As the sun began to dip below the Tokyo skyline, causing the tall cityscape buildings to cast long shadows over the bustling streets of Shinjuku an ominous glow emerged on the horizon with plumes of smoke creeping out from the direction of the glow's source. At first, it might've seemed like a distant wildfire—uncommon ( unless you lived in the U.S./Canada in 2023 apparently but quite possible given the existence of quirks. It soon became quite evident that it was far more sinister than a quirk-related accident or an act of God. Seemingly appearing out of nowhere, a monstrous entity resembling a raging fire with a life of its own had materialized. Chaos erupted among the pedestrians and the bustling cityscape became a battleground. Sirens wailed, and people screamed as they fled from the fiery terror that now engulfed Shinjuku. Yet, amidst this towering inferno, a more insidious threat had emerged: the Embers. These small, sentient flames, born from the malevolent heart of the The Inferno, scattered like wildfire throughout the district. Each Ember had a sinister intelligence of its own, driven by a relentless desire to burn and destroy. The heroes, vigilantes, and authorities scrambled to respond, but their efforts appeared futile against the colossal, fire-like creature that seemed impervious to their attempts to quell it. Even more problematic were the criminals and villains that used the chaos of the whole situation to their benefit, looting stores and working with the Embers to take down the pesky agents of justice that often got in their way. As darkness settled in, the Embers blended into the surroundings, their eerie, flickering glow barely noticeable amidst the chaos. They slithered through narrow alleyways, crept up the sides of buildings, and sneaked into homes and businesses, all the while leaving smoldering trails of destruction in their wake. Anything they touched ignited instantly, and the once-vibrant district of Shinjuku was rapidly being reduced to a fiery wasteland. The battle had only just begun, and the fate of Shinjuku hung in the balance. Would justice prevail, or would the Elementalist have the last laugh after all?

Mark enjoyed casual strolls through the city. Never mind the stack of papers he had to grade, that could wait to be a Tomorrow Mark problem. For now he was more interested in having a good evening; taking in the sights, having a few drinks, gandering at some of the fine ladies around town- Oh, and dealing with a giant fire monster. Wait, what? He stopped as the creature off in the distance began to start its rampage, doing any and all damage that it could. Legally, Mark was required to help, but unfortunately for those moving in to assist with the creature he was more of a liability than anything else. A quirk that was good for investigative skills, basic bar brawling abilities, two nice guns that he could use to separate a fly from his testicles at eighty feet with iron sights, yeah. There was no feasible way for him to deal with a giant monster like that. So, cool and collected as can be, he walked up to the nearest food stall and ordered a wrap for himself. Yes, he was aware of the emergency, no, he was not concerned, and yes you should get going as soon as possible. Preferably after I get that wrap. I'll even pay double. Thank you, please be safe and orderly. Easy. Wrap in hand, he'd begin to check his phone and calculate the best course of action for people to get out of this district. Every so often he'd start to flag people down, and with a mouth full of food would give directions to the closest safe harbor. Ideally, people should get as far away from the fires as possible, but that was in a perfect world. This wasn't perfect. To make matters worse he saw a couple of young punks break into a storefront, and letting out a sigh he went to go confront them. "Excuse me, young ne'er-do-wells, evac point is on the opposite side of the district. If you could relocate yourselves to that area, that would be nice. Preferably without any of this storefront's merchandise. That'd be stealing, which is wrong and I know you know better." Felix Yasuragi Yoru junko Koffee-Kun

While Mark might not have been treating this with the same level of gravitas of a typical hero, he was still helping in his own way. His priorities might've been a bit skewed, but he wasn't impeding on the other first-responders' efforts which was more than they could ask for. The punks didn't really care what Mark had to say. This was a prime opportunity to profit off of the misfortunes of others. Besides, it was a harmless crime in their eyes. All this shit was going to burn up in the fire anyway. In fact, they were doing the store owners a service by making sure that their goods didn't go to waste. "Tch...Shyeah, whatever, man," one of 'em rolled their eyes at Mark, stuffing their pockets full of whatever looked even vaguely valuable. Meanwhile, fires were spreading all across Shinjuku, and this store was just about to be another victim of the Embers. The fire spread from the building next store. Starting from the roof, the ceiling started to come tumbling down while the failing sprinkler's systems kicked in to mount a pitiful resistance against the fires. "Shit! Time to go! C'mon! Pack it up!" one called out before quickly booking it through the back door of the store, setting off the store security alarm which was pretty useless right about now. The rest were quick to try and follow after the guy, running as fast as they could. Outside, the situation was only getting worse as people were screaming, coughing, and fleeing through the streets, hunched over and begging for help.

The song that is currently blasting on her mother's car is a bop that she sang along with her mother - your very normal daughter and mother bonding. Until, well... the fire monster that suddenly appear and make a chaos. Mom, get away from this place! I will be right back! Yoru states quickly as if she is going to go out for a milk. Before her mother can say anything, Yoru open the moving car door and jumps out with a big smile plastered on her face. She let out some grunt as she rolls to the grassy ground which fortunately softened her fall but she quickly brush that off.
She found herself on the back door of a store that she can't tell what it was until suddenly the alarm blares loudly as some people burst out from the door. The instinct with her told her one thing and that is swing her arm as hard as possible at them. As she punched a person, the space where she punch suddenly show a crack and the other people who were rushing got punched back as they pass the crack. Whoa! What happened? Wait were you robbing? Shouldn't you run for your life in this kind of situation instead of pillaging? Yoru asks completely oblivious to the scream and begging help around her. Once in a while she cough from the smoke but she find herself got confused on what she should do now... She doesn't learn on what hero in training should do in this kind of situation
