Ah, how lovely this place is. I don't want to burn it down already. Mitoki grimaced a little, starting to walk away from the class room. She didn't want to deal a fight between teachers and students so going to eat was more of a 'get away' from the situation. She wasn't even that hungry after all. She could pick up a work shift at her job maybe? Not that it matters, as long as she could get away from that classroom, she'd be fine. She'll avoid this arshole like the pest and if it means she will leave UAU, she'll do it. Fuck that guy.
Regardless, it was ramen time. "I usually eat ramen at my work. It's a small store about 10 minutes away from school. Neighborhood place." Mitoki could tell that Haruto was bit in a mood. Not that she was surprised, Lone Wolf was being a dick. To be fair, both were being a dicks. Being a adult and behaving like that, especially with the frontal lobe developed, just means Lone Wolf has a character deficiency. Never mind that though. It's ramen time.
"What ramen do you guys like? I'm a Shio ramen sort of girl." Mitoki would ask, walking down the hallway. Time to change the convo.

Mitoki stretched, only glancing at over at the new arrival in the room. He didn't look like a teacher so she assumed it was another student. She had checked the schedule and there was no class scheduled to happen until two days from now. The last thing she needed was having Lone Wolf or whoever get mad at her for doing quirk research again. Thankfully, Mitoki didn't come to blows with any professor yet, even though the uniform policy was stupid. She wasn't joining the Self Defense Force. Her complaints about the school was not her current concern though. The student was her new focus of attention.
She hadn't seen them before but she rarely recognised the students around at UAU. Being a part timer meant that she barely was taking any classes. He looked relatively attractive, not that it was a notable to her. Just observing, as is her habit. "Well no, it's more personal research. I'm studying what was written about my quirk." Mitoki's case was relatively well known in the scientific circles of quirk research. Mostly because of the way her parents acted but also the drugs that were developed with some questionable ethics based on her parents research. Progress of science never stops.
"Mitoki Ono. Pleased to meet you. Sorry about the mess, I've been here for a bit." Mitoki would add dryly, slurping down more of her lunch.

Slooooorp. The loud sound of ramen slurping echoed in the messy support classroom. Mitoki had taken over a support classroom. She had found one of the support rooms that was a bit run down and wasn't much in use according to the staff. Something about a previous student accidentally destroying a window or something. She wasn't paying much attention. She just need a place for her white boards and many notebooks. She needed a place to spread out and think about her quirk, draw up theories and what else have you. Mostly right now, Mitoki was pouring over her own parents' research. She needed to understand what they did to her and what it meant for her. Mitoki needed to know what is going to happen to her. The room that Mitoki took over had become a bit of a mess. She had pushed in three extra white boards into the small classroom. Each white board was full theories that her parents had tested with her while she was younger, theories she had tested recently, math equations relating to thermodynamics, or whatever rambles Mitoki was testing at the time. She had spread out multiple notebooks on the tables, each relating to complex gene therapy that Mitoki had gone under. She had decided to make the room her second home. She had her own little shoe-box she lived in Tokyo but she preferred keeping her student life separate from her home life. Besides, her cat would mess up her notebooks anyway. Sitting in a rolling chair, Mitoki pushed herself around with her feet, eating the ramen as she listened to her father talk about how Mitoki was producing stronger flames. One handy thing about her shitty parents was that they recorded everything. After listening to her father for a couple more minutes, she shut off the voice recording. Sighing a bit, she turned her attention to the white board that was displaying a diagram of her hand. "I've noticed scarring appearing at the palm of my hand, they appear to be stemming from older injuries caused by quirk outburst event #278." Mitoki pressed a little button on her recording device. She placed the ramen cup next the growing collection of used ramen cups, before taking a swig from her water bottle. She had mostly lost track of time. |

"The purpose of a lab is for controlled experiments that are not effected by the environment, however, if this is a issue at UAU, I'll find alternative ways to do my tests." Mitoki sighed and gave a slight bow before listening to whatever Haruto was chatting about. She didn't have much energy to go into the details on why her parents were in prison. It was a life story that he didn't deserve to hear. Hell, no one at UAU deserved to hear the story. "Unethical Experiments can yield positive results. Our country's history is a perfect example of that." Mitoki was about to continue when Haruto started going off on Lone Wolf. It was a amazing rant, personally. It actually made Mitoki change her mind on Haruto. At least a little. After the little rant, Mitoki chose a different path than she was expecting. "Well, I do appreciate the offer Ando-san. I actually got the data I needed. If you could just point me to them and I'll go there next time." Mitoki did a small bow before adding "I am feeling a bit peckish so I might go grab some ramen. If any of you are hungry, you are welcome to come." Mitoki would offer, clearing up some of her things that she brought. "If using what the equivalent of a cig lighter sets off the fire alarm in lab classroom, I might not be able to be on campus premises without my gloves on." Her remarks were more of a pondering thought than a remark on what Lone Wolf said. Personally, if she got kicked out for something as silly as her quirk starting up, UAU might want to reevaluate it's standards. She'd just go to grad school somewhere else. To demonstrate why she was annoyed with the fire alarm, she walked over to the fume hood in the room. Holding one hand under the fume hood, she pulled her one of her gloves off. Her right hand started feeling tingly until a light flame started engulfing her finger tips. The fume hood was doing it job of containing the burning smell and is if on que, the alarm that Lone Wolf was holding started beeping again. Closing her hand, she let the fire die before draping the glove over her hand, Slowly opening her hand, the glove wrapped itself around her fingers and her palm. Removing her hands from the fume hood, she pointed at the fire alarm. "During the next chemistry class, that thing was going to yell anyways." Mitoki sighed a bit, not really considering Lone Wolf's suggestion. Her quirk would just lead to her exploding her own arms. There's a reason she doesn't go near gas stoves. "I rather not violate the Geneva Convention, besides, my interest are scientific. My quirk is effected by my internal processes. I'm just-" Mitoki stopped talking, noticing the newcomer. Rule breaker? Well, nice to meet you too. Before she could even think of a response of what she would say, another person arrived. Oh, we have a party. Just love that. She decided to address Haruto in a rather plain manner. "There's several scientific papers from my dear parents about my quirk, emotions have nothing to do with it. If they did, they wouldn't be the ones in prison." Mitoki spoke enough about her parents and most of her university friends from Tokyo knew her story. It was even a minor news story in Hokkaido at the time. "If this is going to be an issue, I'll just go to where I already went to school. Ah, so the teachers do pay attention at least. That's a good thing. Mitoki gave a small bow to who she believed was Lone Wolf. Some hero that taught at UAU. She had read up on him a little because she looked into being a TA at the school before deciding to part time at the school and work at a ramen shop. The ramen shop was not part of the original plan but she liked the owner so she didn't mind. Yeah, her degree was not in ramen but that was neither here or there. "My apologies, sensei. It appears that the smoke detector is out of date. As you can see here, it expired 8 years ago." Mitoki would point at the expiration date of the smoke detector. "Clearly the staff at UAU has been neglecting regular maintenance. I imagine the inspector would be very grumpy about that as well." Handing the smoke detector to the professor, she gave a small bow. "Personally it is very worrisome that I cannot preform simple temperature readings. As you can tell by where my thermostat is, I was no where near the smoke detector and it went off by simply my quirk existing. Very shameful." Mitoki wasn't trying to be too much of a shit. She wasn't lying. She was nowhere near the smoke detector and her quirk had barely got going when the thing was beeping at her. She hadn't had this problem at her old university. Putting her hand in the smoke hood was usually always enough. "I do apologise though. I'm just trying to understand what effects the temperature and intensity of my hands. I have to wear these special gloves that keeps them dormant." She was being honest at least. UAU really needs to get different smoke detectors. Mitoki would think to herself, sitting in one the empty lab classrooms, tinkering with a smoke detector she had ripped of the wall. Mitoki wanted to analyse the flames on her hand, seeing whether her recent diet changes had some effects on her flames. She had decided to increase her protein intake along with her regular exercise and check if it had changed her flames strength and intensity. This included adding a extra slice of pork to her ramen bowls. Adding some protein to her vitamin shake. Basically just adding stuff to her normal routine. Naturally, a lab would have the equipment to handle such tests, at least that what Mitoki thought. Mitoki underestimated a smoke detector that was from 15 years ago.
As soon as she took off her gloves, the thing went haywire, probably loud enough for anyone in the hallway of the lab to hear it. Instinctively, she ripped the thing of the wall with her non-gloved hand. Naturally, it fucked up some wiring and killed the thing. Now Mitoki was busy, hunched over a lab table trying to fix the circuit board of the thing. She had put on her gloves again so she didn't super heat the screwdriver she was fiddling with.
"You'd think this fancy place didn't have a fire detector that was expired." Mitoki would curse under her breath, unscrewing the back plate of the useless piece of plastic. "This thing looked like it was wired together by a gnome on weed." Mitoki would say, looking at the mess of the wires. She was choosing to ignore the scorch marks. Not her fault the chip set doesn't withstand a little fire. "I probably can just hide it and buy a new one? No one will notice?

Mitoki is a bit neurotic to put it lightly. She is very much obsessed with her quirk, often spending hours of her day researching her quirk and general quirk science. She is generally very steadfast in her demeanor and often has a very positive outlook on her life. She wants to accomplish a lot as hero, thinking its the calling she can accomplish meaningful change in the world. When not in the lab, she loves spending time with her friends. She values her friends very much and would do anything to support them. She can be a bit intense though, often going a bit overboard. If she sees you slacking, she's going make you regret that decision. It's always a 100% or nothing with her. That can be off putting to those with a more mellow disposition. She loves spending time in ramen shops, especially if they serve Shio ramen. She often says the best ideas come over a bowl of comfort. When she was born, her parents were fairly absent from her life. During this time, Mitoki was raised by her grandparents. For about the first five years, Mitoki had a relative average childhood. Had play dates with her kids her age. Threw rocks into ponds. Pet stray cats. Eat ice cream. Kid stuff. It was a quiet life and she didn't mind the absence of her parents too much. There was, of course, a lack of her actual parents being around made her vunerable. A part of her wanted her parents approval. For them to acknowledge her. For them to say that they loved her. She would eventually get her wish. When Mitoki's quirk developed, her parents entered her life. Their occupation as quirk scientist meant they had great interest in Mitoki. At the age of 7, Mitoki's quirk started displaying. Initially, it was just a simple fire quirk. She could produce small flames via her hand. Her parents, seeing the potential in the quirk, started doing standard quirk tests. It was normal at first. Testing if external sources can boost the quirk. Testing how strong the general flames were. It was all above board. During theses tests, Mitoki didn't spend much time with her friends. She would attend school and as soon as school was over, she was whisked away by her parents to their lab. It meant that Mitoki rarely got any sleep, being sleep deprived for a good chunk of her childhood. Mitoki didn't question her parents, however. Her parents were giving the attention she always wanted from them. She always wanted to be important to her parents. She was important to them in some sense. She was important to their research. The older Mitoki got, the more invasive the tests started to become. Blood samples, gear set to amplify the quirk, and experimental drugs of her parents own design were part of the testing program. Her parents had a contract with Hojo which allowed them to test the latest and greatest in quirk innovation. These experiments rarely yielded any results. Her quirk developed normally, becoming a average fire quirk. During this time, the quirk experiments started to take a toll on Mitoki. She was attending a event at high school with her friends when the effects of the experiments finally caught up with her. While at her high schools culture festival, her quirk ignited. While eating some food, fire started bursting from her body uncontrollably. It was a miracle no one got seriously hurt. Mitoki was quick enough to realize what was happening, and threw herself into the nearest body of water, which happened be a dunk tank. A couple police officers and firefighters later, Mitoki was first arrested for unauthorized use of ones quirk. After a couple weeks, however, her parents meddling came to light. Mitoki was let go and sent to a specialized hospital to study what might be occurring with Mitoki. This is where the extent of the experiments conducted on Mitoki truly came to light. Her quirk had gotten stronger but a price was paid. Her body was being used as fuel to support her quirk. Her quirk was slowly going burn her up from the inside. She was released from the hospital, advised to not use her quirk. Mitoki, unsure of the whole effect of her parents' research set out to understand what happened to her. After finishing high school, Mitoki attended the University of Tokyo, initially only interested in quirk research. She spent her four years at the university, trying to understand what had happened to her. She gained a general understanding of her quirk but she did not understand why it was doing what it was doing. Her professors were stumped as well, not sure why her quirk was slowly burning up her body. She eventually learned that consuming a high caloric diet would mitigate most passive side effects of her quirk but it seemingly had no effect on the quirk as a whole. The clock was still ticking. After graduating, Mitoki decided that she needed to start over with her life. Put what her parents did behind her and do something with her life. She needed a place to do research. A place where her quirk might be useful. She decided to enroll at UAU for the hero course while working as a lab technician for the school. She hopes that it will give her avenue to understanding her quirk and maybe stopping the clock on the bomb inside of her.
