But would she be okay? Freja couldn't imagine what Sumi had been through, what they had done to her. Did they kidnap her when she got out from work? How much force had they used? The pain she felt was hardly from her physical injuries, no, seeing Sumi in pain hurt her much, much more. So much that she could hardly make sense of her emotions anymore. All she knew was that she cared for Sumi, and that her feelings were loud and strong.

She could feel herself ramble a bit as she confessed her feelings, her face burning hot as her heart pounded faster and faster. She had kept going back and forth on whether she should tell Sumi or not, and for a while she thought they would always remain friends. That she would keep her true feelings hidden in an effort to preserve what they already had. And yet, here she was. It didn't dawn on her until after she was done talking that she kind of sprung this on Sumi, so she immediately thought of giving her an out. She caught Sumi when her body slumped, but tried to set her up so that she could reject her softly. ''I-If..'' However, she only spoke moments before Sumi let her own feelings be known. She sat there in stunned silence as she felt Sumi's kiss press against her cheek. It was brief, a single grain of sand's moment in time, but she knew she would never forget it.

''..Yeah! Get some rest. We can rely on each other.'' Words that Sumi had used to reassure her on their flight over. Despite the hardship and the pain she couldn't help but smile a bit as she adjusted herself so that she could embrace and support Sumi better as she got some rest. ''And Sumi... Thank you. For everything.'' Even though they had ran for a while her eyes were trained on their surroundings until Tiamat arrived, her body in fight or flight mode until she knew they were safe. Until she knew they weren't gonna come after Sumi.

At the hospital Freja whined a bit about needing to get a blood test done. Needles still gave her the creeps. Always had. Depending on if Sumi needed a hospital bed Freja would be sitting by her side all the time until she got better. ''I know I've already taken you through a lot... But there's one last place I'd like to go to.'' She reluctantly took Sumi's hand. ''Would you come with me?''

The subtle beeping of machinery caused Sumi confusion at first as she slowly opened her eyes, the fluorescent lights filling her vision as she tried to remembe- She would shoot up, immediately dizzy as she looked around panicked for a moment until her eyes settled on Freja and she breathed a sigh of relief. Being hooked up to an IV and EKG, she couldn't really get up even if she wanted to, but she could speak clearly now. "Hey you. I'm glad you're okay." She blushed slightly once the realization set in that
she had shared a moment. "Sure I'll go anywhere with you." Once they unhooked her and give her the all clear she would rise to her feet and follow Freja wherever she wanted to go.[break][break]

''Likewise.'' She couldn't stand seeing Sumi like this, but the moment she woke up a sense of relief flushed over her. ''I hope it was a good nap.'' She said jokingly, trying to lighten the mood. When Sumi gave her response she blushed a little bit too. ''Then... There's one last place we need to visit.'' One that meant a lot to her, or rather, had meant a lot to Elias and old Freja.

A short bus ride and a little walk later and the girls would find themselves in Kongelundsskoven. In a place like Tokyo it would be hard to fathom how a forest like this could be so close to the middle of the city, but with Copenhagen's seamless blend of urban city life and nature it was almost a given. ''It's close.'' She reassured Sumi, holding her hand as they walked so long as Sumi was comfortable with it. ''Are you okay, by the way? You're not cold or... or in pain or...'' She trailed off. The sound of leaves rustling under their feet and birds singing in the trees was all that surrounded them. ''This is it.'' She said when they came to a small lake deep within the forest, nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

''They used to come here all the time. Elias and Freja, that is.'' She smiled, rubbing the back of her own neck. ''It's my first time seeing it outside of those old memories, but I can see why. It's so peaceful and quiet out here.'' She walked to the edge of the lake and took a deep breath. ''Sumi, can you help me look for some sticks?'' It was an odd request, but it would all make sense as Freja began making two small mounds of dirt by the lakeside. ''All this time, I thought I was Elias, but I realized that's not the case. I'm not Freja either even though I have her name. I'm 'Freja'. Like, a whole new person Freja.'' Her hands were getting dirty, but she didn't mind. This was her one last elegy to her old selves.

''I always thought that it was unfair that Elias was the only one that got a funeral.'' Once the sticks were put into the ground, it was clear to see that they had marked two makeshift graves. ''At first I thought it must be lonely, but then I realized they both live on inside me. In a way, Elias and Freja will always have each other.'' She smiled up at Sumi, before looking back at the graves, giving them a respectful bow. ''Sorry, you two. This is the best I can do. One day I'll make you better graves, but I wanted to pick a scenery I know you used to love.'' She stood there for a moment, her heart feeling heavy as she felt a weight lift from her shoulders. Tears silently fell onto the grass below her as she wept for the unfortunate Helt twins. From now on, she was going to live as herself, live proudly and live a life they could both be proud of. Live a life of her own. She sniffled and looked back up at Sumi, giving a weak smile as she wiped her tears away. ''Thank you for giving me that. Let's go home... Back home to Tokyo?'' She opened her arms, offering Sumi a hug.

"No, I'm fine, Freja." Whatever medicine they gave her in the hospital made her feel as good as new; she would have to ask about the care she received when she was back home. She was so ready to put this whole thing behind her and keep moving forward, especially if she could hold Freja's hand. They'd go together. [break][break]

She would give Freja some time to make the graves and listen silently as she poured her heart out and then would take a step forward and crouch down in front of the graves, pressing her hands together in prayer "I wish I could have met you two and I'm sorry for your loss. But I need to thank you both for protecting Freja for me." She didn't have much on her person in the way of a tribute so she would look around until she found some tiny flowers and planted them on their respective graves. [break][break]

She would happily invite herself to the hug and squeeze Freja tight "Sure, as long as we can come back soon and give these two a proper grave. It's on me."
