The Gorgon WatchesFor all that Hebiru’s analytical nature allowed her to parse and solve most conundrums she as of yet had no idea why she agreed to allow Yoko to come along. By no metric of the word was involving a first year student in this logical, much less one related to herself. It made no sense. Yet her memory told her the same thing every time she recalled it. She’d agreed without even questioning Yoko’s motives. Casting a glance to her colleague and partner for this mission Hebiru couldn’t help but wonder what Recall thought of the decision. She put the thought aside for now and focused on the waters around them. Thinking such matters through would have to wait until later. If any of them dropped their guard it could end badly for all of them. The waters around Tokyo hid horrors beyond count. That the events of the past few months had proven beyond all doubts.
"Recall. Do you believe this facility to hold any connection to the creators of W.3.N.D.I.Y?" Hebiru asked, half to gain additional relevant information and half to ensure the quiet wasn’t getting to anyone. To ensure they would not be detected before reaching the hidden supply bay Iphigenia had estimated the location of, their speed was slow and they’d been in this boat for over an hour. Were they to be discovered early their search might quite literally be dead in the water.
In truth Hebiru herself would likely have chosen a different approach had she believed it viable. Unfortunately the potential gains from this raid were too valuable to risk. If this theoretical research base truly existed, something Hebiru did not doubt, the contents may prove to be a crucial to solving her longstanding problem. Hebiru had tasted what it was like to have one’s emotions be unhindered during the calamitous events of Dream World and it had not made going back to normal any more pleasant. Quite the contrary. Many of the defenses she’d carefully built up over the years had been stripped from her in those days, making the wait for progress ever harder to bear.
A grim thought began to form in her mind. Perhaps that had been why she’d accepted Yoko’s request without question. In that instant, had she prioritized her own desires over the safety of her sister? Hebiru’s eyes narrowed as she tried to spot any irregularities in the side of the island they were slowly approaching. If that had truly been the reason it was one more secret she could never let anyone find out. She wondered whether Recall already knew. Hebiru wouldn’t put it past her. Few things escaped Iphigenia’s gaze.
If anything it was a consolation that if they were intercepted before reaching the isle Yoko and Iphigenia stood a good chance of survival. The former’s quirk was well suited to swimming to safety and the latter would be able to think her way out of the situation. It was only her own quirk that was ill-suited to surviving at sea, the lack of physical strength making swimming a near impossibility. An old classmate many years ago had once described her swimming style as ‘brick stroke’. How odd. Hebiru rarely reminisced on the past. She hoped that was not an omen of things to come.
As they finally reached the isle and silently sailed into an opening in the mountainside the feeling only intensified. The stillness within almost felt like an omen. Nought but empty crates laid within, awaiting pick up on the next supply run to come through. Depending on their actions today, it may never come.

Something in her gut told her these weren't isolated incidents and the probability she calculated given the proximity to each other time wise nearly confirmed this theory. She had been in the field as a Pro Hero for nearly a decade now, and she had never seen such a frequency of large scale attacks. They were all too coordinated. [break][break] Thankfully Hebiru was coming to a similar conclusion and when she discussed a potential investigation Iphi was already preparing for one. Luckily for Sadako, who was on the hook for support, there wasn't nearly as much room for more than 3 people. In a twist, it was Hebiru's younger sister, Yoko, who asked to fill the last spot. For what purpose, she was unsure, but fostering the growth of a new generation was ultimately part of her duties, and Iphi had no reason not to oblige. The Yanai sisters didn't exactly get along which was not foreign to Iphi when she considered her little sister Aella and how she spoke to her, but Hebiru seemed nonplussed. [break][break] Iphi wasn't silent because she didn't have anything more to say, and she was planning for nearly every event that could possibly happen to the three of them. If her automaton wasn't still in the beta stages, she would have brought it along, giving them much more flexibility. "I believe she prefers Wendy." She would correct Hebiru as it was important to treat people, artificial or otherwise, as human. "Truth be told, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the research Wendy's parents and the other scientists created didn't end up here." Her eyes would drift to Yoko, wanting to make sure she had a chance to speak up if she wanted to. "You've become good friends with Wendy, haven't you, Yoko? Why the hell had she even come along to this thing? She should be back in her dorm sleeping, not going out to an island to look for evidence, but then again... What Bakuretsu said stuck with her more than she liked. Was her sister really up to secret unethical shit? She didn't want her to be, she didn't come out here hoping she was, but rather the opposite. Still, she couldn't let go of the thought and so here she was, a woefully inexperienced first year student alongside two UA legends. One a shitty nurse and shitty sister and the other some kind of cold genius. She couldn't read either of them very well which pissed her off. She should have brought Michael or Khepri along at least. With her gunbrella tied to her back, Yoko let the armored umbrella rest on her shoulder so she was able to hit someone with it, or pull up a shield at a moment's notice. W.3.N.D.I.Y? She looked over at Hebiru as she asked Iphigenia about a name that sounded weird, probably the name of some kind of invention? She tried not to show it, but when Iphigenia mentioned Wendy in relation to that weird name it sent a chill down her spine. Did she mean... Wendy, Wendy? Like, the weird Wendy that her and Michael found? Didn't she say she was from a tank? Wait, was she like, artificial or something? Was that why she didn't have so much basic knowledge? ''It's just an island, right? What's the big idea? Aren't you both pros?'' Even if villains or something came at them, Iphi and Hebiru were trained professionals and could probably kick their asses or something. She was no pro herself, but she had been learning a couple of tricks too since her match with Mai and supermove class with Stellar. She started tapping her foot impatiently as she stared at the waves. She wanted to ask about Wendy, but at the same time should she even know all this? What a pain in the ass. ''Huh?'' She blinked her eyes and looked over at Iphigenia. ''I guess I have, she knows how to use doors now, and as far as I know she probably likes ramen.'' She shrugged casually, caught a little off-guard by Iphi's observation. They weren't exactly hiding any of this stuff from her. ''Is Wendy...'' She started up, looking at the both of them. ''Is Wendy like, a person?''And more importantly, why did they know about Wendy's origin? Were they involved too? Was Hebiru really up to something sinister and just using her role as a UA nurse as a cover? Depending on the actions she took today, she might apprehend a secret villain. The Gorgon Watches"Is that so? My apologies for the discourtesy," Hebiru replied to Iphigenia's words. A blunder, and not the only one she'd made since Dream World. In between dealing with the results of that, her own instability and the piling workload she'd had less time than normal to devote to keeping up with various matters. Her knowledge of Wendy thus far was purely professional and the psychological side had slipped through the cracks entirely.
It took a moment for Hebiru to ponder how to answer Yoko's question, what she should share and what should remain confidential. Her judgement was far from perfect recently and oversharing was as much of a risk as under-informing.
"Overconfidence can be lethal. Keep your guard up until we are back in Tokyo, Oniki." Hebiru cautioned, specifically using Yoko's hero name to drive the point home. While she considered how to phrase the rest of her response Iphi smoothly took over. It surprised Hebiru to hear that Yoko had made contact with W.E.N- Wendy already. Holding her tongue she paid close attention to the conversation, another moment of consideration passing before she asked a question herself.
"Do you believe her to be a person?"
Had she possessed a normal physique there was a chance that she might have leaned forward in anticipation of Yoko's answer, the question having more importance than either of them realized. Letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding once her sister had answered -an act that remained entirely invisible due to her lack of centralized lungs- Hebiru continued.
"The reason I asked is because today's target is a hidden laboratory. One that may have connections to quirk research, bio-engineering or worst case scenario The Elementalist himself. What this means is that we may run into a mix of legitimate and illegitimate research that needs to be stopped and confiscated."
She left it unspoken for now that it was not entirely impossible the lab might contain less than complete artificial humans. Hebiru had no idea whether it would and would rather not risk having it skew Yoko's perspective if it turned out to be a false alarm. There were myriad reasons to create facilities away from prying eyes after all. Perhaps their caution was overblown.
It wasn't long after that they reached the entrance Iphigenia had been able to suss out, a squeaky clean supply bay that seemed both too pristine to be abandoned yet simultaneously too empty to be in use. An explosion in the distance brought her out of her contemplations. Had they been detected upon entry? They may need to hurry if so.
"Oniki. Should the forces arrayed against us be too dangerous to face I need you to flee instantly and call for aid. Swim as far as you can and return with assistance. Our lives may depend on your success."
A lie, of course. If circumstances escalated to the point that Recall and The Gorgon combined could not keep the situation under control it was unlikely they'd be able to survive long enough for reinforcements to arrive. It was their duty however to ensure the safety of the next generation. Yoko's survival was crucial.
Once they left the boat behind and passed through the supply bay to head into the facility proper they almost immediately ran into a squad of armed guards crossing a corner. The black-clad combatants raised their rifles and opened fire with stun rounds the second they entered line of sight.
"Recall."
Hebiru need not clarify. She knew Iphigenia would understand exactly what she meant. Manifesting several pointed appendages from her lower back she made a set of arm movements to have them strike out, curving them heavily so that they were nearly touching the walls while they headed towards the enemy.

" Wendy is indeed a human. She just wasn't created naturally." Yoko was old enough to understand what she meant, and with Hebiru as a sister, she was almost certain that she learned about that fairly early, perhaps even earlier than your average kid. "She was grown in a lab. She might be biologically 20, but chronologically, she is only a little over a year old." Hopefully, that didn't apply to her when it came to growth but her lack of knowledge of the outside world was something Iphi only tangentally knew about. [break][break] "She's right. Statistically when we're sent out on an expedition or mission there's an approximate 74.56% chance that it won't- Well lets just say there's a reason you'll need to get a proper license one day." Not wanting to overexplain things in such a technical manner she also didn't want to insult Yoko's intelligence. If anything she was likely gifted like her sister but had different priorities not so disimilar to her own but that was besides the point. [break][break] As they reached the island in question Iphi would let Hebiru converse more with her sister as she gathered up some of the gear from her field kit. She'd prime her own "handgun" and slip on her shield and position herself next to Yoko. Hebiru would be the frontliner which meant Iphi was the support/defender. If only they had someone like Lucille or Stellar to scout out ahead but those two were also busy living their own lives and frankly Iphi doubted they would be interested and Jun was still technically under house arrest so she wasn't an option either. [break][break] The armed guards made her next step clear. She didn't even have to hear Hebiru finish calling her name before she responded it a "On it." and she took a step in front of Yoko and raised her shield, the projectiles bouncing off as she waved her hand to extend it to make sure their weren't any gaps she'd turn back to Yoko "Are you injured?"[break][break] [attr="class","boxo-notes"]ADD YOUR SHORT NOTES HERE [newclass=".skep-holder"]width:500px;margin:0 auto;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-shape"]-webkit-clip-path:polygon(100% 0,100% 58%,38% 100%,0 79%,0 0);clip-path:polygon(100% 0,100% 58%,38% 100%,0 79%,0 0);background:#5d1a5e;height:280px;width:220px;position: absolute;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-tiny"]-webkit-clip-path:polygon(0 0,0% 100%,100% 100%);clip-path:polygon(0 0,0% 100%,100% 100%);width:10px;height:6px;position:absolute;background:#4c3736;margin-left:220px;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-tag"]-webkit-clip-path:polygon(21% 0,100% 0,100% 100%,0 100%);clip-path:polygon(21% 0,100% 0,100% 100%,0 100%);width:180px;height:30px;position:absolute; margin-top: 226px;margin-left:320px;background:#5d1a5e;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-tag a"]color:#fff!important;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-img img"]margin-top: 5px;margin-left:50px;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-content"]padding:90px 50px 30px 50px;font-size:10px;line-height:14px;font-family:roboto;line-height:16px;background:#fefefe;margin-top:-60px;border-bottom:solid 1px #eee;border-right:solid 1px #eee;border-left:solid 1px #eee;color:#555;text-align:justify;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-shape-cont"]position:absolute;color:#fefefe; margin-top: 60px;margin-left:20px;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-content b"]color:#5d1a5e;font-size:9px; [/newclass] [newclass=".lyr1"]font-family:arial black;font-size:15px;letter-spacing:-1px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass] [newclass=".lyr2"]font-family:arial black;font-size:40px;margin-top:-20px;letter-spacing:-5px;color:#f5f5f5;[/newclass] [newclass=".lyr3"]font-family:arial black;font-size:90px;opacity:0.3;position:absolute;margin-top:-90px;margin-left:140px;letter-spacing:-5px;[/newclass] [newclass=".lyr4"]font-family:arial;font-size:10px;text-transform:uppercase;letter-spacing:3px;margin-top:-5px;margin-left:20px;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-tago"]color:#fff;margin-left:50px;margin-top:10px;font-size:8px;text-transform:uppercase;font-family:arial;[/newclass] [newclass=".skep-tago a"]color:#fff;font-size:8px;text-transform:uppercase;font-family:arial;[/newclass] [newclass=".lyr5"]font-family:arial black;font-size:70px;margin-top:-20px;opacity:0.3;position:absolute;margin-top:-30px;margin-left:-12px;letter-spacing:-5px;[/newclass] [newclass=".lyr6"]font-family:arial black;font-size:25px;letter-spacing:-1px;margin-left:25px;text-transform:uppercase;[/newclass] [newclass=.ray-img img]shape-outside:circle(45%)!important;[/newclass] [newclass=".boxo-notes"]font-family:arial narrow; background:#5d1a5e; color:#777; text-align:center; text-transform:uppercase; height:60px; line-height:60px; font-size:8px; color:#fff; border:solid 1px #ddd; [/newclass]

The discomfort she was feeling being on this boat was sickening. The way Hebiru and Iphigenia spoke about this whole operation, it was slowly dawning on her that this was the real thing and she hated the vibe of it. Hebiru's question made her hesitate. Was Wendy a person? She had to be, right? ''Well-...'' She hesitated, not knowing how to phrase her answer. ''Yeah, I do. She's my friend, anyone that says otherwise about her I'll kick their ass.'' She exhaled quietly, trying her best to calm her nerves. Shit, if only she could smoke a cigarette right now. ''S-Sure... But that won't happen.'' She crossed her arms and looked to the side. She didn't even want to think about that, things going south so fast that lives would depend on her. These two were pros, they had basically done something like this hundreds of times right? So why would things go wrong this time. She clutched her umbrella and took a deep breath as she took another step forward, heading deeper into the island to hopefully uncover whatever messed up stuff Hebiru had been involved with all along. When the guards of the facility came into view she thought she would be fast enough to deploy her umbrella shield, but she froze, the thought of bullets sinking into her body hitting her before the trigger was pulled. By the time Iphi asked if she was okay she was sweating intensely, but doing her best to hide how nervous she was. Were those rounds even lethal? Did it matter? ''Yeah I...'' She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Fuck, why had she come along on this trip? ''I'm fine. Are we retaliating?'' She looked at Hebiru's quirk as it manifested, that creepy power she rarely got to see in action. ''I can fight too.'' She raised her umbrella, keeping it in club mode for now in case she needed to clobber any idiots that came their way. She might not have a license, but she could still assist. Maybe it would help with her nerves too. Iphigenia Pavlina, Yanai Hebiru

The Gorgon WatchesHad Hebiru had shoulder muscles to tense they would have visibly relaxed at Yoko’s answer but as it was her incredibly muted emotional reaction remained hidden to both herself and the two she was accompanied by. What mattered however is that it lent her the crucial clarity of mind to focus fully on the mission without being burdened by alternate worries. Given the possible contents of the facility that might just be the most important advantage she could have gained.
Offering a half nod to Iphi as acknowledgement for elaborating on her point she could only hope Yoko would do as they asked should the need arise.
---
Finger and arms moved in ever more complex patterns to precisely turn and angle The Gorgon's serpentine appendages. The sharp points struck shoulders, the inside of elbows and the back of knees to disarm and disable. It was precision at a scale she rarely got to use. Using her quirk in this way took her full focus, without her utter trust in the capabilities of Recall she wouldn't have been able to disregard defending herself entirely like this.
Unfortunately they were not the only ones with defensive capabilities. Several of their opponents carried riot shields and Hebiru would rather not risk misjudging how they were positioned behind them and accidentally hitting an artery instead of a joint. Weighing the risks she called out to Yoko, there was no need to risk a potentially lethal maneuver when there was an alternative.
"Oniki. Target the ones with shields. We will provide cover."
While she couldn't take them down Hebiru was more than capable of making sure their weapons couldn't get a bead on Yoko and were her own skills to prove insufficient she was sure Iphigenia would be able to compensate. Even so she kept a close eye on the situation. The preservation of life was crucial but if it was between one life or the other Hebiru would prioritize Yoko's over whichever assailant proved a threat without hesitation.
Once the security group was disabled it was time to continue on and before long they reached an area host to several desks with computers and equipment commonly used in chemical research. That and some other devices Hebiru preferred not to consider the function of until later. Hearing footsteps in the distance while she was pulling her scanner out of her pocket she turned to her two allies.
"This is critical evidence that we cannot risk being destroyed. Please cover me while I document it." Her aims here weren’t entirely selfless but they weren’t false either. If the information potentially found here was destroyed many of this group’s crimes might go unpunished, not to mention their potential victims unaided.

However, Iphi was not in a position to act entirely based on logic that was for Hebiru to decide. Yoko was her sister, and perhaps it was that she thought of her own relationship with Calli and compared that to this situation. "Since The Gorgon took point, it's not my decision to permit you to engage in combat." She would continue to take potshots until Hebiru did, in fact, speak up: "I stand corrected. Feel free to engage. I'll hold the shield here for protection." Fortunately, soon after the threat, he largely subsided, and they were able to move in further. [break][break] Iphi took a look at Yoko. "Are you alright? If you've been injured I can provide triage, not as well as The Gorgon but my skills should suffice." If Yoko agreed, she would patch her up, but if not, it was a matter of standing in between Hebiru and the incoming individuals. She would listen to the rhythm of the movement, and after taking a moment to analyze it, she would speak up to the rest: "I'm almost certain there are three individuals incoming. Oniki, be prepared to subdue them if they're aggressive hostiles; if allies, I'll take point and speak with them." It was still so surreal to be called Oniki in a situation like this. ''R-Right!'' She called out as her attention shifted specifically to the shield bearers. Disrupt their defensive line with some raw power? Yeah, she could do something like that. With a step forward she activated her quirk and transformed her body, bringing her umbrella around as she charged at the riot shield guards, swinging it down on them hard, letting out a furious roar in the process. People like this were doing Wendy no good. They were scum. Scum who stood in the way of good. Once the threat of imminent danger had passed she deactivated her quirk again to save energy, panting as she joined up with Hebiru and Iphi proper. ''I'm fine.'' Just as she said that she felt a jolt of pain in her shoulder where she had received a small cut. For some reason she hadn't even noticed that it was hurting, nor bleeding until the adrenaline started to drain from her body. ''Sure, but I'm not gonna slow us down either.'' She pouted, feeling self-conscious about how inexperienced and weak she was. ''Just three? If there's just three of them what's there to be worried about?'' Hadn't they just fought off way more of these crazy lab people? What was three more when Recall and The Gorgon was here? ''Whatever, I don't wanna do the talking anyway.'' She clenched her umbrella, hoping that they were going to be unexpected allies. Iphigenia Pavlina, Yanai Hebiru

The Gorgon WatchesHebiru's hands were a blur as she worked. Not a stone could be left unturned but she was more than aware that time was short. Haste made waste and so she prioritized things by order of importance. A PC full of encrypted data momentarily gave her trouble but luckily the needed passwords to gain access were on a post-it note behind the monitor. No matter how secure a facility was people were always its weakness. While she didn't have the time to wait for the files to load and read them here the access was more than enough to begin copying the data over to her storage devices.
Concern sat in the back of her head when she heard Recall's intel. The previous security team had significantly more than three members. That meant these were either elites, employees attempting to flee or more worryingly if the sounds they heard before in the distance weren't security protocols or automated data destruction, a different group of assailants. Any of those options could add chaos to an already volatile situation greatly increasing the risk they faced.
Browsing through files to judge the priority by which they should be transferred over Hebiru's hands stilled and she had to reread the same words thrice before they set in. There was someone that could remove and redistribute quirks.
Every single justification for her actions came after. The moment she saw that information she tunnel visioned hard. Surely she could trust the judgement of her allies? If they faced more than they could handle then either Recall or Oniki would have the wits to begin a retreat. She could afford to focus on this.
The mention wasn't enough, she had to find the files on whoever could do this. Copying over everything on the PC might work if they had enough time but without knowing specifically what and where it was the chances of them being able to break the encryption on everything anytime within the next decade would be small even if they succeeded. She still made sure to keep the file transfer going of course, with people like Iphigenia around there was always a chance it could be done quicker, but a more selective search was needed in the meantime.
Yes, she had to dig deeper. Searches for relevant terms and related keywords came and went but the results were either unrelated or answered with two words.
Access Denied.
A desperate frustration born by a lack of time caused her to navigate even faster, this time to look for a way to override or bypass the system. It was the kind of carelessness that came with being so close to your goal you could taste it. The moment where methodology falls away in favor of a hail mary to accomplish the task. Anyone with sufficient experience would know it rarely went well. Unfortunately such intense desperation was not something Hebiru was used to, her muted emotions making her rather inept at judging when they were finally influencing her usually logical behavior. When she found an option to disable security measures she didn't hesitate to press it before attempting to open the files she believed relevant once more.
In the distance a lock clicked open.
Access was still denied to her sending a spike of fear through Hebiru as realization set in. She hadn't undone the computer's security features. The ones she'd disabled were for the lab itself. This had gone too far, making a judgement call The Gorgon was about to call out to her allies to disengage from combat and retreat when something -or someone- came careening through a different entrance and nearly barreled into her.
Her appendages struck out in self-defense meeting several black-red limbs that seemed disturbingly similar to her own. For the second time in minutes Hebiru froze.
"Are you the being that takes quirks?" Hebiru asked unbidden and far too loud. She didn't receive an answer and her lapse of judgement meant she might never. For while she responded just in time to defend herself and fend off the creature the same could not be said for the surrounding area, including the PC that was now little more than a flattened pile of electronics.

[attr="class","LOUDWRAPPER"][attr="id","Hemogoblin"] [attr="class","LOUDHEADER"] ; ALL THE KING'S HORSES AND ALL THE KING'S MEN [break] COULDN'T PUT THIS BROKEN MESS BACK TOGETHER AGAIN [attr="class","LOUDPOSTENTRY"] Fast food was great. Eloise rarely got to enjoy it -the last time had been more than a decade ago- but chasing and biting down on the security team one by one while they tried to flee from her was wonderful. Izakaya had been crunchy and smelled of cigarettes so her first bite hadn't been too great but McDonald's blood had been surprisingly tasty. She really wanted to try more of it. Shame he died and she had places to be. A knight's quest never ended. No matter how many times people tried to put a stop to it by putting the knight in a metal box. Rushing through the facility with more blood in her than she'd ever had she nearly ran headfirst into someone with really funky insides. So funky they became outsides without her even having to cut the woman open. Vaguely Eloise registered the freaky fellow saying something as their limbs met and blood splattered all over the place where her own bloody instruments were severed but she payed it no mind. No one in here was any good and she didn't have time to waste dealing with some old crone. She had to find her prince on a white horse. After all, who else would have saved her from this place? He had to be around here somewhere, she just had to look. One too many of her bloody weapons was severed for her liking and when Hebiru's appendages struck home Eloise was sent flying, the armor she'd mustered turning the sharp strikes into more of a blunt impact. Like an inverted blender hooked limbs lashed out all around her as she tumbled over tables and through glass containers, several of her strikes heading in Recall and Oniki's directions and one more ending up in the ceiling. It was that last one that she made use of to pull her up and up all the way until her face slammed into the flat surface like a drunk getting formally introduced to the floor. Rubbing at her nose Eloise briefly curled up into a fetal position while gathering more and more blood into said limb and pushing off with full force towards the next doorway. Wait a minute, that person over there, was that... Why was Hebiru combing through this place so frantically. Scrambling to save some of her own illegal lab data? She knew it couldn't be true, that her sister was secretly doing horrible things out of the public eye, but she couldn't shake the possibility, even now. When they came face to face with the three villains, Yoko broke into a cold sweat seeing Bakuretsu there. Why was she here? She had already done exactly as Retsu wanted, they had no more business with each other now! Opening up her armored umbrella, she did her best to shield herself, Iphi and Hebiru as a hellfire of bullets and bombs rained down on them with reckless abandon. Unfortunately though, she wasn't fast enough to catch Hemogoblin. She winced as Hemogoblin's weird blood limb blender attack cut her shoulder. Not deep enough to be a serious injury, but deep enough to hurt like hell. ''I've had it with you shitheads.'' She growled, activating her quirk and transforming before charging right for Yingshe, swinging her umbrella around to attempt to clobber the other villain before she could try to disrupt them further by using whatever quirk she might possess. To hell with staying back and running in case of an emergency. She was going to stand and fight and teach these villains a lesson! Hemogoblin, Yanai Hebiru, Iphigenia Pavlina

"Gorgon, I suggest you speed this up. We'll likely need support soon." Iphi readied her shield knowing that someone trying to sneak up on them in the manner that they were combined with the previous vibrations and sound that was approximately 170-181 decibles in combination with the stealth approach was someone or multiple people trying to get the jump on them. [break][break] A click from behind her briefly drew her attention away as she reacted as fast as she could to Hemogoblin, narrowly avoiding most of the blood but getting a cut on her cheek in the process. It stung, but it wasn't something that was going to stop her. The familiar face of Bakiri Retsu prompted Iphi to put up her shield immediately, blocking the gunfire. [break][break] "Calling for backup." She'd speak into a small communicator with her spare hand, "Activate at 100% Capacity; Pinpoint my location and execute Program 184.5a." From the boat, a device would beep as it deployed Iphi's AI automaton that took off flying towards her location. Iphi had spent nearly a week straight programming scenarios within her creations database and the exact program she executed was 'Deploy as a countermeasure to draw live fire away from Iphi AND others in her care.' [break][break] From behind Retsu it would fly in, charging at her with a sweeping kick in an attempt to knock her off her feet. If allowed she would follow up in an item to disarm her, not worried about any retaliatory fire due its steel frame. It was close enough that Iphi was certain Retsu wouldn't use a grenade at that range, otherwise she risked blowing herself up in the process. The Gorgon WatchesThis had all gone to hell in a handbasket. The information here might just be essential to fix what was wrong with her physique but there would be no use for it if they were dead. It was time to go.
"Mummy?!" The appearance of another possible solution broke Hebiru's composure enough that her voice raised unbidden. It was only the slightest bit but it would be a clear tell to any who knew her. Yanai Hebiru never raised her voice. It was said that everything was better in moderation and nowhere was that saying more apt then here. Two possible opportunities to fulfill her long-held wishes and circumstances meant she'd have to let both slip her by. Hebiru nearly swiped her data storage device off the table before managing to put it back into one of her hero outfit's hidden pockets. "I assure you I-" Ah, Rui Matsui had no interest in listening to reason. That was something she should have realized before she began her attempt but recriminations could wait for later.
"Wait," she began to say towards Eloise's fleeing back, so softly she doubted anyone but herself had heard it. She knew better than this. This was no time to pursue her personal interests, to maintain her reputation the safety of her companions had to come first. The long term was what mattered. There would be other opportunities.
"Oniki. Recall. Disen-"
For a second the power seemed to go out completely. When the lights blinked back on they were no longer the clinical white shade that was typical of laboratories. They were now red, blinked on and off and were accompanied by a loud siren. It did not take a genius to know what that meant. Ignoring the wail coming from the other side of the conflict Hebiru purposefully raised the volume of her voice to be heard.
"Oniki. Recall. Disengage at once and retreat."
Heading into the fray herself The Gorgon would assist them in whatever way they needed to make their escape.
