[Fuyuko]

Being a single mother is hard. Riddled with many anxiety and hardship where more often she needs to be strong for the sake of being strong. Many sacrifice were made to adjust her life but there are few things that she doesn't want to cut off no matter how hard it is and that is her past relationship that she had made growing up. Fuyuko is resting her back to the nearest wall right outside the bar; many passerby walks past her and some of them even dare to steal a glance but she just let it go as she already numb of that. Fuyuko is waiting for Skald to come to have a night out with her, someone who she befriend with in the past as Skald was working at the police department that her father used to work at. It has been a long time since she go out with Skald, she has many things to talk about.

Suddenly, two playboy looking man is approaching Fuyuko despite her body language clearly tells that she doesn't want to be approached. "Hello pretty lady. Do you need some friend" The sleazy man talks with a sickening wink. "Get off. I do not need you or your friend. I am waiting for my friend to come" Fuyuko stand strong to the ground and ready to walk away. But the sleazy man's friend quickly grab her wrist "Your fri-" before he can finish his sentence, he suddenly found his own vision flipped 180 and his whole body ground falls to the ground. "An unsolicited physical touch, what I just did is a self-defense" Fuyuko says calmly. There is a hint of hesitation for the guy but Fuyuko knows the best that he would escalate it, if Skald didn't come soon - things will get ugly.

While skald wasn’t a single mother or had to really deal with raising kids of her own she did have many siblings which felt very similar to the struggles of one of her friends that she made on the force. A somewhat older woman about the same age difference as her and her youngest sibling. She still recalled the first day she met Fuyuko and couldn’t help but chuckle as she continued down the street. It wasn’t hard getting to where she needed to go, there wasn’t much in the way restricting her from running as fast as she wanted as long as she kept to the same speed laws as the vehicles right?

The kitsune skidded to a stop right outside of the bar that she and fuyuko had discussed meeting at. She hadn’t been to it before given that she didn’t drink all too much. Maybe it was because of her electricity or the fact a speedster would just work it out of her system but… She’d pop open the door to the bar; her orange vest, white offcolor t-shirt and cargo pants painting a much different picture of her than when she was on the force or doing her hero work.

The red tinted round glasses she wore found themselves in her pockets and she’d look around in the bar for a moment.. Until she saw Fuyuko. Who was standing by two men; one of which was on the ground and the other looked somewhat out of sorts.

”Hey there! Took me a minute to find this place, thought you said second not 31st!”

The two streets were clearly on the other side of town and the kitsune stepped lightly over, eyeing the two men, one after the other before cocking her head to one side. Skald was definitely much taller up close and her muscle definiation would put some work-out-a-holics to shame if you cared to look under the fluff.

”They giving you trouble?”

They starts to change expression upon the appearance of Skald and quickly runs off without turning back their attention to them. Fuyuko can only sigh, "Can't say trouble is the right word. Moreso, an annoyance" Fuyuko let out a comment before shaking her head, "Well forget about them. Nice to see you again, Skald. It has been awhile since we meet together, lets go in" Fuyuko enter the bar and quickly goes to the reserved place solely for both for them. "Last time we met like... what?" Fuyuko tries to remember it. The past few years was a hectic moment for her. Raising Hiyori alone, doing her job, and everything. She barely even able to go out for her own until now. Last time she was going out was... "Oh damn, it was around seven years ago on the office. How was it there now?" Fuyuko asks curiously not knowing that Skald is already not a police anymore.

Skald watched the pair leave rather quickly upon her arrival, her eyebrows raising slightly and gave a shrug at the fact. She was glad to see her friend after all this time and was happily grinning ear to ear.

”well annoyance aside, it is very good to see you! Yeah it’s been a while hasn’t it?”

Skald padded after her friend and finding that they had their own place reserved the kitsune would get comfortable. Flicking her ears and looking over the menu. When was the last time the two of them had met? Like really?

”...Mm… Good question.”

Skald pondered; it had to have been when she was still a police officer right? THe heroes brows scrunched and she’d think about it. But then with the other bringing up yes it was indeed back when she was an officer. At least seven years. Before her injury? The kitsune adjusted slightly, feeling the scar across her chest itch and she’d lean forward slightly.

”Oh, well erm. I’m not there anymore.”

There was a long pause and then she’d let out a small cough, sitting up straight and adjusting again. How do you explain to someone that you went from being a regular cop to basically a super cop?

”Last I remember it was pretty good, but now I’m doing hero work under the moniker of Maelstrom. Somewhat successful. I more or less had to retire from the force after getting injured. How about you?”

Skald didn’t want to push the fact that she and the police chief fought all the time about her insistence on rehabilitation and being easier on the villains. She had a very sympathetic heart…

Fuyuko made a pause for a moment and finally decide to not pursue on how the injury happened since that has been a long time now to her current understanding. "I see, that is a quite surprising news. The small Skald has made a new chapter on her life and I wasn't there for it" Fuyuko let out a jest as their order arrived at she take a sip on her cold beer. "I would like to think that I didn't change that much. My adorable daughter is now entering U.A and I also have been get back to my old job since I take my pregnancy left in the past." Fuyuko retell her story and slams the glass to the table with enough force to not make it break. "I am worried about Hiyori, what if she can't mingle with her peer. She can be quite a recluse but she is a sweet girl" Fuyuko start to let out her worries.

”Oh trust me it was a lot of flailing around and trying to get paperwork done…”

Skald chuckled a little bit, raising her glass before taking a sip. She was more into the fruity drinks so hers was definitely along the lines of some kind of wine. Which kind? Blackberry of course! Though hers had lower content due to her having to walk home later she figured.

”I didn’t realize that she was going to be a hero! That must be exciting for her…”

Skald’s brows shot up a bit as the other shared their concerns with her; taking another sip of her drink she’d consider what to say briefly before nodding her head. Honestly it wasn’t a surprise. The entire time she knew Fuyuko there were things she worried about, from one thing to the next! Though that could be said of skald, given her siblings…

”I think she’ll be okay, uni can be rough for some but I feel once she finds her groove she’ll be okay!”

Skald grinned and nudged her friend.

”Remember how closed off I was when I started out as an officer? She’ll be fiiiiiiiiiiine!”
