If I am not good, if I cannot protect the people I love and the community I live in, then I am nothing. Solution:I'm imperfect. It's a delusion to think I can change that irrefutable fact. I should accept my flaws and mistakes; after all, pursuing perfection is, in itself, a paradox. If perfection were attainable, it'd mark the end of personal growth. To stop growing is to die. More than most, I carried this burden. I led a rebellion fueled by equal parts moral righteousness and teenage angst against him and his empire before being shipped off to America. If I had been stronger, I could have stopped him; I could have shown him the error of his ways. But his eyes saw the heavens, a sight I would never be privy to. I was tethered to the Earth — my tail a grim reminder that he was of the sky, and I, of the trees. Still, I forged a life in the concrete jungle, a life where I made a difference.
It began with a friend. Then a few more. Together, we created a hero agency we could barely keep afloat. Some married. Some died.
The rest retired.
Make no mistake: I was, I am, and I always will be my father's son. I use his means for my ends — his code, the sacred wisdom he passed down to me when I was more than his child; I was his successor. The inheritor of a criminal empire, a multi-generational war against some inevitable, unfathomable other that kept him from peace, from sleep, from us. All I knew — all I had — was my conviction.
The last time I saw him was at my mother’s funeral.
He was different.
But I wouldn’t realize it until years later, when news of his death found me overlooking the Manhattan skyline. I learned of his journey, his regrets. More importantly, I learned of a boy he treated like a son — a boy who earned his eyes.
As if that weren’t enough, I was called by my nephew — all I had left of my two closest friends, both of whom lost their lives in this very city. His grandmother passed. 6 MONTH MISSIONS A practical suggestion to make things easier on everyone. PREMISE We should change monthly missions to match seasonal periods with a cap of 90,000 exp. (15k monthly cap x 6 months). REASON(S) Progression systems are a great incentive to get people posting and finishing threads — I would not want to get rid of it — but we should be mindful of our demographic. Between our careers, education, and other obligations, it can be difficult to navigate life, getting exp, and juggling our plots.I also think this would help with burnout. People can front-load missions in the beginning of the season if they’re planning something (e.g. vacation, weddings, etc) without getting ‘penalized.’ They can also play catch up when life takes someone out of commission for a little. More importantly, we’re no strangers to hyperfixation. I think it’s really cool when everyone gets together and starts posting like crazy bc we all free up. I think it’d be nice to reward the time and energy when it comes.

It was a great step forward from the easy/medium/hard system we had, and it might be the case that my previous suggestion alleviates the problem, but I do find myself prioritizing threatening missions in order to hit goals more efficiently. Considering how many threads end up dying (as is the nature of rp) we should refocus our incentives on finishing threads. It also lets people focus on character interactions and interpersonal relationships opposed to escalating to violence for system optimization.Group threads should have bigger payouts… The bigger the group, the less likely it is to finish. It’s a bigger time investment, therefore, a bigger incentive is needed. It demands less frequency in exchange for commitment. By rewarding larger threads with bigger bonuses, we also incentivize types of threads we don’t get a lot of now. Having different systems in place to reward different types of stories seems like a shift that’ll help us move in the direction we’re already moving in. I also think this helps juggle characters. The people who use most of their character slots tend to run the site because they have the largest investment, and time carved out specifically for it. With different ways of gaining exp, we can tell a story that fits the character best without having to feel the pressure to post in a specific way — just the pressure to post and complete threads, a pressure I’m all for keeping. uhh actually that’s enough yappin i’m eepy |

Once freed from their clutches, he rushed towards Momo when a siren's song led him astray. With an exchange of words, the mermaid's allure compelled his hands to her waist. The rest of their conversation was interrupted by lustful lips and a lapse of logic. It was then he knew what it was that he wanted. And it wasn't Momo.

The world is terrifying.
Danger lurks around every corner. It cannot be stopped, it is always coming, and all you can do is prepare for when it does. At a young age, he learned that if you are afraid, then you must act. It drove him into the hero institution — a legal means of acquiring strength and protecting his loved ones. He is loyal to the system because of what it does for him, but faithful to the people he loves because they are the people he loves.
Rahul chases strength and independence. If he is afraid then there is an opportunity to grow. A tactical retreat is better than inaction if you can’t solve the problem. Nothing is worse than doing nothing. Rahul overcompensates by taking unnecessary risks under a false mantra: “I can think my way out of this.”
He thrives under trust. Setting clear expectations and supporting him make him his compassionate, responsible self. If you overreact when he overreacts, change plans unexpectedly, or — worst of all — let him down, he’s prone to erraticism. Rahul becomes indecisive, bullish, and rigid in his thinking.
Unfortunately, he is suspicious of everything, especially people. People are prone to stealing your heart and running off with it. Sometimes worse.

- They were both in the hero industry but his mother retired when she had a child.
- Rahul grew up in New York, with a mother who desperately tried to teach him what little she knew of her culture. His father dedicated his sparse free time to familial adventures.

- Rahul’s home is caught in the crossfire. His mother does what she can to hold off Balor, instructing Rahul to call his father. He freezes up and she dies for it.

- Rahul’s taken in by his father’s best friend.
- An otherwise uneventful era.
- Rahul blames himself for his parent’s death and doesn’t think himself deserving of friends until he can protect those he cares about.
- Despite this, he develops a few romantic relationships that inevitably fall apart. No one knows what happened but his eyes glisten when he reminisces.
- Instead, he trains at his father’s old hero agency, courtesy of his guardian.
- When he reaches adulthood he turns down an internship at his father’s old agency. Everyone is confused considering his efforts, but he wants to attend university.
- His father’s best friend gave him a spiel about following in his father’s footsteps. He knows he feels guilty and the only way to feel better is by saving people. But Rahul can’t stomach the thought of letting another person die.
- After his first year, he decides to get a job. He strikes a deal at the agency. He’ll intern but he’s sticking to paperwork. They agree but they aren’t interested in hiding their ulterior motives.
- During his second year, he gets news of his Abuelo’s passing. He passed peacefully in sleep, leaving Rahul’s Abuela alone in Japan.
- With a newfound perspective, he transfers to a hero university part-time courtesy of his agency’s sponsor as he works a full-time job to subsidize Abuela’s lifestyle.
- After receiving his associate's, he officially became a sidekick for the agency through one of the university’s programs to get on-the-field experience.
- After two years he saved up enough money, and earned enough credits, to transfer to UAU and move to Japan.

» GauntletTanaki Yagi is Rahul's adoptive guardian and Sunil's best friend. He owns Heavy Hands Hero agency where Harecules worked until his untimely passing. His fist saps people's strength and makes it his own, temporarily making opponents lanky and thin. Taught Rahul how to fight.
» AbuelaCamila De La Cruz Calderón is Rahul's grandmother and Carmen's mother. She is quirkless and spent most of her life running the house and raising her children. Sold home-made crafts in her spare time as a source of extra income and a passion project. Keeps her late husband's final craft on her nightstand next to a photo of him.

Danger lurks around every corner. It cannot be stopped, it is always coming, and all you can do is prepare for when it does. At a young age, he learned that if you are afraid, then you must act. Kei wished to be as amazing as he was. He doubled down on his studies in middle and high school. Despite his weak quirk and small stature and tinkering nature, despite all the people who didn't believe him, what mattered most was having the knowledge and intuition that would get him in the hero department in university. At the end of the day, it was the instructors who had the final say on whether he was good enough. Kei's priorities changed when his class was attacked during a field trip. They were trapped; surrounded by monsters crafted by the villain holding them hostage. One closed in on them and Kei, in fear and desperation, placed his hands on the enemy and pushed his quirk as hard as he could. After the event, he realized he didn't want to become a hero after all. But he still wanted to help somehow. So his focus shifted to gear instead, fine-tuning his craftsmanship into something he could take pride in with extracurriculars and online courses. He was able to enrol in Japan's most prestigious university anyway. Kei’s quirk allows him to regenerate liquids and fine grains using his hands. This ability, while simple, has many applications: refilling a glass of water, topping up a fuel tank, unlimited milk, you get the gist. His quirk works fastest with direct contact with the substance, and weakens the farther his hands are from the source. With concentration, Kei can even use his quirk on a source from a distance so long as he's touching something that makes contact with it. This began with holding a glass to refill the drink inside, but his power has grown to the point where he can use nearby puddles to flood an area by touching the ground beneath his feet. As a side-effect, he can sense the components a substance is made of once he makes a closed connection with it. Due to this ability, Kei can target these specific parts instead of the substance as a whole. In this way he can bypass the drawback of requiring exposure to the substance to replicate it at the cost of its integrity. [attr="class","ability-title"] [attr="class","ability-name"]DRAWBACKS He can only duplicate what's existing, and he uses more of his energy the thicker the substance is. His Quirk eats at his blood sugar so overuse results in symptoms of hypoglycaemia like lightheadedness, fatigue, and anxiety. Direct exposure to the substance is mandatory if he hasn't encountered it before, so he can't duplicate dangerous substances like acids and toxins without risking his own life. Sensory overload is also an issue when he can sense everything connected to the surface he's touching; concentrating on what to use his Quirk on and what to avoid can overwhelm him if he's not careful. When he possesses his corpse, two flames appear where his irises would have been — an involuntary sign that he's home. Can't even pretend to sleep because everyone will be knockin' on the side of your dumpster asking for spare change. Lastly, his voice is deep and gravelly. While the rest of him hasn't changed since he was five, his voice continued to change with his age. Maybe, it's a reflection of his inner identity. Maybe, it's because his bones are old. He was born to a homeless woman who didn't want him but couldn't afford to get the morning-after pill, let alone an abortion. She didn't know who the father was. Life was a messy, drugged-up blur. And had she thought the baby was alive when it was 'born' she might have felt bad about the affair. Instead, she didn't know and she didn't feel anything until the very end.
No one ever found Hugh. No human found him. He was raised by rodents and treated like one of their own. Keep in mind, this was before quirks — there was a series of miracles that led him to be fed and free of disease. The lifestyle would eventually wear on his body. Once he turned five, he met his cold, bitter end in the same dumpster he was thrown in.
And then he came back.
He looked at his body from a third-person view, not questioning what had happened, and simply stepped back into it. This time, he woke up all bones. It'd take a few years for him to learn about quirks and how the world changed. It was a dramatic shift. Apparently. But to him it was the same old same old. A lesson he quickly learned was that even if the world is flipped upside down, no one is going to take care of you but yourself.
With age came wisdom. Hugh moved beyond his selfish individualism and opted to change the world in the ways he could — one stomach at a time. He's a modern-day, undead Robin Hood.

By possessing his own dead body, he's able to interact with the world gaining touch, smell, and taste. - As a spirit, Hugh can still be perceived by other people's senses.

- Hugh cannot pass through salt. A box or jar filled with salt is perfect for containing him.

The first step was killing his classmates.
They were all part of a psyop, a plan to brainwash Oliver into mundanity. They had already worn his mind, body, and soul. Until The Captain, he truly believed he wasn’t a hero.
It didn’t take long to prove him wrong. One by one his classmates fell. And with tears in his eyes, Oliver begged their corpses for forgiveness.
They didn’t respond.
He was only consoled by the voice of a mushroom lingering on his shoulder. The one who warned him of the future and the steps it took to change it.
