[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]"Not to rush you or anything Emi~chan but the robbers are still out here and if you don't disarm that bomb neither of us are making it out of here alive" The golden boi shouted from the doorway of the vault as he grabbed another bank robber foolish enough to try and take him on. The goblin-like man struggled in his grip as he hoisted to poor villain up into the air before slamming him back into the ground with a thunderous *CRACK*. Once the dude was rendered unconscious he yeeted the goblin back at his friends before turning his attention back at Emillia. "If you'd've listened to me we could be eating Gyudon right now but NO we had to do it your way this time."

The whole insane scenario started out as just a simple patrol. Zen and Emilia had once again been paired up to be sent out into the streets of Tokyo to practice what it felt like to be out on patrol and stop any low level villains mucking about in the daytime. Once again Zenkai tried to convince his much shorter friend that they'd be better off grabbing food and letting trouble find them, like last time. But NOOOOOOOOO Emilia wouldn't have it, she insisted on doing it her way since they did it his way last time. It was a childish reason but one he could find no fault in so, they went out on patrol on their regular route.

Everything had been going fine...For like ten minutes until Zenkai got so bored he started pestering Emilia about her decision to take the boring route. It didn't take long after that for the sapphire-eyed titan to eat his words as they both head a scream coming from inside the bank they were walking by. About two minutes of barging their way through all the pathetic robbers they were met with a bomb that was meant to blow the vault open but looked like it would take down the whole building instead. Thus began the duo's task of simultaneously disarming a bomb and fighting off bad guys all because Emilia was just too damn earnest to play hooky again.

"I don't know who told you I could disarm a bomb, but you're not helping!" she shot back, unwilling to put up with his nonsense. How they ended up together again was even more concerning to her than the situation they were put into. Both had gotten slightly reprimanded for their last adventure, only being saved because they actively kept civilians safe from a rampaging criminal. The bomb set up was chained to the vault door and contained in a small briefcase. It would typically be easy enough to smash it, but there was always a chance the bomb would go off if she were too rough with it. This left her with the option of trying to break the chain to at least get the bomb out of the building. "Are the police coming??" she shouted as Zen had been left to crowd control and from where she was, she couldn't see if they had arrived yet. Placing her feet against the vault door, she tugged hard, only for the chain to slip out of her hands as she fell on her back with a loud THUD. "Ow..." rubbing the back of her head, she would stand back up and try again. Talk about a race against the clock with this one.

[attr="class","ZenkaiExposition"]Zenkai looked back at their partner as she yelled back at him before fumbling with the bomb and falling over. To be fair, she had a good point. Neither of them had been trained to disarm a bomb…yet? Was there even a class for bomb disarming? Either way Emilia was just as clueless as Zenkai was so it was probably a bit unfair to put it all on her. Still, she did cause them to be in the situation they were in and there was no convincing Zenkai otherwise.

"I'd fucking hope so! I feel like these guys aren't smart enough to not trip the alarm." Zenkai ducked down as a few bullets hit the was above him. "But they're definitely not going to get here fast enough to deal with the bomb." The titan grabbed a nearby chair before yeeting it at the gunman, bowling him over with the piece of furniture and silencing the deadly weapon. "If you can't figure it out, just punch a whole in the wall and we'll throw it up into the air at the last second like every action movie ever" The golden boi was sure that Emilia didn't need any instructions from him to know what to do but the intensity of the situation brought forth his desire to be as clear as possible.

The monkey let out a groan as he turned his attention back to the so-call bank robber. Hopefully Emilia wouldn't need help with her task, the bank robbers, while stupid, were proving to be pretty resilient. No matter how many times he hit them they would just get back up and come at him once more, regardless of if their lives were actually at stake as the bombs timer ticked down slowly.

The ticking clock just served to make Emi more irritated than anxious at the situation they were in. A routine patrol that ended up with them in a chaotic situation again, and Zen's constant 'I told you so' attitude about it was just fueling her irritation. "Dang it" Emi said aloud as she continued to pull on the chain, making a bit of progress before she was hit with a stray bullet in the back "OW" she cried out with her extra toughness allowing her to not deal with bullet wounds. It still hurt like hell though and this broke her concentration for a bit. "Can you please at least take care of the guys with guns? I'm bulletproof, not damage-proof!" She would continue to pull on the chain until it finally broke, and she almost tumbled over again. Step one is complete! Now she just had a bomb on a chain...

"Are you stupid???" she called out to Zen as she pushed against the vault and the surrounding walls. "I can't break through something like this!" it was true; usually, the vaults at banks were reinforced to prevent people from getting in. Emi may have been strong, but she wasn't that strong. Instead, she headed in his direction but opted to stand behind him for the time being to prevent a stray bullet from triggering the bomb. She was pretty certain she would survive the explosion, but god, it would hurt bad. "We have to go out the front!" The tossing of the bomb was absolutely possible, and honestly? It was the best shot they had.

Zen had gotten shot before and it had indeed hurt like a bunch, unlike Emilia he wasn't bulletproof, bullet resistant, yes but not fully bullet proof yet. The golden boi rolled his eyes as a grin spread across his lips. Even if there was a distinct possibility that the two of them could both perish in a fiery explosion in the next few minutes, it was still pretty funny that the two of them could argue like this. Well… it was funny to Zen, he couldn't say the same about his panicked companion as she ripped the bomb from its chains after failing to even attempt to disarm it. To be fair to Emilia, getting shot at was a great motivator in getting shit done.

"I meant the wall not the vault itself! You think I don't know that?" The titan groaned as he looked at the bankrobbers in front of him. "GOD, Always have to do it the hard way don't you?" The titan grinned as he teased his partner. It certainly was a tall order, breaking through everyone and getting out the front but it was a plan Zenkai could vibe with. It would at least be interesting to see if they could get out in time to save the day. If they didn't… well, they wouldn't have to worry about that now would they?

"Alright superstar, I'll clear the way, you just punch anyone that I miss." Zenkai ordered before he charged at the nearest robber, grabbing the poor lad before throwing him into the gunman that had just started to recover.

Trying to disarm a bomb was one thing but carrying a bomb through a bank filled with armed robbers? Talk about a whole new level of pressure! Still Emi knew that Zen wasn't bad in a fight and had some skill in martial arts compared to her. At least that's what he told her previously which...who knew if it was the truth?

Regardless she couldn't argue that their only way was through. Hugging the case to her chest as she didn't want to get hit by any spray bullets, and she wasn't entirely sure that Zen wouldn't die if this bomb went off. The only thing worse that she could think of then letting this detonate in the building was getting another student killed. As they charged through Zen did exactly as he said he would taking care of the majority while she trailed behind. She would take advantage of the chaos and stay low, putting herself out of harm's way. One of the men was up high and so she tugged on Zen's shirt before handing the bomb to him "Trade for a second!" she would leap up to the taller man and throw a mean punch strong enough to incapacitate him.

While it wasn't exactly what he planned to do on his Thursday afternoon, Zenkai couldn't help but admit that saving the day by yeeting the bomb far, far away was pretty fun. They could have done without the whole resistance from the robbers, especially after they felt a bullet enter the back of their shoulder. Yep, being shot still really sucked and they would be glad when they no longer had to deal with all the bullets coming at them.

The sapphire-eyed titan had just finished punching the teeth out of one poor unfortunately robber when the bomb was tossed to them. "What do you want me to do with it!?" Zenkai snapped back as Emilia dashed off to deal with one of the villains that was stationed hire up. Zenkai knew that they had to get the bomb to safety but they also had to beat their way to safety which left only one option.

Dashing forward the monkey king raised the bomb high in the air before bashing it right into the face of one of the masked men before bowling him over as he charged towards the door. "Hey, this thing makes a pretty effective weapon!" The titan shouted out to Emilia with a grin, knowing full well he could have blown everyone up if the exterior wasn't so strong.

"You can figure it out!" she snapped back only to peer over the railing of the upper level to see Zen using the freaking bomb as a weapon "NOT like that! You're going to get yourself killed!" Before, she was uncertain that the bomb going off would kill her, but from this distance, all it would do was kill her partner.

Emi leaped off the top railing, slowing her descent as she landed with a firm crack on the ground, the extra weight making her landing less than graceful. At this point, they were close enough to the door that Emi would charge forward, not wanting to worry about trying to fiddle with it, and crossed her arms to charge through. The glass and metal warped as she pushed through, unconcerned of herself or the collateral damage as the bomb would cause so much more if left unchecked. From there, she would leap as high as she could into the air and with her hands up she would turn back towards Zen. "Throw it! I'll pitch it higher!"

Zenkai huffed as he darted after Emilia "Honestly, if you didn't want me using it as a weapon you shouldn't have given it to me in the first place!" They grinned from ear to ear as they complained to their partner. It was a dangerous risk to use the bomb as a weapon but still, it was pretty fun to do it, and the fact that annoyed Emilia made it all the more entertaining.

Zenkai had to admit that Emilia wasn't so bad though as she barreled through the front doors of the Bank in a move very reminiscent of the one he used with Kei to get them out of that damned Ikea. As soon as the pair made it outside, Emilia launched herself in the air before demanding the bomb. "Here you go super star" The monkey king shouted as he launched the bomb up to his partner "Go on! Save the day!"

Emi was still annoyed at how light her partner was taking this tense situation. Still, there was a bit of this that she couldn't help but envy. She was still dealing with being confident and trying to be a hero people could depend on. This meant that she couldn't be rattled in the face of danger...or at least she couldn't let others know how rattled she was.

Hanging in the air as she slowly descended, she watched as Zen pitched up the briefcase with his full strength. She would reach for it, almost missing it entirely, which would have been disastrous. Instead, gripping the case hard enough to make it crack and throwing it even higher, the combination of their 1-2 maneuver made the bomb clear the buildings before it exploded, the force sending Emilia down faster than she expected, and she would land on her butt. With the adrenaline wearing off, she could feel her hands shaking, and she could finally breathe.
