"I also like her," Mercy smiled warmly back at Nox, nodding along and happy to find that both of their judgements aligned pretty well. It was just a matter of luck or fate that brought Megumi's path to meeting both Nox-Sensei and Princess Mira. Whether it is the case, it's not something that Mercy would forget appreciation for such good fortunes.
Entering the museum alongside the Princess, it would become heavily apparent that the guards were on high alert from the words declared by the Princess. Mercy would spot the guard reaching for the walkie talkie several moments after Nox had started taking action. Nox would perform a rather defensive action to protect their little operation.
Mercy took stock of the unfolding actions before her, and saw a way out to advance their goals without making this a complete fight from beginning to end. Reaching into her dress, the tall Mistress of Death would pull out what looked like three golden coins with odd runic symbols on them with a faint skull design etched on them.
"We are nothing more than participants in the festivities of the night," Approaching the guard, she took his free hand and placed the golden obol coins in them. Upon leaving her touch and influence, the golden coins would unfurl and return to their normal state of 10,000 yen notes. Three of them to be exact, which now rest in the guards' hands.
"A bargain I impart upon you, to ensure proper service throughout the rest of tonight's activities," The woman would gently smile, as the guard went through quite the variety of emotions upon the interaction. Hostility and defensiveness when the tall woman approached, intrigue upon seeing the golden coins, and revelation upon watching them turn into pure cash. "More coin may come your way if you permit us to enjoy ourselves," Mercy's almost creepy kindness would both unsettle the man, but at the same time there was no lie in her words.
A meager parlor trick if one knew how Mercy's quirk worked, but this bribe worked their weight in gold in persuading him.
"Move along," The man spoke against his better judgement upon realizing that he was talking to people who meant serious business. Especially ones who were utilizing the 'bad cop, good cop' routine in a rather effective manner.
"Come along my dearies, may our fortunes be blessed by Kindness," A small bounce in her step as Mercy would return to Princess Mira's side to allow her and Nox to take point.

Having offered Retsu the bundles of cash, she would watch as the violet haired woman would only take a portion of it. "Oh?" She would look in confusion, having a double take before mentally reassessing the amounts. Even confirmed by Retsu having mentioned how this was enough and anything extra would cost more, which was met with an, "Oh, okay. Thank you for being forthright with me, I again apologize for my inexperience in such matters. I hope I'm not too much of a bother."
Megumi was quite the anomaly of a person acting in accordance to an oath that seems almost alien to most, and yet still acted in full faith and belief of others even if they were of low repute such as Retsu. If anything, Megumi was more so fascinated and interested in Retsu's own skills and values, wondering what kind of life made her into the woman she was today. This sadly would not be explored today, as Retsu was eager to kick Megumi out of the workshop.
"I believe that is all," Megumi would confirm, only finding pause and being surprised with both a deposit box key and a burner phone, "What's this?" She mindlessly inquired, before having it explained to her as to the method of pickup. "Quite the ingenious method of collection, I commend such lateral thinking," Megumi once again gave her compliments to her new ally.
"Then I shall take my leave, but not before I impart my own method of contact," As she took a spare pen on the table and wrote her phone number within her own notebook, just before Retsu took a photograph of it. "My Oath is sacred, and my bond to you be true. If you need assistance with anything, I shall be there for you my friend."
With little else to say, Megumi would deposit the burner phone and key into her bag before departing the warehouse. A smile on her face as she could feel herself getting one stop closer to Kindlihood.

Thankfully Mira understood and trusted Mercy enough to get by with this explanation, and the priestess would understand that the Princess' quirk could copy other people's quirks. That was quite the find of a power, as a stray thought entered the woman's mind. A thought of if Mira could copy her Mistress' boon? Since they were going into a den of thieves, Mercy had some idea formulating in the back of her mind.
All the while it was decided that they were to go, with Mira showing the museum to Nox and her sensei leading the way for the group. As Mercy kept thinking it over, she inquired Sensei Nox for a potential blade for self defense and it was a needless question. Nox was more than forthcoming in lending one of her tools, as long as Mercy continued to show respect to her sensei's tools. "I will not disappoint," Mercy would agree as she followed at Mira's side.
Nodding along to her superiors in villain, especially Nox who gave good advice that Mercy would follow without question. Moving in turn at Mira's side, Mercy would find a moment of peace to speak with Mira. "Princess Mira, I believe that with your powers of duplication you may have the ability to mirror my Mistress' Blessing as well. As such, I shall impart upon you the oath spoken that will activate the blessing... 'Please Do Not Fear The Reaper, Nor Her Envoy For Their Job; For We Are The Soul's Keepers, The Kind Danse Macabre.' Upon uttering those words, you should be able to utilize my Mistress' Soul Energy."
With a soft smile, this would soon lead the trio to reaching the Museum. If it wasn't for Nox, the Priestess would have very likely lead the trio to enter through the front door. Mercy would've given her own compliments to her sensei, if not for the fact that they were going in through a side alley to approach the doorman. After all, with Nox leading them towards the doorman and keeping her silence, it meant that all the talking was up to the person they were acting as retainers towards.
And as such, her tongue would be held back. Just following Nox's example.

"Willing indeed," Megumi would assure her new compatriot. More lore surrounding Megumi's Fundamentals were shared, to which Retsu was among the skeptics who allowed her to speak. It's not something she was unfamiliar with, especially from those the priestess trusted before her accident. Though at the inquisition towards a potential story, there was an observable wince from her compatriot.
Noting it only on the surface for now, she'd only answer a potential comment, "No story there. It's merely simple a logical step for the mass populace to call something akin to assisted suicide; murder. While a logical connection, such a goal is not shared by my Mistress. I am to merely assist those who lose the will to live, or defend this vessel from those who seek to harm it." Hoping this would have elaborated pretty well her point, Megumi would soon find herself approaching an area with enough twists and turns that was rather unfamiliar to her.
Retsu would accept the apology as she observed the designs, happy to hear that such a weapon was doable. Much of the conversation soon turned into a quiet waltz towards a building in which Retsu used as a workshop. Megumi would remain standing until offered a seat, as Retsu would ask about a style request.
"No style necessary," Megumi would answer quite simply, "When I transform to use my Mistress' blessing, my belongings assume a transformation adjacent to mine own. I trust your judgement Miss Retsu." Speaking all this, she would soon pull out a bundle of yen bills and put them on a nearby table surface. This definitely seemed to pay a little more than what the scythe would even be worth, even including labor fees. "Is it fair to assume this to be half for now, then half upon completion?"
Holy shit, this naive girl was waaay overpaying for Retsu's service. In this young woman's mind, she was all too truthful in the admission that money was no issue and sought to see her new associate was properly compensated for taking such a job from such a fresh face in the criminal industry. Retsu would then attempt to shimmy over a little, watching the violet haired woman transcribe the sketches into her own work notebook.
"Superb penmanship," Megumi attempted to compliment, unaware of how else she could assist since she was truly trusting Retsu's skills at this point.

It seemed her transformation had startled Mira, who seemed to be rather surprised to have learned the full extent of Megumi's quirk. It wasn't something that Megumi intentionally hid it from Mira in particular, as she wasn't too secretive about this form. Rather it's something that felt draining at this level, especially with her level of practice and without an appropriate tool. "Levitating small objects is merely the quirk I was born with, this form is a blessing from my Mistress," She attempted to elaborate whilst Mira demonstrated a floating knife before declaring the priestess was keeping secrets.
"Tis no secret, just the first time my Mistress' blessing has become relevant in our discussion," She'd insist with a simple smile, before giving a curtsy and adding on, "And I hold no secrets, for I'll give answer to any query you-" Turning her gaze to Nox, "or sensei posits upon this vessel."
Being completely upfront about her intentions, Nox would thankfully steer the conversation back to the goal at hand. They were to repossess Mira's belongings, and it seemed that Nox shared one of Mercy's sentiments in regards to the planning. "Then I believe it is of the utmost importance to blend in, then at an opportune moment take hold of the situation. Princess Mira, please guide us to the establishment as we know not where to go."
Pausing, she turned to her sensei and inquiring, "Sensei, I have to remain extra patient for my contact to finalize my Lady's Trick Scythe. If need be, may I appropriate one of your blades for self defense? I assure you, I have been following your teachings every day." She was woefully handicapped without any of the tools Mercy was trained in, so it seemed like a fair query to posit upon Nox.

Mercy would find her patience in dealing with this obstinate healer, who was getting increasingly agitated far too quickly. Could they have some sort of connection with this stranger? No, they would've said his name. So why go so far to save the body of a stranger? It was evident to see his soul was in absolute anguish, so why punish this soul even further with prolonged grief? Such things seemed quite asinine to Mercy, as she filtered out the easy therapist talking points.
Mercy merely remained silent, letting her actions of relieving this man's pain speak for her. Rather, she spent the time Kysaly spent talking to slide a hand into the man's right hand side pocket. Finding nothing, she searched the left and found a wallet. Not really hiding her actions, she flipped it open to see his ID. Date Takeyama, early thirties. There was a sleeve apt for a small photo, but was oddly empty.
She slid the wallet back into his pocket only to find Kysaly getting right in Mercy's face, using such foul language claiming that the priestess' presence was hindering her ability to 'help' this guy's body. The Lady of Death kept her silence long enough for the guy to speak up, "Wai-... A Docthor? For realshies?? My luck's turnin' round den, got... Plenty of exshperience as 'n 'Nsurance agent-" Then and only then did his eyes widen, reaching for his legs before wailing into agony.
For Mercy would see this man's will to live, however faint, was still alive. Removing her Soul Energy from affecting him, she slowly began to push off of him and stood up to her full height. "It vexes me. Vapid promises and vulgarity gave him a hollow will to live," Speaking her thoughts half to herself and somewhat directed at Kysaly, the Maiden's eyes would meet the doctor's. "However unkind your methods may be, if it works then I shall give my blessing for the Mistress doesn't take living souls. I pray, however, to not see Mr. Takeyama's name in the obituaries."
Mercy held no personal investment or attachment to Kysaly, but more so saw this as a confusing hypocrisy coming from a total stranger. There is merit in living in spite of struggle, but none at all for holding off the inevitable. And someone who attempted an end to their own life once would, in Mercy's rationalizing, become a repeat offender. So with genuine curiosity, she would stand by and watch to see how this woman would give salvation to this desperate man's body & soul.

"I lay no blame upon you for such a narrow minded view," Mercy would remark with a gentle smile on her face, talking back with Kysaly in a well-practiced even tone, "To some merely getting out of bed to face the world is a herculean task, and of those some would opt to find comfort in the Afterlife by their loved ones and by Lady Death herself. If this is his truest desire, then why force him to live similar to that of some undead creature?" A genuine question would challenge this world view, not from a sense of wanting to see someone die or fulfilling some weird ambition.
After all, both of these people here cared for the man who jumped off the building.
Mercy would continue attempting to soothe the man's last moments, giving him comfort over what was on the other side. Not paying any mind towards the frowns and scowls from the onlooking stranger, who would continue her pursuit in trying to give this man hope. Doing her best to mend the wounds, to which Mercy wouldn't hinder those moments.
The guy was doing that himself by flailing a weak arm at Kysaly, blustering out, "What do you kno- *HIC* -ow? This wus my carreer, and it's gone now! I gat nothin' goin for me, I dohn even know if you meen it... so ifff it's the end then... *HIC" He began spacing out a bit at that statement, to which Mercy took the man at his word. It was getting harder for this mind to be coherent with both the booze that made him drunk and the blood-loss.
All the while, Mercy would watch as Kysaly would attempt to get in her face and very much demanding that she stop. "I believe you have me wrong," Mercy would reach out and grab the corner of the nurse's phone. A firm hold that would merely hold it in place, as the Merciful Woman would use the Soul Energy of her quirk to drain its heat and create a layer of frosted ice over the phone's screen. Making any attempt to input actions fruitless, and thus interrupting any outbound calls.
"You are merely saving his body. I'm trying to give his soul salvation, as I believe he has lost the will to live. If we merely acted at your behest without any attempt on saving his soul, he'd once again make an attempt on his life. Only I would most likely not be present to bestow alleviation to his pain" Mercy would release the phone, not wanting to offend Kysaly any further by wanton destruction of property. "I only give a Death's Comfort to those who embrace it willingly, for none should suffer in their final moments."
If the person challenging her deathly claim understood, then she had to rightfully save him proper.

Despite the ever present danger that she was putting herself into, Megumi almost seemed unperturbed or welcoming a possibility of death. After all, this was what she was currently seeking in potentially finding others with strong souls indicative of those blessed by the Fundamentals. And if it ended in failure, then all it meant was that she failed to live up to her Lady's standard.
Though the flow of conversation seemed to shift in a new direction upon the mention of a Trick Scythe that needed some sort of developmental help from a craftsman such as Bakiri Retsu. The notebook was thumbed to one of the earlier pages which showcased the sketches of a scythe that had removable parts that gave multiple uses.
It seemed that the conversation had won over Miss Retsu, as the Kindly Priestess was invited to walk and talk as it were. "As you wish," Megumi would curtsy before following Retsu with an even pace, having momentarily forgotten to zip up her satchel as it allowed Retsu a glance at other things in the satchel.
Of note was a golden colored cross that seemed to be the most eye-catching, pressed against the side of the small bag being carried by the Priestess. Along with that there were more general use items such as a small packet of wet-wipes, a metal tin that had Hello Kitty printing on it, and an audio CD Player with not only some wire earphones but a blue-tooth speaker tucked away as well. There was a wallet as well in there, but it was currently inside one of the side pockets within that satchel that was still buttoned closed.
Retsu while having a chance to spot these assortment of items also took the opportunity to gleam more information out of Megumi concerning her whack-a-doodle beliefs. Most interestingly being caught quite off guard with the concept of Kindness needing a Scythe, as she was under the impression that it was sunshine and rainbows with Kindness.
"Hohoho, it is quite interesting to see the difference in what the Fundamentals are and what they've been transcribed to be," Megumi would almost seemingly not answer directly just yet, as she elaborated, "Their concepts have found alterations to better fit different values as generations pass. Kindness' Ideals are still rather similar to the modern day equivalent, which involves acts of generosity and consideration without expectation of praise nor reciprocation. Yet, the modern day equivalent omits that Death is the greatest act of Kindness once could be given. Relief and Eternal Comfort are given to the souls who willingly pass on to the afterlife, and with the power I have been blessed to inherit I can make death completely painless."
"And at the behest of her teachings, I must arm myself with her weapon for there are those who deny my Lady's Kindness, attempting to foolishly refuse death and extend life in unnatural fashions. Or, in far more likelihoods, make vain attempts to prevent me from doing my duties as they mistake my Lady's goodwill for being some depraved blood goddess." All spoken with an earnest sincerity, which to the untrained ear could be some rather odd lore for some tabletop RPG or some weird lore for an online video game. Yet, this was all something Megumi truly believed in.
"Miss Retsu, I'd be glad to talk more at length of the Fundamentals, however I would like to extend my apologies for such an unrefined manner of reaching out to you. I am honored that you give me a chance despite such an intrusion on my part," Being unbearably polite was one of Megumi's most accentuated traits. By this point she noticed her satchel was open still and as such flipped it closed, keeping a rather blank and open mind as she followed Retsu through the alleyways to wherever she was being lead towards.
Retsu could quite literally lead Megumi into a den of thieves to exploit the naive Priestess in its entirety, and her Lady's Envoy would still walk into that trap with how much faith she put into this chance meeting.

Mira didn't see a reason to deny head pats towards the Princess, and would continued petting and stroking that hair. Even as Nox had arrived, and the Priestess gave each other introductions. Though it seemed Nox didn't seem to find the necessity in giving head pats to the Princess, which was her choice after all.
Soon the conversation shifted on over towards the topic of the specifics of this job, as Mira would soon snap to the notion of showcasing the item in question. A necklace that was being sold in an auction, and Mira felt determined to get it back no matter what. At least Megumi knew what to retrieve back for her associate now, which was good enough for the cause.
Mira would then declare that they should all get dressed up for the auction, which was met with resistance from Nox as she wanted assurances and proper plans of action. "Hmmmmm," Megumi would hum out as she would take stock of the situation itself. Mira's plan itself definitely seemed rather intrusive and would paint targets on their backs quite easily, so Nox's suggestion definitely has a better sustainability to it.
"I was originally of the impression that we were going to blend in with the normal populace at the meet up point of handing off the auction goods to the victors of the bids. However if the auction has yet to occur, then several options open." Megumi would ponder aloud, as her cultural lack of awareness and intelligence was soon outshone by this rather odd sense of planning acuity, "If we blend in with the auction, then we can acquire it by the means of the auction itself. That depends on the level of funds you're willing to dispose of in order to reclaim what is yours."
"That plan has little way in terms of violence, yet it forces us to acquiesce to their rules. Instead what I believe might be most expedient is to join the event and one of two ideas. The first which I would admit is the worst option would be taking the goods before they are auctioned off, making enemies of the auction house. The second would be to either trail those who successfully acquire the necklace via the auction, then we can pilfer their belongings and whatever other goods they successfully acquire."
A smile would grow on her face, as she would then follow this up with, "Regardless, it seems I am underdressed for this. I only need but a moment to correct this..."
She took a breath as her already cold touch seemed to get even colder, the air brought down to an even deeper chill as she began uttering her chant...
"Please Do Not Fear The Reaper,
Nor Her Envoy For Their Job;
For We Are The Soul's Keepers,
The Kind Danse Macabre."
Her body would turn black, with bones that seemed like they shone through her skin or were painted on. Clothing morphed into an elegant dress as a hat formed atop her head, turning her into the visage of Lady Death herself. "Princess Mira, I believe this is the first I'm sharing this with proper explanation. While I assume this form, please address me as Mercy, for that is the title that Kindness bequeathed unto me under her tutelage."

After a considerable amount of waiting, the first to arrive was Mira. She remembered almost dropping the phone from how loud the young princess was when wailing about her stolen Family Treasures. Megumi agreed to assist and offered the idea of reclaiming what was hers, and even offered a mutual alliance through some extra muscle with Nox. She seemed eager to hear that, and hopped on that idea real fast.
Mira would waste not time in taking a seat next to the tall Priestess, her cheeks so puffed out that they could probably be mistaken for a Chipmunk type of Quirk user. There was no second thought upon being ordered to pat her head, in which Megumi would wrap an arm around Mira into a half-hug, her own hand stroking up and down the top and side of Mira's head. Patting and petting it all the same, listening to the rant once more.
"There, There young Princess," Megumi would assure her companion, "Calm your emotions Princess, we shall stake your claim and if not heeded their own safety may very well be forfeit." The cold woman's hand would be very cold to the touch through Mira's hair, which found no pause in stroking the pink strands of hairs at Nox's arrival.
"Greetings Sensei Nox," Megumi would turn to face Nox, who seemed to be wondering whom this petty, pouty princess getting prettily petted upon was. A smile nod from Megumi would preface the introduction, "Princess Mira, I introduce you to Sensei Nox. I met her shortly after I returned from my Mistress' Realm," Remarking upon her time of being unconscious and having a mental detachment of reality, "-and is helping me develop my body to become a proper Vessel to house Kindness' power."
After having done that, she would do the inverse as she hummed aloud, "Nox, I introduce you to Princess Mira. Her royalness is an individual whom I believe is of importance, and is also the contractor for our excursion."
Megumi's voice would turn a bit softer, upon realizing something. "Princess Mira, you remarked upon your Family Treasures. Since our team has congregated, would you regale upon such heirlooms we are repossessing whilst we approach the point of sale?" Megumi would attempt to stand up, pulling Mira up along with her as the Priestess was subconsciously eager to get started.
After all, if these criminals didn't surrender Mira's Family Treasures and choose violence, then as decreed by Kindness their mortal lives would be found forfeit. Kindness will either punish their souls, or seek to reform them in the Other Realm.
