A smile so bright it threatened to tear her cheeks crested Hemogoblin's features. Not only had her new teacher used the word quest and called them Sir Hemogoblin but she'd even accepted said quest and with impeccable manners! Oh joyous day. The journey of Eloise Delacroix had reached the next chapter at last. All the suffering in her backstory had not been for nought, with the friends she was making by her side and now a mentor to go out at a suitably dramatic moment she was nearly set to save all that was good. Now she just needed to establish strong emotional bonds. Apparently that was good for the Gnarl Raid If. Whatever that might have meant. Raiding enemy castles sounded important to beat the Demon King though so Eloise figured that being prepared for all possible raids was the way to go.

"Huzzah! Hemogoblin cheered with a fist to the sky and a hand on her hip. "It is an honor to meet you Lady Nyx of the Night." When Nyx's hand raised towards her Eloise completely misunderstood the gesture as a continuation of their greeting. Placing one hand on her chest and sweeping one leg back behind the other she lowered her head as well in a courteous half bow. Her other hand raised with the palm up inviting Nyx to place her hand on top of it. Should she do so Eloise would finish the greeting as per tradition by placing a kiss on her knuckles. Of course she'd let Nyx check her armor out either way, armor was made to be touched and survive unscathed.

"I swear my sword to thee, Grand Master. May it find all thine enemies." Right, her sword! Manipulating the blood inside of her palm to pierce through her skin she rapidly pulled on more to shape it into a magnificent sword, the very picture of the fifteenth century longsword she'd managed to get her hands on this one time. Well, this one was red and looked a bit more liquid since it was freshly made and still connected to her instead of crafted into a permanent sword but that was beside the point. It didn't matter that the sword she swore her oath on was gonna be gone a minute from now, it'd just be back in her body. Knights swore on their swords and knights swore on their blood, she just combined both for a double super special oath. That was how it worked, obviously.

But she digressed, there was a quest to be partaken. "Pffghhhh pffff fggggggg." Curses! Whistling still wasn't working.

Having flown over and past the team of Pro Heroes Eloise hung from the ceiling for a brief moment before pushing off towards the open doorway with full force. Wait a minute, that person over there, was that...

With recognition in her blind eyes Eloise hooked her nails into the vent, briefly hanging as a curled ball before a gush of blood from her back sent her flying forward, hooked limbs spinning around her like a tutu mid-pirouette as she flew past something panicky.

"Eir! You're not a prince!" Hemogoblin shouted in passing before racing away down the corridors, her gait briefly turning more wiggly when several somethings slammed into and through her. They were small though so they probably weren't anything bad. She'd be fine. She just had to keep moving. Time was ticking and she had a prince to find before Koi put her back in her room. She didn't want that. No, she was getting out of here. Today.

What was red and dumb and all over the place?

The sorry excuse of a human being that dared raise a hand to royalty, of course.

Had Hemogoblin not been blind she would have seen red the moment Mira shouted. "You court death!" And the court knight was here to deliver it. It didn't matter whether he was still alive when she arrived, Hemogoblin hit him with hands and feet at the same time, grappling, scratching and biting as they went down like a pair of cats fighting. The spiked cord stretching from her left hand connected to her right leg and another formed in her right hand that went around the assailant and to her left foot. Then they moved. Like an inverted chainsaw the paired cords made links across her torso and went round and round, blending more than cutting the assailant while Eloise scratched, bit, punched, kicked and more, each motion further adjusting how and where the spikes shred through him.

Anyone watching would never be able to look at a strawberry slushie the same way again.

By the time she was done she'd created the most morbid jigsaw puzzle imaginable, ages messed and up only. Red liquid escaped her gums, briefly covering her head before the entire thing came off like a mould leaving her face clean once more. The same process repeated itself across the rest of her body and while it was far from perfect -or hygienic- it left the knight in darkened armor pristine once more.

"My liege," Eloise began as she dropped to a knee once more in front of Mira, her head bowed and a hand on her heart. "It is not safe here. Please permit this unworthy one to escort thee to thine castle." The threat had passed for now but one had to be on guard, for the monarchy was always in danger of being attacked by crazies. Eloise had heard of many of them before. Demon Crazy, a many-headed beast that voted for which talking head would lead the attack. Tea Oh Crazy, an incomprehensible villain who deemed that there were other gods than the divine right to rule bestowed upon the king and queen. Even more such lunatics wandered the streets, stalking and probably maniacally laughing in dark towers accompanied by orbs and wizards. Hemogoblin would stand ready to face any of them and more to protect the Kingdom so that they might live happily ever after.

But that, was a story for another day.

Dopes of mime coursed through Eloise's brain like a dam of fizzy water that had burst at her liege's acknowledging headpat. A childish, tittering giggle left her mouth and her shoulders shook manically, metallic clanking and groaning being audible as the plates banged and rubbed together. "As you command." There was an electric energy in her voice, the kind that lit a spark and set your living room on fire the moment you put up all your fancy decorations and brought over a bunch of friends to your party. Her head turned in short, creaking burst before being followed by the rest of her body, a wide toothy smile on her face and her eyes wide open as she faced the opposition. The way she looked at the filth that had dared attack the princess was not like a warrior looking at their foe, no, it was like a dove honing in on a chunk of waterlogged bread in a ditch. If the way she licked her lips over her serrated teeth didn't make her intentions clear it was likely that whoever failed to realize possessed a quirk that increased their density, and not in the physical way

"Not a speck of dust, my liege," Hemogoblin swore with the kind of sincerity found only in the most devoted of zealots. Whether she was capable of executing her promise, well, that was a whole other matter. "Face the wrath of justice, lowborn miscreants!" With a shout and a cackling laugh Hemogoblin let loose, the blood that had gathered on her back swimming across her arms to coalesce into a massive greatsword in her hands. It was too big to be called a sword. Too big, too thick, too heavy, and too rough, it was more like a large hunk of iron. In Eloise's eyes it was the noblest of weapons, a sword as grand as her devotion to her newfound liege. "Have at thee!"

The bloody executioner was raised high over Hemogoblin's head, only her quirk's additional control allowing her to lift the sheer mass through the anemia she was feeling from creating it. When it came down she was no longer the only one with anemia, her vic- target's eyes widening for just a second before they both went their separate ways. The edge of the sword hit the ground with a thud and a splat, flattening partially across the ground before she pulled it back into its solid shape.

Such an all-offense no-defense approach left her fully open of course and there were chinks in her armor and gaps in her technique a plenty. Refuge in audacity did not protect one from switchblades stabbing you through the forearm. "Egads!" Hemogoblin exclaimed angrily while looking at the man that had attacked her with the kind of confusion, disbelief and disdain that could only come from one's self-delusion of supremacy. How dare a mere mook mark her skin in front of her marvelous master? Flexing her muscles to trap the blade as she pulled the blood forming her own greatsword back under her armor Hemogoblin's maw opened wide. A moment later a loud "Aaaaaaaaah." resounded, only it didn't come from her. It came from the unfortunate assailant whose shoulder was currently the target of a border conflict between the sovereignty of his body and the royal decree of munchies.

This too of course left her flank open once more but as she used her blood to push the knife out from the inside so that the new blood she was drinking could heal the wound Eloise completely forgot about this fact. Right up until she was hit with enough voltage to kickstart an automobile. A loud scream resounded at that. Once more not from her but from the man to which her twitching and shaking jaw was still attached, a mistake the meatbag battery clearly realized moments later as the charge came to an end. For his audacity Hemogoblin struck him with the divine right to rule and the long arm of the law combined. Well, she extended her right arm and used her quirk to form a long, bloody spike over it that pierced through his throat before he could do anything else. Same thing.

Ripping a chuck filet loose she spat it at one of the other people before extending a spike from her tongue to open the still screaming man's mind. Seriously, to be so opposed to the monarchy. How stupid were these people? "Alright, who's next?!" Eloise shouted cheerfully, like a receptionist that had just snuck off to the bathroom to take a hit before returning for the next shift. Eloise hoped the princess was looking at her right now. She was sure she looked dashing.

"Indeed! You may call me Hemogoblin, the knight of justice, righteousness and all that is good!" Eloise responded while pointing back at the freakish gremlin in turn. Ew. Who didn't have blood? Scrunching her nose and eyes in disgust Eloise tried to minimize how much they looked at Eir's appearance. Oh, she glowed brightly alright, just not the right bright. The right bright was the one that could bleed.

Putting her hands on her hips and puffing out her chest she closed her eyes entirely and smiled smugly at Rui. "No Koige can trap chivalry! Ohohohohohoho!" Raising one arm up while craning back further they used the back of their hand to cover their mouth, the very picture of a well-raised young lady looking down on a peasant. That was what she'd heard from descriptions of an-ie-mai at least, whatever that was. "A squire!" She nodded. "Nuh uh you can't own people anymore that's illegal if anyone knows and I know now so you have to hand her over." Ha ha eat that Eir. Her logic was irrefutable! That's what a commoner got for messing with a brilliant shining knight of justice that raised hell upon evil and protected the weak. Everyone knew those didn't lose unless it was that one annoying guard that Eloise ate narrating the story wrong just to get to her.

Seriously, how dare he imply a real prince would lose to a mongrel that literally had robbery in their name? There was no way Robin Hood would actually win!

"I don't see it," Eloise explained, speaking very slowly as if explaining something to a child. A particularly dull child. "There's not even any blood on your 'air sword'. What heroes? Air heroes? Haha you're fighting air heroes. Air heroes air heroes air heroes!" Eloise made sure to lean forward and point repeatedly to emphasize her point. Manipulating her armor so that the palm of her hand was exposed she raised her hand to her mouth again right after. "You want to see a real sword? This is a real sword! Hawkshghawkglurgle!" Biting and tearing Eloise tore her palm open with her teeth to free up some blood. Not a moment later she began to shape it. It was red as the sea -probably, that was what was written in the Odyssey which didn't have knights but did have a king so it was an okay bedtime story- and had the appearance of the sword of a true knight, not like that thing Rui was holding that Eloise still wasn't convinced wasn't just her forming a hole with her fingers to pretend she was holding a sword.

"So, ready to admit defeat? If you confess to your wrongs I will forgive you. This knight is a righteous one after all! Go on, confess!"

Walking was fun. You wouldn't believe how much fun the constant motion of one foot, the other and then the first again was in places you've never seen before. Well, in a way she hadn't seen most places but that wasn't the point. Eloise whistled silently as she wandered. It wasn't meant to be silent but whistling was difficult, especially with teeth like hers. Maybe she could find someone else with sharp teeth that could teach her how to whistle. Every knight needed a mentor to teach them important skills and then die so the evil wizard looked stronger before the knight eventually beat them.

"Hi, what do your teeth look like?" Eloise eventually asked Nyx once she ran into her. She'd asked eleven people so far today and the answers she'd gotten were a mix between 'normal' and 'incoherent screaming', neither of which were very helpful for her training. Well, it did teach her that she needed to hone her senses. She'd chased the screaming ones for quite a while, escorting them to safety while keeping an eye out for the source of their distress but the mysterious monster haunting them had yet remained unnoticed. She'd find them one day but for now she was satisfied with knowing that the innocent had found shelter amongst the safety of the masses. This person she was hopeful about however. Her ears had a different shape from the others she'd asked so maybe her teeth would too. Eloise couldn't wait to find out.
