Iphi was deep in focus, working on some case work and school assignments at the same time. She genuinely didn't mind multitasking as she found it not only to be relaxing in its own way but it paved the way for something she liked even better - solving problems. The more cases they took the more they could make a name for themselves and the more that happened, the more individuals would choose to join them.

Iphi couldn't help but feel proud at how far Jun had come. She may have lamented the fact that Jun only started this internship due to indirectly breaking the law and the resulting punishment, but she had a knack for it. Sadako's psych eval that she had shared with Iphi when they sat down and talked about Jun as a prospect for the agency cited 'A passionate individual with a strong, sometimes obtuse sense of justice', and Sagiri had weighed in that she was a bit of a stick in the mud but had good intentions from their limited interactions.

Iphi would approach Jun and gently take the coffee from her. It was pretty ironic that she would be the one to say this given her penchant for working nonstop but it was her job to guide Jun. "Let's not overdo it with the caffeine. You can't do your due diligence with a tired brain, and you're liable to make mistakes during your investigation process." Iphi couldn't speak from experience since she had a quirk that let her rest AND work at the same time. She hadn't shared it, but between learning how to lucid dream and her eidetic memory, even when she was sleeping, she would work on cases or grade schoolwork.

Once Jun got enough rest and was ready to go, Iphi began to bring them to the prison. "One more thing. You need to be able to keep your personal feelings out of this." She wouldn't share why she had this hunch that this was more important to Jun than she let on. Iphi definitely had experience in that regard, and she wouldn't let Jun make the same mistake.

A prosthetic with an internal trigger isn't as problematic if you add an external safety pin." She would point to a water bottle on her desk "As long as its capped you won't have any misfiring, the only troublesome aspect of creating a weapon of that nature is the internal combustion being attached to your body. Very rarely do firearms misfire, but in this case, having another safety in place when loading the arm will prevent any accidental detonations. Either that or it could be entirely pneumatic, although that comes with its own pros and cons."

If Iphi was arrogant and had the time she might have gone up to Retsu and tell her she told her so. Her breakdown while loud wasn't nearly as loud as the alarm that rung out, drowning out any voices from the opposing party. There were too many unknown variables, and with Aiphi having her dermis ripped off from the explosives but otherwise relatively unharmed, it was too costly to stay in a war of attrition, especially with Yoko being here. Student safety took priority, and Retsu would eventually meet her end regardless of her intervention at this point.

From the boat, a device would beep as it deployed Iphi's AI automaton that took off flying towards her location. Iphi had spent nearly a week straight programming scenarios within her creations database and the exact program she executed was 'Deploy as a countermeasure to draw live fire away from Iphi AND others in her care.'

From behind Retsu it would fly in, charging at her with a sweeping kick in an attempt to knock her off her feet. If allowed she would follow up in an item to disarm her, not worried about any retaliatory fire due its steel frame. It was close enough that Iphi was certain Retsu wouldn't use a grenade at that range, otherwise she risked blowing herself up in the process.

Something was up with Jun that was very clear. They had been working together for a bit now, ever since the house arrest situation, and Jun willingly decided to keep working at Ouros for her internship. Truth be told, Iphi was a bit surprised that she would choose to do that, especially without Kaida, but it wasn't her place to know why she just needed to support her. Support all the students she worked with, whether at school, on patrol, or during internships like this one.

Having given Jun some space to work at Ouros, she corroborated her story that there was a project, and Jun was being asked to work on it. However, since she couldn't leave her duties she instead had her robot monitor Jun while she was at Ouros, providing reports as to whether Jun was up to something illegal. From the automatons reports it looked as if Jun was just working as Iphi normally did, which she couldn't reprimand her for when she did it herself so often.

When she received the message Iphi was already on her way. Since Jun was using her agency, it would have been easy to look into what she was doing before she reached out, but the trust between her and her intern wasn't something she took for granted.

As hard as it was to hear Calli claim that she wasn't the favorite, Iphi had to hold her tongue. Digging into this wasn't exactly a great idea when they were about to start cohabitation. Plus, she genuinely didn't believe it was true as her parents weren't exactly...good with words. Before she even agreed to this she had spoken to Sadako about the best way to handle it and her advice was to 'not focus on mending anything but the rift between her and Calli'. For someone who liked to slack off, she was a certifiable genius when it came to people, not that she'd ever doubt that fact.

Stepping into the elevator and holding the door to make sure Calli got on board, she would reply, "You're an adult, are you not? You can be involved with anyone you'd like if they're not a criminal." She added that last part as she was sure Calli would jump on it if she could. "I rarely have guests. No need to worry if you hear me; I am likely just working." She smiled at her little sister as they arrived on her floor and entered the living space. It was clean and organized, which wouldn't be much of a surprise given that this wasn't the first time they had lived together.

"What we do is up to you. We can head over to campus, visit my agency, and tour the city; it's entirely up to you. I have AI.PH.II filling in for me on patrols for today."

"Honestly, Calli, I couldn't agree more, but you'd be surprised by the amount of innovation that can be done over time. The world is already so different, even from when I was a child." Iphi wasn't exactly old, but she was mainly referring to her perfect memory. Being aware of every event that's ever happened to you makes it hard not to compare the old with the new. She literally never forgot any experiences she had.

She had clearly stepped on a landmine with Calli's body language changing once she brought up their parents. She wanted to hear her sisters grievances but she didn't really know how to change things for the better, she had spoken to their parents before about this behavior and they didn't seem quite to get it. "They did? Well, that wasn't necessary, but I don't want to be ungrateful. I'll have to give them a call later." She didn't feel like it would be a good idea to share with Calli that they had called her a few hours ago and talked for about another hour.

As she pulled up to her place, she'd park the car and hit the door to unlock it for Calli before stepping out herself. "I wouldn't be surprised if you did. I've known many coworkers or students who have found their prospective partners during their tenure." She would pop the trunk and take out one of Calli's bags before pointing to the building. "This is my condo." She wasn't exactly rich, but through a collective effort to balance her own repairs and being fiscally responsible, she had a fairly decent-sized place in a nicer area of Tokyo. These multiple rooms consisted of her own bedroom, a guest bedroom, an office, and a workout space. "I have your space all set up with the essentials, but I figured you'd want to design it yourself, feel free as I own this property, so you can make any modifications that you'd like."

From an utterly tactical standpoint, their numbers increasing from 2 to 3 actively engaged in combat brought up their chances of success in their mission by a large margin. However, Iphi was not in a position to act entirely based on logic that was for Hebiru to decide. Yoko was her sister, and perhaps it was that she thought of her own relationship with Calli and compared that to this situation. "Since The Gorgon took point, it's not my decision to permit you to engage in combat." She would continue to take potshots until Hebiru did, in fact, speak up: "I stand corrected. Feel free to engage. I'll hold the shield here for protection." Fortunately, soon after the threat, he largely subsided, and they were able to move in further.

Iphi took a look at Yoko. "Are you alright? If you've been injured I can provide triage, not as well as The Gorgon but my skills should suffice." If Yoko agreed, she would patch her up, but if not, it was a matter of standing in between Hebiru and the incoming individuals. She would listen to the rhythm of the movement, and after taking a moment to analyze it, she would speak up to the rest: "I'm almost certain there are three individuals incoming. Oniki, be prepared to subdue them if they're aggressive hostiles; if allies, I'll take point and speak with them." Iphi was definitely a ask questions first type of person but in a place like this it would be naive not to expect more violence.

As she turned out to the expressway, she smiled and swapped over to speaking Greek; rarely did she get the opportunity to do so freely. Sure, she used it in her work from time to time when translating in work but it was rare to run into anyone fluent out here. Having her sister here felt like the best of both worlds. "I didn't think it would be which is why I came prepared. I've taken plenty of flights internationally, and the outbound flights from Japan have always been better when it came to food. Say what you will about our home but experiencing greek food on a plane is not ideal."

She then needed to ask a question that she knew Calli wouldn't be a fan of: "How were Mom and Dad? Did they see you off?" Their parents were kind people, but it would be ignorant of her to say they didn't hold some of the same expectations of Iphi when it came to Calli. She didn't agree with it but hoped that time apart might ease the tensions when it came between her family. She was more than happy to move on from the uncomfortable topic. "It's fairly standard. I split my time between my home and the office at the agency, and unless you count Sadako as a partner, then no. I keep myself busy." She'd make a turn off the expressway they were only a few minutes from the place "What about you? Should I be preparing myself for any in-laws?"
