his would be the second time Farrin had to play firefighter. Of course, the first time he was working on some UAU goodwill with Kei Hada, there weren't any villains involved. There was negligence involved but no active attack. Not this time. 

Farrin leaped through the air, balled up, and then crashed through the highest window of the small apartment building. A gang war of some kind? Had to be. Two sets of crooks were battling one another throughout the building, whipping spikes, the elements, and all assortments of projectiles at one another. Putting people in harm's way, too. 

"That's 'nuff o' that," Farrin shouted down the hall.

A large, shirtless man with a powerlifter build looked up to face the hero-student. He dislodged his fist from another man's face. Did those muscles have to do with his quirk, or was he just that dedicated to his workout? If it was the latter, Farrin might have been impressed if disgust hadn't occupied his gut. This was sheer recklessness. Scorch marks painted the walls, and the air was pregnant with flame. A frightful cacophony grew across the building as more and more of the innocent civilians realized their entire building had been set ablaze. So much damage done, and these feckers were responsible. 

"Says who, small fry?" the man sneered. 

"Says the lad that's given yuh' one chance ta' surrender. Round up yer' buddies below, opposition too, n' maybe yuh' won't be locked away fer' life." 

He always gave them one chance, but the man charged. They never took it.

Ya know, she had to thank that squirrelly chip character. Regardless of how Jo felt about him as a person he did amazing work. The mark 2.0 was amazing in helping her and not only that the sucker was a lot more flame retardant than hair. Whether that hair was hardened or not hair was still hair and flames and hair did not mix.

So swinging through the air and following the smoke she came upon of course a burning building with not many people running away from it. This likely means that there were still a lot trapped in that place. Now she could go in there trying to find the source of everything, but that wouldn't do much. Best for her to get in there and start working on getting people out higher up.

The first window crash was loud, but another prop of the suit was no longer having to worry about glass in her hair. Ya know how awkward it was trying to explain that when you're in the middle of a class?

Very difficult situation.

Rolling into the building she started to call out around her. Directing people towards her, first things first she had to find the nearest building. Get a bridge going towards the other side or start free diving with everyone.

t's starting to look like Dredd, albeit in a far smaller scale. Shots are fired up and down the stairwell between opposing gangs while innocent bystanders fueled by unbridled fear flee for their lives. Farrin was no novice in a sprint. You had to take it one step at a time. The first step is to take out the big bastards. Sometimes, knocking out the small fries first helped minimize the potential damage output of the opposition, but knocking out the shot callers and the muscle might deter the others in this instance. So, Farrin met the musclehead's charge. 

He burst forward and started by delivering a hard left uppercut into the man's jaw. The muscular beast lumbered upward into the air, then dropped, crashing into the tile floor. Cracks split like a spiderweb from the crater. Damage that might have been regrettable if the building wasn't already burning. 

Another man rounded out from a stairwell, this one armed with a machine gun. Zero hesitation, he aimed for Farrin. "I'll be sure ta' get yuh' out, big fella, but first, yer' friends need a lesson," Farrin muttered, blasting ahead. A relentless rain of bullets soared from the thug's weapon, but Farrin was faster still. He slid underneath the hail of death, then sprung up into another uppercut, launching the gunner into the ceiling. He dropped, too, some light debris and dust trailing him. 

"Hey, small fry. I didn't hear no bell." 

Farrin turned to the sight of the big fella, beat up but, well, up. Still, the stairwell on this level was clear, and with that, a few more civilians were able to run on down, free from the exchange of gunfire. One step at a time.

"Alright, everyone! Gather close, gather close!" The peacekeeper yelled out in that raspy voice while people cautiously approached unsure what in the world he was going to do instead of using the stairs. Now granted, this is what the stairs were for, however considering the ongoing situation below, this was the better option, or at least that's what she was telling herself.

"Okay, so, there's kinda an ongoing situation happening underneath us on top of the fire. So, everyone, you can either thank me after this or report me to the police!" To say that there were some confusing looks after would be an understatement, however considering her feats in the past couple of weeks, nine people would be nothing. The hair sprouting out of the midsection quickly formed massive tentacles on both sides. Wrapping around the civilians around her who started to protest, unfortunately, all protests would have to be cataloged after the flight.

An older civilian was about to yell that was until the sound of gunfire went off beneath them. After that, they clung to the tentacle that had stuck to them. There was no time to give any more warning less a stray bullet catch someone and then she somehow gets blamed for it.

Taking off in a full sprint she headed for the large window and pane she had destroyed earlier ignoring the yells of the civilians being taken for a ride. Heading out the window for a moment, there was silence followed by the wind whipping and screeches being caught in her ear only to disappear into the wind.

There were several seconds of free-falling before she shot a thread that stuck and allowed her to swing all of them. Moving fast another and another came while she headed to the ground. Finally touching down, most of those who were with her immediately became jelly and fell to the ground. Others had some comments for her, however, she couldn't take any words right now. The tentacles fell while she launched herself back into the air to head back into the building.

There were others who needed help and even more emergency situations going on.

arrin ducked and darted forward. His fists fired like a machine gun into the muscle monster's gut, but it was like punching a foot-thick steel wall. Then thunder struck his back. The man dropped his elbows into Farrin, who smashed through the floor and dropped into the hallway below. 

The young time-turner fell, chin first, onto the floor. Pain bounced between his head and his back. Being thrust through the floor hadn't hurt nearly as much as the elbows that put him there. The man hit like a truck. 

Opening his eyes, Farrin was greeted by two thugs kicking a third on the ground. More of this turf war. More items on the agenda. Farrin lifted his wrist, then fired two adhesive rounds. Each smacked into one of the two aggressors in an explosion of blue goop that entangled all three. That would keep them still for a time. 

Lightning strikes again. A star burns supernova in Farrin's spine. The giant dropped right onto his back. No temporal warning this time around. Farrin's teeth grit tight, biting back the need to shout. No Sada to tend his wounds back home now, hardly a home anymore, really. The school nurse would have to due. The very thought of her was enough, though. Set a fire in his heart, the kind of fire that demands you get back up and fight. 

And that's exactly what he did. 

"What? Little bird so quick to give up? Very well, I think it's time we clip your wings," the goon taunted, standing aside and drawing his leg up, ready to drop his foot on Farrin's knee. 

Farrin rolled over and thrust his leg upward. His heel cracked into the giant's knee instead, dropping the man—another shot connected with his jaw, throwing the giant thug back. Then Farrin was up and on his feet. 

"Yuh' talk too much, dryshite."

One stun round. Two. A third. Blasted into the man. Then, an adhesive followed, pinning him in place. There was no muscling one's way out of the stuff, though the fire might dry it out before long. Fortunately, the stun rounds did their job. The man visibly spasmed a few times. Not so consistently Farrin was concerned about heart problems, but enough to see he wouldn't be moving anytime soon, even if the adhesive did dry. Hopefully, that was the worst of the thugs done with.

Heading back into the air, it was clear some type of fight was happening. However, Josie had no idea who was fighting what, and more importantly who were the innocents in this situation. Now she did know that she got everyone off the top floor, which was checked twice while rounding everyone up. Thank goodness this wasn't one of those fit as many rooms as ya can buildings.

Well. regardless she knew where the action was happening and could sit on this wall for so long outside the building for so long before someone noticed. It was time to approach this with care and civility.

Bursting through the window an ichor tentacle from her shoulder ripped the window pane off the crumbling wall and sent it flying forward. It whipped through the air and smacked into someone JoJo could only pray wasn't a civilian while she let out the reason for her partaking in the merriment.

"Alright, you idiots in case you haven't noticed, THIS BUILDING IS GOING DOWN! So I'm giving you all one chance too, Oh hey it's you." The words calmed down and lost their boom when she saw Farrin was on the scene. So was he the one shooting up this place? Nah that couldn't be the case... well at least hopefully not, of all the people to go, villain, she'd 'definitely' have some trouble bringing him into some type of justice.

lowly, the crack of weapons fire slowed. Either one side had lost, or word was spreading like the wildfire they contended with that the big man up here was taken down, and the others were starting to flee. One unlucky gob stormed out of a secondary stairwell further down the hall and aimed his rifle, only for the window to shatter behind him as Peacekeeper entered the scene. 

Farrin's wrists twitched ever so briefly. Instinct nearly drew him to take aim at the newcomer, but the briefest fraction of a second was enough for him to recognize the friend for who she was. "Oh trust me, I know it's comin' down," he clipped before getting serious, "two gangs fightin' out er' somethin'. Haven't gotten ta' all o' em, but I think they're startin' ta' run. Tried to clear one o' the stairwells so civis could escape, took out one a' the bigger guys," he thumbed the muscular beast pinned to the ground behind him, "but I haven't been able ta' help get many outta 'ere. Was about ta' sweep the place. Think yuh' can focus on the last o' the thugs while I run the rest o' the civis out?" 

Farrin's quirk was flexible, and his combat prowess unquestionable, but Peacekeeper was equipped with similar capabilities in some sense. She could bounce about the building and take out the rest of the troublemakers while Farrin used his speed to quickly snatch up the remaining civilians on each level and run them outside. Since there were likely more civilians trying to get out than there were thugs, it would work to their advantage if Farrin allocated his speed there while Peacekeeper leveraged her quirk against any remaining threats.

Jo sighed and cracked her neck while the tongue started to flick left and right, staying close to her body so it didn't get singed in the ever-growing fire.

"Got it, just come back to pick up the knocked out fella's otherwise you going to have one doozy of an article written against ya." The peacekeeper spoke while a door opened near them and a guy came out holding a gun. Unforunately this one was a sap, as much as the next one, and a thick strand of ichor shot from her show and covered the guy's face whilst the peacekeeper slammed his face into the wall and he fell over.

"By the way don't worry about the tippy top floor, got everyone up there focus everywhere else." They had spoken and soon turned around and jumped out off the destroyed window pane. Soon enough, a large tentacle stretched out and stuck to the window, only to send her rocketing back in on another level. Smashing through the window and destroying the pane in the process she could only thank god this building was going down. Though she flung herself into a room that was already on fire.

Thankfully no one was inside the room which was a blessing. The last thing she needed to see was another person burning away to nothing. Not something you wanna think about before going to sleep. Jumping up and kicking the door open it came flying open and she found herself in a room with two fellas holding guns. Tentacles flew off her shoulder and collided with their heads, only for to ricochet against the wall and slumped over. Picking them up and throwing them out of the room she was delighted to see that more had heard and had come charging.

Good, get this done quickly and distract these folks whilst Windy gets out the Civi's.

eacekeeper's presence would make the whole operation significantly easier. She was his usual partner in crime justice at this point. Farrin's quirk meant he responded to trouble faster than most other heroes, even the pros, could, and Peacekeeper's quirk saw her swinging her way through the city and voiding obstacles that others had to go around. In effect, she was also very quick to respond. Usually, the two had things wrapped up before the police, or other heroes that might give her shit for her actions, could arrive. Technically, he wasn't supposed to be working with vigilante, but she had long ago earned his trust. 

So, Farrin nodded when she gave him the heads up about the top floor, then sped off. The time-turner beamed through the building. The occasional goon still required a hard fist to the face, but most seemed to have vacated or were otherwise dealt with, courtesy of the Keeper. Meanwhile, Farrin removed the bullets straight out of the crossfire from the few remaining goons he encountered and ran the civilians out of the building. 

One level after another, he cleared the building, leaving only the goons. They weren't offered the courtesy of being run out of the building. Instead, Farrin lobbed most of them out of the windows and ensnared them in temporal deceleration fields. When all was said and done, he darted outside and snatched them out of the air before they could crash, then fired an adhesive at each goon, planting them on the concrete below. They would need to dry the adhesive eventually, but it was a sure way to keep them secure until the police arrived. Before long, he and Peacekeeper had the building cleared.

The peacekeeper moving through the levels on the outside looked like someone making a stunt video. One second ya saw her spinning on the outside smashing through another window pane, only a minute later to see her flying out and into another on the other level going down. On occasion, one would see a grunt fly out a broken window only for Ichor to be shot at um, sticking them to the building on the opposite side while she kept on going trying to finish her side of the job.

On occasion, the peacekeeper saw Farrin moving, now granted she didn't quote on quote see him. More or less she knew he was in the area, whether it was watching a civilian one second be there and the next second gone. A goon who got the jump on her was followed by them slumped over and not another word came out of them.

These moments made her worry about the day if Windy ever finds out, or having to fight um. Josie or Peacekeeper had not found the chink in his armor yet, if they fought odds are unless he made a mistake, she was going to lose. That loss would be bad and likely lead to her waking up in high-level security transportation.

Landing on the ground Jo started reeling down some of the grunts she had left on nearby buildings getting them ready for the cops. For now, she didn't have to worry, Josie had her straight best friend, and Peacekeeper had a partner in justice...
