ENKI's reach was growing further and wider by the day and while much of the behind the scenes stuff escaped Retsu there was one thing she was incredibly familiar with. When expanding you were bound to run into trouble. Rival gangs, businesses that lost margins due to your rise, lone agents that were upset about their turf being claimed and more. All were not just possibilities but realities Retsu had dealt with many times over. Unfortunately the most recent target was a bit bigger and more established than the usual and while she didn't doubt that she could take them down eventually every day they held out was another where more and more problems piled up. No, the group calling themselves the Wildfire Warriors -or the quadruple U's for short- had to be dealt with today. Which meant hiring outside help and one hired gun in particular jumped out as suitable for the task. Overkill. Heavy resistance was expected, both qualitative and quantitative, and adding a bit of extra boom to the boom she already had couldn't hurt. Their opposition was well entrenched in the exclusive nightclub they used as their base after all. "So," Retsu began while aiming their thumb at the entrance of the nightclub just around the corner from where they were standing. "Last minute ta wuss out if ya dun' think y'r up for it. Once we're in dere's no turnin' back. If ya 'aven't lost y'r courage, well, do feel free ta start us off whenever y'r ready."Perhaps leaving the first move up to the hired help wasn't the best move but Retsu couldn't help but be curious about what he'd do. Besides. What was the worst that could happen? ------ Tags: kuroda

Payed gigs where something or someone needs to get blown up were a part of the course for Kuroda by now, a Tuesday, especially after his recent successful exploits, freeing a notorious villain from a prison transport convoy and killing of the prominent and promising young hero Marvel . This job was in many ways just like any other, it's danger factor may have been pretty high, scaling the police convoy raid, but nothing the street toughened rising star of the underworld couldn't take. The major difference between this job and the usual crime bosses hiring was that for this job he was hired by a member of some larger villain organization, operating behind a shadowy leader. The pair was staking out the entrance to the nightclub that 4xU's used as their base. Retsu, the girl who hired Kuroda seemed to be of his age, and just by sheer surface looks of her one could ascertain that the girl had a certain kind of street roughness to her similar to Kuroda's own. ''Pffft! Wuss out ? Please...'' the hooded boy scoffed, before a gleeful yet somewhat malicious grin appear on his face ''I live for this kinda stuff.'' Kuroda knew some stuff about the Wildfire Warriors from his days running with the gangs and he was handed a detailed report by Retsu during their meeting, holding all of the information her organisation could find about the group, including a rough estimate of their numbers, list of prominent members and their known and assumed quirks as well as the names of members who are supposed to be absent from the club on this very night. ''Born ready! I'm about to blast this whole club into the next week.'' Kuroda said as he made his way back into the alley the two were staking out the club from. In the darkness of the alley laid a winged machine, primed and ready. Kuroda got onto the glider and took off. Going around the buildings instead of straight to the club from the point of stake out, he quickly reached top speed. The attack was almost instantaneous four orbs, charged with Overkill's quirk and turned into deadly bombs were sent directly at the entrance of the club and detonated, causing a large explosion. But before the first explosion even went of the gliding menace circled the building and struck every possible window that looked into the first lobby of the club. Each one struck with two bombs. The blast went off in succession one after another creating a mad cacophony of chaos. A group of three individuals, bouncers and WW goons by the looks of it dragged themselves out of the smoke where once the main entrance stood only to be met with two orbs, rolling down the street to meet them... -BOOM!!-
As the smoke cleared Kuroda descended with his glider and jumped off of it landing on the main street in front of the entrance to meet Retsu. ' 'That should severely dwindle their numbers.'' He said as he took of his hoodie and reached for two more ceramic orbs from his bag. ''Now if I'm lucky that Matsuda guy will be one of the suckers caught in this blast.'' Overkill thought to himself. 'That Matsuda guy' was Matsuda Yamauchi one of the higher ranking WW goons that Overkill only found out about from Retsu's report on the Wildfire Warriors. He supposedly has some sort of quirk that is able to absorb kinetic or seismic energy, almost a perfect counter to Kuroda's own. He turned to Retsu with a confident grin gesturing at the flaming building ''See... Money well spent.''

"Eh, lots a' wasted moves 's what ah saw," Retsu shrugged. Quirkers were bullshit. With just a few quick uses of his power that barely even seemed to leave him worse for wear he threw out an amount of explosions that'd take her hours of meticulous labor to produce. With an unimpressed look on her face she gestured at the fading smoke cloud still obscuring parts of the entrance. "Pop quiz. 'ow many guns 're we gon' take ta the face the moment they open fire. Ken you see? Cause ah sure fookin' can't on account a' the mess ya left."She wasn't salty about his abilities in the slightest, if anyone asked. Not at all. Putting that thought out of her mind she focused on more practical matters and threw a pair of foam grenades at the entrance. Inspired by the containment grenades she'd seen a vigilante group use they expanded rapidly to clog up the entire opening before hardening just as quickly. With the main route closed off Retsu gestured for Overkill to follow as she went deeper into the alley and took a left to end up next to the building adjacent to the club, one that she knew for a fact was connected to it. A few breaching strips along with muttered grumbling opened up a hole into a massive room in a way that let her pretend this hadn't been Plan A the entire time. "Oy oy, causing this whole mess next door wasn't enough? You had to invade my workshop too, Bakiri?""Dunno what y'r talking about Cyberwolf. Ah 'aven't even done a thing," Retsu replied whilst ignoring the hole she just walked through. "Why, ah've even brought you a friend. Ah know 'ow 'ard it is fer ya ta make any with that ugly fookin' mug a' yours."The multitudes of scars and incisions across his skin glowed blue, mechanical whirling being audible beneath them as Retsu shouted over her shoulder, hoping Overkill was still following. "He's all yours! Try naht ta fook the place up too much. Dere's a tunnel below dis place leadin' ta the club and it'd be a pain if ya collapsed it. Do fook up the security cameras though, ah'll pay extra if ya get 'em all."Not that Retsu was dumb enough to take the tunnel itself while the quadruples had the likes of Matsuda or Yoshimitsu, that fucking mole, around but if anyone was watching the security feeds it'd throw them off nicely. Should Kuroda decide to face Cyberwolf he'd find the big man to have the ability to manifest and withdraw a variety of blades from every inch of his form on demand, albeit he usually only manifested them through already existing scars fortified by his cybernetics to prevent taking injuries due to his own quirk. All the while Retsu would head up the industrial staircase to the smaller workshop on the second floor, fully intending to nab all of Cyberwolf's private projects on the way through. No point leaving it all there after all. ------ Tags: kuroda
