"Ow." The side of the fire escape had a railing and even worse it was just high enough to hit her hip when she tried to walk forward. Curses. Safety for the kingdom's people was good but it could do with a softer exterior. Such thoughtless construction did not bode well for the righteousness of the rulers. Eloise would need to find them and clear things up face to face, for even evil should get one chance to right their wrongs before facing justice at her hands.

Giggling to herself as she imagined all the world's wrongs being righted one slain monster at a time Eloise let blood seep out from under her fingernails to wrap around the railing. Keeping it connected as she hopped over it the bloody cord slowly elongated until her feet finally touched the ground. It was almost like she was floating in space when she did that, only her, her power and the vast dark expanse around her. Naught but fuzzy lights illuminated the distance, stars of the sky and stars of the land. Streetlamps they were called and there were so many of them. It was such a waste. The sky already had little lights, they didn't need to put those on poles. Unless they were candles, candles were nice. Warm, fuzzy, tasted great on an empty stomach. Apparently bees made them.

The shape of the armor on her feet altered until the bottom was bare and with a laugh Eloise hopped from puddle to puddle heading deeper and deeper into the grimy side streets of Tokyo. When she turned around and saw some visible spots on the ground she leaned up against the wall and lifted her foot up. Yup, glass shards. Quickly picking those out she closed her footwear back up and continued walking normally. Hmm? What was that she heard?

"Gasp. Eir!" Hemogoblin said loudly upon spotting Rui. A familiar face! Well, familiar glow. That was rare, she hadn't seen anyone else she recognized ever since she got out. That was probably because she was blind. Wait, hold on. Eir wasn't alone, was that...? "No fair! You got a squire? You don't even have blood! How can you get a squire before me?! That's cheating you're cheating, I bet you don't even have a sword!" Eloise angrily ranted while pointing at the horned devil. Seriously, the audacity. At least get blood before stepping on the path to knighthood. What else were you supposed to spill for your king?

''And then I said, you should go back to blind school and get your eyes checked, dumbass!'' Rui giggled to herself as she recounted to Amy how she totally owned Mira during their latest verbal spat. ''Your penchant for insults is admirable, Rui-sama.'' Amy smiled with a bit of a tired look on her face, clearly just praising Rui because she knew the little devil loved to be praised, even for the smallest things. That and a happy Rui who received praise was less likely to do stupid things that put both of their lives at risk.

''Air?'' She blinked her eyes and turned to face Hemogoblin. Oh, Eir... WAIT WHAT-

''Helios?'' Rui's eyes widened in surprise as she pointed a finger at the vampire. ''How are you here? You were on that island, did those guys at Koi let you go?'' She asked as if Koi hadn't been attacked and was still recovering from the lab raid. ''A squire?'' She turned to look up at Amy, before getting in front of her tired chauffeur. ''Hey, Amy Bestie is mine!'' She protested, remembering how Mira was trying to steal Amy from her not too long ago. ''I'm not cheating, I'm just better than you! A-And I do have a sword! A really sharp one that has killed ten thousand heroes!'' She reached into her hoodie pocket and pulled out a knife. ''Check this out! My sword the Murderizer!'' She brandished her ordinary knife with a sense of superiority and arrogance that could only belong to Rui Matsui, or Project Eir as the other Koi subjects knew her.

Amy just looked at Hemogoblin with a look of distant disassociation before taking a seat against the nearest wall. ''Just let me know when you're done playing, Rui.''

"Indeed! You may call me Hemogoblin, the knight of justice, righteousness and all that is good!" Eloise responded while pointing back at the freakish gremlin in turn. Ew. Who didn't have blood? Scrunching her nose and eyes in disgust Eloise tried to minimize how much they looked at Eir's appearance. Oh, she glowed brightly alright, just not the right bright. The right bright was the one that could bleed.

Putting her hands on her hips and puffing out her chest she closed her eyes entirely and smiled smugly at Rui. "No Koige can trap chivalry! Ohohohohohoho!" Raising one arm up while craning back further they used the back of their hand to cover their mouth, the very picture of a well-raised young lady looking down on a peasant. That was what she'd heard from descriptions of an-ie-mai at least, whatever that was. "A squire!" She nodded. "Nuh uh you can't own people anymore that's illegal if anyone knows and I know now so you have to hand her over." Ha ha eat that Eir. Her logic was irrefutable! That's what a commoner got for messing with a brilliant shining knight of justice that raised hell upon evil and protected the weak. Everyone knew those didn't lose unless it was that one annoying guard that Eloise ate narrating the story wrong just to get to her.

Seriously, how dare he imply a real prince would lose to a mongrel that literally had robbery in their name? There was no way Robin Hood would actually win!

"I don't see it," Eloise explained, speaking very slowly as if explaining something to a child. A particularly dull child. "There's not even any blood on your 'air sword'. What heroes? Air heroes? Haha you're fighting air heroes. Air heroes air heroes air heroes!" Eloise made sure to lean forward and point repeatedly to emphasize her point. Manipulating her armor so that the palm of her hand was exposed she raised her hand to her mouth again right after. "You want to see a real sword? This is a real sword! Hawkshghawkglurgle!" Biting and tearing Eloise tore her palm open with her teeth to free up some blood. Not a moment later she began to shape it. It was red as the sea -probably, that was what was written in the Odyssey which didn't have knights but did have a king so it was an okay bedtime story- and had the appearance of the sword of a true knight, not like that thing Rui was holding that Eloise still wasn't convinced wasn't just her forming a hole with her fingers to pretend she was holding a sword.

"So, ready to admit defeat? If you confess to your wrongs I will forgive you. This knight is a righteous one after all! Go on, confess!"

She furrowed her brow at her fellow Project as she introduced herself properly. ''Heliosgoblin...'' She repeated back, holding her knife up and tensing her body as if she was ready to stab at a moment's notice, like a wild animal preparing for a fight. ''Amy is mine! Find your own minion!''

''Since when have I been demoted to-''

''And I commit crimes because I wanna! I'm Rui, I kill people!'' She retorted, shouting over Amy. Eloise was very effective at taunting her, to the point that she was practically seething by the time she was pointing at her and mocking her for fighting air heroes. ''I fight real heroes!'' She stomped her foot, just about ready to take her first swipe at this little shit. ''You... You don't know them because I murderized them so you can't talk to them!''

She took a step back when Eloise... Bit into her own hand? ''Bleeder!'' She pointed a finger at her. ''You're weird! Swords are made of metal, not blood!'' She twirled her knife around. It was a cool ability, but since when had she been scared of bleeders? ''Yeah, I'm ready to confess. That you're a dumb knight of stupid blood, and I'm gonna kill you dead!'' She hissed as she suddenly charged forward, knife raised as she would try to stab Eloise in the face.

Meanwhile Amy was completely unphased and typed in a phone number on her phone, waiting for a moment before someone finally picked up.

''Yeah, can I get three number 5's? Yeah and three sodas, that would be great.'' She stood up and walked to the nearest street sign and said it out loud before hanging up.

"It's Hemogoblin not Heliosgoblin, your ears are as bad as your face looks!" The blind girl shouted. "Nuh uh Aimer is my minio- squire!" Gosh, was this what not having blood did? With nothing to go to Rui's hollow head it was no surprise she didn't even get that much. Good knights got squires, evil devils didn't! They just had dumb things like minio- No! Aimer wasn't a minion she was a squire, Rui was wrong not her! Someone named Love couldn't be evil!

"Nuh uh again you can't kill people only knights can do that because they're always in the right and you're not a knight, stooooopid!" She made sure to stretch the last word out as she spoke, leaning forward with her hands on her hips and pursing her lips as she did. Rui's next words briefly made her flinch and recoil, that wasn't true at all! People that had been murderized could totally be talked to! Some of Eloise's best friends were murderized and they made for great listeners, not like all those stupid people with the clickety pens that scratched scratched scratched on their flimsy, worthless clipboards and kept interrupting her whenever she was explaining something. The blood in her mouth tasted a little more sour that usual. Egads! This was just like that time they'd changed her diet for a month until she fell over and had to stay laying down for a week after.

"No you're weird!" Eloise eloquently retorted taking the win in their conflict. Obviously. "Metal is made of blood, stoooooopid. Have you never heard of ore veins? Haha, you haven't! Haha! Dum-dum!" There was nothing Rui could possibly say in response to that. She was so dumb that she not only didn't have a brain but even part of her face was trying to run away from the rest of her head. Everyone knew she didn't have horns and that Eir was just that dumb. "Wha-"

In response to Rui's attack Eloise did something that no one could argue didn't make her the bigger person: she turned the other cheek. Well, there were a few steps in between but that wasn't the point. The first one was her eyes going wide as the unpredictable gremlin suddenly stabbed her. The second was a hissed shout as it went in through one cheek, pierced her gums and only stopped going in further when she clamped down on it with her teeth. "You stahbed me! I ckan't behlieve yhou'hve dhone dhis." She could of course, this was hardly the first time Project Eir stabbed her the moment she got her hands on something sharp or the moment she'd broken something blunt enough that it'd be sharp. But where was she? Ah yes, the third step. Clenching her jaw so hard that the knife partially dislodged a tooth Hemogoblin took the knife like a dog took a bone and frantically shook her head back and forth, not only trying to get Rui to lose her grip on the knife but also turning the other cheek time and time again. She was just that nice of a person, not like the doodoohead that kept arguing with her.

"See," Eloise said with tears pooling in her eyes after she'd either managed to steal the knife or at least trap it enough that Rui couldn't pull it free again. "Th- sniff thaht didnaht even hurt. It's naht a leal slord. My slord is much bettel!" With a loud, drawn out sniffle to make sure her nose wouldn't begin to leak Eloise drew back her own sword and tried to cut off Rui's arm with a wide swing. "I'll plove it!" Regardless of whether it succeeded or not Eloise would try to pull Rui's knife out of her cheek, struggling as well with how lodged in there it was, before letting it either clatter to the ground or taking a step back so Rui didn't immediately stab her with the freed knife again. "I cahn even make a sword good enough that someone like you could use it, hmph, that kitchen knife of yours isn't a real sword, dummy, stupid..." Eloise sniffled again. It wasn't from the pain, not exactly. Eloise had felt plenty of pain. No, having the knife in there like that brought back bad memories not to mention that even with it removed now she still felt like she had it stuck there, like a popcorn kernel you couldn't find no matter how much you looked but kept feeling nevertheless. Mhm, popcorn. Her stomach growled. She needed to get some food soon.
