Well.

This wasn't the best situation, it could be worse, but instead of bleeding from her sides Jo could've been bleeding from her jugular and dead on the ground. So ya know, take the good with the bad and right now there was a lot more bad than good.

The scalie was already regenerating and Jo was dazed and trying her hardest to focus on the ongoing situation. The sound of a guttural laugh could be heard coming from the lizard as they stood up their body regenerating at a slow pace.

"Any last pleas before I slice you to ribbons?" The voice called out with a sickening bloody grin.

"Go fuck yourself." A voice not belonging to JoJo or Peacekeeper responded, this belonged to another. Despite the blood that was falling from JoJo the reaction was enough to confuse the lizard for a moment and a moment was that was needed in this scenario.

Ichor went flying upwards to the car that was wedged in the building and pulled it with force that shouldn't have been capable from a hurt student. It wasn't long before the wedged vehicle had been plucked and with force came careening down up the lizard's healing body and with a loud smash hammered the creature into the ground through the tar of the street.

The arm that had been holding the peacekeeper even now was no longer connected to the reptilian creature.

 second wind blew, revitalizing Farrin with every breath. Dark and dusty blemishes dotted his upper body where the slashes and burns in his suit parted the fibers and protective materials. Farrin was no healer. Even accelerated, time wouldn't see these wounds healed for days. Fatigue accosted his muscles, but despondency and stasis would not be abided here. 

In the mental recesses of his time-touched mind, Farrin stuck his forefinger into the black waters that connected him to his others throughout time. Just a dash, a single hit of temporal convergence's strength. It's all he needed. 

Black spicula cut rained over the student. Asphalt shattered. Dust spat into the air. Above it, Farrin soared. He kicked off the air itself and plunged ahead. A raised fist let loose half a dozen adhesive rounds into the Inky beast, which continued to struggle with the first few that made contact. Escape was a long-forgotten effort now. With the wild swipe of its hands, it continued to shoot more dark needles Farrin's way, but the rounds of his linear cannons burst through the attack and slapped into the beast. More deep blue goo encased the monster. 

Farrin's fist sparked with emerald energy. He fell, his target entirely open. "Jus' remember, I warned yuh," he threatened, throwing the fist forward. An eruption of white and emerald energies burst, and the Inky man-made-monster splat against the sidewalk below. Farrin landed a moment later, instantly falling to his knees. Ahead, he just caught the Peacekeeper's final attack, a car plunging the reptilian woman into the street. That had to be enough. These guys had to stay down now. 

Farrin fell forward onto his palms. He coughed a fit, and then he saw it. Rolling out from the umbral mess of the ink creature was a syringe. It bumped into his still thumb. Now, what was that?

They stood up straight regardless of the injuries staring down at the lizard with no name who had given them such a chore while trying to fight and hold back. All this holding back and for what? To appease some pathetic personal goal whose only reason for existence was thanks to some old flame that would never leave the States?

Ridiculous.

Cracking their neck, he made them look the other way until he saw the body twitch underneath the car. This time he didn't bother to respond, two large tendrils sprouted from their shoulders and lifted the car like it was a tin can. This was a good lesson he was about to teach. When a dominant force has made its mark on you, if you aren't dead, play dead.

The car was lifted a good seven feet into the air, turned onto its side, and slammed once more into the lizard followed by a second, and finally the third. Each time with more force than the last. the windows were gone. The entire care itself was similar to that of an accordion. The first time the lizard's body slightly tried to regenerate after the second and third times it stopped moving.

He didn't bother to check after that if they were still breathing. At this point, the welp wouldn't even make for a decent meal. Throwing the car to the side, once more he cracked their neck and started to move away from the lizard. It seemed the boy had taken care of the other annoyance. All that needed to be focused on now was getting a handle on the internal injuries these bastards got lucky and were able to land on them.

You'd think she had learned something by now.

arrin fisted the syringe. Empty of any contents, but you never knew if a trace of something might be left behind. Sirens wailed in the distance. He would have to make a decision soon. Hand the syringe over to the authorities or pursue this lead himself. Who did he even know that might find some trace substance and help parse it for its components? There wasn't much time to decide. 

A thunderous slam snatched his attention away from the syringe and toward Peacekeeper. A second slam, then a third. Farrin stood his height and approached as she discarded the vehicle. Waving a few tons around like paperweights. That was some strength. A bit overkill, maybe, though? 

"I think yuh got 'er," he said, half joking, half concerned. 

It wasn't the easiest thing, toeing the line when fighting villainy. But then, whatever drives criminals to such desperation is often the fault of the system itself. They deserved justice, for sure. But not revenge. Revenge was a personal venture, and its cold bite snapped at everyone involved. Still, the reptile was a healer. Maybe overdoing it was exactly what they needed to neutralize the threat. Peacekeeper had proved a friend so far. He wouldn't doubt her now. 

"Yuh' gonna be alright?" He coughed up, clearing muck from his lunges.

He had taken a fair few hits, but if he stuck around, the authorities would likely only give him a slap on the wrist, given his student status. Maybe the school would get involved, but he could always swing self-defense, even if it wasn't exactly true. Peacekeeper, on the other hand, if she wasn't a registered hero, she might get in trouble. She had to be well enough to move. Otherwise, he might have to help her vacate the scene.

While he turned to look at her of course she gained control once again. He was only allowed for moments, this body couldn't handle it right now, but soon enough once it was restored enough to handle HIM he'd have no problem taking the reigns for 'longer ordeals'.

Under the mask, Peacekeeper shook her head and no longer felt the blood seeping at her sides. Looks like someone played amateur surgeon again with her body, but on the bright side. She looked left and right only to see Windy and she sighed.

"Well that was handled properly, or as properly as it could be done." The raspy prepubescent voice came back strong while she patted at her sides which showed some skin for a moment before her body was once again covered. "I'll live, just gotta visit a clinic and drink some water and after that, I'll be good to go once again. You sound horrible though so you'd better get to a hospital unless you need me to call an ambulance for ya."

arrin eyed the reptilian woman. Regeneration slowly returned, but a snail might travel the fifty states before she was back in fighting shape. She was unconscious still, too, which made things easier. The sirens grew closer. Their time was running short. 

"Yeah, I s'pose. They're beat but breathin. We're standin. That's a W in me' book," he replied. Farrin stretched his arms wide, then leaned back into the audible crack of his back. Yeah, something just popped back into place. Or air just escaped his joints, but he would stick with the former explanation. It certainly felt like the more accurate assumption. "I'll be alright. Unless yer' the licensed sort, though, I'd suggest yuh' get a move on. Think it's time I get movin' too." Of course, Farrin still had no clue who Peacekeeper was. If she were a hero, however, there were incredibly high odds she would have lectured him on performing heroics without a license. They had fought back-to-back three times now. She would know this couldn't all be in self-defense. 

Farrin blasted the Reptilian with adhesive rounds, then moseyed on over to Inky and Heat-Ray to repeat the process. He could only hope it wouldn't be traced back to him. There was no other choice, though; he and Peacekeeper would have to vacate, but couldn't risk one of the three getting back up and running. 

Then, Farrin pulled the syringe out of his pocket and snapped it half, dropping one piece by where he found it, near Inky, and pocketing the other. Creative solutions. Let the police have something, keep some for himself. He'd find someone smart enough and properly equipped to look the thing over later. 

"Alright, I think we best get goin'," he said, the blaring lights of police vehicles flush against the buildings down the street. "Good luck, n' thanks again fer' the backup." With that, Farrin leaped into the sky and kicked his way up to the nearest roof.
