He talks too much.
Not in the 'monologue about their evil plans' kind of way but in the annoying 'cracks a joke at every opportunity' way. At the root of it all, Nox doesn't need to do this. Any of this. He could have run a perfectly successful travel business. It would have competed with locals taxis and buses... maybe worked alongside them to get more people who knows where... but nope! The mundanities of life are too [i]boring.[/i] Nox wants to feel the highs of adrenaline, the rush of near-death experience. Even skydiving loses its luster eventually.
Still, he's more likable than you'd think. He's great at listening, playful banter, and being inclusive of others. In more ways than not, he doesn't [i]feel[/i] like a villain in his day to day. And he's not that great at it either. He gets the job done but he's sloppy. He has the room to be. And he's on thin ice with the more professional types. Unfortunately... they need him.
And he [i]loves[/i] the leverage.

i'm only taking 10 threads at a time.
there will be high priority threads and low priority threads. a high priority thread will receive a minimum of two posts a week. low priority threads will receive one post a week. if you don't post within a high priority thread within a week, it gets dropped to a low priority thread.[break][break]
you can extend this once or give me a heads up ahead of time to give yourself a buffer. if you or someone else in the thread doesn't post within one month, the thread gets dropped. if you want to continue a dropped thread, you have to wait for another slot to open up.[break][break]
all my threads will have a predetermined duration. you can request a 5, 8, or 12 post thread. each person in the thread will post the predetermined amount of posts where we will reach the narrative endpoint. i'm down to improvise the details but i want every thread to have an objective or focus. it can be as simple or as complex as necessary.[break][break]

Gabriel stared into his own, terrified eyes. Tears rolled down his face washing away the splatters of blood across it — blood that wasn't his own. When he looked down in his hands he learned that they weren't his hands. They belonged to a man much older than him. He could see the callouses under the lacerations and viscera he desperately tried to shove back into his torso. It was a lost cause. The man's eyes moved again, looking at the feet of an obscured figure. When he looked up a blade was awaiting him. As it swung down everything went black.
For years Gabriel's parents — and the specialists they took him to — thought these visions were night day terrors. Through countless therapeutic sessions, that cater both to his mental health and understanding of his quirk, they made no progress. It wasn't until his 8th birthday that they believed his dream was more than a dream. And by that point...
It was too late.
He had been kidnapped by Trinity, a serial killer who killed in threes. A man who was so afraid of death that he performed a ritual to ease his aging, warped mind. He would abduct a grandfather, an uncle, and a boy no older than 10 — none of which related — only to subjugate them to the same fate he was terrified of.
