[attr="class","sixShpost"]heheA clock ticked. Sat atop the back wall of the lecture hall, just above the installed screen, it ticked, ticked, ticked away. Below it, walking about the platform, went the professor, who pointed to his screen with a thin, metal pointer with a small dot at the tip.

heheSat in the middle row, off on the right side of the room and towards the door, Claudio gently tapped a mechanical pencil to his notebook. Tap, tap, tap. Drumming along to the clock's rhythm, the cloud tapped the eraser end against a laid-out page. His gaze drifted up from the professor, whose words deafened as he faded into the corners of Claudio's eyes, and followed the ticking. The thin red hand went on.

heheTick, tick, tick.

heheEventually, even the sound of his eraser — a muffled sound, near silent even to the cloud's immediate neighbor — dulled from the drummer. The arrow circled the outer edge, passing by slower and slower as Claudio stared at it. How many more ticks did he need? It couldn't be many. If every sixty ticks was another minute, then... No, that would be a great number more than a few. Far more than a few. Way too many more than it had any right to be.

heheTick, tick, tick.

heheMaybe if he looked away and back, it would go by quicker. Oh, or maybe he could close his eyes! Hmm, wait, no — he might fall asleep if he did that. Not a terrible fate, per se, but he may miss the rest of his day off; even worse, he may waste more of his time if he got into trouble right at the end of this lecture.

heheThe bell rang.

heheSound flooded through Claudio's ears once again, and movement returned to the rest of his eyes. Classmates picked up their materials, the professor worked to reset his display, and he bolted from his seat into the hallway.

heheWith his drawstring bag hung loosely from his shoulder, swinging it forward and stuffing his notebook into it, the cloud bounded into the hallway. He, like a few others, immediately stepped out from his class and into the rest of the day ahead; a clear schedule all for himself!

heheBut just as he stepped out, a voice came over the loudspeakers. Claudio's ear perked up to the intercom, humming to himself as he walked on.

heheWait.

heheHad he heard that correctly? Had he heard his name called for? No, surely not. He couldn't have been. Why would he be requested? He couldn't recall any trouble he might be in — he'd avoided that from what he could remember. And right at the very end of his day, at that? But he was sure he'd heard it; he was sure he'd heard his name.

heheWell, how bad could it be? Surely, whatever it was, it wouldn't be much of an excursion for him. It would only take an hour of time at most, two tops, and he would otherwise be free to do as he so wished with the rest of his day.

heheThe door to the administration building peaked open. The summoned cloud, peaking his head in through the crack, looked from the desk at the front of the room to the woman sitting alongside the wall. Then again, as he stepped through the door, his gaze shifted back to the receptionist.

heheFor an institution so prestigious as UA, whose expectations of appearance were in utmost service of its image, Claudio took to wearing the uniform as he so wished; most notably, his dress shirt only buttoned up to the middle of his torso, revealing his chest — as well as the scar blooming from its center — while his coat hung open to leave it on full display. His hair, whispy in its innately cloudy state, shifted with every movement he made, even from the smallest of twists of his neck or tilt of his chin. As it was, it curved through the air as Claudio bent his head to the side.

[attr="class","sixShpost"]heheAs Titanomachia spoke on, switching between matters of products, status — at some point, he lost track of the sheer magnitude of topics — and other such things, Claudio could offer only a blank stare. His lips didn't curl the slightest, his stance didn't shift, and his eyes didn't even offer a widening or a narrowing. With the same puzzled expression he'd held when first giving her his attention.

heheOf any indicators, the most he extended was the occasional nod. With her words washing over him, he held a neutral display; however, as she continued on and on, the Brazilian progressively sucked his face in, placing a hand over his mouth as to feign deep contemplation. The further and further she went, the more Claudio had to seal his lips shut — even burying them in his own mouth by the time she stated her interest.

heheClaudio looked down to her hand. Then, he looked back up to meet her gaze.

heheThe cloud burst out into laughter, howling laughter, clutching at his gut as he fell over himself in hysterics. He did so quite literally, falling backward as he did so. Though, as he did so, he floated there — not far off the ground, as he remained just below Titanomachia's eye level, but far enough to not brush against the floor — like he'd taken a cushy seat on the air.

hehe"Hoh, you're a hiot!" Amidst his laughter, Claudio managed to cough out a few words. "No wonde' you're so famoush — you're hilarioush!"

heheBouncing out from the air and back onto his feet, Claudio reached out both of his hands to shake Titanomachia's singular, with one meeting the heroes properly while the other wrapped around their back. With a grin, he carelessly shook their hand; his hair bobbed as he did.

hehe"You should'a just started with that, Miss–" he slightly choked on his words, still having some laughs left in his gut– "Periwinkle!" He wouldn't be letting go of that title of address anytime soon — it was much too amusing for him to simply forget.

hehe"That being said," Claudio pulled his hands back, with one moving up to wipe a tear from his eye, "if you're offe'ing a spot, I don't think I'd turn ya down! I mean, an oppo'tunity to see what you get up to? I don't think I could stop laughing!"

[attr="class","sixShpost"]heheClaudio followed Ms. Periwinkle out from the administration building; though, unlike the pro-hero, Claudio didn't just walk — no, he'd spent most of his day on his legs. He'd do anything but for his time off. Instead, with legs crossed over one another — was that sitting style considered rude here? He still hadn't checked — with his hands resting on either of their respective knees. His fingertips, mostly inaudible, gently drummed against the bone as he followed the titanic hero along.

heheMaking it back outside again, Claudio's gaze would gently tilt upwards. Though he now sat to meet Titanomachia's eye level, floating just a few feet off the ground, his eyes didn't follow her. In fact, as she came to a sudden stop ahead of him, he'd nearly bumped into her.

heheToday's sky was a pure blue — maybe that's why he'd almost run into her. A bright, midday sun, just barely eclipsed by a singular cloud. The whole rest of the sky was empty, drowned in an ocean of cool tones, all except for that one cloud. Today's winds, silent in their passing, only barely waded past him; and, for that cloud, he didn't imagine it would be pushed along anytime soon. Maybe he would go swimming with it later. Maybe it would feel less lonely.

hehe"Hmmm," came the eventual hum. Bouncing away a couple of inches, and still keeping himself off the ground, Claudio stared a few seconds longer. Eventually, with his right hand moving up and his elbow resting on his thigh, the cloud rested his cheek against the flat of his fist.

hehe"Man, you guysh p'obably get annoying to the localsh." Tracing his left index finger in a circle — small giggle included — as he drew out a clock in the air. Quite literally, as his finger itself dissipated into a cloud, unwinding itself like a string and forming the timepiece — the seconds hand ticking away. "Then again, I guessh in a sea of heroesh around all the time, you guysh p'obably aren't the worsht about it, either. Do any kidsh ever come up to you with hai' dyed to match you'sh, Miss Periwinkle?"

heheClaudio's finger returned to its source, the clock converging on what remained of his finger before returning to its flesh, blood, and bone state. And with it, he propped his whole left up just like his right, resting his chin between the hands and focusing on the pro-hero.

hehe"But–" he'd continue, disregarding his own previous question — as though it were rhetorical — as he did– "for conce'nsh, I think I got one." He closed his eyes, carefully rocking his head back from one hand to the next. His hair bobbed along to his movements. "You said theze positionsh are 'earned,' hight? What are you looking fo' me to prove here, exactly?"

[attr="class","sixShpost"]heheWhile Titanomachia rose up to her gigantic stature, eclipsing a great many of the facilities U.A. was so proud of, Claudio grew further and further down as a mere speck beneath her. Like a blade of grass just barely standing above its contemporaries, he did not fully disappear beneath the hero's gaze; even still, his words became less than squeaks, and his movement became little more than incoherent smudges of color, as the world trembled beneath her.

heheThe squeaks kept coming regardless, however. Despite his size, his voice continued to carry — not as screams, per se, but still of the same exuberance as his laughter; whether or not they were laughs remained muddled at their disparity. No, instead, the drop of white, like light reflecting off a dewdrop on the lawn, bobbed away, shifting about in a blur of movements and motions.

heheBut, at some point, the droplet stopped moving. In fact, Claudio no longer floated at all. He'd planted his feet against the turf, digging his sandals into the grass — the regularly sized grass at his height — and gripped his right arm with his left. Whatever went on at his right side, it became a whirring smear of motion, speeding up further and further. At some point, it sounded just like his squeaks — like one long, continuous squeak.

heheWith a sudden woosh jetting out from the grass, the cloud's arm stretched inhumanly long. It stretched so much so, in fact, that it reached all the way up to grasp Titanomachia's shoulder; and with its grasp, the dewdrop shot up from the grass, soaring back up to the clouds from whence it came and towards the pro-hero's level. As it came, so, too, would Claudio's voice accompany it.

hehe"...aaaaAAAATAPULT!"

[break][break]

heheSoaring past Titanomachia's height, Claudio cheered. His hand, letting go of her shoulder, sprung back into his own. All the while, Claudio was giggling to himself.

[break][break]

hehe"Man, I know I uzed that name befo'e, but I jusht can't help but think it wash a washte!" Claudio floated upside down. From his back, his string bag hung beneath his head, sinking towards the earth beneath them. "And that time heally was mo'e of a one-time thing–" he tightened his strings, gripping it firmly to his back, as he mused aloud– "but I had a lot of fun with that one, too, hmmm... I'll change it, but I gotta come up with a name for that old one."

heheFloating back down to Titanomachia's eye level, still far above the ground, Claudio flipped himself right side up and sat in that same cross-legged pose. "Now thish," he'd motion towards her with an open, flapping hand, "ish a lot mo'e how I imagined 'Titanomachia' going."

[break][break]

hehe"Anyway, Miss Titan," he flipped backward, rotating in place, with little care for up and down, "you'e heally tall. Like, supe' tall; I've alwaysh wanted to talk to someone who can come up he'e, y'know?" As he hung there in the sky, Claudio's body began to change. From his waist down, just beneath the scar across his chest, everything he was turned into a cloud. In its unfurling mass, like a thread pulled fresh from a spool, cloud after cloud was tugged out, shaping blobby masses into an open dome around the pro-heroes head. In just a few moments, these clumps took on the misty shape of their creator, even down to resembling his physique and clothes; the original even shaped a lower half for itself out of his clouds while leaving its rest human.

heheMost oddly, the original body's face, from the philtrum down, also took on this clouded form.

hehe"Only a few guysh can jusht be up he'e, let alone enjoy it."

heheThe voice didn't come from the original body. No, it came from somewhere behind Titanomachia's right ear, amongst one of the clouds.

hehe"Do you like it bette' up he'e?"

heheNow it came from the back left.

hehe"I think it'sh more peaceful. Maybe a little too quiet, but it'sh nice, ishn't it?"

heheIn the corner of her eye, from one the molded forms, Claudio's mouth — his real mouth — spoke, and from it came his words. Without a doubt, that cloud (shaped like Claudio lazing on his side) was where it came from before disappearing into the fog.

[attr="class","sixShpost"]heheThe clouds behind Titanomachia's head dissipated as she passed through them, a gentle, cool mist through her hair and out back to where they began; reformed again, their shapes a cavalcade of Claudio in many, many, many different poses, they took their gaze to follow her along. The main body, which once again held his real mouth — returning his face to its full, grinning countenance — raised an eyebrow. A curly eyebrow, puffy like his mist, spiraled towards the center of his brow.

heheClaudio followed along as her arms reached out at either side. With the tilt of his head and the bob of his hair, he remained in his cross-legged sat, now sat right-side up and left with his tipped expression. Only then, when Titanomachia's arms reached out at their wingspan, did Claudio's eyes widen, flying out from his cheeks and even past his forehead as his mouth went agape.

heheAside from the man's torso, with his backpack still hanging from it, the whole rest of his form dissolved into vapor; however, the cloud beneath him molded into his hands — his real hands — and pulled at his core, stretching it further with the bag still on his back. With his feet above from another cloud pushing his body down, and with the aiding tug of his hands, his backpack was shot out into the sky, and with Titanomachia's force, it soared even higher.

heheWith it gone, the haze dispersed into many shreds of mist, blowing out and away from the clap's epicenter. Like an explosion of steam, the man's form went out in every direction, shadowing the world in its downcast and blanketing it from the sun's gaze; even to Titanomachia, her sky was drowned in thick shadows, a sort of dome made from the man's gaseous body.

heheThe clouds turned. They furled, coiled — they didn't simply pass with the winds. No, just like Claudio's hair, they waved and shifted in spirals, twisting all of their own accord. They continued to turn with a silent, unannounced speed, barely enough to be noticed. But from their centers, at the beginning of their spirals, the threads whirled. Shooting out from these points, rocketing upwards towards a point further into the sky, like small typhoons flowing up to the top of the rising clouds.

heheCoalescing at the apex of the dome's rising top and molding its shape, a shadow fell beneath its form, and plummeting from above the silhouette, a speck of pink fell into and dragged down the casting shape. Tumbling down, down, and further back down to where a man had once sat, its descent slowing and, eventually, stopping right in front of the hero.

heheWith a poof, Claudio was born again, all in his entirety. Wordlessly, steadily, the Brazilian reached inside of his bag. He rummaged through it for a moment, rubbing against the inner wall as he sifted through. From the bag, he revealed a small, black box — a black case. Sitting both his bag and the case on his lap, with his legs acting as a makeshift countertop, Claudio flipped open the box and pulled something out.

heheHe held a trumpet. A brass, flashy trumpet, fitted with leather just beneath the valves. With his head tilted back and air sucked into his lungs, with his chest expanded like a balloon, Claudio blasted Titanomachia with one massive, prolonged shriek through his instrument.

hehe"Okay," he panted. The color from his face, along with his breath, returned to him. "That wash for almosht making me loze thish." He fiddled with the buttons, watching as he clicked them up and down. "Also fo' my wallet and phone — but moshtly this!"

heheWith his case shoved back into his bag, missing the horn still held in his right hand, Claudio kept his belongings in his lap, resting his chest forward over them. "I'm a package deal, lady!" His lips furrowed into a grin-turned shout. "You don't get to have me if you t'eat thish–" he waved his trumpet over his head– "like that! You don't get to deshtroy this fo' what you want!"

Pointing his finger up at her, he continued holding the trumpet aloft at the titanic hero. The guard clung to the brass instrument, its leather worn around the buttons and scratched by their contours. "Secondly, you didn't say were gonna do that! You said you jusht wanted to see some tricksh!"

heheClaudio pulled his instrument close to his chest, resting it, along with his hands, in his lap. He breathed in again, sucking air into his chest and steadying his rhythm. He still floated there in front of Titanomachia, returning from a shout to a smile; not as large as he'd once held, but worthwhile enough for him to make. His eyes, however, failed to match it, refusing to meet the pro-hero's gaze or even twist in amusement — they dwelled on the instrument, clicking the buttons as he did.

hehe"All the trumpets in the world wouldn't mean a thing to me. I don't care if they're the best, if they're worth a fortune, or if they were used by someone famous; it wouldn't mean a single thing to me!" As he spoke, his voice rising higher and higher as he went, Claudio's grin lifted again just as it had before, his eyes beaming alongside it. "It wouldn't ever be my trumpet, or the trumpet I get to see off — this trumpet's had a longer life than I have, and I wanna play its last sound!"

heheClaudio held his trumpet in both hands. He didn't lift it to play, instead resting it comfortably on his lap. The brass, gently sliding against his palm as he slipped his thumb into the first valve slide, squeaked as he held it low, and the valves played a quiet slip as they moved.

heheHe looked forward to Titanomachia, meeting her gaze. With a quiet smile and a chuckle of a sigh, his eyes looked back from nights, many not his own, passed.

heheHe drifted away from the titan, holding onto the trumpet as he slipped away. Humming to himself a tune and fingering the melody, he let his gaze fall up to the sky. "You gotta know about thingsh you wouldn't eve' wanna break, hight? Thingsh you wouldn't eve' let be collateral?"
