[attr="class","sixShpost"]heheMr. Earth was not so Mr. Invicible, as it had once appeared. No, in conjunction with his classmate's efforts — had Shion always had access to such explosives? — they had managed to wound the creature. Visibly so. Though he'd figured the steam before to have been a sign of success, or at least of greater machinations at play, tangible evidence stared him directly in the eye.
[break][break]
heheOr, he supposed, the titan more accurately bore down upon the land-based combatants.
[break][break]
heheClaudio's eyes shot wide, his mouth staring agape at the suddenly announced menace. He'd anticipated the creature — machine? he wasn't sure — to fight back at some point, but he'd hope, when that time came, it would take a focus on him. As far as he saw it, and however right he may be, he was the one least likely to be seriously injured by this calamity.
[break][break]
heheBut, in the destruction of the monster's wake, so too was another student crushed beneath its wrath.
[break][break]
heheClaudio's eyes darted about the scene. His characteristic grin, though apparent, had dimmed from what it once was, now overtaken by an intense focus. His partner in the air — his "wingman," if you will — was already on the move, from what he could tell of his sudden appearance higher in the air. Had he launched himself further above? Whatever the case, Claudio assumed the smaller golems had their attention stolen by the witch, and, even if they weren't, he wasn't too alarmed if they came after him first.
[break][break]
heheNo, as the colossal figure aimed to rain upon Elijah, the cloud instead shot his arms forward, his skin stretching through the air as he attempted to reach the giant's knuckles. With all he had, he attempted to hold back the thrown fist, using every particle at his disposal to at least slow the descent.
[break][break]
hehe"I'm fine on firepowe'!" he'd shout, a majority of his attention going towards his pull, "Help yo'rself, broomshtick; jusht try not to blow me up too!"
[break][break]
heheHis eyes flicked to his knife-wielding companion, gritting the teeth in his grin. He'd have rather it look more cheerful than strained. "Heally wouldn't hecommend standing the'e! Not to ba'k o'dersh o' anything, but pleaze move!"

Lodestar. It still didn't ring a bell but at least he had a name to attach to the face. That was all he would get from the girl before she sped off to save another civilian from harm. And what did she get for such bravery? Absolutely crushed. Elijah was reminded then of the reality of heroism. Everyone who had chosen to stay were risking their lives. Many have lost it, just like the young hero-in-training. But he had no time to grieve. No one did, not when imminent danger was still present and someone was flying towards him. At the last second he dropped his knives before the collision, wrapping his arms around the person as they tumbled on the ground. When they came to a stop he pushed himself up with a hiss. "Are you okay?" He got a feeble nod in return, and he had to accept that in the moment. Especially when the danger increased with the titan stating its intentions. Elijah turned his head when he heard his nickname - which of course it was, who else around him had dreads? - and his eyes grew wide when he pieced together what the biker was throwing at him. With precision he had to muster so they don't get blown up, he stood and caught the bombs, making sure that none of them got closer to the civilian. "Thanks," came his reply, intended sarcasm lost and replaced with stress. The amount of things he had to keep track of was starting to get to him. He was so focused on the bombs that he didn't see the golem readying its punch until Claudio called out his order. Another hiss escaped him once he registered the next threat. Pocketing the explosives, Elijah forcefully yanked the civilian by the arm and pushed them forward, uncaring of their discomfort when death was the alternative. "You heard him! Move!" And move they did, pure adrenaline carrying them both as they tried to escape the incoming strike. But as the area around them grew dark, he came to another realization. They're not going to make it out are they? Not at the pace they're making. Elijah went through his options in seconds. If he did nothing, both of them would be crushed and two more lives would be lost that day despite the others' best efforts. If he caught up to the citizen and pushed them, they'll survive while he gave himself the same fate as Lodestar. There was also a third option. He glanced up again as Claudio stretched his arms out to grip the golem's, to slow its attack if not stop it altogether. He swallowed. He won't let him regret that decision. Placing his hands firmly on the other person's back, Elijah gave them a shove that would clear the rest of the distance. He then skidded to a stop, turned around and raised his hand. The last thing he felt was the cool sensation of metal before the fist slammed down.
OOC: Elijah caught the civilian Emilia threw as well as Retsu's bombs before heeding Claudio's warning. As he and the civilian ran out of the golem's area of attack, he pushed the civilian the rest of the way before taking his own means of escape. ▲ Emi's world went completely dark Not that she ever expected herself to be able to hold the giant back. She had offered minimal resistance before being pushed into the ground and into the concrete below, only alive because of her quirks physical reinforcement. She was injured, though, perhaps a cracked rib and could feel warm liquid on her forehead. Slowly opening her left eye, she tried to get a sense of her surroundings with the pressure being applied from the golem rendering her unable to speak and only barely breathe under these conditions. The dirt and rubble from the golem's massive step made her visibility almost nigh. 'I'm alive for now but...' she could feel tears welling up 'when he takes another step, I'm gonna die' not the brightest student but she knew how this worked and when the rumbling golem took a step all of its weight would bear down on Emi and she would really die. In these moments, she realized she wasn't afraid of dying; it was always possible when she chose this path. This was something her parents made abundantly clear to her. She was sad about leaving her friends and family behind and unable to say any final words. She did give her life away to save someone else, and there was something really comforting in that. Her breaths would get more shallow as her vision started to blur again. Closing her eyes, all she hoped was that the others would be okay and tha- 'A light?'She opened her eyes once again, her vision becoming clearer as colors came into view. Her senses became even sharper as she realized she wasn't heading toward the light of the next world, she was looking at her hair. From what she could tell the only unusual part about her hair was the pink tips which was something she had always thought was related to her mutation. A moment later, she found herself illuminated in blue, her cosmic radiation aura pouring out more intensely than she had ever seen. The sensation was all-encompassing; she could feel her heart pound against her chest wall, and the pain that had spread throughout her body began to dull - even her wounds stopped bleeding. Then, a burst of energy, with increased alertness that made her snap back into reality. 'Not gonna die here. You're NOT gonna die here!' she thought to herself as she began to strain against the foot of the golem, surprisingly feeling not nearly as much resistance as she did before. The subtle upward movement of the foot let her energy leave the enclosed space as it shot out from around the golem's foot, clearly visible to anyone who was paying attention. Emi, with a newfound resolve from this rush, pushed harder, able to get enough leverage to push up onto her knees and crossed forearms to place them against the giant foot. It was clear that she had been bleeding now that she could see the imprint of herself on the ground. This time, she wasn't going to stop until she was free. Bracing herself, she pushed as her strength continued to rise, completely surpassing what she had thought to be capable of. After what felt like an agonizing period, she had pushed up enough to place one foot on the ground and gritted her teeth, putting herself in a position for one final push. She couldn't even hear her voice as she felt herself screaming, finally making a decisive motion, and she threw all her weight into it and threw the golem off of herself, toppling the monster even if it was just temporarily. The irradiated aura enveloped her was at least four times her size as she panted, trying to catch her breath. She would fall to one knee moments later as she clutched her side, feeling the strain from whatever this was for a moment before she would push back up to her feet and try to make sense of the battlefield. Hopefully, no one else was killed, or she'd never forgive herself. Tl;dr Emi is alive, powers up, and then manages to push the golem off of her, causing it to potentially fall down. Narrative-related adrenaline rush powerup achieved! MADE BY VEL OF GS

The smaller golems got into position as Toto dove towards them, just as they had anticipated there was an attack coming from above, only they found themselves majorly bamboozled by Shion’s maneuver and unable to defend themselves against Retsu’s grenade because of it. With its pawns turned into dust, the giant golem pressed on, unflinching but now much more aggressive in its approach as it attempted to flatten Elijah and the civilians, as Retsu had managed to escape its hand already.
Claudio coming down to pull against the golem’s hand was admirable, slowing it for just a second. It wasn’t much, but on the field of battle it could be the difference between life and death and it very well may have been in this scenario. However, as Elijah pushed the civilians out of the way, inevitably, the boy disappeared as the hand slammed down on top of him.
Were there two dead already?
…
Under the layer of armor which Elijah had now melded with, holes dotted the next layer of the golem’s body. There were hundreds, too many to count in the darkness, but perhaps most critically, something was lurking in the darkness.
He was not alone.
Something was looking back.
It stared him down like the intruder that he was. The one who was supposed to get squished under their next attack, the one that got away. The one inside the golem prepared a countermeasure to flush out the intruding Elijah, but before they could, the entire golem began to shake from beneath as Emi fought tooth and nail to get back out from under its foot. She was successful, so much so that she ended up tipping the golem over onto its back, the ground shaking violently as the 30 foot monstrosity fell, more of its armor crumbling away from the blow. The giant was slow, struggling to get back onto its feet. Around it, smaller golems came to the rescue, six in total crawling out of the ground, two each attacking Claudio, Retsu and the now injured Emi.
The small golems were trying their best to cover for the unexpected turn of events, but would they be fast enough to prevent their enemies from taking advantage of the Boss’s current position?
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR: The two small golems are successfully tricked by Shion and Toto, Claudio manages to slow the Boss’s hand before it can squish Elijah and the civilians. Elijah melds with the giant golem’s hand and feels something staring back at him in the darkness. He also sees that the golem is covered in hundreds of holes under its layer of armor. Emi escapes certain death and tips the giant golem over in a plus ultra moment! As the giant struggles to get back up it is extra vulnerable. Six more small golems spawn to attack Claudio, Retsu and Emi and to try and turn the tide of battle once more.

As she flew through the air Retsu wondered where exactly she'd gone wrong. She could see the world around her in slow motion as adrenaline sped up her perception and everything was pointing to one single conclusion. She was gonna come down hard and it wasn't going to be pretty. Her sped up thoughts did give her a lot of time to consider things however and almost unbidden her mind went over the events of the past few seconds. Plans never survive first contact. Sure, getting behind the golem so it wouldn't be able to attack her was nice and all but a single, very important factor was missing from the equation. What lay behind the golem was the area it'd already walked over which didn't exactly leave her with the most stable road to drive on. Even so it was still better than the alternative. Her plan to hand out explosives and let everyone else deal with the giant threat had worked out wonderfully too. She was a bit miffed the person on the broom -or whatever the hells that eyeball filled thing was- had snatched more than half of her remaining grenades but in the end she supposed she couldn't complain. Well, not about that anyway. All in all Retsu's overall performance hadn't been bad. She'd ducked, dodged and weaved past the thing's minions, taken down no less than five of the little golems with the others' assistance and dealt out enough explosives out to level a small building. So what was it then that after a showing like that had finally managed to put a spoke in her wheel? A pothole. A gods damned pothole of all things. She didn't know whether the city had misappropriated funds meant to maintain the road or whether the golem had exacerbated the problem but in the end she supposed it didn't matter. The result was the same. When she'd bought the bike the advertisement had said it could go from 0 to 100 km/h in two and a half seconds and Retsu hadn't exactly been at a standstill before she sped up. The moment the big golem started toppling backwards she'd hit the gas to get clear, swerved between two holes left by its feet and hit a pothole at full speed setting this whole sequence of events in motion. After hitting the pothole she'd strained to keep her bike under control, drove up against the very edge of one of the golem's footprints, got caught in a crack that broke further and saw part of the concrete fall into said hole neatly trapping her front wheel in place. Which, of course, made the rest of the bike flip one hundred and eighty degrees vertically and sent her flying. So there she was, with all the momentum of a motorcycle yet none of its maneuverability, safety or anything else for that matter and on a collision course with the ground. She wondered whether her bike had survived the golem's fall. The lime green shard flying through her line of sight immediately answered that question. "Gads Damnit."------ TL;DR: Retsu tries to not get crushed by the golem falling, hits a pothole and is sent flying off her bike. Said bike is flattened and Retsu's on a collision course with the ground. Tags: Fanthes Shion Utsui Claudio Bernardo Elijah Emilia Hall

In the air, wind rushing past his ears endlessly as red hair came undone in the wind, Shion was making Toto go faster than he ever had before. To escape the falling debris and strikes of the great enemy. His eyes squinted as he willed his friend to carry him high into the air.Faster. . . faster. Then, as he reached a point of altitude above the giant everything seemed to change in a course of a few seconds. The boy with the foreign hairstyle that had accompanied Claudio, or "Kisai" to the site of battle, was promptly crushed underfoot. With open malice, the behemoth had effectively ended the life of a student as Shion understood it."Wha-"He suddenly felt sick to his stomach while seeing what couldn't be seen as anything but the death of his peer. Right- this was anything but a full-blown warzone. Casualties were expected, Shion knew this- yet why did it still paralyze him? As he was busy clasping both his hands around his mouth with a horrified expression, almost dropping his bag, the ground shifted. Emilia's second wind caused the goliath to tilt uncontrollably and fall, the impact shaking even Shion who was in the air. Forcing him to get a grip on the situation. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths, opening them to remember that the worst thing that could be done. . . was nothing. As long as he continued to act, despite the loss of life, more could be prevented! Every second counted!Grabbing one anti-tank explosive after another, Shion began dropping them onto the behemoth below, hitting whatever spots he could while circling above it to try and escape any incoming fire. In both his and Toto's eyes, the flames from the bombs going off reflected off them, flash after flash showing off an orange glow.Vrrrrr-But before more than 4 grenades could be dropped, the sound of Retsu's motorbike screeching off course and being crushed by the falling giant took Shion's attention away from the enemy. And there Retsu was, flying uncontrollably through the air with a look of bitter acceptance on her face. That of one who had seemingly accepted what fate was going to meet them soon."Toto, dive!"Unwilling to have another life lost, the youth abandoned their plans to go after the weaponsmith. The small dot that was Retsu became larger and larger to the alien and it's rider as they approached, their intention to make a collision being clear. "Brace yourself!"He screamed, knowing Toto couldn't carry more than a single person. The impact of Shion would be soft, though the one of Toto felt as hard as steel. If he successfully grabbed onto Retsu, all three of them would have had a rough landing on the cracked asphalt below. Though, rolling uncontrollably across concrete was preferable to losing one's life to falling.
TLDR: Shion witnesses what he thinks is Elijah's death and freezes, before throwing several bombs towards the downed enemy, noticing Retsu, and diving towards her to save their life.

Claudio is taken aback by Elijah's supposed death, only brought back into focus as Emilia lifts the giant off his feet! As the two golems reach up to tackle him again, Claudio reaches his enlarged hands towards them and grips them, using their momentum to throw them over his head (his arms moving a half-circle). Directly afterward, he moves towards the head in an attempt to barrage it down, using his massive hands to strike it repeatedly.

[attr="class","sixShpost"]heheClaudio's arms snapped back to their sockets, flipping the cloud backward through the air. As his body came to a stop, righting itself properly with the world beneath and the sky above him, his eyes fell down.
[break][break]
heheThe golem's fist plunged through the ground. The ground erupted from around its impact, stone and earth shooting out from beneath it, erecting themselves like pillars in the waste of the impact — a tortured temple built from the sacrifice at its center. Beyond its borders ran the price, running away further and further away from the crash.
[break][break]
heheThe air caught in Claudio's lungs. Tight. His lungs were tight. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't look away, either. His neck wouldn't turn, and his eyes wouldn't close.
[break][break]
heheThe earth tremorred again. His eyes didn't focus on it. It couldn't have been anything more than the reinforcements like before. But, as he continued to stare at what had once been, his body unflinching in its stare, a blur appeared in the corner of his eye. Like a mirage, he questioned if it was a trick of the mind — a hopeful illusion of a better outcome.
[break][break]
heheHis eyes, desperate for a silver lining, tore themselves from the destruction, following the course of the golem's form as it came crashing down onto its back.
[break][break]
heheInformation flooded the boy's mind, his eyes darting about the battlefield as more and more flowed. The girl had survived? It seemed so — the energy born from her must have been the reason. He wished he could say the same for Elijah.
[break][break]
heheTwo more golems leaped at Claudio, again repeating their predecessors' mistakes in handling the cloud. This time, however, the cloud moved his hands to grab the golems before they even reached him, expanding the shape of his hands and imprisoning them in their grip.
[break][break]
heheSimilarly to before, the Brazilian hurled the two constructs toward their larger counterpart, hurling them over his head in a half-circle motion. Though, unlike his previous satisfaction with just the catapult, the cloud soared forward, jetting across the sky and closer to the titan's head.
[break][break]
heheHe couldn't guarantee an opportunity like this again. As he continued through the air, the vision of his comrades' struggles made one thing all too clear to him — he had to take responsibility for the situation. His allies had already sustained heavy damage. He couldn't imagine the superpowered girl to have much more in her, especially not after taking the full weight of the giant on her shoulder. Shion burdened himself with the life of the biker. And Elijah, he...
[break][break]
heheClaudio threw a pair of readied fists, his massive knuckles crashing down upon the creature's head. His blows didn't end with a single attack each, however. No, they would crash down again, and once they had risen back up, they would strike the golem again. Claudio would throw attack after attack, reeling and throwing his fists as many times as he could — he would keep this golem down for as long as long as he could.

It had been a long time since he'd been like this. Surrounded by silence. Feeling nothing but vibrations and pressure, the golem taking the brunt of it as the force of fist hitting ground reverberated throughout its form. Elijah allowed himself some time of reprieve, trying to calm the thoughts ringing in his head of what could've been. His Quirk was untrained from years of disuse. Transformations like this were slow. Had the fist come down any faster he would've- He felt more than witnessed the golem's position shift, toppling on its back due to actions he couldn't see. The people fighting- they brought it down. They were still out there trying to end its assault. Rest was something they couldn't afford until it was all over. He took an imaginary breath and moved forward. In his mind he mapped out the creature, starting from its hand then working his way up its arm. There's something about it he couldn't explain; a feeling in the back of his mind. Something wasn't right here. Before he could resurface on top of the thing's chestplate however, something cracked the armour where he was, forcing him to pop out on the inner side of it instead. Gravity took Elijah to the second layer of the golem and his fingers caught on the holes it was littered with. Confusion formed on his face once he came down from his shock. Holes? What kind of monster was this? The tense feeling hadn't gone away either but he couldn't see what was causing it, his eyes not adjusting fast enough in the darkness. One thing was for certain though. He shouldn't be here. Another explosion outside as he braced himself. What a stroke of irony that the titan's armour was protecting him too now. But it reminded the freshman of something important. He dug in his pockets and held the items in front of his face. Grenades. Several of them that he'd gotten from the biker. His gaze shifted from the bombs to the holes. He'll take his leave, sure. But not before imparting some gifts. Shoving them back in his pockets except for one, Elijah pushed on to the lever as he pulled the pin before dropping it into the hole. He then crawled to another hole some meters away, grabbed another grenade from his jacket and pulled its pin too, throwing it in like he did with the first. He'd repeat this process, making sure the explosives weren't close to each other to spread the damage as much as possible. And just like that, he was out of bombs. Hopefully that will be enough as he likely wouldn't have another shot at doing this. Elijah touched the back of his hand to the armour above him, sinking into it before he began to travel to the golem's leg, far and away from the carpet bombing. If something broke the plating again, whether due to the grenades above or within, at least the metal would shield him from some of the damage should he not make it to his destination in time. As the armour shook around him, he realized it's highly likely he won't.
OOC: Elijah meant to escape the armour but an explosion forces him inside the golem instead. He takes it as an opportunity to throw Retsu's bombs in the holes scattering the golem's body before melding into the armour again, heading to its leg as an attempt to avoid more explosions. Though he comes to accept he won't evade them all. Emilia Hall Fanthes Bakiri Retsu Shion Utsui Claudio Bernardo

▲ Emi felt her vision rapidly coming in and out of focus with heartbeat sounding like drums the liberating kind in her ears. Had anyone with medical knowledge been around, they would have told her that she needed to exit the fight immediately and was on an adrenaline rush. Unluckily (or luckily) there wasn't one around so Emi would once again disregard her own health and push on, taking in the battlefield before she would make her next move. It looked like in her time being underfoot, the situation had changed drastically, some for the better and others for the worse. The Rumbling Golem had taken on a decent amount of damage and was still dealing with an assault of explosives. This, coupled with the lack of any civilians in the area made her relieved that her sacrifice wasn't in vai-...wait, where was the other guy? She looked around trying to get a visual on Eli who was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he left, or maybe...no no! She would shake her head in defiance of the very thought. Even if the worst had happened, she still had a job to do. Two of the golems made a beeline for her clearly unhappy with what she had done to their leader. Instead, she would have to disregard Eli for now, eyeballing the gauntlets that Kei had made for her. Now was a good time to test them! She would activate them as the ambient radiation flowing from her condensed around her, forming a deep blue from her hands to her shoulders. She would reel back and throw a punch with her right arm, sending air pressure strong enough to catch the golems and send them flying toward the golem's leg. The very same leg where Elijah was hiding in. tl;dr Emi takes in the situation and opts to attack the two smaller golems with her support gear sending air pressure in their direction and flinging them towards the golem's leg @ tag ● # # # ● notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

Despite all the odds, the giant golem had been tipped over. Although expressionless, it was clear as day that whatever was controlling this golem did not prepare for this outcome. It was already scrambling to get back to its feet, pushing itself off the ground when Shion’s bombs rained down on it, shelling it back into the ground with another loud rumble. More cracks form along the behemoth’s armor, hot steam seeping out from the cracks like a kettle about to boil over.
Then, the boss laid motionless.
Observing, calculating…
Then, as if the steam itself was propelling it to move faster, it tried to get up again, urgency much more prevalent in its arms. It was not only being beaten back, there was an intruder under its armor. The monstrosity staggered when Claudio threw its pawns at its head once more, the smaller golems shattering effortlessly upon impact, but it wasn’t enough to stop it from trying to get up, not until the cloud himself came roaring down, punch after punch making visible cracks in its helmet as it struggled to get back up. The steam kept rushing out of its face, faster and faster to match the pace of Claudio’s punches, coming to a crescendo when a multitude of bombs planted by Elijah burst inside of it.
Powerful steam and explosive fire rushed out of it, anyone who dared stay near the thing was sure to catch some nasty burns. One after one, Elijah’s parting gifts went off, ensuring as much damage as possible against the golem. Silence filled the air surrounding the giant, its first layer of armor crumbling and blowing away like dust in the wind, leaving Elijah somewhat vulnerable as Emi sent the final two small golems flying towards its leg. The minions were going to be destroyed on impact, but could Elijah escape unscathed? The small golems would be the least of his worries.
Now exposed to the sun, the golem’s second layer of armor just like Elijah had seen it. Its build was much more elegant and slim than the chunky armor it wore previously. It was also covered in holes, hundreds of them pointed in every single direction. However, cracks from the bombs it had sustained were already forming along its new exterior, right arm even came off completely, strangely absent of steam as it crumbled and slammed to the ground in pieces.
Still, that didn’t stop the boss from deploying its next attack. From finishing the job and killing those that had miraculously held out for this long.
Whirring roared from under its armor as spikes, spirals, began to rise from within and fill up the holes that covered its body. Locked and loaded as it stood there for a second. Ideally, the boss would have been able to cover every angle, but its right arm had fallen off, leaving a blindspot. The question was, were they all fast enough to make it there, or take cover on their own? Sure, some of them might survive, but if they were selfish, how many of their comrades would die? They had seconds to make their choice.
Like a gatling gun, the golem released the spikes all at once, aiming to kill everyone that opposed it. The projectiles were soaring out at frightening speeds as they tore through cars, buildings, pavement, everything they came into contact with like a hot knife through butter. Glass and other loose debris and rubble rained from the sky in the aftermath. The behemoth scanned the area silently, were there any survivors?
Then, more whirring came as it loaded another set of spikes.
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR: The boss is about to get back up, but Shion’s bombs and Claudio’s attacks stall it. With their combined effort and Elijah’s bombing under its armor, the first layer of armor breaks away, revealing a second, slimmer layer of armor covered from head to toe in hundreds of holes. As the first layer of armor falls away, Elijah is incidentally exposed to one of Emi’s attacks, as she sends the last two small golems flying at its leg.
Getting back onto its feet, the giant golem begins loading its holes full of spikes from deep within its body. It then fires a deadly attack in all directions to try and kill everyone at once. However, critically, Elijah’s act of sliding bombs into the holes made its right arm come off completely, exposing a blind spot in its secret attack.

The reason children appeared invulnerable compared to adults when it came to surviving falls was that they had yet to develop the instinct to tense up in response to danger. The human body was normally flexible and fairly shock resistant but clenched muscles weren't nearly so and didn't provide great padding for bones either. Retsu was used to rolling with the punches. This wasn't her first fall and while she hadn't ever had one this bad she knew what to do. So she let herself go slack, exhaling and letting go of the controls so to say. Would it be enough to survive the fall? Who knew? It wasn't like she could do anything else though. "Brace yourself!"Retsu flinched, every muscle in her body tensing. 'Ah shit.' She had but the briefest moment to realize her mistake before Shion crashed into her, the impact driving the remaining air out of her lungs as it set them both tumbling down. If nothing else, Retsu thought, the impact negated a lot of her momentum. She'd have flown much further if not for this. Either way with her previous plan a bust it was time to adapt. Her right arm was trapped between her and Shion but she could at least use her left to soften their fall. Sticking her hand out right before they hit the ground she felt the force of the impact travel up her arm, cracks resounding as her wrist bent awkwardly causing her little finger and ring finger to break. She briefly wondered whether Rui's healing had caused the other three to be stronger. Using her arm to turn their fall into a vague approximation of a roll she caught another big part of the fall's force on her elbow causing another crack to resound. Rubble slipped beneath it ruining the roll and turning it into more of a skid instead as she landed on her side, the grenade-filled bag jamming into her ribs when she hit the ground fully. For the sake of her sanity she pretended it was something inside of the bag that she heard break. The rest of their fall was a haze, too much happening in too little time for Retsu's mind to keep up. When they finally came to a complete stop she let out a pained groan. Given that she was still conscious she could at the very least say that her helmet had done its job. "Argh. Ya know wha? Ah think ah owe ya a drink." Pushing herself up with her good arm she took stock of the situation and comforted herself that at the very least the big lug's arm was in a much worse state than her own. Then a spike of pain shot through her when she tried to put weight on her leg. "Yo, ah'm gonna need ta borrow y'r shoulder for a bit. Think mah leg's broken."Which was really bad timing given that their opponent was clearly getting ready to pull something and whatever it was she doubted it was good for her. Instinct said to run but Retsu firmly disagreed, her teeth grinding together so hard at the thought that it was audible. Running would just get them killed. Her eye flitted over their surroundings, desperately trying to find something that would let them survive the spikes that she had the distinct feeling were gonna fly their way any moment now. A manic grin crept its way up her face when she spotted a solution. It was insane but it might just work. Tapping Shion's shoulder she nodded her head in the golem's direction. "This is gunna sound stupid but we need ta go t'wards it. See that arm o'er dere? If we ken get behind it we should be good."Her mind didn't stop ticking however just because she found a solution to the most immediate problem. No, there was still the problem of the golem's continued existence to deal with. Leaning closer to Shion she began to whisper. "Ah've got an idea..."
TL;DR: Retsu lands alongside Shion and incurs heavy injuries in the process. They hobble towards the golem's severed arm to get into its safe spot and have cover while working on a way to strike back. ------ Tags: Fanthes , Shion Utsui , Claudio Bernardo , Elijah , Emilia Hall

The crash came not only for Retsu, but also for the one who was carrying her. It wasn't an easy fall in the least- at a certain point when they both made contact with the ground, Shion had let go of the bomber as they injured their fingers, tumbling on the rough ground.Nothing internal was broken, but the youth had earned a fair amount of scrapes to his arms, legs, and even one on his face that was now bleeding as he tried to stand up. But despite it all, there was a smile on his face at hearing Retsu's voice. Strained, yet defiantly present. "A drink? That'd be nice. . . "Shion put a hand to his scratched knee and groaned as he pushed on it to get up fully, a little shaky on his two feet that normally would be accustomed to supporting themselves on the ground. But he wouldn't complain about the pain he was going through. He could do that later when this was all over with. For now, there was a giant to stop and casualties to prevent. He walked over to Retsu, doing his best to carefully support her on one foot as he had never been put in a situation like this."Your driving could be better, but I'll bite cause' the bombs did helped me a ton. What's the idea?"Shion said back quietly, trying to make light of a sub-optimal situation due to all that he had just experienced. A member of their team had just gone missing, and his body hurt all over. There wasn't a lot more his mind could have taken. And that was exactly his weakness.Though they had begun making progress towards the giant's arm, it was unavoidable that the carnage that surrounded them within the rubble of concrete and metal exoskeletons reached the untrained eye of someone who was still barely a civilian in mind."Huh. . . what's-"A red arm, severed at the point of the elbow lay smashed against a jagged surface of concrete. What flesh that had been around it lay crushed, exposing shattered bone underneath as traces of white skin appeared to be all but gone. A brown stain from the dried hemoglobin surrounding the splayed organ like a pool.". . . !"Shion stopped suddenly, unable to take his eyes off it as the face hosting them was unable to move. Was. . . was this the reality of how things seemed up-close, when disasters like this happened? Was this what always happened to people unfortunate enough to get caught in the crossfire? Having never experienced the eye of the storm that he was in right now, only a single emotion remained. Horror.
TLDR: Shion sticks the landing despite suffering a few cuts and bruises and begins helping Restu with her plan to approach the side of the golem. However, the sight of a dead human makes him go mentally numb.

Claudio flies down to Shion's level (not to him, just at his level) and stretches his arms in an attempt to shove him (and Retsu) behind the fallen arm. As the drills shoot out in all directions, Claudio disperses into a massive cloud that envelopes the air, hoping to block the giant's view of the battlefield and how successful it managed to be. At this moment, after forming his head and hiding it in the clouds, he calls down to the rest of the group to get the titan on its knee, as he has an idea.
[attr="class","sixShlyric"]
have a laugh!
[attr="class","sixShcred"] SELKIE[attr="class","sixShright"] [attr="class","sixShly"] Dragon's fire, prayer and thunder will not change my mind
[attr="class","sixShpost"]heheFloating there, above the earth — above the machine — Claudio panted. His arms returned to his sides, tight with stress as they matched his size as they had before; fresh blood dripped from their knuckles, and burns etched across the flat of their fists down to the golem beneath.
[break][break]
heheThe scorching was fresh, only brief in the cloud's contact with the sudden outburst of steam, but the wounds around his joints had been a concern for such an onslaught to begin with. They'd endured his initial contact with the titan, sure, but that was only a singular below; unlike the singular below of before, his combination had been an unyielding force, an unleashing of his full strength, against the armored foe — it was only natural that against steel, his flesh would be the first to break.
[break][break]
heheRegardless of the cloud's pain, however, there was no one worse for wear than the golem itself. His blows had proven to be effective. Even more so than his blows, however, the efforts from within the machine proved the most fatal. And the source?
[break][break]
heheClaudio couldn't help but laugh, howl even, as a thought crossed his mind. There was no way that explosion could have come from Shion or their explosive-wielding combatant — not directly. He'd never seen them plant anything like that, either; there should have been no way for them to plant so many explosives beneath the titan's armor. As for the blonde, Claudio hadn't seen an indication of her having the chance to pull that off, especially not after it crushed her beneath its foot.
[break][break]
heheHis mind could only reach one idea: Either a new combatant had joined the foray or, more likely, Elijah was the one responsible for the destruction! But wait, hadn't he said he was quirkless? Maybe not said, per se, but Claudio couldn't remember him demonstrating a quirk at any point. Even in their own escapades, he'd never used any sort of ability — had it simply never been necessary?
[break][break]
heheWhatever the case, Claudio could leave that leg of the battlefield to its own devices. More pressingly than that, Claudio's eyes fixated upon his effeminate friend; he floated there, frozen, right before the armed golem, with his cohort being in just as bad a position.
[break][break]
heheDropping down to their level with his arms pulled back, Claudio slingshotted his hands towards the two with the intent of shoving them behind the fallen arm. If that was their goal, even if they blanked just before the finish line, he would get them the final push they needed.
[break][break]
heheThe streets had thinned of civilians. Through the heeps of demolished buildings and jutting fragments of what once was, the ones left at the scene were himself, his allies, and the machine. Shion was bloodied from his rescue maneuver, the motorcyclist was worse for wear, Elijah's condition was a mystery, and the blonde was surely near her limit; with the titan stripped of its armor and cracked along its skull, Claudio knew what he had to do.
[break][break]
heheAs the torpedos shot out from the titan's body, flying at almost every possible angle imaginable, the Brazilian vanished. Transformed into a cloud, his body was swept away in the whirlwind of drills that pierced his gaseous body. His particles split widely throughout the sky, dissipating like a fine mist upon an early morning dawn; what had once been the shape of a man was now a cloud stretched through the air, placed just between the titan's head and the world beneath it.
[break][break]
heheSomewhere in the cloud, there came a shout.
[break][break]
hehe"Pleaze get it on itsh knee!" came the voice, the source hidden away in the waves of his own design. "I have an idea!"

He did it. He'd done his job. His efforts combined with those outside was causing the armour to fall away, revealing what surely would be some weak point they could target. This would usually be a good thing but as it happened, Elijah was still inside its crumbling armour. He ignored the shaking as best as he could, redoubling his efforts to escape as the monster moved to stand. He was lucky with his choice to go down the leg as doing so meant he didn't need to double back and change course, but it also meant he had to reach its foot else he wouldn't survive the fall if he got out early. More shaking, cracks surely forming. He didn't have much time. Elijah could sense the end of his path though. He was going to make it. But something crashed against the golem's boot and Elijah was violently ripped from hiding. In normal circumstances, his transformations acted as if he was dipping himself in and out of water. Maybe he was getting sucked into the material at best. It was smooth. Careful. He had ample time to position himself so he always landed safely. But this? The force of the mini golems colliding with the armour would transfer to him, launching him out of the metal like a cannon and causing him to hit the ground hard. He tumbled several times before he skidded to a stop several meters away from where he exited. And there he was. Out in the world again. And it was in arguably a worse state than when he left it. But Elijah didn't know that. As he was turned away from the golem, he didn't see the attack it was preparing. He was too dazed to realize he needed to move despite the pain he was in. Instead he rested his head on the asphalt, giving himself time he didn't have to process what just happened.
OOC: Boy returns to the party and eats dirt! Elijah is now back in the real world, his exit injuring him as he was launched from the armour to the ground. He's lying motionless now. Emilia Hall Fanthes Bakiri Retsu Shion Utsui Claudio Bernardo

▲ Emilia was largely ignorant of anything that wasn't happening in front of her. Her vision was getting increasingly blurry, randomly coming in and out of focus, and her entire body ached. Whatever she had left would only last a few minutes at best. Even with the punch she had sent to let the golems fly, she could feel a sharp pain in her right arm. Even still, she would slap her own cheeks to try and bring her back into focus. It hurt to do so but the sharp pain did help alleviate some of the dizziness she was feeling. This was just in time to see Elijah get launched from the golem and Emi really felt like she had suffered brain damage from the impact. Was he inside of it just now? Why would he fight with knives if he could do that? Her internal lines of questioning would come to a screeching halt as Elijah lay motionless on the ground, clearly shell-shocked from the explosions combined with everything else. She was already on the move when the situation would get even worse. The Rumbling Golem shot out spikes in all directions with one of the bigger ones on a direct path with the defenseless Eli. To prevent her fellow student from getting skewered Emi would rush forward, but with her injuries combined with her usually slow running speed, she couldn't hope to get him out of the way in time without getting herself hit instead. So, she would leap off the ground to try and intersect the spike, throwing a mean right hook to either divert or outright destroy it if able. A resounding crack could be heard either way as Emi landed, with her arm now heavily bruised as it was broken. The pain made her wince, but it wasn't enough to take her down, not as long as she could still move and there were people to protect. She would position herself with Elijah, not having the time or mental clarity to wake him up. Well, that and her grievous wounds. Mostly that. tl;dr Emi diverts/destroys a spike headed directly for the unconscious Eli and breaks her right arm. She is now standing in front of Eli as a human shield. @ tag ● # # # ● notes MADE BY VEL OF GS
