Eloise Delacroix was born in France at the young age of 0. As if that fate wasn't horrid enough it took a turn for the worse when she and her family went on vacation to Japan. But let's not take things out of order. When Eloise's quirk manifested she suffered from several side effects, the most significant of which were her eyes turning cloudy and robbing her of the majority of vision, her skin turning a shade of gray, and a hankering for blood manifesting alongside the sharpening of her teeth. To call the change blindness however wasn't entirely accurate, for while she lost most of her normal vision she gained something else in exchange. For while most of the world was suddenly blurry, dark and nondescript this was not the case when looking at anyone possessing a quirk factor and the effects of their quirks. Those she saw almost in full, albeit still mostly in black and white akin to thermal night vision. 

All in all Eloise's life wasn't too bad. She had loving parents that were able to support her in managing her quirk, private schooling combined with the rather terrifying features she possessed that limited the amount of bullying she faced, and a rather extravagant collection of toys on account of her family's wealth. Every few months she even got to see far off nations during weekend trips, city trips or longer vacations. The sheer variety of people she saw let her figure out several things. The first was that not all people were equally visible, some quirkers showed far brighter in her vision than others, and those without quirks were almost entirely invisible to her, simply blending into the background. The second was that this knowledge was dangerous without the proper caution and the third, well, the third came later. It was that the blood of those that glowed brighter was absolutely marvelous. As for how she learned that, well, it all began with learning the second fact.

While on vacation in Japan young Eloise spotted someone that appeared particularly interesting in her vision and thoughtlessly follow the person without care for her safety. That one thoughtless mistake would shape the rest of her life, for what she saw when she caught up was something she should not have seen. That day was the last time she ever saw her parents. The next decade was spent in a lab, held by a mysterious organization called Koi. The organization's goal was to find, investigate and research particularly potent quirks, a purpose for which Eloise was occasionally used, for tracking someone was far easier when they lit up like a beacon compared to the candlelight masses.  

It was during these 'outings' that she made her third discovery. The blood of quirkers remained lit up in her vision for quite a while after having been spilled allowing her to see far more of the world when they covered the surfaces of other objects. Bloody environments became scenes of dreams for Eloise allowing her to almost picture the world as others could see it, her imagination running rampant and imagining all manner of fancy scenes in the shapes she could see. During her years of isolation she'd imagined stories of knights saving the princess and dragons guarding hoards of riches, stories that would come to shape how she saw the world. When she misheard one of the scientists at the facility she finally found a name, nay, a title for herself.

Hemogoblin.

A small, wretched creature cast into the bowels of the earth. Rescue never came for her, she was no princess after all. But perhaps she could shape her own fate. Everyone rooted for the underdog and even a goblin could become a knight. So it was that when she finally got free of her captors nearly a decade after her capture during a simultaneous raid by a team of villains and a team of heroes Eloise fled to Tokyo and donned her armor with a simple goal. To save damsels in distress, slay dragons and safeguard the kingdom. Safeguard it from who you ask? Well, obviously anyone that tried to stand in her way was evil.
