When Antoine arrived at Bernie’s Burgers, he was ready to take the day off. He had gotten a text message from Momo and they had scheduled a date. While he was excited to see her again, he wasn’t excited to tell Bernie. Nothing good would come of the fact. He’d take every opportunity to rub it into his lovestruck face. And with her being the target, even if they had only just met, there wasn’t much he could say or do about it. The infection energy, the way she has… arms…? (In a totally not ableist way!) It made him blush even though it should have been physically impossible.

“Hey, Bernie—” When Antoine walked in, he was the second person in the room. “Where is everybody?”

“We’re closed for the day!” Bernie clapped his hands excitedly as he showed off a snazzy new suit, ready for the festivities of the world.

“Uhhh, why?”

“Dreamworld!”

“Oh.” There was recognition in his tone. One that gave Bernie all he needed to figure out what was happening.

“Oh my god.” Bernie gives a big, American smile. That kind of smile a CEO has when they give themselves a raise after slashing employee benefits. “You have a date!”

“How would you know that? Are you actually stalking me?”

“Well, you wouldn’t know about Dreamworld unless you had a date or friends to invite you. And you’re more attractive than you are likable.”

“Ouch?”

“Work on that personality, buddy!” Bernie continued. “Have fun on the date and try not to get anyone pregnant? Hm?”

Antoine slams the door behind him, heading straight for Momo.

Out of everyone involved in the events of the day, both past, present, and future, Zipper drew the short straw for one simple reason—she was Momo’s roommate. So she had to spend all morning listening to Momo gush about not just Antoine and the upcoming date she spent hours getting ready for, but Vox the Fox too. Eventually she would be freed from the clutches of a fledgling crush by virtue of an incoming text. Though perhaps it was karma for Zipper’s own recent ventures into the world of fangirling. Regardless, she was freed the moment Momo replied with one of her own.

Momo had to hustle. She had spent way too long making sure everything was perfect for her literal Dream World date—an effort hindered by the cast she still wore on her left arm. The entire concept of the event was right up Momo’s alley though, so nothing was going to stop her! Which would have been the case even if there hadn’t been rumors about Vox making an appearance. Plus, it was her first date with Antoine! Somehow her excitement defied the laws of physics and made it so that she was the first of the pair to arrive outside the gates.

Waiting wasn’t Momo’s strong suit. Plus, it gave her a chance to second guess her wardrobe. An outfit that of course repped her status as a Vox fan even if she had gone for simple to accommodate her cast. The skirt at first glance seemed to be one of her trademark choices—red with black polka dots. Only, they weren’t polka dots. They were little fox heads with the ears pointed up like the V on Vox’s helmet. She wore a simple white blouse tucked into the skirt with its sleeves rolled up on both sides as the left side needed to be worn above the cast. Most of the blouse’s buttons were left open revealing a Vox shirt worn beneath it. In Momo’s opinion, she had kept her fangirling tame.

She smoothed out her skirt then fidgeted with the bag hanging from her good shoulder while she waited. Then she fussed with how her shirt was tucked in, rearranged the strands of hair forming the fringe that was too short to be tucked into her space buns, and checked her makeup in her phone camera. When she could fidget with her appearance no more, Momo bounced in place with pent up energy that was a mix of nerves, caffeine, and a lot of sugar.

[attr="class","bmsk"] in blackest night... With all that had happened, Dreamworld didn't sound like a bad idea. Jun had done a wonderful job burning herself out, and an event like this was a good way to unwind a little. The last festival she had gone to was a long time ago, and as much as she wanted someone to go with she figured it would be best to go it alone. It was better this way, as if the crowd got too overwhelming she could vanish without worrying anyone she was with. And this was one of those rare occasions she decided to dress cute. Or...well, Jun cute. Which involved a long pair of black shorts, a short grey pleated skirt, and a T-shirt tucked in. She of course wore her hair back as she usually did, but ditched the ball cap this time around. Didn't need it. And like that she was off. Aimoto Momo Ghouligan Ryota Hada

There were plenty of rumours going around about the Madlib Hero himself. A few of them were the following. 1. He has a brother who's enrolled in UAU just as he was. 2. He chews jawbreakers like they're crackers. 3. He was to make an appearance at the newly opened Dream World Park to celebrate the Unity Festival.

Lo and behold, all three of those were true!

But we're focusing on the Unity Festival as that was what's most pertinent.

Ryota was gleaming red as he entered the stage - not literally, there was a magic show going on right now so he was just standing level with the guests - and he struck a pose with each word in his catchphrase. "Glory! Grandeur! Greatness!!!" Confetti was popped around him and the crowd he gathered cheered.

He raised his arms then. "Welcome all to the Unity Festival! I hope you're enjoying yourselves! Consider me as one of the attractions, for I'm here to provide autographs and pictures with yours truly!" More cheers emanated from the crowd and he couldn't help but laugh as he held his arms straight and waved his hands up and down. "For those interested, please make a single file line! I wouldn't want to miss any of you due to overcrowding!"

As he signed the notepad of his first visitor, Ryota couldn't help but think of how amazing an idea this festival was. With the stress of titans having roamed the city, any attempt at soothing the nerves of the populace was a good one in his book. He was glad to be able to take part in that.

Antoine was late. Megumi and Bernie had subjected him to light torture when they learned of his romantic affairs. Once freed from their clutches, he rushed towards Momo when a siren's song led him astray. With an exchange of words, the mermaid's allure compelled his hands to her waist. The rest of their conversation was interrupted by lustful lips and a lapse of logic. It was then he knew what it was that he wanted.

And it wasn't Momo.
