Shinjuku, 5:57 PM, Monday.
The arraignment of the man known as ‘The Elementalist ‘ was running on the major Tokyo News channels. A dangerous man who had caused the Tokyo government a severe headache by illegally experimenting on quirkers through a government-funded facility. He was well known by the populace of Japan as he became linked to a human trafficking ring as the allegations came out. Some people were found heavily mutated, and others… were never found.
For all accounts, it should have been a normal day. It sure seemed that way with the usually busy streets of Tokyo continued, ignorant of the immense devastation that would befall them in just a few minutes. Those tuning into the courtroom would find the judge listing off the Elementalist’s extensive rap sheet and then ask for a plea. The silence was palpable until the man exhaled and spoke
“Not Guilty.” The courtroom was in an uproar over this as his crimes were undeniable. Still, The Elementalist would continue, “I did this to help. I would, and I WILL do it again.” A smirk appeared on his face, and his features would begin to melt into a green goo-like substance. The ballif would attempt to use quirk nullification to detain him, and to the shock of the rest of the courtroom, this would fail as The Elementalist would fade, leaving some cryptic parting words
“They will take care of everything”

Adachi, 6:00 PM, Monday.
Unlike the other areas, there wasn’t anything quite as ominous lingering around Adachi. It was farther from the center of Tokyo, so most civilians weren’t paying attention to the trial on the news, instead opting to continue living normally.
Except for one individual
A taller man cloaked in a black coat and wearing a black eyemask was standing on the corner of one of the streets. Even with his odd appearance, he did an excellent job of blending in, not attracting more than a passing glance from a few more curious individuals, but not one chose to engage with him. “Hmm…might be that time,” he said to no one in particular, opting to look at his watch, which had a slight purple meter slowly filling. He would tap his foot impatiently, waiting for it to finish, and when a ‘ding!’ finally came, he would walk out into the street.
“Showtime!” a shit-eating grin plastered his face as he faced a vehicle that honked at him in frustration as he blocked them from passing. Raising his arms and facing his palms outward, his hands would turn purple as the air crackled and distorted around him before everything within a 30-foot radius would be forcibly shoved outwards, flattening buildings and sending those who could survive the initial blast flying. What remained was a flat landscape, the buildings around him having been uprooted or flattened in the process
“Tch.” he would look back at his watch as the meter was empty again. “He really managed to fuck that up. Oh well! I’ll get it right soon enough.” Crossing his arms, he would again tap his foot impatiently as he waited. The rest of them may have been impatient and a little crazy, but the Enlightened one, also known as Hiro Atsumaru, wasn’t as far gone. Aside from his massive ego, he wasn’t purposely trying to attract attention to himself and had hoped that the original blast would have wiped the ward away in its entirety.
It was simply about repaying a debt for him.
The Enlightened

The Moon Rabbit! A new year, a new start! This is the part where most folks would hope their senpai would notice them or whatever, even though she was a whole ass grown adult...right? WELL NOT YUE! For starters, it wasn't the new year...juuuuuust a new start, a start that meant there was a whole new market of suckers to figure out and weasel money out of! A challenge that always came to haunt her like a pesky, Christmas special ghost, but she'd found ways to figure it out and couldn't help but feel proud of herself whenever she did. There was a sense of accomplishment in figuring out what goofy crap folks would throw money at...almost like a game. A game where she always aimed to have the highest score possible, or to keep climbing up that ladder of trying to make better sales than before. As long as she was willing to learn, that would give her the edge on anyone who wanted to get in the way of her and monetary goodness, right?! RIGHT! With a delightfully happy grin across her lips, she finally carved out another slice of time to step away from getting settled into her apartment...so it was time to see what kinda suckers she could study today. What goofy crap did people actually want to spend their money on...aaaaah the ever changing mystery of trends! Like that building up ahead getting flattened. Plus those debris and people forcibly flying in the air like they just don't care--WAIT... WAIT. PEOPLE?! "Oh shit...!" her smile flattened with a subtle twitch as she squinted a bit, trying to figure out what the hell was going on. The purple static in the air might be a clue to something. Yue was so certain that this wasn't normal for the place...like she'd bet money on this being unusual based on all the friggin panic going on! There wasn't a whole lot of time to take in what was happening, she had to do SOMETHING cause not everyone was built different. Some of those folks that got flung by whatever the hell was causing a ruckus were gonna get seriously hurt or worse, die. Dead people can't spend money on her goods, can they? ...maybe there's a quirk or something that activates with death, but she was going to safely assume that wasn't the case here. So that meant it was time to help those she could! Taking in a deep breath as the fibers began crawling out of her body, holding her hands up...angling them carefully towards the tops of some stoplights. Exhaling as what appeared to be ropes rushed past her long sleeves, all interlocking rapidly to make what looked like a bridge without any planks at all. Focusing on just fibrous ropes, a diamond design akin to traditional fishing nets. The edges and center tightly woven to act as a stable walking path with sturdy rails to hold. When the ends of each rope bridge got to their respective poles, they latched on and the net, but it's a rope bridge was set. The ends closest to her hands wrapped up her arms, gritting her teeth as she felt the impact from catching god knows what...hopefully at least some people who were safer crashing into a rope bridge instead of pavement? All she could do was hope that she wasn't the only one who was gonna try to help... ...it didn't even cross her mind that it miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight be frowned upon to act on impulse with one's quirk. Okay so it just did. Even then, she didn't give a crap right now and would figure that out later. Doing her best to bring the ropes securing themselves to her arms together, her current goal was to connect the two ends so she could back away.... "Bweepbweepbweep c'mon c'moooon...!" Hell, she'd work with anybody who showed up willing to do something, but for now...first step was getting this FRIGGIN' ROPE BRIDGE to weave n' connect from two halves into one! [attr="class","shinigami"] Holding on tight Walking around Adachi brought old memories up to the surface of Takeo’s mind. Every year for as long as he could remember, his dads would take him to the firework show. People from all over Tokyo would come to watch the dazzling display. They were warm, fond memories. Sometimes when life felt boring, and everything felt too easy he liked to remind himself that there was beauty and wonder in the world. Every day held an opportunity to be surprised; held unknowns to look forward to. Unfortunately, today’s surprise wasn't a pleasant one. The ground shook from the sheer force of the attack. Even though he wasn’t in the blast radius, UAU’s newest student went skidding across the pavement. He braced his arms, though he doubted it would’ve made any difference once he saw the devastation. Entire buildings were leveled or sent flying into the air, a crater forming in the ground. At its center stood a strange man wearing a blindfold. Purple electricity arced in the air around him, whizzing sounds echoing over screams. A woman around his age was the first to spring to action, something flying from her arms and weaving together to create sturdy, fibrous ropes that caught many of the civilians who’d been sent hurtling through the air from the blast. She weaved them together into a sturdy net, but it was clear that she was in over her head. The woman was alarmingly small, barely five feet- if that. She couldn’t be any older than him either, probably seventeen or eighteen. She strained with all her might to bring the ropes in her hands together. She was a lot stronger than her appearance led him to initially believe. Even so, she was struggling to secure the net. Takeo knew he wasn’t ‘supposed’ to use his quirk without a license, but surely saving people that would otherwise die and defending himself would earn him some leniency. ”Don’t let go.” His words were calm, lacking in urgency. Internally he had many concerns- clearly this was a dangerous situation- but panicking would make it harder to control his quirk. He needed a clear head so he could concentrate. Synapses fired in his brain, connections following familiar pathways to achieve the desired result. With the sheer force of his brain power, he willed it into being- something beyond conventional wisdom. A translucent hand, slightly larger than the woman was, formed in front of him. Flexing its fingers experimentally, it rose into the air and grabbed the top of the net. The hand held it closed with an iron grip, making sure nobody would fall out. Almost effortlessly, it removed the net from the poles and gently lowered it to the ground in front of the woman. Once the victims’ feet were firmly on the ground, the hand let go- allowing the net to unfold so they could escape. ”You look too young to be a hero. I take it you’re also from UAU?”He pointed towards the blindfolded figure, the massive hand mimicking the same gesture. ”He’s too dangerous to wait for the heroes. Another blast like that and hundreds could be in danger. You willing to break the rules with me?” [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass]

May Twenty-First//Artemis [attr="class","skep-img"] [attr="class","skep-content"] [attr="class","ray-img"] Sometimes, you just needed to get away for a while. Somewhere different to shake things up and help you sort through your thoughts. For the pink haired May, this happened to be a small but well-known archery shop in Adachi. She’d taken the day off from her studies to reset herself. Things hadn’t been so easy since she’d joined UAU. She was lagging behind every one of her classmates, she barely scraped by in anything hero course related despite having the heart for it. The only place she was doing ok were her regular classes where she had near perfect grades. [break][break] More and more these facts had weighed on her and at her Uncle’s suggestion, she got away for a little while. She’d spent the early morning at a mounted archery lesson before taking the day trip to the shop which to her delight had a huge indoor target practice area in it’s upper half and it would seem today was one of it’s less busy days. May had poked around the store thoroughly before paying for several hours in the target arena. [break][break] And it was here she’d remained for hours on end. [break][break] Thunk. Thunk. Thunk. [break][break] Arrow after arrow pierced through the air, thudding into targets with high accuracy. May had always had good aim, well, better than good. That and her quirk allowed her to make arrows. The enhanced ability to aim however, was a part of her quirk without her knowing. Everyone including her had just assumed it was ‘natural talent’. She scoffed at that notion, screw natural talent. Hard work was what paid off and she’d busted her ass to get as good as she was now, she’d busted her ass to get into UAU… [break][break] …And now she was failing. [break][break] To her adoptive family this was nothing but a good thing. They saw her pursuit of a hero career as a ‘waste of her life’. Not because they disliked heroes, but because her quirk quite literally cost her pieces of her life. But what better way to make her life have purpose than giving her life for others? She’d happily trade a dozen years if it saved even just a single person. But she was the only one who saw it that way. So she had pressure from family and from school. [break][break] She pulled back her bow, shadow and light twining slowly around the arrow, enhancing it before she let loose, it slammed into a target, shattering it. [break][break] “Poop..” May mumbled. [break][break] Shouldering her bow, she’d look left and right to make sure nobody else had shown up while she was in her own world. They hadn’t. So she hopped the barrier and walked towards the target, the least she could do was take it down to Takeshi and offer to pay to replace it. She lifted her arm, looking at her tattoo for a long moment. Intricate layers on it denoting units of time. Life had a lot more meaning, when you could see exactly how much time you had left in the world. [break][break] She headed towards the target, tousling her hair gently. [break][break] Of course she never actually made it to the target. There was a sudden rumble that she felt in her chest and then, well. She didn’t quite remember what happened next. One minute the front side of the building was there, and the next half that building was shoved so forcefully into the other half that the resulting crash sent May hurtling backwards to the other side of the room. [break][break] She was dazed for a moment or two as she lay there against the wall. A rather intricate and strangely padded tapestry on the wall had broken her momentum enough that her back wasn’t in pieces. She rubbed her head, multi-hued eyes looking up at the crumbling remains of the front of the building. It was like half of the building didn’t exist anymore, looking out into a crater where part of a city had once been. [break][break] May shook her head a few times to clear her head and climbed to her feet, slinging her bow over her shoulder, Whatever had done that was not friendly. You didn’t level several city blocks without hostile intent. She felt the adrenaline already pumping in her chest as she hurried to the stairwell, “Takeshi! Is everyone ok down there?”[break][break] For a minute no response came, making May’s face pale visibly. The stairs were broken and shattered so getting down there would be no easy feat. [break][break] But then a voice, “May? Yes! We’re all ok, are you?”[break][break] She looked herself over, “Good. I'm fine! Get yourselves to safety as quick as you can!”[break][break] That was all she needed, turning and leaving over the sundered barrier and hurrying to the edge of the building where the remains of the front of the building made an easy enough path for the fairly agile May to make her way down, she ran over broken pieces of the building, only stopping long enough at a cry for help. A woman and child trapped beneath debris that she was quick to yank off of them and help them to their feet. She’d never really done any her work before but something inside told her what to do. A unheard voice that guided her heart. [break][break] “Everything will be ok Miss. Go back through the shop here and get as far away as you can, ok?”[break][break] The woman nodded, clutching her child, “What was that?”[break][break] May looked over her shoulder at the rope nets forming, having caught many people, and despite knowing this was likely beyond her she put on her biggest smile and looked to the woman, “Nothing the heroes can't handle. Get yourself as far away as you can, ok? If you see anyone else in need, please given them a hand. Some may not have been as lucky as you.” The woman nodded. May turned and ran up a steel beam, leaping onto the ropes like some sort of tightrope walker. Who knew her training in circus arts would come in handy so soon? [break][break] She made her way along, helping people down to the ground as best she can until she got to the source of the ropes. [break][break] A woman of small stature and a young man speaking to one another. May crouched down on the ropes above them, pausing to listen only for a moment. [break][break] ‘He’s too dangerous to wait for the heroes.’[break][break] May looked towards the center of the ‘crater’ at the man. Purple lines sparking around him like electricity arcing through the air. How far out were the heroes? Someone like that could level another dozen city blocks unless someone did something. May ran fingers over her bow. [break][break] ‘You will to break the rules with me?’[break][break] “If she won’t. I will.” May said from above finally. She knew the comment hadn’t been directed at her, but she’d be damned if she sat back and let whatever was happening, well, happen. If they were both students like her, they likely had little chance of success. But even just distracting the man until someone who could go toe-to-toe with him arrived could likely save dozens of people. [break][break] May pressed a button on the blue camera hanging around her neck and leapt from the ropes to land on the ground near the other two, “I’ll stand with you, if it means more people can make it to safety.” She looked around at the destruction. Part of her wanted to just go help as many as she could in that moment. But at the current second, keeping whoever was at the center of that crater from dealing out more destruction felt like the priority. Even if i become
The Elementalist's broadcast was playing in the background, a small window that hovered just out of sight in the augmented reality in which she lived. She barely paid it any mind - the man had refused her offer of legal help after all - instead, she focused on what was right in front of her. Another step in the right direction. Something to be proud of, an accomplishment. It didn't seem like much from the outside, but that was largely the point. Hiding in plain sight was her speciality after all.
She smiled smugly behind the respirator and glanced towards the man next to her. He was on the gaunt side, his eyes sunken and his lips looking chapped. His quirk allowed him to drain fluids from nearly anything he touched. He looked back at her and grinned, "It looks good, my Queen," He said with his hand over his heart. "This waystation will be more than enough to assist the Villains of this Ward. You really outdid yourself."
She rolled her eyes and waved a playful hand at him, "Oh, Drought you flatterer!" She laughed, "It's only because you stepped up here in Adachi, dearie. Keep working hard for Pantheon and I can see big things in your future," She enthused, letting out a sigh of satisfaction. Today, Villain Society and the ENKI system got a little bit stronger.
Drought cracked a deathly grin and strode over to the rear door of the building, the villain entrance tucked away in the alley in which they stood. He grabbed onto the handle and tugged, "Shall we?"
Ishtar chucked, "Why of cour-"
A sudden shift in the air caught Ishtar's awareness, her innate sense for danger spiking before her nervous system, as advanced as it was, could catch up. Her mechanical eyes widened, her mouth opened, she felt the pressure change near the building, she reached out even as she saw the confusion on Drought's face. Her expression shifting from confusion to horror. The crushing force sent out a residual shockwave that pulverized the remainder of the building and sent dust and debris flowing over and past her.
She stood there, her expression growing stiff. Her eyes cast forward on the devastation. Her lips formed a thin line as if to ask whatever deity was watching the comedy playing out before it, 'You picked this spot in particular did you? Really?'. Dust collected on her glowing white hair and on her villain costume, a few pebbles caught in her locks that she reached up absently and plucked out. She blinked a few times, canting her head to the right at the sight of the puddle of blood and pulverized mass that was Drought.
She looked at the outer ring of the compression area, she was barely four feet away from the impact site, only her enhanced body kept her from behing hurled away by the force.
She clicked her tongue. "This is fine." She muttered. "I'll just build another quarter of a million dollar top-secret Villain safehouse. No problem."
She reached up and ran her fingers through her hair, clearing out a few more pieces of debris. The mechanisms of her eyes turned over with more rapidity every second. Soon it was enough that the movements were audible.
Tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick
Her smile twitched beneath her mask. She could have erred on the side of patience. Behaved herself. She could have turned to one of her subordinates to look into what had happened. She could have let Failsafe handle it.
"Nope," She snapped, finally, and stepped into the area that had been crushed moments before, her arms behind her back and her head held high. She let her full presence blast out around her without an ounce of restraint, not caring of she knocked out a few civilians in the process. Her entire body aglow as her passive radiation began to leak out over the surroundings. Her hair whipped around her as she turned up the volume on her respirator. From the vehicle she'd arrived in, a few dozen drones hurtled into the air from the trunk, adding to her perspective as they spread out. Was that May Twenty-First?
She spotted the man with the visor and pointed at him, light collecting on her fingertip. "You broke my new toy."

Not one to waste time, The Enlightened took stock of his surroundings. He would hold up a palm, revealing a white glow that surrounded his palm, which caused him to perk up immediately. “Ohhhh!” As if a lightbulb went on, his head swiveled towards the group of three students, saving those who weren’t entirely pulverized. Raising his other hand, a green glow enveloped it as he pointed it towards the sky. From behind Takeo, May, and Bun, a small green orb would appear without a sound and hover in place.
“Hmmmmm?” his attention was briefly removed from the larger group and directed at Ishtar. “Your new toy? Oh, the flesh bag!” his grin would only widen. “Good news for you! You’ve got time to find a new one before I level this place.” he would point his thumb towards Revision. “Hell, you got one right next to ya,” laughing to himself in an unsettling way; by the next time anyone blinked, he would have disappeared, the green orb hanging listlessly in his place.
“Oh, students, huh?” the group of Takeo, May, and Bun are greeted by the sudden voice behind them. The same instant he appeared, he would place his glowing green hand on Bun’s head for just a few seconds. “Although you’re more like a middle schooler. You lost?”
If the group turned around, he would return to his original spot, walking out of the crater he formed while continuing to yammer away. “Honestly, I don’t like this any more than you do, but…” he would point his hand with the green glow at Bun’s location, and they would fill a slight pull, which ramped up quickly into a tug that would pull Bun towards him through an invisible force “I got some time to kill”
—---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR The Enlightened produces a white glow from his left hand and green from his right. blinking to the group of Takeo, Bun, and May before placing his hand on Bun’s head for a second before blinking back and then using some invisible force to pull Bun towards him.

The Moon Rabbit! SHIT!How the hell was she supposed to save these living piggy banks?! Okay, okay...they were...they were all more than just a bunch of wallets or whatever... She just had to save them somehow... Gritting her teeth as she took in yet another sharp breath of air, the fibrous ropes were slipping past her arms as all too familiar screams danced about the air and echoed in her head. This wasn't...anything new...people suffering and all that awful shit while she tried to stop an all too familiar history from repeating itself. Some asshole just out to hurt folks for some twisted agenda...right? That's what this was...wasn't it..? "I-I...I just wanted it to be different this time...!" Straining those words beneath her breath as she struggled to pace her breathing, she was losing her grip...but not her hope. There was no way in hell she'd be giving up! Last time she got herself in one hell of a mess, well...it went as okay as it can possibly go, she guessed. Though it was obvious as the sky being blue on a sunshine ridden day that there were casualties... again. One day...she'd get good enough to lower the body count total, that was the goal... ...become the most damn marketable hero out there, or close enough to it. If that goal was reached, she knew she was on the right track. Don't let goWith a flare of instinct, she snapped out, "I won't..! That stubborn nature drenched words that sprawled out of her mouth on autopilot as she tried to ignore the sheer pain from hanging on, refusing to let go. Feeling the rope burn against her skin, not giving up despite taking on way more than she could handle, that's when she noticed the load lighten... "B-bwuh..?" The tears of frustration starting to puddle up near her lavender optics blinked a few times as she watched a strange, translucent hand grasp upon the ropes and bring them together. With a tired sigh of relief, she fought off the pit of despair in her stomach and figured whoever this was would be helping her with...whatever the hell this was. Glancing over with a slight smile to look up at the guy who helped her, at least now she wasn't alone. Parting her lips, about to answer his questions and thank him for his help, someone else popped up and--- --- whomst the hell was this pink haired lady and why didn't she do somethin' earlier?! Whatever, she seemed willing to snap the back bone of rules with em' and that's all that mattered. It meant she could do something...otherwise she wouldn't offer, right? "I'll care 'bout rules later, screw em' for now...we got a big fish to fry." Snapping those words out with a somewhat bitterness to them, she glanced back and tried to figure out where the source of purple destructo-sparks was. Normally, she played the cutesy damsel in distress angle to lull people into a false sense of superiority. Pull them into the feeling of needing to protect her...but right now, they all had to rely on one another. Right now wasn't the time for that bullshit, even she knew that. The mask of emotions could slide back into place later. The glow caught her eye and she let a frustrated grunt beneath her breath and...oh...yup. That guy who wreaked of this don't bother me none was probably the man behind it all. Guilty people were either proud of what they did, much like Mr. Goodfellow, felt remorseful, shame, or a mix. He wasn't in a panic, the polar opposite of it, really. Though her gaze traced to where his attention was for a moment...he didn't know who the hell those people were, but with how much I'm not taking your shit, asshole energy that masked woman had? Bun's best guess was either a hero or vigilante of some kind...definitely not some student or Joe Schmoe off the street conveniently stepping up to the bat of responsibility. Not able to put her finger on what they were talking about, more so cause it was a bit muffled from her ears recovering, hearing all that destruction as close as she was didn't exactly mean my hearing's perfectly fine! Letting out a lil huff, she muttered "He's distracted, quick l--bweep-wait...where'd he go?" Squinting as a bead of sweat rolled down her cheek. Poof, he was gone...just like that and-- --a voice behind them?! Feeling a hand rest upon her head, her eyes widened. It was in that moment, she knew they were in waaaaaaaaaaaay over their heads. A bead of sweat rolled down her cheek as she tried to come up with something to at least buy everyone else time to get the hell out of here. Forcing on a sweet smile, she could just about climb on a soap box and smack the silly out of him for calling her a kid! Pivoting on her heel, she lowered her hands to fuss with her pants, seeming nervous... "Oh! Um! Not a kid, b-but I am lost...!How was he so close, yet so far away?! Could he teleport?! WHATEVER, THIS PIECE OF COMPLETE AND UTTER CRAP CALLING HER A KID JUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUST BECAUSE SHE WAS SHORT! Despite being a short bundle containing an awful lot of fury over the assumption, she managed to sound sincerely sweet and concerned at the drop of a dime. Wait, he said he didn't like this any more than the rest of them? ...something definitely wasn't right here. Was someone forcing him to do this, or was there more to the situation? Those lavender eyes darted around to see if maybe there was someone who seemed like they were helping him...but as far as she could see, he was alone. What if someone forced him into this, one way or another...it didn't sound like something someone who wanted to do all of this would say. The thought train was derailed as she felt a tug on her body and tried reaching into her pocket--but the force meant no dice on that front. "BACK OFF!" Although it sounded like she was saying that to him, she shot the pair a concerned glance, almost like she was trying to warn them, really drive it home in a passive way that they needed to stay away, avoid becoming an example like she did. Last thing she wanted was the people in her corner getting screwed over! There wasn't a lot of time and last she checked, that white haired woman seemed like she was preparing for an attack. If that was a hero, maybe her life actually mattered... ...but if it wasn't? Well shit, she'd be going down with this guy, wouldn't she? Acting on instinct, driven by the will to survive...or at least help others survive, the fibers upon her upper arms rapidly formed a pair of wooden bridges with rails, ripping off both of her sleeves to reveal the girl's hands were scarred to high hell and back with old, deep gashes that trailed up her arms. Those bridges, however...were coming to an end into a nice, sharp point like a triangle, similar to an arrow. High enough to guard her head and upper body, at least until her waist. OR YOU'LL GET THE POINT! Trying to lean back so she could tumble backward to detach from the bridges and roll away if there was a window to do so, at least! ...that was a terrible pun, but hopefully she was being a good enough distraction for whoever could do a bit more in the situation. Although she was sure as sunshine her attack wasn't going to work out, she at least hoped it would serve as a big enough window for the others in her corner. (AAAAAA tried rushing this out asap to keep the event train moving! TLDR TIME!) (Bun makes observations and such. Bun is targeted and decides to be a distraction, uses her quirk to make 2 wooden bridges into an arrow shape in front of her & aimed at her attacker.) ( Takeo Hoga, you're next! [attr="class","shinigami"] Holding on tight Takeo turned his head towards the other woman who emerged nearby. She looked a bit older than him and the other girl, and towered over the both of them. She was six feet tall, easily. One of the pro heroes, then? Takeo didn’t recognize her though- perhaps she was a new up-and-comer. His eyes fell over the bow she held by her side. ”Perfect. Shorty and I can try and hold him in place long enough for you to take him out from a distance.” He spoke as if his words had authority- like they were commands. Not harsh, but with a certain diction that made him sound as though he was in control of the situation. Once the two women had agreed to assist him, he prepared to go on the offensive. Before he had a chance, however, the strange villain had seemingly disappeared. His voice rang out from behind them, taunting the shorter girl. Eyes widening, Takeo’s telekinetic hand immediately opened and slammed down behind him as quickly as it could. He whirled around to confront the figure- hopefully having squashed them- only to be met with dust and debris. In the spot where the villain had stood moments ago was a large, hand-shaped crater. The ground around it was cracked and damaged- an attack that would’ve utterly crushed any normal person caught in it. Pieces of rubble dropped back down to the ground, dust clouds dissipating to reveal a distinct lack of squashed villain bits. Takeo clenched his fists as he turned back around, staring daggers at the villain, now standing in front of them once more. He’d just killed dozens of people, and now he was toying with them. There was no fear or concern in the strange figure’s voice as he spoke. He had utter confidence in his abilities. Suddenly, the smaller girl started moving towards him, as if being pulled by some invisible force. She fired out bridges that converged together to try and strike at him- desperately attempting to fight back. A valiant effort. ”Same plan as before. I’ll lock him down and you finish him.” Takeo’s tone was cold as ice, though there was a slight tremble to his voice now. He was burying his fear. If he let it run amok, he wouldn’t be able to continue using his quirk- and then things would really get ugly. The large, translucent hand rushed through the air towards the villain, attempting to grab him. If it succeeded, the fingers would tighten around his body, using all its gripping strength to hold the villain in place. [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass] TL;DR - Takeo notices the new arrival. Tells her that he and Bun will hold the villain in place so she can finish him off with her bow - Suddenly hears the villain behind them before they can act. Instinctually has his GRIP slam down where the voice is coming from - Turns around and sees a hand-shaped crater, but the villain isn't there anymore - Looks back at where the villain is now, glaring at him. - He realizes the villain is toying with him and confident in his abilities, gets shaken up but tries to push that fear down - Sees Bun being pulled towards the villain and trying to hit him with her bridges - He assists by sending his GRIP to try and grab him. If it succeeds, the fingers will close around him and they'll grasp him tightly with all their gripping strength

May Twenty-First//Artemis [attr="class","skep-img"] [attr="class","skep-content"] [attr="class","ray-img"] May’s gaze didn’t drift down to either of them as she hung off the side of the pole, her free, tattooed arm clasping her bow tightly in it’s grasp. It would seem the other two were just as content to break the rules as she was. Not that she was willing to break them generally, but she knew if they didn’t do something. If they didn’t try and mount some sort of distraction until the pro’s arrived, so much more loss of life could occur. [break][break] May let bright eyes study the battlefield carefully, taking in the distance from them to the stranger, noting any vantage points outside the sphere of influence she might make of, and the many people trying to tug loved ones from the rubble or running to get away. The sight of the people, desperate, in pain. Tugged at her heartstrings painfully. This is part of what it meant to be any sort of hero, being able to deal with crises like these and offer some semblance of hope to those around you. May kept her smile on the whole time, though it was laced with resolve and perhaps a hint of anger as her multi-hued eyes kept close track of the man in the center of it all. [break][break] The young man, spoke with a semblance of confidence. Like he was used to taking charge or had faced such odds before. She nodded in agreement, “I will do what I can.” She said flatly. The man had just taken out several city blocks in an instant, she very much doubted she was going to be able to do much more than distract him. It would be like throwing toothpicks at a mountain. [break][break] But then he was gone. As quickly as they could blink. May furrowed her brows and leapt from the pole as soon as his voice came from behind them, yanking her bowstring back as she came to land on the ground, to face the…man who was gone yet again. Her shoulders slumped slightly as he taunted the shorted of them and proceeded to pull her towards where he’d just reappeared in the center of the crater. [break][break] May glanced at the swirling tattoo on her arm. Would today be the day she broke her own rules? [break][break] She looked up at Takeo and nodded, “Do what you can to keep his eyes elsewhere.” She said, turning and running the opposite direction that Bun was currently being dragged and trying to throw her rope attack at the man. May ran straight up a steel girder sticking out of the ground, using it to climb up to the second floor of the remaining half of a business. It was the highest vantage point she could reach at the moment. As soon as Takeo and Bun were out of earshot, she was on her own. She’d have to choose her shots, or alternatively help anyone in need if she had the chance. [break][break] She did note in the distance, the presence of others approaching. Two of them by the looks of it. Reinforcements? Pro’s? More enemies? She had no way of knowing until she had more information at hand and luckily for her, she was good at gathering such things even at a distance. [break][break] She drew her bow back with an audible creak, her tattoo pulsed slightly as she did, strands of inky black and silvery light extending from her arm drawing the bowstring, forming an arrow, “Thirty second speed, Thirty second impact.” She whispered softly, mostly to herself. Somehow, saving so many people felt like it should more than just a minute. But she only had so many shots to work with. Ten minutes at most, a hint more if she was lucky. [break][break] She drew in a slow breath, letting his eyes follow the progress of Bun and Takeo. She waited until the moment the translucent hand thrust through the air around the villain, waited until it was nearly upon him and the second the tiniest gap opened, she would let loose her arrow. A silvery streak of black and white firing through the air at a rapid pace, aimed right for the center of the man’s mass. May could shoot an apple off a moving target at a hundred yards, but here she wasn’t willing to risk missing. She aimed for center of mass. Everyone had a heart…right? [break][break] Whether or not her shot hit, she would draw her bow back immediately, another arrow of the same properties shimmering to life at the ready. [break][break] ~Hopefully his influence doesn’t extend beyond where it did before.~ May had chosen this specific spot, just outside of the range that the stranger had sundered the earth before. Although he’d teleported, so she wasn’t too optimistic about that. Agreeing to help Takeo in his plan and leaping off the pole when the voice showed up. [break][break] She purposely placed herself just outside the range of the previously flattened area in hopes of keeping at a healthy distance and getting a good vantage point. [break][break] She encouraged Takeo to make sure the strangers eyes remain away from her to assist in her attacks. [break][break] As soon as Takeo’s hand is about to grab at the stranger, she’d let fly a singular arrow. Loaded with speed and impact. At the thirty second mark this arrow would be the equivalent of getting hit with an arrow tipped with a rock at the max velocity it could be fired from a bow. Whether it hits or not, she would notch a second arrow and wait for another opportunity.]

Even if i become
Ishtar didn't blink, or more like, she decided to stop pretending to blink. The destructive malady that had fallen upon her when her quirk had first manifested had destroyed her eyes and her tear ducts. She didn't need to blink and had no instinct to do so, she only simulated it for the betterment of others. Her eyes remained steadily on the man, his face processing in her system, trying to identify him. Why couldn't she find any details? Curious and unsettling. Her eyes jumped towards Failsafe as she approached, moving back immediately afterwards.
"I am hard to kill, darling," Ishtar said evenly, "I am Queen among Villains after all," She declared, tilting her head and looking down at the man who had crossed her. Her role as one of the leaders of Pantheon was indesputable, and very few villains who knew of her quirk questioned her authority.
The man finally turned to look at her, gracing her magnanimously with his attention. Her lips thinned when he referred to Drought as a flesh bag. He went on to suggest she just replace him. She tapped her foot, expression darkening, how dare he talk about one of her darling villains like that! "I was talking about the building..." She muttered in a cold rasp, frost starting to spread out across the ground from where she stood. Her finger twitched and she was about to release a ray of concentrated pale dawn energ in his direction when he vanished. She stopped the attack, her eyes narrowing.
What the hell? Was he teleporting?
No. Not perfectly anyway. He was using his quirk to move himself. He was replacing the air with himself, perhaps? Details started to process rapidly in her mind, her eyes narrowing a bit harder, the ticking sound turning up. She clicked her tongue and sighed, she'd dissect his quirk later and instead flipped her hair, stepping a few paces forward as Failsafe drew closer. The glow on her body intensifying, it grew brighter and brighter as she stage-walked towards the center of the area of combat.
She held her hands out to either side, "Halo of Dawn," She rasped as an all encompassing glow began to wash over her body. She wasn't interested in half measures, he'd pissed her off. "Failsafe," Ishtar rasped as he reappeared in that central area that she'd been walking towards, "I'd appreciate it if my quirk didn't accidentally kill our impromptu allies, at least for now," She said offhandedly and took in the actions of the students. Each of their names appearing in her hud after factial recognition did it's work.
"Pale Chaser..." The villainess whispered, closed her eyes and processed the perpsectives of her drones, motes, pingpong sized spheres of light began to form in a clustered ring around the battlefield, creating a wall of glowing death that would irradiate any that touched the little spheres. No escape. She crossed her arms behind her back and tilted her head to the right, staring unblinking at the man as he was confronted by the students. He'd play with them, she assumed, and avoid their attacks. But no matter where he went as long as he engaged in the battle, he would be a target for her spheres once he swapped space again.
In the meantime, she watched the young heroes fight. She had no experience with them and was not interested in accidentally brushing up against one of the young hopefuls and killing them on accident. She'd observe and support while building strength for her next series of attacks.
TLDR!
-- Ishtar observes the situation and starts to analyze the functionality of the opposing quirk. -- Ishtar syncs up with her drones to give her a better vantage on the battlefield. -- Ishtar asks Revision to use her quirk to prevent Pale Dawn from harming their temporary student allies. -- Ishtar uses the named techniques 'Halo of Dawn' and 'Pale Chaser' -- Halo of Dawn coats her body in an 'armor' of pale dawn, making touching her dangerous and allowing her to use follow up techniques that involve high density radiation. Pale chaser creates a mine field of motes of pale dawn light around the area that she can send hurtling at a target if necessary.

Post by Yukine Kobayashi on Sept 12, 2023 2:42:05 GMT
The errand had been Jackie’s harebrained idea, spurred by a thirty-year-old t.v. show. If Japanese toddlers could be entrusted to run errands on their parents’ behalf with full independence, Jackie hypothesized that such a task would be a fair assessment of Yukine’s own mental prowess and improvement. She’d send him on errands, at the very least to get out of the house, but also with the hope that such errands would mitigate his spells of amnesia.
As a precaution, however, Jackie had placed a GPS at the base of the exo-suit’s head.
It was thus that Yukine found himself in the heart of Tokyo, clutching a large sticky note that was the same size as his torso. He moved quickly through the crowd, dodging the footfalls of hapless passersby. Yukine couldn’t even be mad at their carelessness, for he was so small compared to them– but he’d be lying if he said that the thought of zapping their ankles hadn’t crossed their mind.
A concussive pulse of purple electricity flattened buildings and threw people from their feet, and Yukine gave a modulated, metallic shriek as he was thrown into a bush, branches ensnaring him. Residual sparks and arcs skittered down his limbs and over his head. His vision faltered, but a few flickers of optics brought the world back into dizzying focus.
Had he lungs, he would have coughed, but instead the fans in his chest whirred against the dust that the wave of destruction had kicked-up.
“Shhhh-it,” the robot intoned, the reluctant swear croaking out of the speaker on his chin. It seemed a humorous sentiment for one so small. He pried his arm from the branch, which had caught him as easily as an emptied chip-bag. His other arm followed, and then his body lolled stiffly forward. The drooping weight was enough to free his legs, too, and he stumbled onto the hard-packed dirt.
Yukine picked his way out of the bush, now half-uprooted, stumbling into the open. LED’s winked as the optics behind them drank-in the chaos around them, which only half-registered in the electric amnesiac’s mind– people caught in nets like fish– a man flickering in and out of existence like an optical illusion incarnate. All… quite dizzying… to say the least. And he felt like he… recognized that shock of silver hair from… somewhere…
It was the statuesque woman’s familiarity that held him. His disjointed mind understood her to be important– or, at least, important to someone he knew– but he couldn’t quite place his finger on to whom, or how. Regardless… if she was an acquaintance, and if she was important, Yukine wanted to help– even if he was less than a meter tall. Perhaps… perhaps he could use that. The miniscule robot skirted behind the much larger co-combatants, trying to get closer to the black-clad villain.
Many times before, when he still resided in the walls of his childhood home, Yukine had deterred ill-intentioned squatters by zapping them from the walls. He recalled, time after time, their limbs locking-up and faces going rigid. And maybe… just maybe… if he could send some electricity skittering through the villain… the heavy-hitters would have time to… well, hit.
Yukine took refuge behind a felled garbage can, eyeing the unfolding conflict. He just had to remember… remember how he felt all those times that people had threatened and defaced his precious home… how much worse would that be to have… a friend… threatened like that? Like Jackie?
Black electricity arced over his arms, a hum welling-up inside of him, building in magnitude, charging, until like a water balloon that had taken too much water, the surge burst forth from him.
“Leave them alone!” the diminutive robot demanded. A wave of black skittered towards the villain, crackling like lightning as it went. It was possible, given Yukine’s small stature, that he’d managed to go unnoticed. Should that have been the case, however, it would have opened anyone caught in the line of his attack by their unawares. Anyone whose feet were touching the ground would have found their limbs locking, heart murmuring, and potentially thrown from their feet. …and Yukine hoped like hell that the villain would be the lone victim of that attack.

The Enlightened smirked as he continued to pull Bun in; her attempt to skewer him wasn’t something he was worried about. He could feel her presence even if he couldn’t see her properly. When you controlled space, this was just something you could do; he didn’t question it. He planned to continue to bring Bun closer, but then…
“Who in the hell..?” Takeo’s attempt would manifest the hand, but as it squeezed, it met an impenetrable force as if a wall was blocking it. The Enlightened would force this hand to dissipate; his demeanor had changed until he locked onto Takeo. “Try that again, I DARE you” he had stepped on a proverbial landmine. “The void is my domain, kid, and my control over it is immeasurable.” The green glow stopped, dropping Bun in place as all of the forward momentum was immediately cancelled. “An expansion of your quirk into MY domain only-” his formerly green hand crackled with energy which encircled and then merged into a yellow energy “-makes more trouble for you! Huh, This is a new one.” his anger faded as his grin appeared once more.
When they appeared, he became aware of the landmines Ishtar had set almost immediately. “Oh, this is a perfect test. At least you have a helpful one with you!” he aimed his hand with the yellow glow over a path of mines as a yellow square formed before it shot out and cleaved through the ground in the path he chose, completely obliterating anything in its path as if it was atomized. “Nice!” he was about to exit the minefield when he was completely caught off guard for the first time today as he felt a force strike his shoulder ‘When did…?’ It caused him to stagger momentarily, and then that sensation turned to anger. Why couldn’t he detect this one? It had different properties than the others. He had only sensed in the last few seconds before impact.
The onslaught wasn’t over as Yukine sent lightning arcing forward. Now, THIS was very clear to him and easier to anticipate. He assumed one of the two women who had disappeared from his sight had done so. More likely, the taller one as the shorter one had disappeared entirely.
He was growing more annoyed as he didn’t anticipate coordination to this degree, and he needed to put some distance or, rather…chaos into the area while he waited for his watch to finish. ‘A minute won’t cause any issues' he thought as the white glow disappeared, replaced by a red one.
“My turn” he said ominously, with those closest to him being able to feel a surge of energy (A- Presence). First, he would grip the arrow, starting to disappear with his red hand, and the energy would begin to crackle and overflow. He may not have been able to see, but he had a pretty good sense of trajectory so he took the arrow and threw it back in May’s direction with double the force and speed (B-) as before once the lightning was closer he would form a ripple in space and twist it, altering the trajectory while also increasing it’s potency (B-) and directing it towards Ishtar.
From there, he would escape through the path he cleared early but, for good measure, would fire another yellow square at Takeo as he repositioned himself as far away from May as possible, aiming to make sure she couldn’t get a clear shot. He managed to bump into a rock in the process, which should have been something he could normally easily avoid. “Tch. Not worth it.” he would remove the Red AND Yellow glow simultaneously, replacing them with white and green, respectively. “Much better. Please don’t tell me that’s all you guys and gals can do. I haven’t even begun to warm up!” a taunt as he quickly checked his watch.
Not yet, but soon. —---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR - Takeo's attack fails, meeting some invisible force - Bun is dropped mid-pull (total momentum cancel) as The Enlightened swaps from Green to Yellow - He creates a yellow square that atomizes a path through the landmines that Ishtar set up for him to move freely out of it. - He is struck by May's arrow, which was noticeably harder to anticipate for him - He switches the white to Red and manages to overcharge May's arrow and throw it back in her direction and does the same to Yukine's lightning (Both are set to B-) and redirects it towards Ishtar. - Leaves the minefield - Sends another yellow cube at Takeo - Bumps into an avoidable rock before swapping back to White and Green.

The Moon Rabbit! WAS EVERYONE JUST OUT TO JAB AT HER HEIGHT?! DAMN! Even one of her allies were out here calling her shorty! If there was a good time for some loud record to CONVENIENTLY scratch randomly, this would have been the perfect time! Rather than close her eyes to brace for impact, she kept her eyes open and brought her arms up to cover her face. Just because she made those bridges, didn't mean they'd conveniently meld into her flesh or whatever. No, no...she had to worry about splinters and breakage almost as much as the next person on the receiving end! Sure, she could control the materials and what not consisting of her bridges...buuuuuuuut it wasn't without its flaws and there was a damn good chance she'd get injured all the same. Knowing where and how it would break was an unpredictable pattern when it came to outside sources, guesstimating how that would play out was like trying to win the lottery if the other person, or herself, rigged how the bridge would get destroyed... ...so she was just gonna go on that whole wing, hope and a prayer nonsense and try to work with the broken bits of her bridges as best as she could. It was all she could do... .....but nothing happened. The petite woman's body stopped moving rapidly forward all on its own like it was part of some haunted house attraction and flumped backwards on her butt with a wince, a big ol' bushy rabbit tail tipped with red popping up like a delayed air bag pushed her body up a lil bit. Using that small boost to get on her feet with a soft, grumbled, "I gotta time that better, geeze..." squinting between the gaps of the panels from her...surprisingly still in tact bridge. "Bweep...the hell hapEEEEEEEEP!" YUP and as she was trying to figure out what was going on with the world around her, she just straight up got electrocuted. FANTASTIC! The rest of her body FLOUFED up to fully transform into her rabbit form, breaking her poor...unsuspecting shoes and she scrambled up like a panic ridden cat, clinging onto the bridge while looking around in a panic. WHO THE HELL ZAPPED HER?! IT WAS JUST A LIL SHOCK, BUT STILL! Was it that white haired guy or what?! ...no, it couldn't be, some new voice cried out to leave them alone before...so it was an accident, probably. With her heart racing and body lightly twitching from her nerves getting an unpleasant surprise, bits of black static danced upon her fibrous fur for a moment, looking like a bundle of poofed up fluff. "Bwugh.." Clinging onto the arrow shaped bridge, she inspected the ground and noticed the electricity was finally gone. Letting out a heavy sigh, she had to get her head back in the game and help these folks stop this....misguided jerk or whatever! Wiggling her nose slightly and a subtle twitch of her whiskers, she noticed the green seemed gone for a moment's time and rave master over here had more than just purple and green nonsense goin' on. Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic. If she wasn't preoccupied with trying to recover from getting zapped earlier, maybe she could have had a better opportunity to make some observations, try cook up a plan but...nada. All she could piece together is all those colors linked to different things, so she tried to keep a mental note of what colors she saw... Green...the one that seemed to be specific control gravitational pull or something. Then the mystery colors were white, red and yellow. Two at a time...so he could do two different things at once, maybe...? That arrow shaped bridge started to break apart, she at least had time to use it like a resource pack...but she had choices to make. Ones she had to make quickly...god she wasn't sure if her hearing was screwed up or if one of the newer girls that showed up to help claimed to be some villain queen..? Honestly? That didn't bother her any, the woman seemed like she was helping and from her mother's old lifestyle? She knew not all villains were total trash heaps, the label was different for everyone and the sweater title wasn't one size fits all. Sure, the school might throw a hissy fit about students helping a big bad villain, but was the villain so bad if they were trying to help save people? Nah, not in her grey scale book of life... The wooden bridges began splitting apart, the planks moving upward like little, stationary platforms. Although her steps were a bit more muffled from the padding of her feet, if someone had a very keen ear & pin point different sounds, they probably could hear her hopping up from plank to plank as the rails hovered, following her on each side in the shape of X's. Hoping that the guy wouldn't hear her, she got a better view of her handiwork that wouldn't have been possible without Phantom Hand Man's help. Counting each of the planks in her head, she had about twelve to work with...hopefully that was gonna be enough! Standing several feet above on two hovering planks, the height she kept her planks sturdy at were about the height of a basketball hoop, as if she was standing on the tip top. It wasn't super high, but it was high enough for what she needed... ...hopefully, anyway. Moving her hands up from her sides, her mind focused on the wooden planks first...the two she stood on remained still, maintaining X shaped rails to hover at the left and right of her. However, the other ten planks moved into a circular position quickly directing three towards the pink haired archer girl, two planks obstructed the charged arrow's path and the third hovered into a stopped position slightly above the archer. It was easily within reach, the positioning in such a way that was sturdy enough to be stood upon. Flattening her hand for a moment, seven planks were left to be be distributed...she could do this... ...maybe. Whisking her hand, she kept the same number three in mind before trying a similar method as an act of defense for the Villain Queen woman, except two of the planks were like a little wall to hopefully obscure the lightning, with the third sitting itself in the air flat like a platform that had a sturdiness that could support being stood upon. Much like the one she set up before, it was easily within reach for the woman with snowy white locks. Pointing two fingers towards the remaining four planks, she motioned towards the black haired guy who helped her before and then gave a nickname based on her height, not the nicest thing...but she'd get even with him by scamming him when all was said and done later. ...ya know, as long as they didn't die. Two of the planks zipped towards The Hand-y Man, one trying to smack into that diabolical, yellow cube thing and the other above within reach, though his was sturdy enough to stand on...it was a little less stable. The way his platform plank was set up, it could be used for standing on or pulled out of the air with a sturdy tug. With the remaining two planks, she noticed a little..robot...guy...? Well...it looked like he was off the white haired guy's radar and she didn't want to risk drawing attention to them, so she decided to fling those down towards the white haired man and took in a deep breath... ...maybe she'd regret this, giving out her location and all that jazz, but none the less...she shouted out at the top of her lungs, "WHAT'S THE DEAL, HERE, HUH?! WHADDAYA EVEN GET OUTTA DOING ALL THIS CRAP?!" Then she held her hands out, the rope ridden bridge she used to catch folks from being severely hurt became undone. Those ropes now being flung at their gravity controlling assailant like someone threw a handful of tangled spaghetti that would pile on top of the guy if it had the chance in an effort to keep em' in place. "YER ANGLE, MOTIVE, WHATEVER!" She could feel her body start breaking into a cold sweat and a subtle headache was beginning to creep up on her...she definitely didn't pace herself very well, sure, but hopefully she could keep hanging in there long enough to help! Whether it was the fact she was starting to feel a little light headed or not, she wanted to try getting some answers since the guy seemed like a chatter box who wasn't doing this purely for fun. The edge of her tone softened a bit, yet it was still clear she was frustrated over all this, "...everyone's got somethin' goin' for em', so...seriously, what's the deal? Why all of this...?" Motioning towards everything, she kept it locked in her head what he said before since something was terribly off, "You don't like this anymore than we do, right?"(TLDR AREA....) Bun fell backwards after being free from the gravity pull, she is now in anthro bunny mode after being ZAPPED, got on top of her arrow shaped bridge, trying to see what's going on for a moment. Didn't get to observe a lot due to her vision being skewed + the small zap before it got redirected, got to mostly see just color changes & took mental notes about the colors + he seems only able to do 2 at a time. Bun's not being targeted at the moment, so she's assessing things and using her old bridges as resource packs. The wooden planks (12) are making a platformer style stair case in the air. Hops to each plank as she gets a higher vantage point, X shaped rails on her left and right sides. Finishes her hops at the height of a basketball hoop, standing on TWO planks that are staying still in the air. TEN planks get into a circle above the chaos and are being distributed. THREE planks to May (7 remain undistributed at this point of the post): 2 obstructing the path of the arrow, 1 set as a flat platform within reach, yet above. It's set/fixed in place, would sturdy enough to stand on! THREE planks to Ishtar (4 remain undistributed at this point of the post): 2 sideways like a little wall to hopefully get in the way of the lightning, 1 set within reach as a platform sturdy enough to stand on. TWO planks to Takeo (2 remain undistributed at this point of the post): 1 was flung at the yellow doom cube, 1 was left as a somewhat stable platform, it's sturdy enough to stand on, but can be pulled out of position if Takeo uses his hand to grab it. TWO planks flung down in GRAVITY MAAAAAAAAN's general direction. Remember the rope bridge that was used like a net to catch people? It's back! And now being flung over like a pile of messy noodles at gravity spaceman dude, if they make successful contact, it'll make an effort to pile on him to keep him in place. An additional effort is made to see if she can get the guy to talk and say something about his motives in all of this, but she is feeling some fatigue from all the crap she was doing earlier ;v; Oopsie poopsie, she didn't pace herself SUPER WELL by spreading herself so thin with her quirk usage, thus, feelin' that discomfort! She's still standing on the two platforms at the same height of standing on the tip top of a basketball hoop. -> Up next -> Takeo Hoga! Obligatory tags for Matsu! May Twenty-First! Sonya Chernovna! Yukine Kobayashi! GO GO HOMIE RANGERS!

[attr="class","shinigami"] Holding on tight A shiver ran down Takeo’s spine when the older woman stepped onto the scene, introducing herself as the Queen of Villains. Wasn’t that Ishtar- that infamous villain who was supposed to have an incredibly deadly quirk? For a terrifying moment he thought the two might’ve been in league- which would’ve turned this encounter from a harrowing endeavor to a downright slaughter. Thankfully however, it seemed she was on their side. For now, at least. Before he had time to register the other strange arrival and their electricity-based attack, Takeo felt his psionic hand disappear as soon as it grabbed the figure. This guy could even get rid of GRIP? Thankfully, whatever he’d done hadn’t damaged it. Any severe enough damage the hand sustained was reflected onto his own body. That meant he must’ve dispelled his power somehow rather than annihilated it. Interesting… Speaking of, the villain’s hands kept glowing different colors- each seeming to represent a different power. Did this guy have multiple quirks? That shouldn’t be possible…there had to be something they all had in common. He didn’t have much time to think about it before one of those yellow cubes came at him. Caught off guard, he wasn’t able to manifest his hand quickly enough to pull himself out of the way. Thankfully, Shorty had tossed a plank towards him. Though Takeo lacked muscle mass, he was surprisingly dextrous, and well trained when it came to acrobatics. Maneuvering his weight, he spun himself around the plank like a trapeze artist until he stood on top of it. While he did so, part of his pants had gotten stuck inside the yellow cube when it went off. Instantly, a chunk of his pant leg was atomized- revealing the bone-thin leg underneath. Sweat poured down Takeo’s brow, his heart hammering as he realized he’d only been an inch or two from losing a limb. He could feel that panic starting to take over, preventing him from focusing like he needed to. Breathe. He told himself, gathering his bearings. Once he was put together enough, he snapped back into focus. Manipulating his synapses, he manifested another psionic hand. It immediately put its fingers down towards the ground, stretching them out and rotating rapidly like a drill. A second or two later, it *smashed* into the concrete below, tunneling underneath them. The villain shouldn’t be able to track where it was going now- or at least, Takeo hoped he couldn’t. If he could get his attack in range before the purple man noticed it, he might be able to get a hit off like May had. Shorty was trying to get some sort of motive out of the villain. He could respect the valiant attempt at justice and the humanity of it…if the dude hadn’t blown up several blocks. At this point, Takeo didn’t care if he was being mind controlled or blackmailed. He had to be stopped first, and questions could be asked later. ”Try and dodge this, bastard.”A few seconds later, the hand would emerge, still spinning, and try to strike at the villain from directly underneath him. [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass] TL;DR - Takeo freaks out at seeing Ishtar, though is grateful to realize she's on their side - Barely starts to notice Yukine before he gets distracted seeing his GRIP disappear - Manages to dodge the yellow cube with the help of Bun's plank- though part of his pant leg gets snagged inside and destroyed, revealing his bone-thin leg - Starts to panic before reeling himself back in - Manifests another GRIP, this time has it point down towards the ground and rotate rapidly like a drill, tunneling underneath the concrete - Doesn't have as much mercy in his heart as Bun; feels the villain needs to be stopped first - Taunts the villain as the hand comes shooting out of the ground underneath the villain

May Twenty-First//Artemis [attr="class","skep-img"] [attr="class","skep-content"] [attr="class","ray-img"] “Help. Please. Mommy? Daddy?”[break][break] A small voice echoed up from the floor below, finding May’s ears as her arrow sailed through the air, landing a surprising hit on their foe. It was followed by a series of attacks which she could barely comprehend let alone see herself in the middle of. What was she supposed to do against odds like that? The man was manipulating the space around him with several different quirks. How was that even possible? [break][break] “…Please.”[break][break] May turned to look over the edge of the building. She could just barely see where the voice was coming from. A young girl pinned beneath the debris in the shop blow. The pile of rubble atop her threatening to bury her along with the others had already been. [break][break] “Hey, shh. Just breathe ok? I’m going to come down and get you out of there!”[break][break] There was no response. The young girl seemed to be in and out of consciousness. May winced internally and stood up, just in time for the returned arrow to slam into the blank that Bun had thrown towards her. It’s ripple of energy washed over her in a wave that nearly threw her right off the building. But she managed to keep her feet, staring in shell-shock at the arrow clinging to the floating board. [break][break] ~That could have been my head if that board hadn’t been there. I’ll have to buy the girl an extra big milkshake after this is all over. Milkshakes all around.~[break][break] She wanted to consider things further, But there were more important things at hand. May didn’t hesitate to leap off the ledge, landing atop the pile of rubble below. Sliding down it like some sort of debris surfing hero. Junk Rider, now THAT was a hero name for the ages. [break][break] When she got low enough she’d push off landing with the grace of a ballerina on the floor not far from the young girl. Who knew that her circus training would come in useful so soon? She hurried over to the young girl, who was flinching in pain. Her legs were trapped beneath a huge chunk of cement, likely from one of the sundered walls that had collapsed inwards from the attack that had levelled the area. [break][break] “It hurts.” The girl said between small sniffles. [break][break] May hurried over and placed a hand on the girls shoulder, “I’m here to help. Can you move your legs?”[break][break] The little girl wiggled her toes experimentally and nodded, “Mm…Mmhmm.” She responded. [break][break] “That’s good. You’re going to be A-ok! Promise. But I’m going to need your help ok?”[break][break] “It huuuurts!” The girl sobbed. [break][break] “Deep breaths. Tell me, do you have anyone in your family you look up to? Maybe a big brother or sister?”[break][break] The girl looked confused but nodded, “M…My big brother.”[break][break] “Awesome. So I’m going to need to be just like him for a few minutes ok? Big and strong, ok?”[break][break] The girl gave a small sniffle and nod. [break][break] May moved a big closer to the stone, “Ok. I’m going to lift this big stone and when I do, I need you to get out from under it as quick as you can. And then after we make sure you’re ok, you’re going to run right out that back door and you’re not going to stop until you find someone ok?”[break][break] “B…But I want to stay with you. I'm scared.” She begged. [break][break] “I know it's scary, But it’s not safe here, but tell you what. If you get out from under that rock as quickly as you can, and you run until you find someone. I’ll come visit after I’m done here ok?”[break][break] “Promise?”[break][break] May put on the biggest smile she could, “Promise!”[break][break] “Now take a deep breath. Get ready to get out of there. One. Two. Three!”[break][break] May grabbed the edge of the rock and flexed with every single muscle her body could muster. By no means was she in bad shape, but she was not a hero of strength. She wasn’t like the heroes in her class who could lift a mountain with their pinkie. But for now, right now. She needed to be. She needed to be that hero in this moment. May’s muscles burned as she lifted with her back as much as her legs. The safety commission would have fainted if they’d seen her. [break][break] But sometimes, a bit of pain was more than worth it. [break][break] May was shaking by the time the stone shifted, by the time it lifted. And thankfully, the young girl was quick to scramble out, stumbling on a ground covered in loose stones and debris. As soon as May was sure she was clear she let the stone slip from her fingers. She panted heavily, her hands shook from the exertion and the muscles in her back screamed at her… [break][break] ~I need to stop skipping leg day. C’mon May. You can do this. Even if you only save one, it’s worth it.~[break][break] …But she kept smiling. She turned to the young girl, taking a moment to look her over. She could hear the sounds of action back in the crater. She knew the others might need her, “You did great. Now just a second…” May tugged off her archers vest, Tugging it over the girls form to help give her some decency as her dress was basically hanging by a thread and May’s vest was so big on her it covered her right up. What sort of hero would she be if she let the girl run half naked to safety? [break][break] The girl was sniffling, shivering. This was probably the worst day of her life. The sight of her tugged at May’s heartstrings, and in some ways. Ignited the fire in her. How could someone be so cruel as to do all this? How could someone with a flick of their finger, end the lives of so many? [break][break] ~I won’t stand for it. I’ll stop him with the others, no matter what.~[break][break] May gritted her teeth and looked towards the door which hung morbidly on it’s frame by a single hinge, “Now. You run out that door and keep going! Don’t stop until you find someone else. And then, the two of you keep going until you find more. And I’ll check on you as soon as I make sure everyone else is safe.”[break][break] The little girl nodded, “T…Thank you Miss Hero. Don’t forget your promise!” She said hurriedly and then darted out the door. May watched her go and as she stood there, the smile melted from her face, replaced by a look of determination. She gritted her teeth and turned, climbing stone-over-stone back up to the second floor where she was surprised to find the arrow fired at her. Energy was bleeding off of it like it had been overcharged or something. [break][break] ~I didn’t fire it with that much power. What is going on?~[break][break] Experimentally, may reached out, grabbing onto the arrow. Her arrows were unique in the fact that they weren’t really physical objects so much as they were energy, converted into semi-physical form. So picking one up was always a strange feeling, like she was holding air. But this air. This air was different. [break][break] She let out a sharp cry as her fingers clasped around the arrow. It was like someone struck her with lightning. Energy arced up into her arm. It was painful, it was…foreign like some sort of different liquid had been pushed into her veins. But at the same time, it was energizing. She watched as the arrow dissipated between her fingers, it’s excess energy curling around the time-telling tattoo on her arm. Confusion etched itself into her brows as she watched the bottom two layers of her tattoo shudder and come to a halt. Not once in twenty years had that clock ever stopped. All the symbols on her tattoo were shaking on the surface of her skin. [break][break] Clasping her fingers experimentally. Her whole arm ached. But it was like someone had injected lightning into her veins. She couldn’t see it, but there was a slight glow in her eyes, like she was giving off her own energy. She looked out over the crater as she lifted her bow. Taking stock of what was happening in the center. A little robot had joined the fray alongside Ishtar while the black haired boy was launching his hand into the earth like a drill. May was relived to see that the girl being pulled in earlier was ok. [break][break] May lifted her bow, taking a bead on the blindfolded man. On the man who’d caused so much destruction. Who’d left a young girl crying in the rubble. She felt her blood boil, felt that energy surge down her arm as she drew her bowstring back, putting every ounce of energy she currently had into the shot. As it came to a full draw, the arrow shuddered aggressively in it’s notch, energy sparking around it. She was surprised that the dark void of unconsciousness wasn’t sneaking up on her. [break][break] Her heart thumped loudly in her ears like a drum. The world around her seemed to quiet as she follow the scene and took aim. Previously ten minutes of time would have exhausted her to the point of collapse. But to her surprise as she’d drawn the bow back she had felt whatever energy that had been in the arrow, combining with her own lifeforce, supplementing the energy as it was drawn from her. [break][break] “This is either going to be the dumbest or the coolest thing I’ve ever done.” She said, to nobody in particular. For in this scenario, she was the sniper. The lone soul making decisions from afar and lending what aid she could from a distance. [break][break] “Hey Dad, Mum, Uncle Satori. Watch this awesome move and tell me I shouldn’t be a hero again.”[break][break] She gritted her teeth and flexed the bowstring, “Twenty minute shot.” She whispered almost reverently. Ready to surrender that piece of her to this fight, for the greater good… [break][break] …And then she let he arrow loose. She let out a cry of pain as the arrow loosed, she could feel her quirk tugging the life out of her, igniting the pain in her very cells. It was painful, unpleasant. She felt the force of the bowstring cut into her fingertips, making her a new member of the men-in-black by erasing two of her fingerprints in an instant. She ignored the blood running down her hand as a wave of nausea rushed over her and she watched the arrow tear across the battlefield, ribbons of shadow and light curling around it as it rippled through the air. It would be like getting hit with a sledgehammer being swung at terminal velocity if it hit. [break][break] [break][break] Was it too much? [break][break] ‘Thanks Miss Hero.’[break][break] The words of that little girl rang in her ears even over the thrumming of her own heartbeat. Absolutely it was worth it. [break][break] Whether her arrow landed or not, May would take the moment to leap onto the board hanging above her in the air. Hoping to the gods it would holder it. It did, she thanked her gymnastics instructor in her head as she leveraged herself up onto it and leapt the four feet to the top of the building, nearly falling backwards off the ledge as she barely made it. The building below her swayed ominously. At least she could try and jump clear if it crumbled. [break][break] May turned her gaze over the battlefield, her bow still held in a bloodied hand as mother nature saw fit to roll a breeze over her, tossing pink strands of hair to the side that had long since escaped their ponytail at the back of her head. Managing to be saved from the returned arrow by Bun's planks! [break][break] She decides to pick up the arrow and manages to absorb the excess energy which gives her a fairly significant and temporary boost to her abilities letting her let loose a supercharged arrow of her own in response. [break][break] She climbs into the belly of the ready-to-collapse building to help a young girl out from beneath the rubble and realizes it's bad to skip leg day. Manages to free her and send her off before climbing back to the third floor of the building to get a better view of the crater once again and see if she had another angle for a shot.)
