Toshiro wasn’t very well off as a child, his parents being what can generally be seen as lower class in terms of social status, they still worked extremely hard to give Toshi an upbringing that went beyond someone of his stature.

Part of it was trying to motivate the young child to learn various talents, from singing to playing piano, he was eventually discovered early in his teens by an advertising company who for a short while made him their advertising mascot. It was a quick start into more, and his fame would grow further, before eventually as a sixteen year old landing the leading role as “Golden Boy”, a precocious detective-slash-hero of the silver screen. The young man became an overnight sensation in many countries, and with his good looks quickly became a teen idol amongst his fellow youth. Even for a short time becoming a J-Pop act, to further cash into his fame.

As his fame and his value grew, it meant he and his parents were uplifted out of their lower social class into one of celebrities and their entourage. Toshiro changed accordingly, teaching himself to become more class appropriate to fit in better, and not be seen as an outsider.

For the better part of a century, “Golden Boy” was a marketing force. Big city billboards, big endorsement deals, and hit film after hit film. The sky seemed truly the limit for Toshiro, at least, until the next young star showed their face and quickly stole his thunder.

Feeling like he wanted to do more with his life, and knowing his fame was ever fleeting and still worth something, he made the shocking choice to take a break from his life as a model, actor, and singer… To become a pro hero!

Quickly ridiculed for the preposterous nature of his choice, he still proved some doubters wrong when he got his license all the same. Even afterwards people would love to question the legitimacy as to how he got his license, and whether or not ‘shady dealings’ were used between his agents and the association to get him fast-tracked for perceived PR boons.

His reputation was large enough for most agencies to… refuse him, outright even before applying in some cases. Many agencies not wanting someone as high profile as “Golden Boy” (although his hero name is Midas) in their ranks causing problems.

So instead, he devised the brilliant plan to start his own agency, The Golden Agency, with ample financial backing from his agents to turn the project into something that could profit everyone (But mostly the agents, of course). A hero agency befitting fame, one where every member would be a part of its fantastic* decision to bring reality television into heroics. Allowing everyone at home to finally see the true lives of the people protecting the world!
