She was there because she wanted to conduct some live research on recreating the methods in which quirks operated and making support equipment for those like herself with less of a ‘traditional’ quirk. Sure, there had been plenty of research into the application of equipment to facilitate quirk usage with heroes and villains popping up over the last few decades with a wide variety of quirks, some similar to what one would expect from a comic book superhero and others swung wildly in either direction from being very mundane to completely uncontrollable. She even knew some people personally who were actively researching the potential to extract the quirk factor to see if it could be applied to other people or even inanimate things! Truly fascinating stuff.
The idea to conduct this study in this originated from a question posed by a student in a class she was subbing. ‘Why can’t we make gear that could work like our quirks?” It was truly one of the few times in recent years she was completely caught off guard, having spent a long time sorting through the well of a brain she had for either an example or any studies actively being conducted before ultimately coming up with nothing. Even though she likely hadn’t been the only person to ever think of this she did have the means to put it into practice. So through a combination of the school's network and navigating the hero network she put a word out
Looking for willing test subjects to demonstrate and explain the functions of their quirk in a controlled environment.
At the predetermined place deep in the heart of Tokyo, she waited in the control room for anyone who chose to accept this offer, sitting at a console in front of a glass window where the person, once they entered the room and greeted her, would end up to conduct the tests.
For her first subject: Sadako had agreed to meet her here and even though she was well aware of what her quirk did she still wanted it on record to prevent any guesswork if someone were to read up on her research. Hi all! So Iphi is my newest (from the old site) character who is a Pro Hero with a quirk not so much suited for combat. She has a crafting skill and I plan to supplement her arsenal with a lot of gear to compensate! ICly she’s a researcher and her quirk gives her a eidetic memory so I wanted to host a few threads that would help her plot progression and might be fun for others to show off/go into detail about their own characters quirks. As long as you’re not a murderhobo villain anyone is welcome to join!
Basically the starting post for each thread (they will be short! Like 1-3 rounds of posting) will be the same just the last bit tailored to whoever is showing up to demonstrate. Iphi might have comments or suggestions but ultimately any support ideas she (or rather I) gets from quirks I’ll be make sure to give a credit when creating it later! Feel free to either ping/DM me on discord or reply here if you’re interested!

However, Ouros was killed in the line of duty after a certain event, leading to a decline. Most of the staff left for other agencies until ownership became a joint venture for Iphigenia Pavlina, aka. Recall and Sadako Gotoh, aka. Glepnir, who had joined in 2095. The two decided to convert Ouros into an agency focusing on investigative work over traditional hero work, believing that the addition of investigative work was an aspect of hero society that was greatly undervalued.[break][break] The New Ouros has a rather unconventional design when compared to other hero agencies. Since the dissolution of the old guard, Iphi and Sadako relocated to a previously dilapidated traditional Japanese mansion or minka with tatami mat flooring, sliding doors, and wooden engawa verandas. The layout is three smaller interconnected houses. For those who venture to Tokyo Bay, you'll enter the genkan from the main building, an entrance hall where people remove footwear. The flooring for the house is raised off the ground to prevent dampness from entering and to keep the living area from flooding in the case of heavy rain. The lower level is known as the tataki and was traditionally made of packed earth, although concrete has become the standard and Ouros is no exception. The only two additions besides general repairs are a large garden that surrounds the buildings and below the exterior of the home, there is a stairway connecting the main office to an underground facility that houses a workshop, training area, a small lounge, and a storage area. Iphigenia is described as a very dependable and measured person. She prides herself on problem-solving and being able to support those around her to an infallible degree. Naturally, this comes with a bit of stubbornness since she has a hard time accepting she might be wrong but her intent is always one for the betterment of those around her. Filled with compassion for others which is only slightly overshadowed by her inquisitive nature. She is always interested in how and why things/people work the way they do with a particular interest in investigative work even from a young age. She excels at finding solutions to practical problems but this doesn't mean she disregards being emotionally supportive and social. She is much more measured than she was years prior, taking an approach to most situations with an approach of 'assess first and then act'. Even with this newfound outlook, there is definitely still a fire behind her eyes from when she was a leap-first type of person. Given the right circumstances, she can be just as reckless as she was in the past but ONLY in situations where no one will get hurt. She has light red hair tied which is primarily tied into a single long braid and has eye-length bangs with two longer side bangs that frame her face. She is very fastidious when it comes to her hair as she likes to be seen as professional in any public appearance whether she's working or not. Perhaps her most unusual physical feature is her golden eyes. They are very vibrant even in the daytime at nighttime they have a slight glow to them. For her hero work, she keeps it simple by wearing a black businessman suit with a white shirt and black tie tucked inside of it. This is usually adorned with smaller gadgets and a small first aid kit lining the inside of the top. For her casual outfit, if in public, she wears a nearly unbuttoned white jacket with a black dress inside of it, long black stockings, and high-heeled shoes. When she's either in her home or around people she trusts she will forgo all of this and wear a simple hoodie, sweatpants, and some comfortable shoes. [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]HISTORY Born as the first and oldest daughter to a fairly well-off family in Greece, Iphi had a wonderful childhood. She was an only child until she was about 8 when her younger sister was born. From the moment she was born, Iphi felt a strong desire to protect her which continues to this day. Not having much of a desire to join the hero world initially, Iphi didn't really focus on anything related to her quirk. Being a mutation, she had some natural benefits that helped her excel in school, particularly her eidetic memory. This, in turn, made Iphi a bit of a punk, as all she needed to do was look at her textbooks once, and she would gain perfect marks, which left her with a lot of free time. One of her favorite things to do in her free time was to watch crime shows finding the mystery the most appealing part of them. When Iphi eventually graduated High School, her family was approached by a recruiter from UAU who was thoroughly impressed with her perfect marks, and her quirk being registered publically meant that they were very aware of how she was able to do so. UAU didn't really seem like something she was interested in, but she was convinced by her parents to go given that it was a fairly prestigious school. As a result, she shares the honor with a small number of students for getting in through recommendations instead of the normal entrance exam. Of course, this meant she needed to move away from home, but Iphi shared a pinky promise with her little sister that they would talk to each other every day no matter how tough things got. It was at UAU that she met her future coworker Sadako in the hero course, who she became fast friends with continuing to this day. Compared to other students in the hero course, she didn't have a quirk that was able to give her any sort of supernatural advantage, such as being able to generate fire, gain super strength, or fly. What she did have was an excessive amount of brain processing power, and she used that to her own advantage to learn as much as she could during her time at the school. At graduation, she joined an agency named 'Ouros' after the hero who ran it. For a few years, she went into the field frequently learning how to fight properly and became slightly reckless in the process trying to make up for her lack of an offensive quirk. This all came to a head one fateful day when she was overwhelmed by a villain group and Ouros came to her rescue losing their life in the process. The following caused the other senior members of Ouros to leave which left the agency in a bad way. [attr="class","body"] [attr="class","header2"]QUIRK  QUIRK NAME: High Spec QUIRK RANK: B+ QUIRK TYPE: Mutant QUIRK DESCRIPTION: High Spec grants the user unparalleled intelligence, perception, and comprehension that far surpasses that of any other human. The initial ability granted by this quirk, prior to Iphi spending time training, was an eidetic memory in that she can recall anything that has ever occurred in her life. This in turn grants a vast amount of information and knowledge on anything she's learned giving her innated encyclopedic knowledge of science, mechanics/technology, literature, history, etc. Not only does she hold what is considered an "infinite" vault of information but she can also process information, her own or otherwise, at incredible speeds, allowing her to analyze and come to conclusions at an unprecedented rate. She can use the variables of a given situation to predict/perceive [Not to be confused with future vision] the paths that lead to certain outcomes, based on what choices are made. This percentage of accuracy for this is directly proportionate to how much she actively knows about a subject, object, or individual. [AWARENESS]Due to the nature of High Spec, the user is capable of instantly formulating incredibly intricate strategies; such as being able to plan several steps in advance with the information at hand. She can create elaborate complex plans/strategies and apply them not only in battle but all activities that involve intellect, e.g., strategic games. While this quirk doesn't require eyesight to be used for Iphi, it is like she is always looking in AR Reality as she chronicles information and new analysis as little pop-up bubbles that she can 'filter' to determine what specific thing she's looking for with these being updated whenever she learns of new information. QUIRK DRAWBACKS: High Spec has no inherent offensive or defensive capabilities. It simply boosts intelligence and processing power to a high degree but has no capability to interact with the world in any way. The biggest limitation of the quirk is a lack of knowledge. For anything that is unknown or something that Iphi doesn't have any knowledge on she won't be able to use her vault of information to employ any of the more advanced qualities of her quirk. Its artificial dermis, a protective layer over its steel core, ensures that AI.ph.ii operates as a programmable, nearly autonomous support item. It has essential features like GPS, an internal clock, a network connection (for news broadcasts), and a speaker/communicator. The thrusters on its soles, offering limited functionality for basic flight at a running pace, add a practical touch to its capabilities. Its most impressive function is ‘Adaptive Equipment,’ as AI.ph.ii is fully compatible and seamlessly integrates with any equipment Iphi creates. “She” can absorb the equipment flawlessly, removing it from Iphi’s arsenal and utilizing it at its same capabilities. AI.ph.ii can remotely take in any information that Iphi herself learns and use that to adapt to situations with a lightning-fast processing speed nearly identical to her own due to having an inorganic brain. In particular, it highlights those currently wanted for crimes and can identify them from the records stored in its ‘brain’ As a robot, AI.ph.ii doesn’t have the same limitations as humans, making it the ideal training partner. It won’t flinch, doesn’t get hungry, doesn’t get tired, doesn’t get fooled by stimuli that affect the senses (as it’s inorganic). It works as a very fluid fighting form with movements being able to be intermingled without prior intent and can flip from offense to defense without issue.
