So, the criminal life wasn’t all that spectacular. Between random encounters with other criminals, vigilantes trying to justify their personal brand of justice, and heroes — the people you’re literally working for — trying to arrest you… it’s a whole lot of stress. Gabriel hadn’t had the luxury of visiting his friends either. It wasn’t yet time for his report so his peers in the hero association were out of touch. And with his newfound reputation, do you think they’d let him anywhere near UAU? Not a chance. Alumni be damned.

Nightfall took hold of Tokyo. He stumbled across a familiar face as he wandered, avoiding the hostile areas, territories he knew better than to cross (they belonged to Retsu).

“Peacekeeper!” Chirp waved. Hopefully, she hadn’t heard the news about him. And had an explanation for all the… stuff… she was lugging around. “Need… uh, help?”

Peacekeeper was making quite a name for herself, and by a quite a name... not so much a name, more a bad reputation.

Unlike Ms Jett, Jo did give a hoot about it, granted it was her own fault.

The goal of being a vigilante in Japan was too keep everyone off the trace of JoJo back in the United States. Now Peacekeeper had accomplished that goal, the problem was that everyone thought she was a kid. Several days ago after stopping a purse snatcher the civilian gave her a candy and said 'Good job little girl'. Samson almost threw the woman into the next prefecture while Jo was just offended it wasn't Blueberry.

Like it or not the main problem was not only her fake voice, but her clothes. Let's be real here, she looked twelve in costume and it wasn't only cause of her height. It was also cause there was only so much she could do, it was hair and Jo never took a fabric class so it wasn't like she could weave it into clothes.

That's when inspiration struck,

Armor, everyone loved a super in armor and all the cool vigilantes looked two times bigger with their clothes. So that's why she was lugging actual armor she had bought from a police auction under another name. Those idiots would spend the entire night look Noa Drip.

That was when she met Chrip and had no choice but to interact with basta- a good fella.

"Hey there! Look at you."

[CHIRP ♪♪]

“I think you mean, look at you.” For whatever reason, Peacekeeper was deflecting. He had offered her help with the armor she was lugging around, but she did nothing but point to the fact that he existed. It led him to the conclusion that she was hiding something. So, he pulled out his gun — one that Peacekeeper knew was fake already — and tapped on the armor.

Click.

Stuck in that pose, his eyes glossed over. He scanned through the past 20 minutes in what seemed like moments and returned with only a slightly weird lag between his movements.

Chirp came back laughing.

“Okay, so.” He stifled some laughter. “You want a new suit because people think you’re a kid?” He wiped a fake tear that was impossible to come from the lenses he used as eyes. “Look, I’ll do a solid and help you out. I think hair’s the right choice considering you can control it. You just need an extremely handsome bird to craft you something worthwhile…” Gabe started walking off. “Follow me. I’ll take you to my lab.”

It was just a pitstop. He was operating out the trunk of a car but it’d make due until he could find a real place to settle. And having crafted things on set meant that toughing it out here wouldn’t hinder his ability at all. As long as Peacekeeper could supply the goods.

Let it be known that the armor wasn't heavy. There was a lot yes, but that wasn't anything close to the limit of what Jo could lug around especially when actually trying to lift.

So needless to say, when he figured out her intentions in a matter of seconds AND BEGAN TO LAUGH. Samson almost threw him into the next prefecture while Jo could only be offended. Thank god her face wasn't showing because the blushing was as clear as day.

"I'm only following you because you offering to help. ALSO since you're offering to help we don't have to talk about ya 'recent' activities."

It was all too obvious what she meant there while beginning to follow him to his la-, a trunk. He was working out of the trunk of a car, oh my god.

She may actually kill him.

“Recent activities?” Chirp knows exactly what she’s talking about. Considering he was charged with vigilantism and then escaped, she likely didn’t see him as a real criminal. They were in the same boat, anyway. People think they’re so safe inside that little head of theirs. But one peek and Gabe came out with a goddamn essay’s worth of information.

“You were there. You know you did all the hard work!” That’s not entirely true. There was the other encounter, too, with the bomb. But he didn’t want to talk about that one. It still stung. It was the reason he quit that line of work. “But how about a deal, you keep my secret and I’ll keep yours, JoJo.”

He smiles. She can’t see it but he can’t help himself. Uh-oh, maybe being a real criminal is getting to him.

“I’m gonna need a bunch of hair by the way. If you could just…” Chirp points next to the wheel and expects her to grow it and dump it out. The armor was useless. He carried the appropriate materials to turn her hair into a proper suit with him… but it could be useful as, like, scrap metal or something. It could be the payment… hm.

“Plop it.”

"Haha, hey you ever say that name again, I'm gonna introduce you to the other guy. I am Peacekeeper, friend to all, and... in need of a wardrobe change."

Now JoJo could only blink when he asked for hair like that wasn't as simple as it sounded. Did he want thick hair, thin hair, hair that could stop a bullet? Hair that felt really amazing to touch, hair that felt like a- ya know she was just gonna give um the usual hair she used to punch people and hope for the best.

At first, she thought she'd be creepy about it. Ya know have it slowly peel off her like it was some type of skin or look like it was oozing out of her like some big zit.

Though at the end of three seconds of thinking that sounded stupid. So she went with the next best thing which was just having a huge tendril of all types of hair burst from her back like it was a horror movie.

Only for it to fall off in front of them right where he had asked for it to be, 'plopped'.

“Hey, don’t worry.” His mask winked. “It’s an exchange of information.”

With the hair plopped, he got to work. Taking the strands under a microscope he saw the composition and how to thread them into a proper outfit. Fortunately, they were all long and connected strands, making them easy to weave. But in the meanwhile, as he took the first step, he’d keep focus by keeping his mouth busy.

“I’m a double agent.” He said. “I’m not really under arrest. Well, I am to most heroes, but I’ve got higher-ups at the association using me for my talents. Lookin’ to get some information only I can get… like your name.” The mask winks again. “I am a detective after all.”

The first pattern is done. But he’s not doing this all in one day. He’s making a sample. If the process works, she can come back in three and he’ll have everything up to snuff. It’s only a six-inch patch of material, but he starts dumping all kinds of stuff over it. Real sciencey shit, trust me.

“But like I said. We’re trading secrets. Now you know I won’t spill a word.”

At this point, it’s both tough and flexible. If he were covered in it, it’d be difficult to move in, but she was stronger than he was in every way that mattered — and even the ones that didn’t. And if the test worked out, then he knew that his experiment didn’t nullify her quirks ability.

“Alright, take this and try… doing your hair stuff. Like, change its shape or color or something.”

Jo didn't bother reacting to the wink, let's be real here that bird had been way more annoying in the past. There was no way he was going to speak to anybody about that. If he heard the name, that means he was well aware of all the stories that came along with it.

He was an idiot, but he wasn't stupid which meant he wasn't suicidal.

Peacekeeper could only stare at the fabric that he had made blinking at the newfound patch that he had done up for the vigilante. She acknowledged his request and started to use her quirk as he asked. This was where it got confusing... at least to her. The hair easily meshed with the fabric like they were one. When she wants to sprout stuff here and there, or simultaneously both here and there she could!

Hell even cycling through the colors the fabric followed like it was some technicolor dream.

"...How?"

“Nice!” Chirp was equally ecstatic that his little experiment worked. “It worked!”

With a little pump of the fist, Chirp started going on a bit of a tangent on how the idea worked and manifested. But he was sure to dumb it down in case she didn’t understand the science behind it — it wasn’t a complete fabrication on the author’s side. Nuh-uh, no way!

“Well, your hair is already pretty… different. In a good way! By using that as a base you have full access to your quirk still. I wasn’t sure if it’d work because I didn’t know its limits, but I took a leap of faith. And by having it as a base everything that I added on top of it artificially changed its properties and stays stuck to it on a molecular level, so it’s not damaged when you shift it.” But he was getting ahead of himself. “But I’m getting ahead of myself.”

“It’s gonna take three days to make an entire suit of this stuff. You’ll be able to manipulate it, but you can’t spread its properties to other strands of hair. You can spread the fabric itself but then you’d be taking from a limited pool in one place and having to compensate elsewhere. That whole thing…” He stopped. Talking too much. Nerd shit. Gross! “How about it? Three days? Same spot? New suit?”

Finger guns.

Three days?

What the hell was Jo supposed to do for-

-Three Days Later-

Ya know, of all the adventures and missions that Jo had since she had come to Japan. God those last three days were truly some of the craziest and possibly one of the most memorable she'll likely ever have when it comes to the East. To say those orphans would be in her memory for quite a while would be an understatement. She'd likely remember them and that quaint building in the city of Kumamoto forever.

Even more so since those bigwigs were now behind bars.

Yup, never forget, just like how Jo didn't forget to be back in this spot like how the squirrel requested. Ya know with how busy Jo had been it didn't even feel like that much time had passed. If it wasn't for the airplane tickets and all the other receipts she needed over the past several days, Jo wouldn't have really believed the time had indeed passed.

Meeting up with Squirrelly wasn't all that spectacular, just as he stated earlier here only now with some rings under those glasses. They probably at least covered the red in his eyes so at least he didn't have to worry about people asking questions on the way. Before she could ask a single question, he approached and immediately pulled from behind his back a rather large suitcase.

No words were exchanged and he simply threw the suitcase at her and Jo almost got smacked in the face due to the height difference. She had half a mind to give um a piece of her mind until she realized he must've been tired.

So she waived it off instead of smashing his head into his car. Heading into a nearby alleyway the car was parked near she decided to get changed. Hell, let's be real here this wasn't the first nor the last time she would get changed in such a manner. To Jo, alleyways were like a big walk-in closet.

Opening the luggage she had to stop and blink, wow it was so... white. I mean, let's be real this was like white, white, as if she was wearing marble. After the initial judging, she finally threw the new duds and it was, well perfect. It felt comfy as can be and hopping in place it kept everything 'restrained and compact'. Throwing out a couple of strikes with both her hands and a couple of kicks followed by a super kick... yup it was definitely good to fight within.

Starting to sprout hair every which way she ended up smiling. How effortlessly she had done the action, no longer having to worry about another 'naked incident' like that one time not too long ago with the cube.

The only real problem was the color, being known as the white avenger or the white peacekeeper really wouldn't fix her problems... in fact, they'd only make um worse. She could always keep changing the color but it was gonna get to the point where she forgot-

"I got this," A voice interrupted in her head, vibrating loud giving the woman a sudden migraine.

"It's not needed,"

"Shut up." Their conversation was quick and soon she found the entire suit was vibrating now, some of the white all around began to become tainted changing colors to the sleek ichor black she had grown accustomed to in her life. A second layer like a hood covered her already masked head and the edges of that stayed white... if anything it looked like a mouth.

"Whatever the hell you just did..."

"Wait till they get a load of us now."

Creating enough material was easy enough when the client provided it to you for free. What made the process take three days was the tedious amount of threading to compose the suit. It was always his least favorite part about filming. And the reason he delegated the task when possible. But at least this was a one-time affair and, hopefully, someone to call on when he needed help. It’s not like he could rely on heroes. And could he really trust the other criminals?

When he went to hand over the suitcase, his tired, overworked hands slipped, and he accidentally threw it in her face. Thank god she caught it, or that’d be embarrassing for the both of them. Imagine losing to a sucker punch like that?

She seemed to enjoy the mechanics of the suit, but it took on a life of its own as teeth formed on the hood and began to speak — if this was meant to be an internal discussion, it wasn’t anymore. He heard everything. Then, the rest of the suit followed as it changed to black.

“I mean… I made it white so it’d be easy to change...” Chirp was mildly offended. Did she think he thought that’d be the final look of the suit? Puh-lease. “Anyway, you two look great. Now get out of here with that extra-talking mouth of yours. So weird!”

They glared at him. He gave a sheepish grin. And as they departed, he took a quick photo of them to see what they really thought of the suit.

“Oh…” A single tear. “They love it!”
