Mark shrugged. "Casings also pull double duty, absorbing some of the heat once the bullet is fired. Gun barrels are tempered to last, but excess heat is bad. Can calls all the rifling to burn up, could turn the barrel all nice and brittle over time, and those are just a few things. Getting them out soon as possible is important for the life of a firearm."
