[attr="class","header2"]OVERVIEW
» NAME: Laila Oye
» AGE: Eighteen
» GENDER: Female
» AFFILIATION: Villain
» ALIAS: Ai | Mauna
» OCCUPATION: Assistant | Student
» THEME: Inner Universe | Es | I love You
[attr="class","body"]
Her personality is ultimately shaped by her brother. Laila is an extremely clever individual whose eye for detail, analytical prowess, and clever nature make her an important player on almost any team she chooses to align herself with. She is polite, almost to the point of annoyance, soft-spoken, and often quiet.
As a child, she was always taught to strive to attain knowledge, something that her brother fostered to help take root; after all, knowledge is power. Her keen eye for details, in combination with this, makes her more than formidable both in and out of the board rooms. She can spot subtle changes in people that most overlook and detect lies from most people, another skill that her brother found to be quite useful. These skills are what ultimately led to their siphoning of funds from their company before they had fully completed the takeover.
Laila’s clever nature also plays into her motives well, as she oftentimes can force her way into the most advantageous situations. But with all of these things working in her favor, her naivety still serves as one of her biggest flaws. She truly believes that her siblings only want the best for one another, which may not always be the case, and while the others may believe they are better suited to lead the family to their ultimate goal, she believes that only Ravindra can do it.
Her naivety also lends to her narcissistic tendencies, but her narcissism is centered around Ravindra. She believes that he is truly unbeatable, and if anything were to happen, he would always arrive to rescue her; after all, that’s what he promised.
But with all this, Laila is admittedly withdrawn from others, feeling as if she can never truly let her hair down and be her real self in fear that her actions will negatively affect the image of her brother. Her emotions are often bottled up until she can’t contain them anymore and erupt in a flurry of emotions, which she typically does in solitude.

Laila isn't too fond of talking much about her past. No one is exactly sure as to why, but all of the Oye siblings seemed to be rather secretive. The most anyone has managed to get from her about her life before they arrived in Japan is that they were originally from Mumbai, India, the business capital. After the move, her older brother Ravindra looked after her in whatever slums they were able to call home. Life for them has never been easy since the move, but they made do. Through all of their years, Ravindra was the sibling who she felt closeted to, although she was never fully certain if the feeling was reciprocated, but they were all they had.
Laila would remember how her older siblings would reminisce about the time with their parents and things they learned before the family was separated. Ravindran, especially, would quote a lot of their father’s words, claiming that “in business, there wasn’t any room for remorse.” Something he took and held onto, which helped as he was the first of the siblings to get a decent job working for a reputable company. And just as he had been thought to be ruthless and calculated, every backstab and every bit of dirt he threw all had their purpose as he rose through the ranks.
And as he rose, he even found places for his siblings to enter the company. But it wasn’t for simple good; they all had skills that made them useful. Laila’s skill came with her quirk; due to its nature, she was very skilled at not only theft but also espionage. He moved her frequently, often putting her near people who he wished could be out of his way, and as Laila often said, she would do anything for her older brother, so she took care of them.
She did whatever was needed—forgeries, exposed corporation secrets through their accounts, whatever she had to get them out of her brother’s way. Eventually, it became second nature. The number of people they had framed was too much to count; some were fired, some racked with guilt and fled the country fearing the corporation, some were even sent to prison, and a few simply vanished without a trace. She knew what they were—villains—but she couldn’t stop; it was all for her older brother. And in the corporate world, there was never, ever any room for remorse.
It didn’t take long for her brother's intentions to be made clear. Where their parents sought to make a company, his dream was to make an empire. With him at the head, they had seen enough of the darkness in this world. The heroes were paid goons, so he had to take matters into his own hands. Ravindra used his influence to slowly take over the corporation, making it his own, and once it was his, his focus became control and power to fill the void. And what better place to take control than the people who consider themselves to be lawless? He was a villain, and so were they, but even villains needed order—someone to follow. Why wouldn’t it be them?

EQUIPMENT NAME: Four Eyes
EQUIPMENT RANK: C -
EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER:
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: Her glasses, as well as her prescription, also serve another purpose. Through painstaking research, she has managed to lay a thin film between her lenses, which can give her an augmented reality view. In this view, she can discern things such as computer access points, record and download a fair amount of information, or even access her brother's company servers to allow her to properly identify company employees and pull a list of their general information.
EQUIPMENT NAME: Holo-Keys
EQUIPMENT RANK: D +
EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER:
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION: This gadget works in tandem with her glasses, giving her the project of a holographic digital keyboard. The base and motion tracking of this projection is built into her bangles. Due to the link with her glasses, it is entirely up to her whether the keyboard is visible to others, projected via a special wave of light only allowing her glasses to see, or lenses calibrated similarly to see.

QUIRK NAME: Sarakaana
QUIRK RANK: C
QUIRK TYPE: Emitter - Transport
QUIRK DESCRIPTION: Laila’s quirk is something of an oddity. Her body produces a strange energy that allows her to temporarily charge items and, in some cases, people that are in close proximity to herself. Once the target is charged, she can freely swap positions with said person or object.
QUIRK DRAWBACKS:
In order to charge an item, it takes time. Although small items can be passively charged while in her possession, the larger the object, the longer it takes to charge it. Additionally, she might be small in comparison to others, but if the space she attempts to shift into cannot physically fit her body, then she cannot be shifted into its location. But most importantly, her quirk does have a maximum range of about sixty yards.

- Spatial Awareness: Due to the nature of her quirk, Laila’s mind has adapted to an abnormally high level of spatial awareness. Not only does this extend to her own person but also items and people that she has charged as well. Allowing her to have a general feel for the size of rooms she may not have visual contact with or have ever entered.
- Tight Squeeze: Her quirk works by interfering physically with another item or person, giving her a unique ability. If a door is locked, she can simply charge an item, such as a card, and slide it under the door, then switch places to enter the room undetected. She can also throw items away from herself and then change places to give her a better vantage point.
