Yasashi is as his namesake, Kind. Gregarious and lighthearted to a fault. He comes across as somewhere between focused and utterly impouslive. A good hearted man who enjoys a good laugh, a hearty meal, and a great story. At the same time he can be horribly self-deprecating. He has been known to chastise himself for days over small mistakes in order to prevent himself from ever making them again. He often pretends to be either aloof or foolish, given his tremendous size he also takes to pretending to be a brute. This usually gives him an advantage when he reveals his keen intellect.
Yasashi is notoriously boisterous and loud, greeting people with a hard slap on the back and a jaunty attitude. He loves just sitting with people and listening to them, wanting to get to know everyone he meets. He firmly believes in the good in people and cherishes life deeply, he finds violence to be absolutely tragic. On the flip side, contests of strength and skill are something he embraces wholeheartedly. He loves pranks and tricks, enjoying little moments of humor now and then to ease the tension.
Yasashi has a love of dancing, books (particularly romance novels), and fishing and actually dislikes doing schoolwork very much. He has a history of sneaking out to go fishing.
All of this is hampered by the severe weight of responsibility thrust upon him by his family. Being part of one of the first Pro-Hero dynasties, he has enormous weight on his shoulders. On top of that, his quirk is nothing short of frightening and he has a complex over his quirk being described as a villain's quirk to him as a child.
All that said, a quote;
"There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man." - Patrick Rothfuss

» WEIGHT: 466 Lbs
» EYE COLOR: Ice Blue
» HAIR COLOR: Blonde
» SKIN COLOR: Tan
» FACE CLAIM NAME: Ira Gamagoori (Usual) King Hassan (Hero Armor)

Yasashi is a mountain of a person, heavily muscled and standing over two meters tall. His blonde hair is always cropped short in a military flat-top cut. He has glacier blue eyes, which people often describe as haunting or intimidating despite his obvious good nature. His skin is covered in scar tissue from defeats he experienced as a youth. Zera commonly wears loose fitting outfits and tunics prefering comfort over stuffiness. His distaste for high class clothing goes as far as his large collection of fun and stylish sandals.

Taka Otsuri was one of the very first vigilantes to appear after the dawn of Quirks. Her son, Taka Seizo became a vigilante after her, becoming one of the first generation pro-heroes. His daughter, Taka Kimiko, inherited his role. Three generations of powerful quirk users resulting in the Chivalric Hero; Aegis. Her unbreakable bonds with her allies and her incredible strength made her a figure in Hero Society for a time, a memorable face. She eventually married a relatively unknown man who took on her last name; Minoru. Unbeknownst to many, Taka Minoru is actually the ex-Villain, Wight, a career criminal who defected from villain society to be with the love of his life. It was through their union that the fourth generation of the Taka dynasty was born. Taka Yasashi.
Yasashi was born bigger than most kids, and grew rapidly in childhood. He was often mistaken for being significantly older than he actually was, resulting in a great deal of difficulty for him as people treated his age appropriate behavior as stupidity or foolishness. His mother relentlessy trained him as a child while his father did his best to instill positive core values into him. He developed a bit of a resentment towards his mother, but ultimately caved under the pressure to start working towards enrolling in UA. Kimiko (Aegis) was insistant that her son graduate from the school she helped secure a future for.
Yasashi developed his quirk late, largely stunted by his fear of failure, and when it finally manifested it terrified those near him. Children ran away crying and he was actually asked to leave his classroom for a time until he could get it under control. This created a complex in Yasashi. He became terrified of his own quirk, and would often go out of his way to avoid using it. Because of his unusual physiology, he eventually started pretending that he only had an enhanced strength quirk.
It was with all this weight on his shoulders that he arrived at UA. Not guided by his mother, she was busy with her work. But escorted by the family maid. He had never wondered why his father never appeared in public until that day, and now he would have a harder time asking...

QUIRK NAME: Antipaladin
QUIRK RANK: B+
QUIRK TYPE: Emitter
QUIRK DESCRIPTION:
In stark contrast to his mother's 'Chivalric Brand' quirk. Yasashi's quirk does little in the way of inspiring hope and joy in others. Antipaladin is, in short, frightening. The name Antipaladin was given after the original name for the quirk 'Lord Draugr' was considered to be a blatant riff on Villain quirks and just too unpleasant sounding for a young hero-in-training.
It allows Yasashi to create, manipulate, broadcast, and shape a bone-like material that has self-healing properties and remarkable endurance (based on the quirk rank). The greatest application of the quirk comes in the crafting and animation of semi-autonomous golems. The golems (and other jointed constructs) appear to be held together with some manner of blue-black flame. As the quirk grows stronger the bones have begun to darken, currently they are a dark grey color after years and years of training under his mother. His doctors have told him that his unusual size and natural body mass come from the fact that his quirk has made his bones 'perfect'.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS:
Quirks that cause rotting or deconstruction of organic materials can render the bones down quickly, weakening the denser armor that he creates and even disintegrating smaller structures. Yasashi depends on his own bone density to act as a sort of fuel for his quirk, the more he utilizes it the weaker he becomes. While this can take a while, it will eventually happen if he does a lot of big things quickly. Only increasing the power of his quirk through training will increase this limit. It should also be noted that the bones require a solid surface to appear, either Yasashi's body or a nearby object that is connected in some way to where he is standing. His bones cannot appear out of open water or air.
