Ishtar crosses her arms behind her back, watching the fight as it begins to break out in earnest. Her lips thin tightly as she takes in more details, specifics about the man's quirk. It was a puzzel of colors, details that she was having to record and parse out in the background as she considered different variables. The glow around her body remains steady, the armor protecting her even as debris are kicked up now and then. Just as they get close to her body they freeze over, lose momentum, and fall to the ground.
Yellow atomized her minefield. She clicked her tongue. That was annoying. Did that mean she had to put forth effort here?
A flash of black lightning erupts form somehwere and she turns her head to see the source. Her eyes widen the moment she spots Yukine. The glow around her body fading immediately as she let out a cry of delight, skipping over towards Yukine. "Yu ki ne! Oh hello dearie! What on earth are you doing out here!" The enthusiastic villain crowed, ignoring the fight all together as she reached down and swept the little darling up into her hands.
That was when the lightning came back in her direction. Ishtar turned her head slowly as it came her way.
BOOM
The black lightning crashed into a panel of the purest white light. She stared at it, a faint hum of energy thrumming around it but otherwise no damage had been dealt to the glowing, radioactive hard light. Ishtar looked through it at the man who had just sauntered through her minefield and had the gall to attack someone she was fond of. She was already holding back her rage over involving the adorable May, who she was supporting as Sonya. But now he attacked the absolute cutest creature, Yukine?
Ishtar stood there, a silhouette, only her hot-pink eyes glowing as the light from the panel took contrast from her. She set down Yukine before kicking off the ground and using a conveniently placed wooden platform to intensify her approach. The glow around her body intensifying in an instant back to the pale armor. The amplified muscles in her body helped her cross the distance at the speed of a trained speedster. Her arm wrenched back as her fingertips curled. Around her, the remaining mines had turned into spears of white light.
Everything happened in an instant; Raw bloodlust directed at her target, her blow ready to come into contact just as the hand from Takeo lances out of the ground to grab hold of him from below. The spears of light lash out from all directions, intending on turning the man into a pin cushion while Ishtar's fingertips begin glowing with an intensity that flash-freezes the air. "Gatecrasher." She snarls, bringing her fist down with her enhanced strength and releasing the built up energy as an explosion of murderous light.
tldr
Ishtar observes their opponent, unhappy with the results of her mine field but uninterested in going all out just yet. Ishtar sees Yukine Ishtar wants to snug Yukine. Backlash of black lightning is blocked by hard light panel. Ishtar is pissed. Ishtar kicks off the ground at full B- speed. Ishtar turns the remaining mines into spears and has them converge on her target. Ishtar brings down her fist with B- strength and releases a blast of pale dawn S+ energy.

Post by Yukine Kobayashi on Sept 18, 2023 1:28:08 GMT
The wave of electricity was by no means subtle– and the villain responded with ease, steering the attack away from him and towards the familiar silver-haired woman, and a number of the others in attendance.
Yukine gave a dismayed shout, his vocalizer pitching as if a glitch were befalling him. Apparently, such emotional sounds put a strain on the speakers built-in to his body. Thankfully, his attack was easily weathered– or, at least, no one died.
The silver-haired woman threw a luminous white shield, which protected herself and her miniscule compatriot. And, no sooner had the silver-haired woman endured the attack, was she upon the diminutive quirker. In an instant, the robot was swept into the woman’s arms and held tightly to her in an embrace. Indecent. Immodest. Plain emasculating–
“Errand running for Jackie-” was the embarrassed response, “I-I-Ishtar-san, i-is now really the… the best time for… for this?!”
He may have been less than a meter tall, but… a man needed to maintain his dignity! A fan began to whir in his chest again, indicative that his mechanical shell had begun to warm. Sure, in the proper contexts, very few would have protested being held by a pretty lady, but right now it was… really uncool! Yukine couldn’t see the villain from this angle, and that meant he couldn’t attack. And that sent a shudder down Yukine’s spine.
Thankfully, after a brief greeting, Yukine was set down and his dignity was returned to him. He staggered a bit as he regained his balance, quickly scrabbling away as Ishtar ran full-tilt towards the villain. He lacked the raw power to attack like that, and also had no way to defend others, with his size. But… his power had been significant enough to draw the villain’s attention. And… perhaps that was something he could capitalize on.
Yukine stepped over rubble and found his way to a car that had been pushed half onto the curb. He tucked his hand into the space where the spokes of the rim met the center, hoisting himself up. He scaled the tire and hoisted himself onto the hood of the car. He stood there for a moment, feeling prone and frankly terrified. Before cupping his hands near the speaker on his chest.
“H-hey, you o-overblown stoplight!” the robot called, his voice cutting through the din of the fight like the whine of a mosquito, “Yeah, I’m talking to you, glowworm! Th-think you’re so hot, bullying a- a bunch of kids and a- a g-grandma with your light-up powers?!”
O-kay, the hood of the car was starting to feel a little too exposed, so Yukine hopped down, jogging towards the rear of the car before resuming his shit-talking.
“In- in Adachi, no less!! Y-you couldn’t find Tokyo proper if your life depended on it! Pathetic! Sad!”
He couldn’t land a hit. He couldn’t protect anyone else. But maybe he could agitate the villain enough to make him sloppy, and let someone else do something really cool.
Yukine just had to keep moving– he had to keep running, and he had to keep running his mouth.
“I bet- I bet your momma helped you with your terrorist plan!”
He darted in the opposite direction, an absurd little laugh burbling up from within him. This was pure insanity– but in a way, it was kind-of fun.
“I bet it was done-up in construction paper and glitter glue! Not even the good stuff, but the generic stuff that tears if you erase it too hard!”
Yukine planted both of his feet, waving his arms wildly at the villain.
“You hear me, you second-rate nitwit?! Do you understand? At best, you’d get a thirty-second news-spread, and even that’s being generous!”

Perhaps he had underestimated them.
With the white glow back, he could keep his "eyes" on the battlefield more. The counterattack had begun after his display of power and while he wouldn't admit it, this was more resistance than he had anticipated. Whether they were aware or not they all worked well together. Enough that he wondered if they were all strangers. "What an interesting display." he said tauntingly towards Takeo in particular after dealing with his quirk. "Is that all you can do?" it was bait. He could feel what was coming next.
He would aim his fingers at Yukine before him being picked up and douse him with a green light before his balance was thrown off by the hand having dug through the ground below him. "Gotcha!" he would cross his arms as the force of the impact couldn't quite reach him through the white glow, instead pushing him upwards into the air to avoid the planks sent at him by Bun and the spears from Ishtar. Perhaps they weren't such a great team after all?
Landing, he would roll and bring himself back up, switching off the white glow in exchange for red, just in time for Ishtar to come at him with her fist. He would have noticed her sooner but the chattering of the little robot briefly distracted him which made his path all the more clear, he had put a target on his back. As she came down, his smile grew larger as he waited until she was close enough and would then swap places with Yukine, directing the flow of space with his Red hand to make them converge on each other by forcing Yukine's body upwards and into Ishtar's strike with more force and strength.
The little robot would be smashed to pieces by the resulting clash, his internals flying everywhere and leaving a crater of robot bits.
“One down” he said, laughing to himself as he jumped backwards to place some distance between him and the group. What he didn't consider was that without his sight, he was perfectly placed for May to strike. The supercharged arrow sailed through the air and collided with him a surge of energy, causing a small explosion at the impact site. When the smoke cleared, the Enlightened was injured with a burn mark on his back. As he spits up some blood, 'I thought she was out of the fight?' he stumbled for a moment, trying to catch his breath, only saved by redirecting some of the energy away from him or the arrow would have punched a hole through his insides.
"What a PAIN!" anger coated every word as he decided to do something drastic. Fiddling with his watch, he could see the tick mark was about 75% full, and with a few clicks, that lowered this to about 50%. The purple energy from before flared up briefly, surging around him as he took a deep breath and absorbed it all. The red and green glows disappeared from his hands as he clasped them together, red and yellow on each palm before they swirled together, forming a new glow: Orange. It enveloped both hands as the energy surged and crackled. He would assume a battle stance, taking these opponents seriously for the first time since he showed up.
How would they deal with these new combinations? —---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR - Takeo's attack connects but doesn't do any notable damage, just sending The Enlightened flying - This throws him out of Bun's planks and Ishtar's spears. - Swaps places with Yukine at the last moment, so he takes Ishtar's strike instead, ensuring he does by using Red Glow to direct Yukine upwards into her fist. - He is struck by May's supercharged arrow, which damages him moderately. - He fiddles with his watch and drains some of the excess power, absorbing this into himself. - Creates a new glow by combining Red and Yellow into Orange. - Assumes battle stance.

The Moon Rabbit! Wait... Huh? Nothing? Not even an attempt at a response to her whole line of questioning? .......well...to be fair, he was getting attacked by her allies, which was honestly part of her goal. The bunny-like woman let out a soft hfff from her nostrils as she tried to catch her breath. Though in a strange way, it seemed like he was showing her mercy...? Maybe she was over thinking it...but as far as she could tell, he targeted her once then stopped after that. Not so much as a blip on his radar...maybe it's because he knew part of her wanted to at least level and understand him? Gods, she could come up with theories like a rollodex, but since words weren't stopping him...not even as a solid distraction while trying to negotiate, she needed to take advantage of this breather. The feverish feeling was lingering throughout her petite form...but she had to keep helping these impromptu allies all around her. There were strategies bubbling about in her head, but someone who was proclaiming themselves as a queen of villains may not want to listen to some one like her. After all, she was a nobody and had to prove her worth to the world, it was gonna take time...but she was realistic when it came to her ambitions. There was going to be a whole lot of work and using people to climb the ladder, everyone was a stepping stone she'd treat well enough. As the chaos unfolded, she knew shit was gonna hit the fan soon since that little robot she really tried to avoid directing any attention towards had the affections of that queen. A woman who already proved to be someone that shouldn't be taken lightly with her show of power. Taking in a deep breath, her eyes darted around as she tried to figure out where everyone was once again. To some capacity or another, those who had her help were using it, they were a team and she'd make sure to support them until her body wouldn't let her... ...it's the least she could do to prove she was still useful. Exhaling as she held her arms out, she took mental notes rapidly within her mind, she was literally going to lift her allies up as high as she could. Sure, she wasn't sure what they'd all have to expect with the fact he could mix and match his colors to make something new...but she wasn't going to let that scare her. She'd been beaten and battered before, this guy was kind in comparison to Mr. Goodfellow, misguided maybe and kind of an asshole...but he wasn't a monster like that bastard. However, it was clear that no one would get resolution if he could keep moving and fiddling with his watch-- --wait he was goofing around with his watch? Did...did that have something to do with his powers?! Before she could blurt out her observations, she heard an all too familiar voice calling out to her and her long, floppy ear lightly twitched upon being dubbed Shorty. The guy needed a stronger net than before...okay, so she might not be able to move in a bit, but they didn't need to know that. All they needed was to succeed, maybe they would...or at least get closer to that. With a subtle nod of affirmation, she focused on the fibers being as strong as she could possibly make them, from the ropes that made up the rails, the planks rushed out form the fluff of her arms. Moving her hands in a circular shape, she could feel the feverish feeling plague her body further, forcing her footing to be sturdy as she grit her teeth, the bridges were spiraled, almost like a stair case. With a swift clap of her hands... CLAP-- --the rope rails ripped off of the wooden planks. CLAP-- --the ropes tied together and she began to feel light headed. Flicking her hands towards the guy who kept calling her shorty, the sturdy net flung towards him as she offered a tired smirk, "Catch~!" After chirping up that single word, she tapped her foot twice and the bridges started breaking apart to look even more like stairs. Pointing towards both the archer and bound to be angry villainess, she directed the bridges towards both of them, both of them set partially in the air. Twirling her fingers so they became more and more like a spiral stair case, then flicking her fingers so that the tops would go flat like a platform. A wave of light headedness hit her hard as it felt her temperature rise, her body just went limp and the petite rabbit woman collapsed forward. Soft, paced breathing passing her lips once she hit the ground and her eyes were barely open at this point...she may have pushed herself too much, but all of her planks were staying in place. She couldn't make anything further for now, but whatever she managed to set up for her team were sturdy enough to stay put. That was all she could do for now... ...at least she was still conscious for now. TLDR! Bun taking mental notes. Takeo requested a net, so she incorporates that in her plan! Pushed herself to make the strongest bridges and rope rails that she's capable of. Ripped those rope rails off the bridges to make a net, then sent it Takeo's way. Made spiral stair cases that end in a platform at the top for both May and Ishtar so they can get a higher vantage point with ease if they so wish! Bun collapses just as she's about to do something else, but has enough energy to keep everything in place in case her team uses them ;v; good luck, guys! Bun is still conscious at the moment, just not able to move. -> Up next -> Takeo Hoga! Obligatory tags for Matsu! May Twenty-First! Sonya Chernovna! Yukine Kobayashi! LET'S GO, TEAM!

[attr="class","shinigami"] Holding on tight Shit.Takeo’s eyes widened as he watched the purple man swap places with the small little robot at the last moment, leading to Ishtar utterly pulverizing the poor guy. A moment made so much darker by her reaction to him joining the fight- clearly the two knew each other and she’d been fond of him. Did…did he just die?He could feel himself starting to spiral as the weight of it hit him. It wasn’t like he knew that robot thing, or if it was even really a person. Still…it was fighting alongside them. Trying its best. Talking playfully with that infamous villain. What if the purple man teleported him in front of Ishtar’s next attack? He could feel his heart rate elevate, sweat coalescing on his brow. No no no, he couldn’t let himself get anxious now. Hesitation was defeat- and here, defeat could mean death. Using every ounce of courage and control available to him, he stuck to his breathing exercises and focused on the here and now. It was a robot, not a person. He was sure it was fine- he just had to focus on the fight and make sure nobody else got hurt. Now that he was calm enough to think again, he started going over what had happened. Even though his attack had landed, it didn’t seem to do any damage to the purple man. In fact, it unintentionally got in the way of Shorty and Ishtar’s attacks as well. The only person that seemed to make any headway against him was the archer once again. Was there something special about her quirk that was able to overcome his powers? Or was she simply the most experienced combatant? Regardless, they were disorganized. Their opponent was no joke- they’d need to work together if they had any hope of taking him down. His eyes swept the scene, revealing discord and chaos everywhere he looked. Somebody had to step up. It might as well be him. ”Shorty, make us another net. As thick of ropes as you can!” he called out to the bridge-making girl. ”Ishtar, Archer! Once I’ve got this guy locked down, I need you to unleash your attacks simultaneously. We’ll take him down in one big sweep!”By now Shorty had finished making what he asked her to, even going so far as to create stairs for Archer and Ishtar so they could get a better vantage point. He’d lock eyes with Shorty and nod before having his GRIP take hold of the net and rush towards the villain as quickly as it could. If his maneuver was successful, he’d pull the net over the purple man before holding the ends tightly in his GRIP, trapping him inside so the others could unleash their attacks. [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass] TL;DR - Momentarily horrified by Yukine seemingly being pulverized. Starts to panic at losing a comrade, as well as the idea of him potentially being the next person teleported in front of an Ishtar attack. - Using every ounce of control and courage to rationalize that Yukine was just a robot. Focuses on the battle now and making sure nobody else gets hurt. - Realizes that they are getting in each other's way and need to cooperate. - Takes the lead and gives orders. Tells Bun to make as sturdy a net as she can, and for Sonya and May to attack at the same time once he locks the villain down - Has his GRIP grab the net and rush over to the villain, attempting to drag it over him before grabbing the loose ends and holding them tightly together. Basically attempting to trap him in the net and hold it closed with his quirk

May Twenty-First//Artemis [attr="class","skep-img"] [attr="class","skep-content"] [attr="class","ray-img"] Everything was happening so quickly. She’d let loose her arrow and watch it thunder through the air. She’d never fired off that much power in one shot before so seeing the ripples of energy coming off of it as it rocketed outwards like a shooting star was interesting for at least a split second. But May’s attention was focused on the fight below, at the events that occurred. [break][break] It was a testament to each of them, that despite not knowing anything about one another. They managed to work together in a complimentary way. May firing in the blind spot of Takeo’s quirk, Bun using her quirk for utility, and the heavy hitter who’d arrived giving it her all… [break][break] …And then there was the little robot. A person bound in mechanical form. She couldn’t help but admire his bravery and words. But such things never seemed to last long enough. [break][break] Blind-Gravity-Space-Boy changed his tactics in a flash and for the first time since May had stepped on the road of heroics. She watched what she assumed was the death a comrade. It happened in a split second, one minute Ishtar was punching their adversary and the next her fist was slamming into the robot and exploding him into a thousand tiny pieces. May felt the wrench in her chest as it happened. He was just…gone. [break][break] ‘Catch!’[break][break] May didn’t have time to consider the loss of their comrade. Instead she found a spiraling ‘staircase’ forming next to her. Created by the tiny one from earlier. The staircase hung there, as if inviting her to a higher vantage point. Offering her yet another advantage. She was already a good twenty five feet off the ground and the staircase easily rose up another ten feet. It was a good thing she wasn’t afraid of heights. [break][break] Seeing as no counter had come after her last arrow she hurried towards the stairs, though her progress slowed significantly as she took her first step. She felt that familiar wave of nausea rushing over her. Felt that all-too-familiar dizziness wash over her. She’d already pushed herself WAY past her limits and as time went on it was catching up with her. She had only fired three arrows…She needed to do better than that. What good a hero would she be if she could only attack three times? [break][break] “Let’s go for four.” She said, tightening her jaw and rushing up the stairs carefully until she got to the top. Up here, the wind was a bit more vicious. If she hadn’t been confident in her footing, it probably could have just tossed her right off. But she was an archer, an acrobat. She knew how to keep her footing in most circumstances… [break][break] …But this was not most circumstances. By the time she reached the top that floaty feeling had started to build up in her head. The edges of her vision were darkened and as she crouched down to stabilize herself and take aim at the villain, she had to shake her head constantly, her whole world was twisting and turning. Three of everything swirled around each other in a confusing myriad. [break][break] A bead of sweat rolled down May’s forehead, “N…Not good.” She whispered, clenching her jaw tightly as if it would force blood to her head and help her focus. [break][break] She heard Takeo’s orders rolling up at her. They sounded like they were inside an echoing cave. [break][break] ‘…locked down…one big sweep.’[break][break] Those were the only words she managed to pick up. Takeo was going to try and lock the villain down and they’d attack in one big sweep? It was her best guess. She couldn’t think straight and would have to trust her gut, and moreso trust in her quirk. Because while she was a proficient archer with good aim, it was not the only reason she could shoot accurately. Activating her quirk provided an almost innate level of accuracy, high precision. She couldn’t make out WHICH of the villains she was supposed to be aiming at as she drew the bowstring back. [break][break] She felt the pull of energy as the arrow formed. She tried to feel out how much she could put into it but she couldn’t tell. [break][break] “Screw it. Take it all.” She growled, yanking the string back aggressively and tearing out her lifeforce and the foreign energy crackling through her veins, forcefully. The arrow exploded to life like a fiery mix of shadowy black and crisp white energy. Five minutes? Ten minutes? She had no idea that she’d drawn out the strongest arrow she’d ever formed before. Only five minutes more than her previous one, but still. Twenty five minutes packs a punch. [break][break] She wobbled on the edge of the platform as she lined up the show at the center of the three villains she was trying to aim at. She waited for her allies below to line things up and when the signal was given she would take a deep breath, go to full draw and launch what was likely her final attack in this fight. Like before it thundered through the air though the aim was clearly off, it would be significantly easier to dodge this time around if Gravity-Boy was paying attention. [break][break] May felt her bow shatter in her hands, felt the pain in her left hand from the explosion of energy and then her world darkened. She tipped forwards and with a soft, “Eat that…villain.”[break][break] And then she fell off the platform like a ragdoll. Her ability to focus and balance is becoming compromised. [break][break] - After a moment's consideration she notices the spiraling staircase Bun provided for her and quickly makes use of it, making it to the top without too much trouble. [break][break] - May only hears bits and pieces of Takeo's orders, but gathers the gist of it. She lines up another shot using up Twenty Five minutes of time this time. Though with her already seeing triple and having a hard time aiming it's likely her last attack. [break][break] - May Queues up her shot and let's loose as soon as the moment is right, when Takeo 'locks down' gravity boy. This shatters her bow, her left hand and is her official cap for quirk usage in this thread. [break][break] - May loses consciousness and falls from the platform.]

Even if i become
Time seemed to slow down. Ishtar's eyes going wide as the sudden shift caught her off guard. Her labyrinthine mind processing the events even faster than her heavily modified body could react to. Her fist moved as if through a gel, though she could not stop it. The impact was coming. Nothing could stop it. He had outplayed her. A drop of sweat dripped down her temple and onto her cheek, she had no tear ducts to weep from.
No.
Ishtar pleaded.
No no no. Don't make a liar out of me.
Her mind screamed against the moment. Memories of a promise to look after and protect darling Yukine rearing in her head like a firestorm. Her chest ached. Since when had she become so delicate that someone like this could injure her so? Now, her word, so precious to her. Tarnished. My word. My word. My word. My word. My word. My word. My word.
Tick tick tick tick tick tick. Tick tick. Ticktickticktick.
The ticking sound of the lenses in her mechanical eyes moving rapidly was the only sound that she could hear as she watched her glowing fist collide with Yukine's body. The power of her quirk immediately spreading across his artificial form, rapidly turning the metal brittle, in the next instant her enhanced strength turned his body into nothing but shards of glass. Time sped back up, shards of frozen metal clattering to the ground like rain.
Her hands fell to her sides.
She was a liar now. She'd promised. She'd promised.
Shouts were still calling out. Someone said something to her. A suggestion to cooperate? Matching attacks? She tried to pull herself together enough to respond, but her mind recoiled from the moment. She'd destroyed one of her own. A mother killing her own child. Ishtar's gut twisted. The mother among villains gritting her teeth, incapable of tears. Grief quickly turned into something else. Rage gave way to clarity, and in that moment, a blast of incredible power erupted in the air. Her eyes widened as she followed the source, focusing on May who had just let fly with her quirk.
Her quirk! That idiot girl! How much time had she used like that?!
Ishtar whipped her head towards a set of stairs that had appeared in the air next to her without any knowing, she cursed herself for being so lax. That was not how a villain behaved! That was not how ISHTAR behaved. She kicked off the ground at a speedsters pace, her dash taking her up the steps and catapulting her off the edge to catch May in mid-air. She hit the ground with a slide and let her down on the ground. She'd lecture her as Sonya later.
Instead, she got to her feet and let her bloodlust coat the entire area. Her presence so thick with the threat of death that even a blind, deaf, mute, lobotomy patient could tell that something nearby promised a painful, slow, and deliberate end to all biological function. Her wrath exploded out as she raised her head high, "You made a liar out of me, but I'm going to thank you anyway, for reminding me how to compose myself, you petulant little brat!" She snarled at the blind man.
"Allow me to educate you on exactly who your dealing with! I am the Queen of Villains!" She bellowed, "This is my city!" She roared as her quirk gathered, light beginning to form spheres in the air again, ice coating the ground, civilians caught up in the wake of her presence passing out from the weight of her bloodlust. "YOUR TIME IS UP! BECAUSE I AM HERE!" She declared, her villainous motto filling the air.
"HEAVEN'S STAGE!"
White chains erupted from the ground at various points, the writhing glass-looking metal glowing with the promise of decay and agony. Platforms of white light took shape scattered across the battlefield. Spheres of the light spreading out, no longer a mine field, but scattered widely in preparation of something else. Alleyways in the immediate vicinity were suddenly blocked off by sheets of white, radioactive glass.
Ishtar held her head high, "Kneel!" She commanded, the chains all charging towards him, looking to bind him, as one at a time the spheres of light compressed and turned into needle thin rays of death that lanced out in his direction.
[TLDR]
- Ishtar is momentarly shattered by being party to destroying Yukine's body.
- Ishtar cannot hear the suggestion to cooperate attacks in her moment of shock.
- May's attack snaps her out of it, she uses B- Speed to rescue the girl.
- Ishtar makes a declaration and broadcasts her bloodlust at a B- Presence.
- Ishtar uses one of her Ultimate Moves, the set-up technique 'Heaven's Stage' with her Quirk, Pale Dawn (S+ for this thread). She attempts to bind her target with radioactive chains and riddle him with needle-thin lasers while setting up the area as a deathtrap.

He had just been trying to help, in the only way he knew how– if he couldn’t hit hard, and couldn’t protect others, he had to be enough of a distraction for the heavy-hitters and the defenders– a green light overtook him, and his limbs ceased moving beneath him. It was like those dreams where you ran with all of your might, and went nowhere– Shit. One moment, he was immobile on the sidelines– the next, he was aloft midair, directly ahead of Ishtar– Shitshitshi-A single moment in time dilated into an eternity– he saw the whites of Ishtar’s eyes as she realized the inevitable– Yukine reached towards her, a reflexive plea. Her fist tore through him like a hand through wet paper. Not again…The world went dark. The bits of metal that went spiraling out from the impact were carried by a wave of electricity, which would set any bystanders' hairs on end. As the ripple of electricity faded, it would seem that the robot had truly been snapped from existence. *** Darkness… …Darkness and silence… …Was this really what death was like…? Dark, quiet and comfortable? It was like easing into a bed you’d slept in for decades, plush and cozy. Whoever had called it the “eternal slumber” was onto something. Yukine repositioned his arms, twisting his body into something that was more suitable for sleep. He’d already died once before, anyways– in a manner of speaking. Dying a second time wasn’t anything worth getting worked-up over. Something tugged at his elbow, attempting to wrench him from his earthen bed. …the pull of the afterlife, perhaps? It would be interesting to see which school of faith, if any, had gotten it right. Yukine leaned into it, passively curious, and *ZIP!*…what his elbow had found was one of the city’s many underground transformers, which thrummed with enough energy to power numerous buildings. Such a wealth of power at his fingertips sent a shiver through Yukine’s body, which sparked with delight. Not death… but a second– no, third– chance at life… but he had to get back to the surface. If they left him… he’d be lost in the labyrinth of wires beneath the city forever… and the family he’d so carefully begun to build would be torn from him. The ghost surged outward, grasping for any outlet, any ungrounded charge– and what he found was the old stand upon which an electric meter had been mounted– ripped from its post by the force of the blast. Yukine burbled out of the sputtering wires, building like a bubble of black electricity, bolts of white arcing away from him and lighting upon the ground. Hands formed, then legs, and finally two eyes opened. The electric specter lingered at the edge of the battlefield, its fathomless white eyes drinking-in the scene before it. The villain, restrained, as all the heroes converged upon it, hitting it with everything they had… it was quite the spectacle to behold. It made the ghost’s form hum with pride, and it wanted so desperately to join in the attack– but the risk of electrocuting and killing those present was too great… particularly in this form. With such a fount of power at its command, friendly fire was practically inevitable.

The Enlightened could feel it; he could feel his time running out. Soon, this body wouldn't be functional, and if he didn't finish his job, it wouldn't matter much if he was killed here or not. He was tempted to flee and finish his job elsewhere.
'No matter what, you're not to run. You WILL finish the test. Bring it all in. Especially from the girl.' The words echoed out in his brain, and a slight frown appeared almost imperceptible amongst the chaos.
Even still, he wasn't alone in feeling that time was running out as he could clearly "see" that the others were also running out of steam—mainly the elementary school student who tossed out a last-ditch effort to subdue him. Weighing his options in his head, he ultimately relented and switched the orange glow for a new one: purple. Unfortunately, he couldn't move due to the activation of his specific ability, even if he wanted to. The prospect of warping away from them was always an option, but...he didn't. He couldn't.
As a result, he offered up no resistance to the net grabbing him and being secured by Takeo. The kindergartener had set things up in a way that they could all of them could use the environment to its full advantage. The life arrow let loose by May would take some time to travel, and during that time, he was alerted to the aura of Ishtar as she set up technique. She was imposing that was for sure but there was always a bigger fish. "Oh yeah?" he grinned, placing his palms outward before making his aura flare over the battlefield, ripples of space distorting in an area around him. "BRING IT ON!" A small purple dome would encompass his body as the irradiated constructs and arrow collided with his bubble, creating a concentrated but large blast of energy that would briefly obscure their vision by kicking up a dusk cloud.
When the dust cleared, The Enlightened was still standing, albeit just barely. The resulting energy from the two attacks combined with his own had eroded and charred his skin. With a light cough, copious amounts of blood would pour from his mouth, and the eye mask would crumble and fall into pieces, revealing milky white eyes stained with a purple tint. "I guess that's it, huh? You got what you wanted. I'm going to disengage." as if talking to someone who wasn't there, he would slowly crank his head up and hold up his right hand, the purple glow manifesting as a bright light.
"Should have run when you had the chance. Now I gotta throw this all back at you." he closed his fist as the air around him began to vibrate, purple lines running through his charred body as his pupils faded. For those in tune with electrical energy, they would notice an invisible charge leaving his body, climbing high into the air, and then darting away. The Enlightened was no more than a shell now.
Sparks of purple electricity would emanate from his body, and the purple light got brighter. The extra energy he had taken in from the previous attacks had overloaded and destroyed his body's internals, but it had also managed to supercharge his energy. This would go off within 70 meters from the center compared to the initial energy explosion that kicked off the whole fight. It was imminent, with no way to stop the explosion of energy as the body was already dead. Highly unstable with a chance of any contact to speed up the explosion rate.
Talk about a grand finale —---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR - The Enlightened is trapped by Bun and Takeo's combo attack - Swaps colors from orange to purple - Lets loose his own aura (A- Presence) in the area as if warping space - Creates a small dome and gets blasted by Ishtar and May's attack at the same time, causing contained but large explosions - Activates an explosive technique as the light fades from his eyes and electricity escapes from his brain and into the air. - Explosion will go off in a 70-meter radius; touching or moving the Enlightened's body may result in a sooner explosion - Final post from me will be next round!

[attr="class","shinigami"] Holding on tight A direct hit!Even though the purple man had managed to erect some kind of dome, it seemed their team attack paid dividends. They had him on the ropes now- all that’s left was to keep the pressure up and- ”What?” was all Takeo had time to sputter out before the light left the villain’s eyes. A current shot out from his head, leaving them with a lifeless husk that was rapidly generating more power. Was he going to blow away the whole goddamn ward?! Even after Shorty and Archer’s sacrifices, this asshole was going to send it all sky high? Every brain cell inside Takeo’s skull fired off, his mind racing as he tried to think of a way to stop this. This is what he’d been after, wasn’t it? A real challenge that exhilarated him- that made his accomplishments have meaning? It wasn’t so fun and simple when there were thousands of lives at stake. As his heart beat faster and faster, he finally noticed the menacing specter standing just out of sight. White arcs of electricity whirred around it…was this from that robot thing before? Was his quirk to manipulate electricity or electronics, then? It finally clicked into place. Between the new arrival and the results of a previous attack, the pieces fit together like a jigsaw puzzle in his mind. It was risky, but if they pulled it off, they could save everyone. ”Battery Boy! Can you keep that guy’s electricity under control?” He called out. As he gave orders, he jogged over to Shorty and tried to pick her up. Unfortunately, his scrawny arms just weren’t up to snuff. ”Too heavy.” He grunted under his breath. Instead, Takeo opted to loop his arms under hers, dragging her away from the fight as best he could. ”If you can make sure he doesn’t go off early, I can use my quirk to move the body down into the tunnel I dug earlier. Ishtar, once he’s down there, cover the entrances with those constructs of yours! Grab Archer, too!”If they could pull this off without making him explode early, they might be able to stop it. Under the concrete, the electricity would all dissipate into the ground, preventing any further damage. In theory, anyway. One could never be too sure when it came to quirks- but it was the best chance they had. Well, the best chance of saving everyone. Takeo would be royally screwed if Battery Boy or Ishtar decided they valued their own lives more and ran away. All three of them would have to work together for this to have any chance of success. [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass] TL;DR - Thinks they're about to finish purple man off when the electricity suddenly shoots out of his head and he starts building up power. - Panics for a moment, thinking that Bun and May's sacrifices would be for nothing. - Sees Yukine just out of sight, realizes that if he's right about Yukine's power that they might be able to save everyone. - Tells Yukine to try and hold back the electricity buildup so it doesn't explode while Takeo uses his quirk to move the villain's body down into the tunnel his hand dug earlier. If this works, he will demanifest his hand once the villain is inside the tunnel. Tells Ishtar to make constructs to cover up the tunnel entrances. - Asks Ishtar to also help get May away from danger while he tries to help Bun. Too scrawny to actually lift Bun, so he starts dragging her backwards with considerable effort. - Notes that if everything works out, all the electricity should hit ground and dissipate- though reminds himself that he can never be a hundred percent sure how things work when it comes to quirks.

The silent watcher would have breathed a sigh of relief, had he lungs. The villain was bleeding profusely from his mouth, his voice slick with defeat. But then, something thrummed through the air, sending a pleasurable ripple through the spirit’s body– electricity–
“GET AWAY FROM HIM!” Yukine shouted. His voice warped like the warbling of an electric bass– the kind of voice that could be felt to your bones, rather than heard. The lightning around him crackled with the thrill of fear that coursed through him. He could no longer afford to watch and wait, “HE’S CHARGING UP!” His body moved reflexively– moved before Yukine even knew what he was doing. It was as if his entire body was a straw, and the drink from which he sipped was the city’s power grid. *Siiiiiiiiip.* As he drew the energy in, his form grew bigger and bigger still, more energy arcing off of him.
“I’LL TAKE CARE OF HIM!” he reiterated, “GO!”
Defined and distinct legs became little more than a tail, bound to the broken wiring from the building meter. His torso swelled with the electricity that it drank in, and Yukine balanced himself on his hands, gritting his teeth against the transformation. Strained, pained noises escaped him. The dark-haired heroes commands slipped out of range. Something about putting the body in a tunnel.
Truth be… Yukine didn’t know if he could control the villain’s electricity. He had been a prisoner in his own home for decades, rattling around in the wires and the household appliances, unable to venture any further after the electricity had been shut-off. He’d never tried to control the electricity of another, just as he had never made himself bigger by leaching electricity from the city itself.
But… his body knew what to do. If there was anyone that could try to absorb the villain's energy, it was going to be him…
"GOT IT, NOW GO!" the specter reiterated, it's voice modulating higher as its power swelled. Yukine took step after laborious step towards the villain, crawling closer as the boy who shouted demands at him moved to get the other heroes out of harm’s way. The buzz of his own energy drowned the sounds of the world around him, competing with the buzz of the villain’s mounting attack. He cast one last doleful look at Ishtar, then closed his eyes. He hoped that she’d tell Jackie that he’d done something really cool… and maybe that he was sorry to have not finished running the errand.
When Yukine reached the villain, he loomed at almost two-stories tall. The electric specter looked at the brightly glowing pinprick, then back at the heroes, awaiting the sign.
Once the dark-haired hero had begun to move the shell of the villain, Yukine would begin to lower himself, sinking to his elbows, bracing his body around it. Purple energy melded with black, dancing across what would have been Yukine’s chest and face and arms. It sent pins-and-needles through Yukine's body, like when a limb fell asleep.
If the villain were successfully lowered into a tunnel, or if he began to detonate early (whatever that meant), the outcome would be the same... Yukine would blanket the body with his own, careful not to touch it. From the outside, the bent back and folded arms resolved themselves into a black, crackling dome, losing any human semblance.
Any iota of the blast would hit him.
Yukine watched the purple energy burning until it hurt his eyes to do so, and the shell of the man was lost in its glow.
Then he closed his eyes and waited.
If there was anyone that could try to absorb the villain's energy, it would be him…
…and Yukine would do it, or he'd die trying.

Even if i become He challenged the Queen and she responded with a roar. Her chains of power and arrows of devastating light crashed into the purple dome. The raw power put into it was enough to cause a reaction between the two forms of energy. She raised a hand to cover her eyes instinctively, taking a step back from the force of the released energy. The light and smoke began to clear and she felt her heart tighten a little. He was still standing! Only seeing his silhouette caused her lip to twitch. Rage and something darker built in her gut and exploded with a laugh.
"MY HE PICKED A GOOD ONE, THAT MAN!" Ishtar laughed, "But you're still going to die for-"
Her hands fell as she saw the state of him. He had protected himself from the lethality of her quirk, but at what cost? Blood poured from his mouth, "This man..." She grunted, stalking forward, "Disengage? You aren't going anywhere..." She snapped, raising her hand up, the various constructs that had appeared in the area began to change into vicious looking blades, ripping themselves out of wherever they had been formed and turning to point at him. "Heaven's Stage - Pale Res-"
She was cut off from using the next stage of her technique to turn him into swiss cheese when he made his next statement. Then an alert sounded in her head. A warning.
WARNING. HIGH YELD ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD DETECTED.
A voice, familiar, but also warped, followed the warning.
She swore colorfully and whipped her hand back to stop the technique, she wasn't going to be able repay that fool for-
Before she had a chance to come up with a strategy, someone beat her to the punch. She'd heard the voice before, a young man. She turned her head towards the person speaking and then followed his gaze. Was that... Yukine? Was he okay? Oh blessed stars she hoped so. She'd never seen him like that before. The young man barked an order at Yukine and Ishtar scowled only to see Yukine move without a second thought.
Her expression eased benath her mask. Damn kids.
"Boy! What do you need me to do?" She demanded.
He explained her role and she nodded, she could control her constructs from anywhere in the area so her priority was getting to May. She darted in the girls direction with all due haste while she held her hand out towards the corpse of her foe. Her constructs began to change shape, forming panels that raced towards him. One panel stacked atop the other in an effort to form a many layered thick diamond tomb. The hard light did not have the charge-resisting qualities of glass. But it was pure energy. Dense enough, it should be like a wall regardless.
The diamond tomb was set to form, Yukine needed to get out of there though once he was dropped in the hole. More constructs formed above the hole, a gigantic, several-foot thick stopper made of hard light. The glow faded from a portion of her body as she concentrated with all her might, more constructs forming a platform-like sealing disk around the hole. Her muscles tensed as every single construct dissolved from the area to go into forming a lining in the hole.
Her chest heaved as she knelt down, her hand still outstretched, and lifted May into her arms. "Not... how I was... planning on getting a pretty thing in my arms... today..." She muttered half-heartedly, taking a step back.
"It's ready! Boy! Yukine Dear! Get away!" The moment he released his hold on the body and Yukine pulled away, she would clench her fist and drive it towards the ground. A tomb that looked like a crystal unit of currency from a particular game francise closed tightly around him, hurtled into the sealed and lined hole, and then the stopper would slam down atop it, twisting once to form a tight seal.
It wasn't hard to use that much power for her, but the complicated shapes and motions...
She felt her knees buckle and wetness form beneath her nose. But she refused to drop to the ground. "I. Am. The. Queen." He rasped, "And you. Will. Not. Harm. My. City." She swore before turning and getting as much distance as she could with May in her arms, the intensity of her quirk armor dissipating in order to not poison the young woman.
- Ishtar winds up to continue the fight but sees that it's come to an end. - Ishtar is stunned to see Yukine. - Ishtar realizes that her body is in danger but commits to the fight when she sees Yukine's courage. - Ishtar accepts Takeo's orders, going to pick up May while she painstakingly creates a gigantic vault-like construct out of radioactive light to contain the blast. - Ishtar tells the others that she's ready for the drop. - Ishtar actively weakens herself temporarily in doing so.

The Moon Rabbit! A soft, little hff eased out of her as she heard Mr. I'd Probably Grab Green Day's Clothes Instead of My Own at the Laundromat called her too heavy. ``...or you're too weak,`` came the little retort within her thoughts as she did what she could to focus on her breathing. Right now, it was just about all she could do as she failed to be more than dead weight, something she was begrudgingly good at right now... It was frustrating, infuriating, even... Find a use. Be useful. Not... ...this. How her head felt a little lighter than her legs when it came to moving around was baffling, but she tilted her head up ever so slightly while muttering in a lil' wheeze, "...sorry, geeze..." Served in a glaze of pathetic sassiness, possibly even left unheard as her gaze took in the calamity going on. Including someone who was looking to become an electrical, sacrificial lamb... ...not again. Why did this remind her of that fateful day when there was nothing more than bittersweet closure? ...because that mess of electricity was throwing himself away, just like Nelly did. Continuing to pace her breathing, she didn't want to watch someone so willing to help others just give it all up. The problem is, there wasn't a damn thing she could do to save anyone right now, but that didn't mean she couldn't try to keep helping. Granted, it was too late to break the archer's fall, but it wasn't too late to help a villain putting her life on the line to protect this place. A person the sacrificial lamb of electricity cared about. Taking in a sharp breath, she lifted her head and looked towards the stair case she built for the archer as a smirk played across her lips, picking up the tactic that woman with snow white locks and chilling gaze was trying to put down. Even though she could feel her body temperature rise, she grit her teeth and let out a sharp exhale... One shaky step forward and the staircases no longer in use began to quake. Another step followed by a subtle shudder, but this time...she gripped tightly onto her rescuer's shoulder. Now those staircases spiraled as she lightly tilted her head, the planks going around the vault.... ...and then as her head hung low, loosely crossing her fingers, it all came tumbling down, dropping into the ground in X shapes all around. Board up the vault, make it a little more sturdy, especially on the side facing the self proclaimed Queen of Villains, all in hopes of helping it hold since...well...she wasn't expecting it to be some gentle explosion, considering how strong that guy was. All she knew is that there was a good chance she'd be getting a grand total of no answers about why that man did all of this. What she did know is that they had to stand together as much as possible... ...even though she wasn't doing much of that right now since she became dead weight once again. The sounds resounding all around sounded muffled as though she fell into the ocean, her vision even blurry as could be as everything started looking more like vague blobs. All the fibers off of her form dripping with sweat as her temperature rose, it's been a long time since she pushed herself this much... ...though she was stubbornly trying to fight her own body right now and losing the fight against herself, her eyes fluttering to a close as she got hauled along. TEE ELL DEE ARRRR TIME! Yukine's potential sacrifice is a driving force for Bun to muster up her energy and try one more trick up her sleeve. The two stair cases no longer in use shake out of their previous positions to circle the vault Ishtar made before falling into X shapes against it as a means of reinforcing it from the outside. Think like one would take boards to a window in preparation for a hurricane/high winds. The side with Ishtar as a bit more thick so it's sturdier than the other parts of the vault Ishtar made. Bun is passing out and losing consciousness right + hella sweating now due to the fever her body has from quirk overuse. [break][break] Sorry, I’m getting off track here! Back to me, in total freefall! After this crazy person leveled the area. Several other heroes, a villain and myself all stepped up to the plate. We might not be able to save those who were already gone. But we could sure as heck prevent him from hurting anyone else. A young man who controlled a giant disembodied fist, a tiny bunny-girl who controls…rope and planks? I’m totally not sure what her quirk actually is. Then there’s the little robot dude! We lost him in the fight, but I’ll never forget him rushing in with no thought to himself. Brave and courageous. And then there’s the self-proclaimed queen of villains, stepping up to help us…for whatever reason? Maybe she’s a villain with heart, I’ve seen weirder. [break][break] Regardless. All of us stepped up to fight back. [break][break] I’d say this was my first cool hero moment, but it wasn’t. This was horrible. Being a hero isn’t all sunshine in butterflies. Sometimes you had to face the dreary, horrifying reality. It’s our job to be beacons of light, to smile through the pain, the horrors of battle and to give people hope. We bear the worst on our shoulders, to shelter those who can’t. I’ll never forget that little girls face, looking for a mother and father she’ll never see again. If I do anything, I’ll make sure nobody else ever has to feel that way again, I’m with the good humanity until the end of the line. [break][break] Luckily, today wasn’t my last day. That villain lady caught me before I hit the ground. I can’t remember much of what happened during the end of that battle. I overdid it. To the point where I passed out before I wasn’t even sure if the battle was over. Honestly, pretty dumb on my part. What if my fading from the fight was the moment that allowed more to die? I need to do better in the future. To find ways to overcome the detriments of my quirk and keep fighting no matter how hard a spot I’m in. Because it could be the difference between a good outcome and a bad one. [break][break] I vaguely remember the fisty-boy giving orders. Something about making sure the vilain didn’t go off? Was he a bomb? Was this the end of theirs and my life coming up to greet us? Our reward for choosing to engage the villain, was an explosion burying all of us. Eh, I’m not really sure. I was in and out of consciousness at this point. I only remember little flashes of images and sounds. I remember feeling the crackle of energy on my skin, like all my hairs were on end, kind of how people describe feeling before they’re struck by a bolt of lightning. But that’s it. [break][break] I hope all of them made it out ok. I hope, that if these are my last thoughts that they somehow lend themselves to a voice. To let those who stood beside me know that they’re heroes, and that what they did today made a difference for so many people. I was honored to fight alongside them and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. [break][break] Thanks for going Plus Ultra with me. Thank you, for making a difference. Heroes. The Enlightened was now nothing more than a corpse. The body had no agency or will, at least not anymore. The wheels had been set in motion as the energy levels within the body increased, gradually leaking out into the surrounding area with flashes of purple and whip-like crack as they tore through the air.
The energy The Enlightened had taken in from the combined efforts of Ishtar and May was too much and had completely fried his internals, making him unstable. The decision was made for him to do that once he stole the power of his watch to amplify himself. That was NOT in the plan.
Even still, the failsafe set up in case the situation turned unsalvagable would go off. A harmless wave of purple energy surging outwards from all directions would envelop everyone, providing the same imagery.
The ragtag group would experience a vision of what was to be expected if the explosion was to go off. For each individual they would witness the moment of their demise as they were caught up in the blast, the full sensation being channeled directly into their brains to provide a haunting, surreal experience.
This bad end would not come to pass.
The efforts of this group of individuals were successful, the corpse not detonating until it was fully secured, and even then for those trying to suppress it, would experience a force of energy that would require their full strength to the upper limit. A purple glow echoed in the area as the electricity raged against its cage, sparks breaking through until...nothing. The light faded as the body had ceased to be.
Against all odds, they had won. —---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TL;DR - The Enlightened's body continues to expend energy - An unavoidable wave shoots out and provides a very surreal/traumatizing experience of how they would die if the explosion went off without issue. - The group efforts are successful, barely able to contain the explosion of energy. - Victory!
