Walking was fun. You wouldn't believe how much fun the constant motion of one foot, the other and then the first again was in places you've never seen before. Well, in a way she hadn't seen most places but that wasn't the point. Eloise whistled silently as she wandered. It wasn't meant to be silent but whistling was difficult, especially with teeth like hers. Maybe she could find someone else with sharp teeth that could teach her how to whistle. Every knight needed a mentor to teach them important skills and then die so the evil wizard looked stronger before the knight eventually beat them.

"Hi, what do your teeth look like?" Eloise eventually asked Nyx once she ran into her. She'd asked eleven people so far today and the answers she'd gotten were a mix between 'normal' and 'incoherent screaming', neither of which were very helpful for her training. Well, it did teach her that she needed to hone her senses. She'd chased the screaming ones for quite a while, escorting them to safety while keeping an eye out for the source of their distress but the mysterious monster haunting them had yet remained unnoticed. She'd find them one day but for now she was satisfied with knowing that the innocent had found shelter amongst the safety of the masses. This person she was hopeful about however. Her ears had a different shape from the others she'd asked so maybe her teeth would too. Eloise couldn't wait to find out.

Nyx stood leaning against a wall near the entrance to a nearby alley, her blue-grey gaze flicking over the passing people in boredom as she killed time. Thanks to a deal with her sponsor, she had made an effort to be 'good' today, instead choosing to use the day to dress up and get some air rather than her usual antics. As much as she enjoyed her games, she knew a proper Villain could show restraint, and so she would too.

Today she had dressed up in a thigh-length black lace dress and gone out to see the normies and find some less-violent ways to amuse herself. With her luscious mane held back by a black ribbon and a touch of make-up, she drew the gazes of quite a few normies that walked by and a few she winked at for fun. However, the scar across her eye that she hadn't bothered to cover kept most of them from approaching, rightfully assuming there might be dangerous surprise involved. Smart lil normies~

However as a voice broke into her thoughts she turned toward it to find herself the one surprised. The other woman wasn't what she would call a normie, but rather a fellow mutant she might expect to run into in a dark alley. Still, the other woman was rather pretty and Nyx grinned in response to her question, showing teeth perhaps not as jagged as hers but still closer to a wolf's rather than a human's.
"What kind ya looking for~?"

"Sharp ones," Eloise responded with a grin that mirrored Nyx's own. Her gaze went to the white-haired -not that she saw that- woman's mouth. Yup. Those looked sharp. "Can you teach me how to whistle? I need to know how to whistle. How else was she going to roguishly catch someone's attention before chivalrously slaying them once they were looking at her. If she messed up her whistle she'd end up stabbing them in the back! That wouldn't be very knightly of her.

"I shall repay thee of course, should thy be bold enough to take on this quest." Eloise added with a confident nod. It was always best to be filial to mentors and listen to them as much as possible to repay them before their inevitable grisly end. Eloise would be owed the woman as much if she accepted. "Be it swords, armor or anything knightly I could do whatever you may need. Be it slaying dragons or even felling rebellious revolutions." She hoped it wouldn't be doing the dishes though. That was incredibly difficult when your sole method of seeing something was covering it in blood. It was a lesson paid in blood and shattered ceramic alike.

Nyx giggled at the funny way the woman spoke, it reminded her of the old story books her mother had read to her when she was young. Koontz had always loved the dragons more, but Nyx loved the knights the most. Dragons were cool, but imagine a charming knight strong enough to slash off the head of such a beast? If not for those stories, she likely wouldn't have understood the odd speech, and probably have struggled to understand the girl standing before her. Who knew fairytales could come in handy?

"I'd love to accept your quest, dear Knight~" As if to match the energy of the other girl, Nyx smiled and gave a surprisingly graceful curtsy in her dress. Although a villain by blood, her mother had been sure to school her in the proper etiquette for a lady. She was sure ladies weren't the ones teaching or doing quests in the stories, but she was also sure the knights in the stories had all been men, so it likely didn't matter.

Although she wasn't sure yet how to explain something as natural to her as whistling, the mention of swords caught her attention and drew her in. Her father had used proper weapons as a villain, but she had never been able to get her hands on her own. The idea of swords brought a spark to her eyes, fueling her ambition to complete this sudden side-quest.

"Lovely to meet you, Sir Hemogoblin," Nyx grinned and looked the other woman over, amused by the way she seemed so out of place in the city. "I am Nyx, lady of the night~" She dipped her head politely as she introduced herself and approached casually, her hand lifting to try and gently caress the armor covering the girl's shoulder as if in awe. It was her first time seeing such a thing as a suit of armor, in person anyway. Pictures didn't do it justice. These days combat suits seemed more common, but she rather liked the tough look of the metal armor. It was a pity more didn't wear them.
"Let's see where we need to start first! Try to whistle for me~"

A smile so bright it threatened to tear her cheeks crested Hemogoblin's features. Not only had her new teacher used the word quest and called them Sir Hemogoblin but she'd even accepted said quest and with impeccable manners! Oh joyous day. The journey of Eloise Delacroix had reached the next chapter at last. All the suffering in her backstory had not been for nought, with the friends she was making by her side and now a mentor to go out at a suitably dramatic moment she was nearly set to save all that was good. Now she just needed to establish strong emotional bonds. Apparently that was good for the Gnarl Raid If. Whatever that might have meant. Raiding enemy castles sounded important to beat the Demon King though so Eloise figured that being prepared for all possible raids was the way to go.

"Huzzah! Hemogoblin cheered with a fist to the sky and a hand on her hip. "It is an honor to meet you Lady Nyx of the Night." When Nyx's hand raised towards her Eloise completely misunderstood the gesture as a continuation of their greeting. Placing one hand on her chest and sweeping one leg back behind the other she lowered her head as well in a courteous half bow. Her other hand raised with the palm up inviting Nyx to place her hand on top of it. Should she do so Eloise would finish the greeting as per tradition by placing a kiss on her knuckles. Of course she'd let Nyx check her armor out either way, armor was made to be touched and survive unscathed.

"I swear my sword to thee, Grand Master. May it find all thine enemies." Right, her sword! Manipulating the blood inside of her palm to pierce through her skin she rapidly pulled on more to shape it into a magnificent sword, the very picture of the fifteenth century longsword she'd managed to get her hands on this one time. Well, this one was red and looked a bit more liquid since it was freshly made and still connected to her instead of crafted into a permanent sword but that was beside the point. It didn't matter that the sword she swore her oath on was gonna be gone a minute from now, it'd just be back in her body. Knights swore on their swords and knights swore on their blood, she just combined both for a double super special oath. That was how it worked, obviously.

But she digressed, there was a quest to be partaken. "Pffghhhh pffff fggggggg." Curses! Whistling still wasn't working.
