way, she's a gal of many faces, but she claims to just be really good with make-up and stuff which is a half-truth. When she's gonna stir up some vigilante justice, she tries to look different from the face she was born with juuuust enough to avoid being easily recognized. Though another notable thing about this strawberry lemonade swirl blonde is that she's got some unusually sharp chompers! When it comes to her hair, it's sometimes just down, but it's usually up in buns, pig tails, braids, a pony tail and even mix the styles up a bit. [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]HISTORY Being the eldest of three kids, Jaida's mom, dad and popsidoodle had puh-reeeeeeetty high expectations of her to the point where she didn't want to let them down in the slightest. They were always so happy and proud whenever she accomplished the goals they politely set before her, so she strove to be the best she could be for everyone, herself included. Even though it stressed her out a bit at first, her goal was to find something she was really good at and then use that to make her parents proud of her. In a way, she adored the praise and didn't want it to stop like an emotional high...so much that she would happily report to everyone about her advancements and stability in life. If it made mom, dad and popsidoodle proud, then everyone else would too...right? Well, her sibling, Riley, was constantly left in the dust...Jaida picked up on that as she tried to be more attentive of them, talking to them about their life and what they were doing while trying to cheer them up by how well her own life was going. Whether or not this was part of why Riley developed a bit of a hooligan streak, Jaida's unsure of what aside from maybe how they didn't get as much attention as herself or their youngest brother. Either way, she tried her best to be a good sister, but when she found out Riley was getting into law breaking brands trouble, she figured it might be good to become a hero of some kind to protect them from getting in a serious mess they'd regret. Everything was all too little too late and she couldn't do anything to save Riley from the grasp of the law and she felt powerless. Despite all the praise for keeping a stable job and getting better with creating little bits of tech here and there, still... She couldn't save them from that fate... A failure. It was an absolute failure and she wasn't going to give up, failures were just lessons, stepping stones to improving something you're not good at! So that's when she decided to work on practicing her quirk so she could become an actual hero, it wasn't the most obvious, in your face thing but she was a creative soul who thought out of the box and knew beyond reasonable doubt that it was possible! When the time came for the field test licensing, it was with a group and all the others had more fancy quirks and one of them could control spherical shapes such as rocks and marbles. Those were exactly the tools Jaida used and her parents were for sure rooting for her, though she hoped Riley was too since they were her inspiration. Though she put in the work by strategically utilizing her quirk, it looked like Rollio was the one who got credit for all she did... ...even though she was offering strategies, it wasn't enough since she had to pull her weight on the field. Part of her was shattered and even though she was consoled by her parents, Jaida could tell they were disappointed... ...it wasn't fair. Yet, she had a goal to be her own damn brand of hero and she'd make sure she'd get good enough to intervene to at least be a distraction in the event Riley stumbled again. That would be enough for Jaida to be an accomplishment all the same, so now she's doing the best she can for herself while trying to be the best big sister she can possibly be! Even though she hadn't seen Riley in years...still, that's the dream! Well, the MAIN dream aside from getting a job somewhere that would feel like a technological playground with steady income that could help her aspirations further. Who knows what the future holds, but she's gonna stick it to THE MAAAAAAAAAAN and show the world her brand of justice! QUIRK RANK: B QUIRK TYPE: Mutation QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Providing the user with skin that has a great deal of elasticity, it leaves the user feeling pretty energetic and they're sturdy as could be! It's like someone turned the saying "I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever you say goes straight back to you" into a more literal sense. Putting her fingers, hands, feet, toes, arms, legs together for prolonged periods of time and pulling it apart will make a thick band that works like a slingshot. Since her skin is more like rubber, it operates as a splendid counter against electricity. Not to mention her bones have a density akin to thick rubber. The user's skin can create varying sized bands, or being pulled up and attached to things such as a bow, as examples of their versatility for using sections and segments of her skin. She can also pinch and move her skin around to make herself look different due to her rubber-like body since her skin has a great deal of elasticity & her bones are akin to thick rubber. Another perk is being able to get rid of, or change her finger prints after applying heat. QUIRK DRAWBACKS: Oil and her skin DO NOT get along, it makes her skin slippery and unable to connect or stretch...sometimes even a little melty which hurts. Greasy foods ARE NOT her friend, so something incredibly greasy will actually hinder and hurt her stomach. Much like with regular rubber, she can insulate heat pretty darn well, but extreme temperatures will hurt a great deal and even cause her flesh + bone to melt at about 356 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius). Just because she has a rubbery body, doesn't mean she can be pulled apart and stretched out far distances, elongating her body is limited by 30 inches (2.5 feet) all around: anything beyond that will start causing dislocated bones, tendons to rip and in extreme cases, internal bleeding. Fingerprints come back after a day, so if she wants to keep those gone it needs to be maintained! [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]SKILLS SKILL NAME: DISGUISES EVERYWHERE!
