Its tomorrow

She can't believe it that her only daughter is growing up so fast and tomorrow she is going to be a university student. A melancholic feeling surge through her mind but once she saw the clock; that said feeling vanish quickly. "Hiichan! Is everything packed up? We will be moving tomorrow at the morning so you can't wait it out till the last minute!" Fuyuko shouts to Hiyori while she was cooking something for dinner. Before she starts cooking, she asks Hiyori to pack up some things and now she is finishing up her cooking so she is expecting for it to be done now.

"You need to be finished when I come in, you hear me kiddo!?" Fuyuko shouts once again after turning down the fire for a bit just to call out for Hiyori.

"Answer me"

Hiyori was laid out on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, something she'd not be able to do again for, well, forever. It had been her home, her sanctuary, her place of peace. She'd never known anywhere else, she'd always relied upon it to get away from the world, and now she'd be moving out into some other place where nothing would be the same.

She sighed and rolled off the side of the bed.

It hadn't taken much to get packed. Everything she needed had been securely stuffed into a single hard-shelled luggage and set off to the side. Just clothes, really. There wasn't much else. A few little trinkets and memory pieces to pack away and take with her, but aside from that her room was filled with things she had created and there was no sense taking them with her. They were older, dated, and it'd be easy enough to replace them once she moved into her dorm.

Hiyori looked up from the floor when her mother started screeching and drug her luggage towards the door and out of her room.

She made her way towards the kitchen, stocking-clad feet making little noise in comparison to the rolly luggage case. Whether or not Fuyuko would hear that before Hiyori popped into the kitchen was an uncertainty.

"You can stop your sqwuaking," Hiyori chided. "I already packed."

She set the luggage near the home's entrance for later and then wandered back over to see what her mom was cooking. Aside from in the morning, it may be a while before she had a chance to eat her mother's cooking. She worried about the food at school. Would it be any good? Would it be as good as she was used to? Probably not.

"You can have a little faith in me, mom."

Fuyuko completely ignored Hiyori's plead about putting faith on her. Fuyuko portioned her cooking for two person and put it on the dining table as she gesture for hiyori to take a seat. "Are you sure that there is nothing missing? Like shirts or pants? You need jackets for winter too. Don't forget that. While on UA I can play favoritism and I will be spending time more on UA. So you can't just go back here nilly willy" Fuyuko starts her tirade with a some short pause for her to take a bite to her food and swallow it.

"Pack some gifts too for your roommate later too. Do you already have a plan on what to give for your roommate? Don't pick anything too expensive, it is heavy" Fuyuko take a pause for a moment. There is no sign of her stopping anytime soon if there is no interference from Hiyori

Hiyori looked down at her luggage again and then started fiddling with her phone while her mother ran through her checklist. Eventually, she just ended up rolling her eyes.

"Have you ever seen me wear pants?" To emphasize, she used her free hand to lift the back of the sweater she wore and showed a blue-and-white striped backside. "I maybe own like... one pair, unless you consider leggings pants."

She deposited the phone into her pocket and meandered towards the table. "But yeah, I packed pretty much everything. No sense leaving much more than maybe a single change behind, right?"

Hiyori pulled one of the chairs out and then hopped up and took a seat. She then folded her legs up so she tucked her feet in under her sweater like a mother hen sitting on her eggs. "Why would I get them something? I am a gift."

She began to lazily pick at her food, clearly in no rush to eat it all. "What about you? Are you ready?"

"Don't be smarty pants, Hiyori. No child of mine walking everywhere without any pants especially on the dorm" Fuyuko said with the intensity that she used to exudes whenever facing villains in the past; while she has not been a very active as a hero for a while now, she hasn't lost any of her edges yet. "While the dorm is homely enough but it IS NOT your home. Many people roams around and you will only embarrass yourself if you still act like a baby. After you finish your food, get back to your room and pack more pants." Fuyuko dictates while her eyes sharply glares at Hiyori waiting for the answer as she is halting every movement of her.

"Look, I don't expect you to wear jeans or anything. Hot pants is okay too. I don't care if it is for the sake of your quirk; I have proposed to you many times about the alteration of the clothing but you never want to do it." Fuyuko rubs the bridge of her nose feeling frustrated.

Hiyori snickered at the mention of being a smarty pants. "It's not like I'm wandering around showing off my underwear all the time or anything."

She picked at her food for a moment and eyed Fuyuko warily. "I packed my skirts, my leggings, and my *hot pants* - or at least what shorts I have, so I have everything I'll need. You'll just have to be content with that."

Hiyori could alter her clothes, or at least have someone else alter them. But, she had no reason to do so at that point. She always operated on her own, and generally in the privacy of her own room. However, her mother was right in at least one way, she might need to deal with it at school. Instead of just whipping her shirt off and sitting around in whatever she wore underneath, she might need something specialized, but there weren't a lot of options for someone like her.
[break][break]"I was considering maybe just wearing like, some sort of one-piece undergarment. Something that secures behind my neck and then around my hips and stuff, that way my back is unimpeded. Sort of like a swimsuit. It'd be easy to wear it under whatever else, like my uniform or casual clothes."

She then eyed her mother critically. "Considering I didn't inherit your boobs, I don't necessarily need to worry about wearing a bra, so it should be fine, even if it doesn't provide support."

Hiyori sighed. It was the only positive aspect of that particular difference between them.

Fuyuko grimaced a bit upon hearing her plan on wearing a swimsuit but after attempting to give her a moment to fully explain her idea for now. "That sounds better than you stripping on your own like uncivilized human." Fuyuko claims as she finished her meal and take the dirty dishes with her to the sink. "Any plans on the future? Like what you want to do and what you want to gain? Perhaps, I can assist you a bit with networking and stuff if you need it" Fuyuko asks want to dote her daughter. What she didn't say is that even if she going to introduce someone to her if it is needed, she won't talk about it first to that person and pushed Hiyori to meet them instead. "While you are thinking, try to think if there is something that you are forgetting" Fuyuko warns her once again.

Hiyori peered at her mother as her expression changed. It wasn't like she had a lot of options. Her entire back needed to be exposed for her quirk to work at its fullest, and there weren't a lot of clothing options compatible with that.

However, something else about Fuyuko's comment caught her notice, and she started sassing right away. "So, you'd be okay if I wasn't stripping on my own, or had some help? That'd make it more civilized, right?"

After twisting her mother's words against her, Hiyori snickered and grinned like a goblin.

She had to think, though. Fuyuko brought up a good question, and for most others her age, it'd have likely prompted some serious discussion, but Hiyori didn't have much to say on the topic.

"I don't know yet," she admitted. "But, I've also decided I'm not going to worry too much until I actually get to school. Once I'm there, I should be able to see what avenues are available."

Hiyori's ability to assimilate information off the internet in record time meant that classroom learning and book-based studies were wasted on her. She could do that in an instant on her own time, so she needed more practical, hands-on teaching that she can't just download. However, she'd need to figure out what options she had, and that might take time.
