When Ghouligan mentioned human trafficking ring, Arima smirked a little. This is the kind of operation he wanted to do for a long time; saving the innocent and making the evil bleed dry. Having encountered several mutant individuals who were inherently good, the idea of them being treated as products ignited a fiery anger within him as well. He had been patrolling every alley around the every and he seemed to miss this one. If he hadn't accepted the invitation, he might never have stumbled upon such valuable intel.
"Count me in as well," his words concise yet filled with determination. He just want to let them know he's committed on taking he task at hand.
The skeleton guy, Hugh refused to participate and urged the others to reconsider. However, Arima remained resolute, he already decided from the very first time he had rescued a civilian from the blades of an alley thug.

Everyone was standing silent when the man who introduced himself as Ghouligan spoke up. Arima wanted to know more about the organization so listened attentively to every word spoken. Based on what he understood, Undertow is a social group that doesn't obligate its members to do any tasks, aligning perfectly to his schedules and priorities. One by one, he looked at the faces of everyone in the room. Some looked serious, some didn't. He learned the hard way to not judge people from their facade.
Out of nowhere, everyone can hear a noise from the trashcan. When it tipped over, an individual who looks like a corpse emerged who sounds like a little kid. Having seen weirder stuffs, Arima was not shocked at all but he was interested. He realized that each and every one in the room have an ability that may be equally or much more interesting. Recognizing the potential for each person in the room to possess equally intriguing abilities, he remained attentive, eager to learn more through their introductions.
Two introduction later, people were taking but no one was doing any introductions. So he stepped forward and kept the fire burning. "My name is Arima. Maybe you haven't heard of me but some people know me as Scarlet Spider. I usually do my job alone but I realized the volume of crimes is becoming overwhelming, making solo efforts less than ideal. Not to mention, my abilities, connections, and resources are quite limited, so there are jobs I can't pull off anymore. With that, I thought it would be ideal to join a group with similar goals, to coordinate and work together effectively." Arima isn't sure if he conveyed his thoughts effectively and articulated his points well. It was his first time speaking in front of other people for a very long time so he doubts he did.

Arima didn't know the appropriate outfit for this occasion so he just picked his usual black suit when doing Vigilante stuff and paired it with a white fox mask for anonymity. As he made his way inside the building, he realized none of the other guests were hiding their identities, so he decided to remove his mask and put it at a random table he just passed by. He looked around the room, scanning every face to see any familiar faces but found none. He also checked the place to see if there was anything that indicated that the place had been set up for a trap but in the meantime, he found none. He had already memorized all the possible exits in case of high-level dangers so he thought he needed to relax at the moment. Instead of socializing with the other invitees, Arima chose to stand in a corner, waiting for someone to explain why they were summoned to this place. He crossed his arms and rested his back on the wall, not saying a word. Being a vigilante, he wants to make sure that this organization won't be associated with any villains or any kind of criminal activity. But he is open to being affiliated with one since he's been making enemies recently. Arima was born and raised in England. His mother a Japanese servant while his father was a son of the respected Lord Stark. Since his father was already engaged to a lady from a fellow noble bloodline, Arima's mother was sent back to Japan while he was sent away to Nottingham to be educated by a man named Grimsby Blackwood, a loyal retainer of his family. Arima grew up to be a smart young boy who was very polite and sophisticated when socializing with people. All his life, he thought he was Blackwood until Grimsby's jealous daughter revealed him to a basted of the Starks. From that moment, the whole world changed in Arima's eyes.
Upon learning his real heritage, Arima became distant to his foster father and to his family. All this time, he was stealing all the attention and the spotlight from the real Blackwood children. He purposely made his grades bad and skipped classes to hang out with the delinquent kids. When his foster father confronted him about it, he just says that Grimsby is not his real father but just a servant of his family. Arima ran away from their home which triggered the most painful events in his life. One night, Grimsby went out to search for him but instead he found the company of some bad people which led to his death. Arima was kicked by his foster mother and siblings. They didn't even give him a chance to attend his beloved foster father's wake.
Instead of going back to the Starks, Arima went to his mother's homeland in Yokohama, Japan. He was longing for a mother's love since his foster mother was always strict and purposely unfair towards him. When he arrived at his mother's town, he found out that she was killed a year ago by some criminals when she was on her way to work. With rage, Arima spent his days finding those men. The days turned into two years and finally, he found them. One by one, he tortured them using his string quirk, extracting information about the others involved in the incident before sending them to their deaths. When he executed all of them, he realized the pain wasn't gone. He thought he would finally feel peace but sadly, he didn't. So, he started working as a Vigilante. If he can't fulfill the feeling of closure for himself, at least he wanna do it for others.
