[attr="class","shinigami"] Stalking Prey Every cell in Ryuu’s body railed against him. Aching pain seeped deep into his bones, cold sweats all over his body… Hell, even his lungs seemed to be failing him. His breathing was shallow now, and the more cognizant he became of that fact, the worse it got. When the heroes had brought him down from his stupor, they’d taken him here. They told him that the road to recovery was long, but worth it. That he’d emerge a productive member of society, and come out a better person. They’d told him that everything was going to be okay. It had already been two weeks and the withdrawals had only gotten worse. Every fiber of his being screamed for sweet release. Narcotics were a bitch like that- you couldn’t just put them down and come away unscathed. The heroes and the media liked to paint this image that anyone could be saved, but Ryuu had been damned over a decade ago. From the moment he’d tied the rope and jabbed a needle into his arm, he’d fucking damned himself- and now he was broken and everything that made him functionally alive was telling him he’d die if he didn’t leave this place. Like a thin, elastic band- his mind had been stretched to its limit these last few days in particular. He could feel himself about to snap- about to lose control again. Just like he had after he’d been denied his fix. Whenever his emotions got out of hand like this, people always got hurt. Ryuu had no desire to drag others into his problems. He didn’t want to hurt anyone- but his mind could only keep his body in check for so long, and now that he could feel himself starting to slip away, he knew the walls were about to break down. I just want it all to end.
It wasn’t monsoon season just yet, but the ominous storm clouds hovering over Tokyo promised heavy rain and thunder. Around this time, most people were indoors. Small blessings. There was a loud crashing sound as the roof of the rehab center erupted, slabs of brickwork and plaster crashing down in the surrounding area. Emerging from the newly created hole was a massive, serpentine-like creature. Ryuu’s mind was gone at this point, his body on full auto-pilot as his quirk rampaged with impunity. The more fearful he became, and the more pain he was in, the stronger the transformation- and the greater the loss of his mental faculties. The final result was a fifty foot long Chinese dragon, covered in dark gray scales with a mane of frizzy, white fur cascading down from his head. There was no intelligence or thought behind his eyes as he let out a bestial roar. People were screaming now. Those that could were desperately fleeing from the center. Already dozens were dead or injured, but things would only get worse if decisive action wasn’t taken. Following his loudest roar yet, Ryuu inhaled deeply, the sounds of electricity and plasma from far above gathering inside his draconic throat. After a few seconds, he raised his head to the sky and let out a piercing ray of lightning, so large and bright that it could be seen for miles. No doubt the heroes would be here within minutes, but how much more destruction would be sown before their arrival? “I don’t get it,” Antoine locked up the shop. “It’s not like you to close early.” “Well,” Bernard looked at his watch. Then, he pointed to the sky and noted the clouds above. “A storm’s coming.” “That’s why your restaurant is indoors, isn’t it?” “You’re right but after the Horseface incident, I don’t want to keep this place open without security.” Bernard handed Antoine his briefcase. Inside was his pool stick and a rack of billiard balls. “And you’re busy.” “I literally clocked in an hour ago.” “And so much happens in an hour.” Bernard gives a sly smile, licking his lips with his forked, silver tongue. “You’ll thank me later.” A crash grabs everyone’s attention. It’s not close but it’s hard to ignore a fifty-foot dragon breaking into the sky. Antoine’s grip tightens on his hands as everything comes together. He’s not sure how Bernard keeps his fingers on the pulse of everything, but it’s given him exactly what he needed so far. He turns back to Bernard and… He’s gone. “I really don’t get that guy,” Antoine mutters to himself. Then, he runs toward the danger. It will take some time to get there, but with his quirk, there’s never a shortage of shortcuts. He ducks into an alley and pulls the four-link chain from his navel. Antoine proceeds to run up the wall as he dons his mask. He’ll be there in five minutes. “How the hell do I fight a dragon?”

sling shot Things seemed to be rolling downhill as of late. The news was going bonkers about some crazy shit that went down not that long ago, she was tasking herself with the holy mission of trying to reach out to those who were definitely not corpo dogs of the pro world. Get to them before someone else does, but it was proving difficult in some instances. Trying to cast out her net so she could fill the void of her life...you know, being a solo act...but it wasn't going so well. Then again, that's just the nature of things when you don't have a way to directly contact anyone. Watching words sprawl across the screen of her visor as she typed away on one of her burners, the most clues she got was for some big guy that squared up against some massive, angry puddles of water. As far as her research on the web took her, it seemed like the big fella matched the description of some forest dwelling cryptid? Well there wasn't a very clear descriptor, sort of like bits and pieces scattered around like a puzzle some kid trashed? So based on what she put together, complete with the funky Big Foot and Loch Ness Monster pictures folks took over time. All in all, from the posts on cryptid message boards, chats, communities and amateur reporters trying to cover the incident many were calling The Elementals, it seemed to add up to definitely not a bad guy. Having someone like that in her corner of the vigilante community would be fantastic! There was so much good that guy could do if she could just find that cryptid and convince him to help her...! ....or at least once in a while. This was a bit of a detour from her search though, sitting on a trash can with her legs crossed, lightly kicking her leg as she continued trying to get a better grip on where to look. Gnawing away on a lollipop idly, she just completely froze up when something intruded on her feed about a weird storm brewing over Tokyo. .... "...eh...? The forecast didn't mention anything abou--" After worriedly muttering those words in a hushed, thoughtful whisper to herself, she titled her head up towards the sky so her gaze could rest upon the grey storm clouds. "--oh." Feeling her heart sink, she stopped slouching and sat upright as she had a staring contest with the sky for a moment.... With all that happened regarding that Elementals incident... ...this could be a straggler. Like something left over that could flip things upside down and hurt a whole lot of people...there was something tied to a storm when that incident happened. Things could be worse today... "I gotta go...!" Furrowing her brows as those concerned words escaped her, she jumped off the trash can she'd been sitting on and tucked her phone away in one of her pockets. Brushing her fingers along the pouch with pellets...it...it might not be enough, that's when she brushed her hand along the gun holstered upon her hip. That may not be enough either... Bringing her hand up to grasp upon the strap that kept the launcher holstered to her back, that may not be enough, too...geeze. Well, that wasn't going to stop her! Heck, it could be a whole lot of nothing and honestly a freak storm of some kind, or a very harmless quirk! Tapping the tip of her boot upon the floor, the wheels popped right on out and she began quickly skating along. Reaching up to lightly tap her visor as she zoomed along, changing through different frequencies in hopes of picking up something that could give her a hint, landmark, anything that would help built the path to where she needed to go. Something... ...anything. The voices between bits of static didn't give her much to work with, almost like...no one cared enough about what was happening to report it out the gate. Probably a part of town that no one really gave a shit about, which was always pretty heart wrenching to think about, but you know what? That only drove her to reason with coming here more often...everyone needed someone to protect them, or at least try. Seemed like the pros preferred lime light and attention, they wouldn't get that in the part of town she was heading towards. Or at least that's what it felt like... It could be worse though, they could have nobody who cared and at least she cared enough to check things out. Hopefully others would show up, too...but folks had a tendency to run away from trouble rather than towards it. It was in that moment that the crackles of static had voices talking about...a... dragon emerging from the storm. Squinting slightly as she listened intently to the chatter, it was broken up here and there...but focusing on it really helped determine the severity of things. People were dead. People were dying. Getting closer and closer, she was starting to see the carnage for herself, people rushing by her to get away...bobbing and weaving between the reasonably freaked out civilians. Tapping both sides of her visor as she skid to a stop, it activated the voice changing feature and made it so her voice had a somewhat more robotic air to it as she spoke up nice n' loud, "HEY CHUCKLEFUCK!" Calling out to the dragon, she held her arm that was protected by an armored shell, waving it around at all angles so it would capture the sheen and light to make it shine more. Hopefully catching the dragon's attention even more, "OVER HERE! COME GET SOME!" Kicking up some debris, treating a rock like it was a hackey sack to make some more noise before catching it in the air to YEET it at the dragon! After she was sure she got the guy's attention, she quickly skated off to try luring this very clearly dangerous individual away and towards a more isolated area. Avoiding going in a straight line, changing up her pattern as she moved along like it was an invisible game of hockey or something, she didn't readily see anyone else around out the gate... ...though all she could hope is she was able to skate faster than the stormy goofus doofus dragon could fly or at least be a contender to be a distraction! Pacing her breath as she kept moving along, trying to map out a plan....it sure would be nice if she had the luxury of having people on speed dial for help. As far as she was aware, she was all alone in this and she'd have to make the best of it....but she had hope that there was still light at the end of the tunnel for this situation. [ Outfit!]

[attr="class","shinigami"] Stalking Prey The rock didn’t even dent the beast’s scales, but it did provide the most minor bit of stimuli. A direction for it to focus on. The creature’s long form slithered through the air, its back half arched up while its front half came dangerously close to where Jaida was located. Smoke came pouring forth from its nostrils, a hot haze that felt and sounded almost like steam as it escaped his body. It tried to lock eyes with the disturbance, but already the vigilante was on the move, bobbing and weaving as she tried to pull its focus further away. The thing once known as Ryuu howled with bestial fury as it rapidly moved its body in a serpentine form, just barely levitating along the ground as it raced towards her.
It was a shame it had come to this. Dion had known Ryuu- they’d gone to the same orphanage, after all. The kid was scrawny growing up, and didn’t really have any friends- the submissive sort that was easily pressured by others. His power had come out a few times when they still lived together, but Ryuu had only been a child then- and his quirk had still been weak enough that Dion could keep him in check before he caused any real damage. Ryuu had probably been twelve or so when Dion last saw him. Apparently he’d gotten caught up with some shady people. One day, he simply left and never came back. Nobody had cared enough to look for him. Ever since he’d gone ballistic over two weeks ago, Dion had been keeping an eye on the rehab center. He wanted Ryuu’s second chance to workout- to see the man overcome his addiction and grow as a person. Unfortunately, he’d lost control once more. Already he’d killed and injured dozens, and would probably continue to cause chaos until he was put down for good. ”I’m sorry I couldn’t save you.” He muttered quietly under his breath. He’d been watching over the place from the rooftop of one of the nearby buildings, keeping his eyes open for an opportunity to strike. Ryuu was massive now that he was older and further gone mentally, but Dion possessed amazing speed and strength. All he needed was the right opportunity to make the perfect strike- a clean stab through the head- and Ryuu would be done for. His claws popped out from between his knuckles, like blades being unsheathed. Before he could get an opportunity to make his killshot, however, it seemed someone else had gotten involved. The woman was wearing some kind of high-tech armor. Dion was intimately familiar with the heroes in Tokyo, and knew for a fact she wasn’t one of them. Not unless she was brand new, anyways- but then she wouldn’t be out here all alone. The scrawny woman had struck at Ryuu despite the difference in size. It hadn’t done any damage really, but it was clear what she was trying to do: drag him away from people. Making sure nobody else got hurt. Knowing this, the tiger vigilante had no choice but to act. Damn it…!—-- With a great leap, Dion pounced from the rooftop, silhouetted by moonlight as he came plummeting down with his claws. With great violence, they tore some of the beast’s scales clean off, rending flesh. Blood leaked from the open wounds, trickling down its side. The creature screamed in pain, its body writhing at high speed as Dion clung to its back for his life. He’d definitely succeeded in hurting it, but a creature of this size wouldn’t die from blood loss with a small wound like this. Still, he couldn’t let the damn woman die. He was on a timer- he could only fight for so long, and the dragon was aware of his presence now. Everything would be decided in a matter of minutes. He cast his gaze downwards- yellow, cat-like eyes locking with her visor. ”Run or fight! There’s no time for half-assed measures!” He shouted down at her, struggling to raise his voice above the beast’s screams. [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass] TL;DR - The dragon comes slithering down to the ground, exhales smoke from its nostrils, and starts chasing Jaida - Dion was perched up on a nearby rooftop making sure nothing like this happens; once knew Ryuu - Dion was waiting for an opportunity to make a stealthy, fatal strike, but is moved by Jaida's courage and leaps into the fray - Wounds Ryuu by digging his claws in, tearing past scales and flesh, but it's not even close to enough to be lethal. The dragon starts screeching and writhing as Dion clings on with his claws - He shouts at Jaida to either fight or run, and says there's no time for half-assed measures

While getting into position, the situation escalated. There were now two others dealing with the dragon. The first threw a rock that bounced harmlessly off its reinforced scales — they seemed akin to steel at first glance. If it weren’t for the stone, then Antoine would have wasted a pool ball doing the same thing. But there was still information to be gathered. When the tiger pounced on the dragon and tore flesh off its back, he knew that this beast could be harmed. The question was whether he could harm it. There was no guarantee he could trust these two. There was no guarantee they’d be able to coordinate with each other. And even if they could, would they let this person, whoever they were, die? Antoine pulled the four-link chain and his body transformed from flesh to force as black wisps formed a silhouette approximating a human. He donned a demon mask, one he had been named after in the Caribbean. These same wisps manifested in the briefcase before him. He pulled out his modified pool stick and pool balls. They were now coated in melted steel originating from his four-link chain — now five-links and made of force, too. Aiming the pool ball at the spine of the dragon, he slammed the pool stick against it — the projectile flew and made contact, damaging the scales but ultimately failing to pierce through. “I guess I’ll have to use the tiger’s claws.” Antoine closed the distance, running toward the two engaged with the dragon. Trusting them was a gamble, but there were too many people at risk. It’d only take him a minute but it felt like forever on the battlefield.

sling shot Well, she got the creature's attention...! Pacing her breathing as she quickly moved along, her gaze constantly darting around as she tried to spot a perfect place to try and trap this murderous fella. There was a way...she knew there was, there was always a way..! Though something was going on, she... ...wasn't alone? Shoot! No, maybe it was all in her head and this dragon was bumping into things?! ...no. That shriek, it wasn't an ouchies, I bumped into something sort of sound, no...twirling as she slowed her pace, she couldn't help but gasp as her vibrant pink eyes shot wide open beneath the visor. Part of her wanted to snap at the person who was helping her, whether this was some hero she didn't read about in the registry, "TRYING TO GET THIS ASSHOLE AWAY FROM HURTING MORE PEOPLE ISN'T HALF-ASSED, OKAY?!" As she shouted out those words, she ripped off the plate of metal covering her shoulder and waggled it for emphasis. The edges crackled with a bit of electricity upon the piece of her exposed skin and didn't seem to bother her in the slightest. With her gaze looking it over the broken off shoulder piece real quick, she shifted her gaze towards the open wound and saw an opportunity...then...was that a ball or something...?! That thing actually cracked the scales from what it sounded like! Woah okay...a plan was brewing in her head and she really hated the idea of potentially killing whoever this mass murderer was, for all she knew...this dragon guy was a quirked individual who just straight up had violently angry as a side effect. Oooor....it could be a summon resulted from a quirk that went totally haywire...? The possibilities weren't endless...but definitely long as hell! All she knew is she'd have to work with those around her who had a common enemy at the moment, trust that the common ground of saving everyone around them was crucial enough. The launcher on her back should have the right amount of force to get the metal shard into the wound...it was a lot lighter than her own body and that thing could lift her for a lil' rocket hop! Quickly pulling the launcher off of her back, she loaded up the metallic shoulder piece into the slot before cranking the dial. Taking in a deep breath to hold it in so her body would be steady, she took aim for the open wound and pulled the trigger as her body swiftly moved backwards from the sheer acceleration of force! Though she forced herself to skid to a stop, she couldn't risk putting away the wheels on her shoes just yet since it was the only way she could realistically have a chance of moving fast enough. On her own two feet, she would be too slow...that was just a fact. If the metal shoulder piece made contact it would get wedged into the flesh and need to get hammered into there, so for a moment, she blurted out "POOL GUY! HEY UH-"Lightly smacking her forehead, realizing practically everyone and their mom's spoke Japanese, she then began flailing her free hand while balancing the launcher on her shoulder. Motioning towards where she made an attempt to shoot...almost like a lil chopping motion, then blurted out in Japanese as though to correct herself from that slip of the tongue, "PLEASE AIM THERE!" Japanese was something she had a grip on, but sometimes the English randomly slipped out as a force of habit since she lived in New York prior to moving here years ago. Sometimes it was a hassle since she wasn't exactly a local, but she usually picked up well enough and kept moving forward. Continuing to skate around, avoiding the sitting duck trope...she was also trying to scope out any other potential weak spots they could take advantage of. [TLDR!] Yells at Dion about not being half-assed while ripping off a piece of her armor (shoulder piece) For keen eyed folks: The electricity from the broken armor piece didn't bother her at all, shoulder skin is exposed. Loads the broken shoulder piece into her launcher, holds her breath to steady her body and launches it towards the open wound Dion made. If it makes contact, it should be enough to stick it into the exposed flesh wound! How well, that's your call! Accidentally calls out to Ghouligan in English, lil facepalm at herself, then swaps back to talking in Japanese, motioning towards the open wound. Skating around to keep moving to avoid being a sitting duck, but also looking for other weak points, too!

[attr="class","shinigami"] Stalking Prey It wasn’t Dion’s first rodeo, but nevertheless he was in danger of falling off. Which, of course, would mean severe injury- possibly even death. The creature was almost ten times his size after all, and much heavier than him. He could feel his claws start to slip from the flesh, so he drove them in further, refusing to give in. The more the dragon struggled, the deeper Dion clung to its back. Soon enough, a shot came out of the darkness- something small and spherical that slammed against its side. It wasn’t enough to pierce the creature’s sturdy scales, but it did cause the creature to pause for just a moment. Enough for the woman to land a devastating blow. Dion quickly leapt away from the wound as the shard pierced its exposed flesh, electricity coursing through its body. Although the dragon was massive and seemed somewhat adapted to electricity, it definitely had an effect. The beast let out an ear-piercing scream, but its movements were rigid, and much slower- like its muscles were locking up. It wouldn’t last more than a few seconds, but it was enough to buy Dion some time. ”Solid hits. Keep that shit coming!” he shouted down at them. As he did so, he dug his claws back into the flesh, deep enough to scoop under the scales, and began running vertically up towards its head. Though they weren't embedded as deeply as his first attack, he was peeling off two long, thin rows of scales. Blood and exposed flesh took their place, open to the world. If he could make the target area bigger for his timely comrades, then they’d be able to help him get closer to the head. The tiger vigilante was about halfway to the dragon’s skull when it regained its composure. Immediately, it began arching its body backwards in on itself like a rollercoaster loop. Eyes widening, Dion dug in his claws as best he could, now hanging high in the air upside down. As he struggled not to become a stain on the pavement, the creature began taking in air and electricity once more, its open maw crackling as it prepared for another blast. [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass] TL;DR - Ignores Jaida's rebuttal - Ghouligan and Jaida's combined efforts lock up the creature's movements for a few seconds - Dion praises the two for their attacks - Digs his claws into the creature's body and starts running up towards the head, peeling off scales as he goes to give them more areas to work with - Dragon regains its composure and arches its body backwards like a rollercoaster loop- Dion is clinging onto its body upside down, slipping off - The dragon is also charging up for another lightning breath attack

She got his attention. Sort of. Whether or not it was a mistake, the woman had spoken to him in English. It wasn’t his first language but it was one he understood. She immediately switched to Japanese causing a rift between them. If it weren’t for her body language, then he’d be at a loss. Fortunately, human panic transcends languages. And her desperation warranted respect. From what he had seen, she had been saving civilians. Antoine aimed the cue stick and slammed it against the billiard ball, hoping to create another opening. Immediately after he’d reach down and grab an elixir from his pocket. A small tilt of his mask and a gulp later he would bridge the language barrier between them. Ten minutes before the slug’s out. He shuddered at the thought. It was so, so gross. But if he were still transformed, he wouldn’t have to taste the damn thing. “You resist electricity?” Antoine caught up with her, similarly skating while keeping aim on the dragon. If her non-reaction from earlier was an indication, then her most effective role would be that of a tank. From what Antoine saw, he’s not sure how well he’d hold up against a direct blast himself. The dangling feline was another problem unto itself. Without his claws, there wasn’t a way to quickly subdue the reptile. Antoine launched another billiard ball. This time, it’d stop directly below Dion’s feet, immovable. “Let go!” Antoine yelled. If he listened, then he would find himself standing atop a platform of air a few inches above the billiard ball. There wasn’t a lot of room to work with, but this would give him stable footing for the time being. “You’ve got one jump!”
- Aims a shot where Jaida pointed. - Swallows a slug that lets him speak Japanese for 10 minutes. - Catches up with Jaida after noticing she resists electricity and tries to confirm. - Shoots another pool ball to create a one-time use platform for Dion Ward to jump off of.

sling shot You know what? Getting tuned out while there was a whole lot of fuckshit going on wasn't the worst thing in the world and didn't bother her one bit! Water off a duck's back for her and didn't add on a shred of frustration one bit. There were definitely bigger things to worry about with all of this.... ...like this guy clinging for his dear life on that dragon dude! OH SNAP! Part of her thoughts flipped into an outright panic as if it was an office on fire with the workers within tried to douse the embers as it spilled into a puddle of chaos. Taking in a sharp breath through her nostrils, she put out the blaze in her brain by rolling out the red carpet of solutions. Shouting up to the man who had to endure the topsy-turvey twirl of their common foe, "HANG IN THERE!" Ripping off another piece of her armor, she tried her best to keep her eye on the tiger guy, rapidly skating along as she loaded up her launcher once more. Although she messed up the connections between her tech by breaking apart the armor pieces on her arm, the scrawny chick was more worried about saving lives than having an easier time controlling her tech. It was doing something, or at least that's what her green cloaked ally clinging for dear life implied. So it was time to go for the second verse, same as the first! Noticing the billiard ball smack the wound exactly where she asked, it was...a...delightful surprise that the pool shark vigilante followed her instructions which caused a bright smile in this moment of darkness to cross her lips. The jackass she was stuck with during her Pro-Hero test didn't listen...so it was nice to see that change. At least this wasn't going to be an uphill climb like it was back then... Sparing him a glance about the time he caught up with her, the corner of her mouth lightly twitched as he asked about her resistance to electricity. "Y-yeah! Helps a lot in my line of work, h-heh!" The amount of times she was rescued by her quirk from being electrocuted to death while making machines and equipment was a sizable number to put it lightly. Part of her had a shred of anxiety towards folks knowing what her quirk was since...well...if someone had no life and knew everything about folks who didn't make the cut, they could probably put two and two together about who she was. Imagining vigilantes realizing there was a point in her life where she tried to go legit was...nerve wracking to say the least. Though that concern was tucked away in a box this time since she was more than willing to use her quirk in full to save a life if that's what it boiled down to. There was no way she'd try to cover her own ass if it meant sacrificing someone, even if they were a total stranger, that didn't matter. A life was a life which...is why she had to do her best to stop that dragon from slaughtering more folks. No more body counts if she and the impromptu allies could help it! Balancing the loaded launcher against her shoulder, her eyes were darting around...trying to figure out if she should shoot the dragon and then attempt to catch the tiger dude or maybe stretch out her skin to make a trampoline. Though it looked like she wouldn't have to continue through the rolodex of possible saves when pool guy made a platform! When she heard him let the tiger dude know it was safe, she instinctively nodded and thoughtfully blurted out, "It looks sturdy! You'll be okay! Promise!" Even though deep down, she knew she was a total stranger...it didn't hurt to offer assurance. Now, it was time to be a distraction since...well... ...it looked like the dragon was going for a charged attack, that was something she could handle...she was pretty sure of it. The way it was taking in electricity, she could take one for the team at the cost of her equipment no longer functioning properly. Just because she was resistant, it didn't mean the electronics on her were, too...and that was fine. As long as her boots were stuck as skates, she could at least still move around, that was the most crucial thing for her right now. Glancing back towards the pool guy, the fact he was listening and helping weighed heavily in the department of actions speak louder than words. "I'm about to do something crazy, hopefully it makes an opening...! So please stay back and get ready to attack again, okay?" Saying those words sternly with an air of concern to them, she didn't want him to sick close and get himself hurt for the crazy ass stunt she was about to pull. If he attacked from afar, like he had been, it would have a high chance of being safer for her allies in the moment. Leaning forward as she picked up the pace, then turned towards the dragon...lining herself up with its head as she aimed her launcher towards its face...namely the big guy's mouth. "HEY ASSHOLE! YOU COULD USE MORE IRON IN YOUR DIET!" Holding her breath once more to secure a lil more accuracy for the center in hopes of getting the piece of metal into its mouth. Seizing the moment, that's when she fired the broken piece of her armor into the open maw of the dragon! The sheer force of the launcher at its highest setting caused her to skid backward for a moment before leaning forward and rocking her heels back to stop. For now, she was no longer a moving target, but a sitting duck who was nice and still. If this all went according to plan... ...this was going to be a rather shocking experience! As long as this asshole hyper focused her, the heavy hitters could do what they needed to do safely enough...right? ....right? [TLDR] Jaida doesn't mind that she was ignored lol. Called out to Dion to hang in there, then broke a piece of her arm's armor off to load it in the launcher while continuing to skate around. Happy that she wasn't ignored, yay team work! When Ghouligan caught up, she looked over and was a lil nervous about answering him regarding her resistance to electricity, but is honest about it also adding it's helpful in her line of work. Contemplating ways to catch Dion, but notices the platform and backs up Ghouligan by assuring it's safe to land on since as far as she can tell, it looks sturdy! Tells Ghouligan (and inherently Dion if he's listening to her!) she's gonna do something crazy to make an opening, stay back and get ready. Distances herself from Ghouligan and gets herself in front of the dragon, called it an asshole and "insulted" its diet before shooting the loaded piece of broken arm armor into the dragon's mouth. Tried her best to steady her body and shoot for the center, how accurate the shot really is will be up to you! Staying still like a sitting duck so the dragon has her as a stationary target to shoot with electricity! YES this will fry the tech that's on her F for respects for her tech in your TLDR if the dragon shoots her with lightning lol

[attr="class","shinigami"] Stalking Prey Dion obeyed his strange new comrades, retracting his claws and allowing himself to land in a three-point stance on top of the platform. “Oh that’s fucking tasty. I like your style, pool boy.”He readied himself in the air for that next big jump, trying to land a killing blow on Ryuu’s head- but the dragon was too large and moving too quickly. Clicking his tongue, he instead opted to leap onto its back once more, making his way towards the head as fast as he could, traveling on all fours. Something crazy? “What are you-”Before the tiger vigilante had a chance to question the little twink’s actions, she’d already jumped into the thick of it. Another childish insult that didn’t seem to do more than agitate the beast with her screaming- but what really got its attention was the twenty-one gigawatt jawbreaker she slammed down its throat. Smoke poured out from its nostrils, but whatever she’d done had riled him up more than ever. The creature’s body vibrated with fury, letting out a piercing cry accompanied by the sound of death and lightning. A blue column of electricity erupted from its throat directly at Jaida, blasting through her and several blocks further past. Parked cars buckled, their windows shattering, tires popping, alarms going haywire. Street lamps cracked and flickered. The sheer force even started to rip up pieces of the street along with it. ”Tiny!” Dion shouted, but his voice could barely be heard over the thunderous force. The blast only lasted a few seconds, but the devastation was so great that large clouds of smoke still clung over where it had been moments before. There was no doubt a gruesome sight awaiting him once it all cleared away. ”If only I’d been fucking faster…” [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass] TL;DR - Dion lands on the platform and compliments Ghouligan - Leaps back onto the creature's back and starts running on all fours to reach the head - Tries to shout to Jaida but it's too late - Dragon shoots massive column of lightning breath, directly hitting Jaida and several blocks behind her; massive collateral damage - Big plumes of smoke in the aftermath, Dion shouts for her and curses himself for not being faster, assuming Jaida is dead

With Jaida’s resistance to electricity, Antoine immediately broke off. If she were to act as a decoy and the tiger was the heavy hitter, then he’d have to continue striking from a range. Antoine offered opportunities to the others. His ability to manipulate the battlefield at a range would better serve the group than bludgeoning the dragon with his cue stick. Dion jumped off the platform. As the tiger clawed onto the dragon, Antoine shot a billiard ball to his platform. The two would then collide into each other, then that dragon, and harmlessly ricochet back into Antoine’s hands. If I run out of these, I’m useless. That wasn’t entirely true. But with Antoine’s newly defined role, he understood his value to the group. He took aim. Unlike Dion, he didn’t panic when the beast wrought havoc on the city. There were two truths available to him. She either resisted the blast or didn’t. If she did, he shouldn’t be concerned with the damage to the city. What was done was done. If she died, he wouldn’t waste the opportunity. A blow like that would kill any one of them. Antoine doesn’t need to breathe, not in this form. But the motions guide him. It’s the ritual of it all. The battle is one of moments. Moments turned into opportunity. And that opportunity leveraged into fatal blows against this monster. Antoine may have rationalized the situation, but he still had a heart. He’d respond to this bastard in kind. Three billiard balls found themselves like a triangle around the dragon’s neck. When they reached their mark, they stopped. They never made contact with the dragon’s scales. Instead, when they locked into position they created a collar around the creature. The friction between the balls had increased so dramatically that the air itself — despite looking unchanged — was as difficult to move through as the concrete or steel of a building. “Focus!” He barked. “We’ll mourn when it’s dead.”
- Breaks off from Jaida immediately. - Ricochets the floating pool ball from the dragon and back into his hands. - Buries emotions about Jaida's well-being. Sort of. - Shoots three more billiard balls to create a collar of friction around the dragon's neck. It's roughly equivalent to concrete/steel. - Tells Dion to focus.

sling shot Good...everyone seemed to respect each other well enough that they had a base level of trust...that was nice... ...really nice, actually. Well, this was it... Furrowing her brows beneath the visor, part of her knew just how batshit bananas it was to tank so many volts...but she felt like there weren't many options left. This would ensure the guys who seemed like they could do more damage could position themselves and maybe even but this damn thing in its place, stop it from hurting more people. That was the goal.Save the ones who were still alive. If this was her final stand? Then so be it.Flashing off a confident grin for what could be the last time as far as any of them knew, "This is it, do or die time. muttering those words to herself as she saw the wild quirker's body tremble. Slamming her launcher down, crouching behind it quickly. Well, this was the best she could do in such a pinch! Kneeling as she braced for the impending impact, closing her eyes tightly while gritting her teeth as the electricity rippled along her body. It was still an unpleasant feeling, but hot damn did being made of a weird, rubbery material sure help during times like these...! With her visor cracking, that was one of the tell tale signs that her equipment wasn't going to survive in the slightest, that was fine though. Everything could rebuilt, it was a small price to pay...plus she was already screwing up her suit by ripping off pieces to use as ammunition for her launcher. Heh... Destroying her own tech and putting her life on the line for a bunch of strangers, she could only imagine her sibling probably calling her nuts or something for everything today... ...but maybe part of them would think she was something special about wanting to protect people's right to simply live. Then again, would her sibling even believe that this happened? Probably not...it felt like no one in her family truly believed she could be anything close to the hero she did her best to be. All thanks to that dipshit, Rolio who made her seem like she was the least competent candidate to help anyone.... ....that was fine. It felt like her body was locked up for a bit, like her nerves went on a little strike for the time being. Coughing up a bit of smoke with a wheeze, those vibrant pink optics darted around to take in the sights of what she saw as a failure on her part. "...go me..." Those two words seemed to shake things up within her, stirring a few more coughs, she kicked herself real hard on the inside for failing to consider how much of an asshole their opponent was. Lash out on everything rather than just her... Even though she looked more or less okay, slumped over her launcher, the fur lining around her vest singed a bit n' all that... ...for her, it sounded like she was submerged and stuck with a crying heart monitor. Trying to push herself up, forcing herself through the stubbornness of her nerves only caused her body to flump over and look more like a possible corpse outside of her breathing. Okay so maybe she needed juuuuust a moment to let her body get all of its shit together after that. Hopefully the other two would be okay in the mean time...from her position on the ground, she couldn't really see what was going on too well. Aside from the figure of that massive beast, of course..that thing was damn hard to miss. [TLDR] Was really happy about them all having enough respect to trust one another enough, she thought that was really nice ;v; Gives em' a smile before hunkering down quickly behind her launcher before tanking the blast like a goddamn idiotic champion Shoo bee doo bee doo introspective goodness She's coughing, but eyyyy it's Jaida, the twink who lived! Well she's alive and all, but her hearing is kinda messed up at the moment. Jaida failed to get up, looks kinda dead right now because her nerves are being kinda goofy from tanking so many volts. A keen eye will allow em' to see she's still breathing though. (She'll be ready to do stuff next post, though!) P.S: Her voice changer is busted like the rest of her tech.

[attr="class","shinigami"] Stalking Prey The silhouetted man was right. There wasn't time to be upset when there were still lives in danger. There was the matter of how long he could hold up, too. Dion possessed immense speed and power, but his stamina was limited. This is why he usually tracked down and stalked his prey until the perfect opportunity arose. In a battle of attrition, he couldn't hold out very long. Panting for breath, he started bounding towards the head. As the smoke began to clear, he saw her there. Injured but still alive. A sharp-toothed grin spread across his face. "Glad to see you can take a hit, Tiny!"With the other fellow having locked the beast in place with a pool-ball collar, it was up to Dion to finish the job. He leapt into the air right as he reached the creature's head, and came down hard. Claws sliced deep into the creature's skull, cutting its brain to ribbons. The dragon sputtered and groaned, but it only took a few seconds for the life to fully leave its eyes. It fell to the ground below, destroying the stretch of road where it landed. [attr="class","mizocredit"] [newclass=.mizocredit a]font:bold 6pt calibri;letter-spacing:1px;color:#b5d1f1;[/newclass] [newclass=.shinigami]width:540px;padding:35px; border:1px solid #e1e1e1; background: #e1f79d; /* Old breakowsers */ background: -moz-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%, #6f667b 100%); /* FF3.6-15 */background: -webkit-linear-gradient(-45deg, #343c52 0%,#6f667b 100%); /* Chrome10-25,Safari5.1-6 */background: linear-gradient(120deg, #343c52 20%,#6f667b 80%)[/newclass] Tl;dr - Knows that Ghouligan is right and that he has to focus - Panting heavily, has shit stamina - Relieved and surprised to see Jaida still alive - Slices the dragon's brain to ribbons - Dragon falls, its body crushing the section of road it lands on

Blood and brain matter stained the floor. The roaring dragon had been brought down but a glance at the battlefield would be reminder enough of their monumental failures. The heroes had measures in place for this — businesses had insurance, rescue and evac teams would soon arrive to help any stragglers they missed. But the damage is done. People were hurt. Some lives would be irrevocably altered. And the oncoming reconstruction efforts would be a grim reminder to everyone to continue their lives… whether they were ready or not. The smoke didn’t clear. It wouldn’t for a while. The unholy concoction of rubble and viscera and static clung to the air. Antoine stared at the behemoth, their corpse unmoving. Not a breath in sight. His primary objective was complete. With that he surveyed the area, ensuring there weren’t any side effects to the creature's death. Scavengers? Opportunists? You never knew what might crawl out from the debris to feast upon the creature’s flesh or gnaw on the city's soul. Antoine rushed over to Jaida. The area was clear. And any opposition seemed to have halted. They needed to get her, and themselves, out of there before the heroes arrived. “She’s breathing!” Antoine called Dion over. Then, back to her. “You still with us? We’ve got to go.”

sling shot God's strongest chew toy never took that many volts in one sitting, so it was seriously good to know that even though it didn't kill her... that many volts riding on her skin tickled her nerves. The prickly feeling of pins and needles bugged her a great deal since...well...it tapped away at some unsavory memories. Offering an uneasy smile to the one she dubbed as Pool Guy in her brain, she was able to get away from thinking about how the tested her quirk's limits a while back. Nodding solemnly to silently answer him that she wasn't dead and still with em', it was clear as day that she understood the gravity of what they did here. More so when she looked towards the corpse and that smile dimmed like the sun burning out at sun set. It wasn't a summon manifested by a quirk, it would have vanished by now. No, that was a person. They straight up killed someone. They ripped the life from someone and it wasn't exactly something that left her feeling chipper. Knowing that it was literally the only option on their plate...knocking them out probably wouldn't have kept the masses safe in this scenario. That was a tough pill to swallow for someone who saw a life as having more value and weight than just taking up space in the world. This person may have gone on a murder spree...but they didn't know the full story at all... ...or at least she didn't. There were people in the world who lost themselves because of their quirk, a lot like how substance abuse can change a good person into a terrible one. This person was...maybe a victim of poor life choices and not awful. Maybe it was silly, but there was part of her that wondered if anyone out there would mourn that person's departure from this world. If anyone would so much offer them a moment of silence, say something nice about their memory of him and knew him outside of...well... a monster that had to be slain. Closing her eyes as she pushed herself off the ground, she knew from the urgency in his tone that this wasn't the place or time to stand around to respect and honor the memory of the life they took. It was the least she wanted to do since...she didn't know this person and offered them the benefit of a doubt that they weren't always this way. Things change a person and...she knew how that went, kind of sort of.... Part of her wasn't sure if she should use her real voice to speak up, a voice changer offered her a sense of security when it came to dealing with folks she didn't know. Yet, these two were safe company, they seemed to have her back and didn't give the gonna throw me under the bus like Rolio vibe. "My tech's busted to shiiiit....so uh...I...don't know the safest route, but we'll figure it out together." Saying those words with a sense of concern and draped in comfort, it was enough to show she wasn't ready to give up despite feeling a bit lost. Rather than assume any of them knew this area like the back of their hand, she scooped up her busted launcher and held it close as she tried to look for whatever looked like could offer the most coverage for the three of them. "I...I think I came here from that way..?" Tilting her head towards a disheveled as hell alley way, she pouted slightly since everything looked so different with all the destruction that happened. "...if either of you know this area more, I'll follow." Lightly tapping her wheels against the ground in an effort to wake up her legs a bit more, she would give them a moment to either take her suggestion or follow whoever seemed like they knew where to go. After all... ...it could be worse! NONE OF THEM COULD HAVE A CLUE! Ya know what, though? With two others here, that was at least a 50/50 chance of someone being like a sneaky tour guide to safety! Those odds weren't terrible!
