Emi's newfound confidence could only take her so far. It was much easier said than done and while she was able to steady herself enough to start the plan that Jun proposed she was definitely more scared when it came to the actual execution. Nonetheless it seemed to have worked and all the while she couldn't tell if it was Jun or her that was shaking. She would use the opportunity Jun provided to climb inside the train as well, exhaling deeply as she didn't realize she had been holding her breath the whole time.

It seemed like this was much harder on Jun who Emi thought had strained herself in making that cannon for the two of them as she had never seen her make something so big in their time working together. "There's no point in rushing if you need to catch your breath. That's what the teachers say! You can't save anyone if you can't save yourself" or at least that's what she was told after she had sacrificed herself to save someone from The Rumbling Golem. It was a lesson she took to heart after realizing how many people visited her during her hospital stay. Extending a hand to help Jun up, "We can do this! I'll carry you if you need more time that's what teammates are for!"

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Time. Time was running out, and a 30-40 minute journey on foot was going to be...what? Five minutes for the train? She straightened herself out, holding a hand up as she took a few deep breaths. "It's fine, I'm fine, just...I don't take to people touch very well..." she says, trailing off and looking away. "Just...just need a moment. Uh. Engine, we're near the front of the train. We need to shut the engine off." Her nerves were still aflame, but she couldn't focus on that right now. If they didn't do anything soon, then the whole thing would hit that hole and there was no telling how many injuries there would be if that happened. Speaking of, if the pair looked back there would be several surprised passengers in the car back that would be surprised at their entrance, one of them an older man in a subway uniform tentatively approaching. "Um, excuse me...we tried to stop the train, and the controls are unresponsive." Jun looked over, and if her face could get any paler she could be mistaken for a ghost. "Well...uh. Lodestar, any ideas?" Emilia Hall

Things were getting very real very fast and Emi was started to feel her anxiety well up. There was only so much postering one could do without eventually running out of steam and it seemed like Jun was also feeling the pressure. The sight of other people gathered on the train also made her pale as she delved into some flashbacks of the destruction during The Rumbling.

Frozen in place it took a few tries to snap her out of her stupor. No matter what the baggage was, she was in the hero courses, and if there were lives to safe she'd throw herself into the line of fire over and over again! "I think..." she knew the answer but couldn't and wouldn't do it alone this time "I need to stop the train from the front. I'm tough enough that I won't be crushed I just need a foothold to not touch the shock rail." she hoped that Jun could make something to keep her from touching the line and if she agreed she could handle the rest. It was a long shot, but they really didn't have any other options.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... It was a longshot, but looking around and looking at the people behind them she nodded. "Okay...everyone, back!" Jun raised her voice, moving forward as she looked around for the crack; the point where the engine car connected with the rest of the subway. I wish I knew more about these things, to better disconnect the cars, but...we all can't get what we want. Not finding what she wanted, she figured the best course of action was to strike in the logical place, right in the middle where the two cars were joined. "We're going to need to separate the engine from the rest of the train, if we don't you'll be fighting both the sub's inertia and powerplant. I don't like the idea of you being out there in front, but...be careful. Just don't lock your knees, even with your quirk the force- you know, I'm just going to stop talking." She didn't want to continue that train of thought with that imagery in her head. Channeling her inner anger she created the embodiment of Mjolnir itself, sending it straight down. The force was enough to disconnect the engine with a loud THUD, the front car beginning to slowly peel away to give Emi a gap. Without skipping a beat Jun latched onto her fear and wrapped several around Emi, just so she had a little support once she ventured out. "We have at least three minutes to slow down, let me know if you want an anchor or something to help slow this down! -And don't hurt yourself!" Emilia Hall

even if Jun was nervous Emi was still impressed by her ability to rally quickly and command a room. It was something she needed to work on; after they dealt with the problem at hand. Emi would take a step back to give Jun some breathing room to break the engine away from the rest of the train. Thank god suggested that or Emi would have just gone to stop the train from the front.

Once it was free, she would watch as the front car moved away from the rest of the train. 'Three Minutes' Emi thought to herself wondering if she really could do this or if she'd just end up being crushed. "No worries, I got this!" If she said it aloud it would become true, right? After being secure Emi would waste no time activating her quirk and the leapt over the gap, slowly descending before she'd touch down immediately feeling the force of the inertia on her body. Her feet digging in as she flexed her muscles as much as she could trying her best to slow down the train as much as possible. There were innocents to be saved and this resulted in another burst of energy as she gritted her teeth and the production of the cosmic energy from her to increase in turn. She had to make it no matter what happened!

That was probably the reason why they nearly fell short out of the cannon. It didn't matter though, Jun would just create a few more chains that would latch onto the structure of the train in order to keep Emi stable. Of course, if she had taken half a second to use her winches before setting off on this then the force distributed would be a lot easier on her. The lurch that the train underwent as Emi began to put on the brake nearly threw Jun off her game, but half a second later tension would go back into the chains. The last thing she wanted or needed was for Emi to get stuck underneath several tons of steel; she had grown fond of her kohai and didn't want to see anything bad happen to her. That said, as Jun looked up and saw the long stretch of tunnel (with the engine gaining more and more distance between them) she noticed just how different things looked when there was actual light. Things were progress fairly smoothly, they were slowing down, everything was going to be fine- Some five hundred feet in front of them the engine would disappear, falling down into the hole that the pair had discovered earlier. Jun's heart sank; how long had it been? Thirty seconds? Was her time wrong?! It didn't matter, this was not good and they needed to do something else they'd be next. "Everyone, hang on! Emi, hard brake! HARD BRAKE!" Emilia Hall

Emi had originally braced herself for a much heavier impact than what she received. Yes the train, with the momentum, was definitely pushing her along, but she was able to shift her weight enough that she had wasn't at risk of being run over. Her heels scrapped against the tracks as she dug them in further, emanating copious amounts of irradiated energy as she dug into her reserves to give herself the much-needed boost.

Jun's sudden urgency when it came to making the train stop just meant that they were running out of time. So, she gritted her teeth and gripped the metal hard enough that it warped. This wasn't going to be like last time, she wasn't going to fall!

The energy surrounding her flared up and her eyes would do something they hadn't before with her pupils shifting into the same star shape that was on the dorsal side of each hand. They would glow brightly with the colors of the cosmos and her battle against the train was coming to an end. The extra energy made her feel exhausted but it did increase her strength even further than before.

"Jun brace yourself I'm gonna give it one last big push!" The hole that would doom the majority onboard couldn't have been more than a hundred feet away and Emi was sure that with Jun's help she could stop it. She wouldn't fail, not this time!

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... Jun held on tight, ensuring that Emi had sufficient support as she slammed on the brakes, every part of the train vibrating. Cars clapped into one another, a few odd wheels would derail, but as Emi dug in and pushed back the train would slow down considerably, stopping just shy of the hole. Jun would fall backwards, maintaining the chains in order to keep her partner in arms upright. "Alright...you okay?" Despite the fact that Jun wasn't the one holding up several tons of steel and people, she felt exhausted. To make matters worse the assignment still wasn't completed, but...well, the hard part was over. Right? Had to be over. Getting back up she'd pull on the chains, intending to get Emi back on the car. "Nice job. That...I wasn't expecting to do all that, but uh. We did it!" She held up her hand, giving a thumbs up. "Only downside is we're down an engine, but uh. I think for having to think fast we did good. Let's get everyone back, yeah?" Emilia Hall

Just in time! Emi would finally relax, climbing into the car and falling on the ground. That was exhausting! The irradiated vapor would start to dissipate and her eyes would return to their normal color. She'd flash Jun a big smile and give a thumbs up in return "Yeah! I think we can call this one a win!" she'd take a moment to catch her breath before rising to her feet. "Yeah, I'm honestly super exhausted! I'm ready to go back whenever you are." she'd face the group of people who were now waving and cheering at the two of them. Emi was truly relieved that this time things went well! Maybe she could do this hero thing after all?
