Though he seems to be pretty happy most of the times it is mostly because his rouge lifestyle allows him to indulge in his destructive urges. He is hotheaded and known to be hasty when angered which is another point - he is very easy to anger. Kuroda reacts pretty badly to any kind of percieved disrespect or mockery, signs pointing perhaps to an inferiority complex. It's also important to note that even though his very being despises being put under somebody in the hierarchy he does seem to have a 'healthy' relation with his criminal employers, possibly because the jobs and missions he takes usually align with his goals and allow him to further indulge in his destructive urges.

Not much is known about Kuroda's early history. All the information anyone has about him is that he was a teen punk getting affiliated with street gangs and that he was responsible for a number of low level street crimes, all of which included explosions and property damage. Kuroda spent those teen years running with different small time street thugs and gangs making both a living and a name for himself steadily as time went by.
By the time he turned 18 he started to do more serious jobs and committing more serious crimes. His years on the street and violent way of life gave way to constant use of his quirk which naturally strengthened over time and made Kuroda more dangerous as well as more alluring to the various criminal organisations looking to hire. His years on the street also helped him build up connections and essentially level up through the ranks becoming a gun for hire for some of the more relevant players in the criminal underground.
He was known as the bomber guy around those circles, you need something or someone blown up you hire this kid.
His missions mostly consisted of bombing certain rival businesses, or shops of people who refused to pay the racket to the local crime boss. Though he was relatively well known in these underground circles it wasn't until a certain high profile job that he popped up on the hero's and government's radar. Kuroda, now under the moniker of Overkill was recruited in a team of villains that were assigned to intercept a police convoy that was transferring a certain villain to prison. The villain in question was the business partner of the crime boss that hired the crew. The mission went somewhat smooth, with only two villains falling to the police and heroes. Kuroda on the other hand managed to kill two and seriously injure one other hero that accompanied the transfer, with their close range quirks being a bad matchup for Kuroda's long range explosives.

The glider sports two wings that are able to bend and retract when it's not in use, making it more compact. It also posses one large exhaust on the back side of it and two smaller ones just beneath it. The smaller ones are used when trying to travel with as little noise as possible and they do have a limit of the speeds they can reach. The large exhaust is used to activate the full potential of the machine and it's top speed. Kuroda usually uses the small exhaust option for travel and switches to the large exhaust when in combat. The glider also comes with a remote fixed up on a leather bracelet that allows the user to essentially ''call'' the glider to his person if the user is ever separated from the machine.
