Not that they had much choice when their agency was just three people compared to the dozens at other agencies. You likely know our history and that this agency used to be much bigger." there was the slightest tinge of sadness as Iphi still felt the guilt over her rash actions that caused the original collapse of the agency.

This was the exact data she was looking for; the faculty listing did keep tabs on what quirks could do. It was less of the school being nosy and more of a safety concern since a registry meant that if there was an emergency, they could direct those on campus to put out the right fires. Hell, before he even showed up, she knew that Mark's quirk was mental like hers, which sparked her interest in the first place.
It was a fascinating pattern that was displayed on the screen, definitely outside of the scope of anything else she'd ever seen in her countless years of studying. It was as if the information was flooding into his brain from external sources, similar to one opening a dam. His ability to perceive events that didn't happen to him was fascinating. She wondered if it was some signal that accessed her brain and her memories or if perhaps he was absorbing the trace material from Iphi's touch to the device to access her past? There were a million different applications and his comment on her own body didn't go unnoticed. She just didn't respond to it the way he was probably anticipating. After all whatever shower thing he was talking about just confirmed to her that his power was perhaps flawed, hard to argue against someone with a perfect memory as to what their actual actions were. "I see. Valuable data." she wouldn't look up from her console, instead bringing out the keyboard and beginning to type "However, commenting on another coworker's undergarments or viewing them in the shower, quirk or otherwise, goes against our handbook on page 23, paragraph 3, subsection 2. So I'll need to report this to HR." She wasn't personally bothered by this as part of being immersed in as much scientific study as she did and eventually you don't feel much around graphic or explicit things. Though she was a pretty strict rule follower and studied the handbook when she was first employed to make sure she didn't violate any rules or cause another incident like at Ouros. "Unless there is anything else about your quirk you haven't shared you're free to leave. I'll make my HR report on Monday at 9 am so I'd clear out your morning." she would hit another button on the console and the door would open to let Mark leave "Please leave the headpiece and vital monitoring devices where you found them."

This was exactly how she hoped they would go about this in-person meeting, and since ASTA was a public company, she had done a non-insignificant amount of research before their arrival. For her, it was less about what they provided and what type of people she would attach her agency to. Sadako had already signed off on it when Iphi explained the process of how ASTA worked. They had been together a long time so even though she owned half of the agency, she trusted Iphi's judge of character, citing that her "massive brain never missed anything out of the ordinary," which was a frustrating discourse. Still, she couldn't deny that she was correct.
Even if it was a prepared speech, it was very informative, relaying nearly all the information Iphi wanted. "On behalf of Ouros I will accept your proposal. Please add us to your network." she would smile, siping her tea. "I'm sure you know by seeking us out, but our focus is on investigative work. We don't discriminate when it comes to quirks. My own isn't considered something feasible for combat, but there are other ways to supplement what someone is lacking." she would turn to Sonya. "Similar to your cybernetics, and yet you've become more successful than anyone." Optic cybernetics weren't something that was constructed without aiming to replace significant injuries. At this point Iphi would finish her tea and place the cup down in front of her "I'm unsure how much time you may have set aside, but I'd be more than happy to give you a tour and answer any additional questions you may have for me whether they're about our agency or myself personally." if obliged she would lead them to the conference room that had been constructed and if neither had anything to say, would explain the structure of the building. She was quite proud of her renovations on this formerly dilapidated building.

The manner of recording information didn't matter much to her since the writing was just for the sake of those who funded this test. She could remember their entire exchange, from the words to the resulting data presented on the console in front of her. She wouldn't look up as Mark explained what she had been up to. Her eyes would flit between the console monitoring brain activity and her writing, making a point to nod along as Mark spoke to show she was indeed paying attention.
Either he forgot that she was part of an investigative hero agency or didn't care. Regardless she would make sure to point this out "Okay, yes, that's pretty standard stuff. However, this time, if you'd use your quirk, please." anyone who worked on the school for more than a few days would be able to recognize that she was a workaholic and given the nature of her job combined with this study it was pretty obvious. If he had an ace in the hole it was time to use it or this study would be over and she'd throw out the data she collected. It was for quirkers not pretend quirkless.

She was there because she wanted to conduct some live research on recreating the methods in which quirks operated and making support equipment for those like herself with less of a ‘traditional’ quirk. Sure, there had been plenty of research into the application of equipment to facilitate quirk usage with heroes and villains popping up over the last few decades with a wide variety of quirks, some similar to what one would expect from a comic book superhero and others swung wildly in either direction from being very mundane to completely uncontrollable. She even knew some people personally who were actively researching the potential to extract the quirk factor to see if it could be applied to other people or even inanimate things! Truly fascinating stuff.
The idea to conduct this study in this originated from a question posed by a student in a class she was subbing. ‘Why can’t we make gear that could work like our quirks?” It was truly one of the few times in recent years she was completely caught off guard, having spent a long time sorting through the well of a brain she had for either an example or any studies actively being conducted before ultimately coming up with nothing. Even though she likely hadn’t been the only person to ever think of this she did have the means to put it into practice. So through a combination of the school's network and navigating the hero network she put a word out
Looking for willing test subjects to demonstrate and explain the functions of their quirk in a controlled environment.
At the predetermined place deep in the heart of Tokyo, she waited in the control room for anyone who chose to accept this offer, sitting at a console in front of a glass window where the person, once they entered the room and greeted her, would end up to conduct the tests.
Now this was a surprise! She flipped through her datapad, seeing that Kei Hada had volunteered for the project. She hadn't expected any second years to give it even a second thought, and with Kei in the support courses, she didn't think he'd be interested in learning more about his quirk. She was more familiar with support students since she filled in often. What made him so interested in her project, perhaps he was working on something similar and wanted pointers? She tried to make small talk or at least get to know the other UAU faculty whenever possible. Of course, this mainly was due to her own relationships with Sadako and Felix who actively networked as much as possible and encouraged her to do so as well. For Mark, his explanation for his quirk was abstract at best which made Iphi more intrigued. If it was another quirk that didn't have any tangible effects on the outside world then she figured it must have been something closer to slightly manipulating reality.
"Interesting." she would say, writing what he said down before she would gesture to the headpiece and wrist wraps. "Please put these on. They're to monitor your brain activity and vitals during this study," hopefully he didn't have any aversion to using his quirk in a controlled environment and she would exit the room and sit down at the console before speaking into a microphone "Whenever you're ready Mark. Please activate your quirk."

Color her pleasantly surprised when Miroru could genuinely hold her own as she adapted to the situation quicker than Iphi had expected. The next generation was indeed something else, and she felt proud to be instructing them to their best capabilities. Even as Iphi subdued the first criminal, she smiled at Miroru, engaging in a casual conversation despite their situation due to Miroru's intervention in stopping the shooter. "You're already very capable, Prism." she would smile before she would bind the hands and feet of her target "Keep an eye on these two. I'll get the oth-" before she could finish her thought, she would hear the rapid footsteps of the man inside as he sprinted out and began to run away from the duo at an unnatural speed.
Usually, this would be game over for someone like Iphi, as her quirk couldn't stop someone like him. Even Miroru was at a disadvantage with someone this fast. "Field Test #3," Iphi would say as she engaged her gauntlet once again and aimed her fingers at the man running away '7 mph wind. Target is approximately 10 meters moving at a rate of .7 meters per second.' She would only get one shot at this. She adjusted her arm based on these calculations, air rapidly filling the chamber before she unleashed the shot, watching it barrel through the air before it collided with the man knocking the wind of him as he collapsed on the ground. "I'd say this was a successful test." She would face Miroru as she called the police to take these men into custody. "You did very well. Suppose you're ever looking for an internship, come to Ouros. I'd love to have you."

Given his demeanor and body language, this likely wasn't his first rodeo, and if anything, Sonya reminded Iphi how she used to be. At UAU, she was often the one to rush into danger, with Sadako being the voice of reason and either redirecting her or stopping her entirely from doing something stupid. A little ironic given their current roles at the agency, with Iphi being the primary driver of productivity, but people change. She would give another respectful bow to the Masato, knowingly looking at him given her past and how much of a pain people like that could be.
She knew of Sonya through her work, but this was their first meeting in person, so she took this opportunity to do some calculations to store for later on her physical characteristics. '5 feet, 3 inches. Approximately 111.5 pounds. Pale skin and snow-white hair approximately 18 inches in length.' What did catch her eye was Sonya's own. The benefit of her being so forthcoming was that her eyes were focused on Iphi, and this allowed her to see that there was something off about them 'Likely a prosthesis. Assuming damage sustained from a young age.' prosthetics tended to have a tell that you could pick up on if you were astute enough. This generally gave away their age, and Sonya's looked like they'd initially been made a long time ago with updates made over the years. Of course, given her quirk, all of this took place in just a few seconds, and she stored the information gathered away.
She did not skip a beat, given the speed of her assessment, "I'd be more than happy to discuss adding Ouros to your network. As you likely know, our agency is currently only 3 of us, myself included." she would step past to let them both inside and, once done close the door behind them, leading them to a small sitting room. "Would either of you like tea? Sadako is at UAU for the day, and Felix is on patrol." because of this, she would need to fetch the tea herself, which wasn't an issue. Assuming they agreed, she would fetch it and return, handing the cups before taking a seat, crossing her legs. "So, date aside, what would you need from me to expedite this process to be added to this network?" the mention of a date, she smiled with her eyes at Sonya. Iphi didn't trust people implicitly, but she wasn't going to rule anyone out when it came to romantic entanglement. Besides, Sadako was always on her case about socializing more and not overworking herself. She didn't like to admit it, but she was right...even if she was the cause of the extra work.

The shape alloy keeps the air pressure high and lessens the chance of an accidental discharge." she had learned that the hard way with the first two prototypes. The initial one was made of steel and had issues setting back into its original shape after use, and the second was gold, but it couldn't stand up to the heat from the pneumatic reaction. These were things to share at a different point as they had a job moving outside the gate and into the field. "Prism, correct?" she said, elaborating further in case Miroru was caught off guard. "I saw that was what you opted to go for as a hero name. It's a good one!" she would open her GPS and flagged the area they were heading two blocks from where they currently were.
They would approach the location, which ended up being a jewelry store. Internally Iphi sighed in relief as petty crime was usually accompanied by either henchmen or very low-level villains. Given that Miroru was a first-year she didn't want to put her in more danger than necessary and if she had the skills required to pass the entrance exam, then she definitely could handle a few grunts or, at the very least, wouldn't be a liability for Iphi to have her. "Okay. Some heroes will choose to strike first, but I like to air on the side of precaution. In a populated area, you never know if the criminals have hostages, and their safety is the first concern." Iphi quickly walked to the front of the shop and peeked over the wall to scope out the situation. "3 men, all armed. How comfortable are you with gunfire?" it may have been intimidating if Miroru was nervous, but a necessary one. "I'm going to see what I can do to disarm them. Follow up if you can." Activating her gauntlet for a proper field test she would increase the pressure to 100% and fire off three rounds to disarm the men. Two of her shots would land true throwing the weapons to the side while the other man was alerted to their presence and began to lay down suppressing fire. The other man would run out to subdue Iphi and Miroru but Iphi was quick on the return flipping one man over her shoulder which caused him to land on his back and then quickly moving past the other and grabbing his arm to pin it behind his back and kicked out his knee to make him kneel. "Prism, can I leave these two to you?" she hoped Miroru was confident and competent enough to handle these men now that they were unarmed but only time would tell if this would end up being true.

In this specific case the hero in question had gotten injured out in the field and needed a few days to recuperate which was pretty standard in this line of work. For Iphi, this also meant that she was on the hook for learning all the information required to teach this course in just a few days. A daunting task for most, but she had a natural advantage.
To build a model was why she was in the club areas. It was beneficial that as registered faculty she could access any place on campus without restriction and use the resources of the school as long as she was doing so to support students. As she walked through the halls with arms full of crafting supplies her eyes caught the sight of a lone girl sitting in one of the club rooms by herself. Always trying to be supportive she would knock on the frame to let her know she was there and spoke up "Hello! What are you doing in here by yourself? Are you waiting for a club meeting?"

Due to the circumstances of her and Sadako taking over Ouros after the 'incident,' she had never gotten a chance to work with the group. Ouros had gone from being a prominent agency to desolate, with only Sadako, Felix, and herself keeping the place going. Like always, Iphi was working hard to gain more recruits, whether they be other Pro Heroes or internships with little luck. There were plenty of options for new students elsewhere, so they needed to take more initiative.
Today she was meeting with the CEO of ASTA at their headquarters. From her profile that Iphi had read during her research, she already knew extensively about her, from her physical characteristics to her interests and everything in between. Having a perfect memory made information gathering as easy as breathing for her. She had opted for a more casual look as she had some repairs on equipment that Sadako had used and broken in the field earlier that week. Dressed in sweatpants, overalls, and a pair of goggles, she worked on the device until her alarm beeped that it was time for their meeting. She would head up from her lab and towards the front intending to meet them outside before the door swung open and the CEO herself was already there. "Welcome." she said, giving a quick bow of respect. "You must be Sonya Chernovna. It's a pleasure to meet you." She would give a soft smile before her attention was brought to the man lagging behind "Is this other person with you? Oh and please come in and remove your shoes." she would gesture to a spot in the corner where Iphi's own shoes were. She had worked hard to refurbish this place and didn't want the floors scuffed.

Over the years, more and more of her former classmates or juniors would join the staff, and Mark was just that. During her tenure at the school, she hadn't spent much time with Mark as her primary duty was to sub for more of the traditional education classes, but from time to time, she would be enlisted to run his courses. He seemed...a little out of it when it came to his teaching style, but she did value him as a coworker and even more so that he was willing to show up.
"Thank you for coming, Mark." She used his real name since they were both faculty and in an isolated environment. "So my program here is to evaluate quirks and see how well I can integrate them into support gear." she would write on her clipboard some of Mark's physical characteristics before she would gesture for him to follow her into the room that was prepared for the tests "So the first question I have would be what is your quirk?" she was extra eager to find out what he could do given that she couldn't find any records on him using it publicly over the years.
