On a certain island in the waters surrounding Japan, all hell has broken loose.

It all started with the creeping shadows. Like a slow moving tidal wave they washed into the small town by the seaside. Thicker than blood, the shadows had no scent, yet if you leaned in closely you could hear them whisper. All the denizens of the town looked on in confusion. Only one girl, a traveler from the mainland was trying to outrun the shadows covering every surface of the town, consuming every detail and hue in its wake. ''I messed up! I can't do this! I'm sorry I messed up! Hati has lost his mind, he's lost his damn mind!'' Megumi cried, the young hacker finding herself surrounded by the shadows before she could leave the town, covered in blackness ankle deep. ''Please, please... Come on...'' She took out her phone with shaky hands. She had to resort to her plan B after all. Sending an emergency signal out to the phones of three nearby individuals, Olivia, Tsukiko and Ryota, the message with coordinates attached simply read.

''WE'RE GONE. PLEASE SAVE US.''

Moments later the sky was covered in dark shadows, blanketing half the island and blocking all sunlight. Megumi and everyone who had ever lived in the town by the seaside, every living creature within the town's borders was swallowed whole by the shadows and sucked into the ground.

By the time the three unfortunate individuals arrived to the town where Megumi had sent her signal, what they would find was... Surprisingly ordinary. Just a regular town. No visible damage, no wear and tear on the buildings. In fact, everything was in pristine condition, this town was lived in. Except there was no one around. A bicycle had fallen over in the road, a doghouse with a leash, but no dog, an outdoor picnic table set for a lunch, but no people to enjoy it. In the blink of an eye it was as if the entire population had vanished.

Heavy footsteps approached the three individuals in the middle of their investigation, a 9 foot tall, horned monkey mutant covered in animated and thick shadows that licked at his body turned the corner to face them. ''You... State your business.'' He demanded. Anyone who was vaguely familiar with the criminal history of Japan in the last 15 years would have at least heard of Hati, the mutated man who was said to swallow villains whole, spitting them up at police stations before escaping into the night. He was also particularly prideful, taking his honor very seriously. ''You should have gone with the rest of them.'' No, judging from their clothes they weren't from here. ''Outsiders?'' His eyes were distant, as if something or someone was controlling him. ''You'll only get in the way of our plan!'' Shadows burst out of his body, covering his large arm as he turned it into a whip and swung it at the three of them, trying to take them all down with one fast attack.

- Hacker Megumi is trying to escape from Hati, but fails
- Sends a distress signal and message to Ryota, Tsukiko and Olivia
- Upon arriving at the seaside town every resident of the town is gone, including Megumi

[attr="class","pinscroll"]Olivia was not familiar with the criminal history of Japan and frankly she didn't care. She came here to escape authorities and do whatever she pleased, no matter the opposition. The only two things she cared about was treasure and her own life so when the opportunity to plunder some islands outside of Tokyo she wasn't about to turn it down even if it meant working with someone she didn't know nor care about. Her ideal partner was Amber, but she had an exam the next day. It was a shame but she'd make do with her own arsenal instead of that Arsenal. [break][break]

Being face to face with Hati her initial reaction was to roll her eyes. "Of course. Why wouldn't a treasure hunt turn into a monster hunt." If she had it her way she'd just avoid this guy entirely and go about her looting but it was clear that he wasn't going to let that fly. The shadow whip would come for them as Olivia would engage her slime escape tool and rocket backwards out of the range of the whip only to see the protective gel by torn in two by Hati's impressive strength. From there it was a matter of finding a vantage point which was a small home that she would use her shoes to scale the wall and observe. Let the superpowered people duke it out and strike when she has an opening. That was the plan.[break][break]

Treasure hunting. That... was the goal. She just wished that she had managed to bring Arsenal along with her instead of just Olivia; although, somehow Tsukiko felt that may have been a blessing now, rather than a curse. Her nephew, Ryota was there, and she certainly did not bring a very identity-hiding disguise with her. Instead, she wore a white button-up shirt with black buttons with a short-cut jacket held closed by a thin strap, and a long, high-waisted black skirt fastened with a belt donning a prominent gold buckle. Black gloves and knee-high boots completed her look and a pair of sunglasses kept the sun out of her eyes.

Refusing Ryota's early pleas to simply go home, she claimed she had traveled there in the hopes of gleaning some information from the area as well as bringing back something worth value to Orion; she specifically used his last name so as to not give Olivia any more information than she had already gleaned. Unluckily for the two, more information about her was about to be leaked by the sheer surprise of who they would encounter there.

Heavy footsteps betrayed that they had a new visitor, but his voice was extremely familiar. "H-Hati!?" She'd whip around instantly, staring at the monstrous man; he looked different than she had originally remembered. It was as if he didn't recognize her at all! A massive black whip swung out at the three of them, prompting Tsukiko to act quickly; something Olivia seemed to have already done. No, she couldn't waste attention on Olivia at this time; just get out of the way!

With one leg rapidly sliding to the side, the other knee-bending Tsukiko nearly flattened her form against the ground. The sickening sound of metal scraping on metal could be heard as she unsheathed the previously shown to be empty scabbard revealing a dark gray blade; as it was drawn, a few specks of dust seemed to scatter around the edge of the sheath as if the sword was building itself while being drawn. With one quick fluid motion, Tsukiko had ducked underneath the whip and prevented any changes downward in its trajectory with a swift deflect. Unfortunately, that may have made things harder for Ryota if he decided to jump over the whip. Sorry, dear, I didn't mean to deflect it into you!

Using the force from the deflect, she too ducked further from Hati before shouting to him. "Hati!" Her voice was cold and harsh, almost changed. It was a tone that Olivia would recognize from any past meetings or even from the boat, but Ryota only knew it as... 'the angry voice.'

TL;DR Satsu had bribed Yingshe to join her in an attempt to get Arsenal to go exploring for treasure, came across Ryota, and got attacked by her ex-boyfriend from over a decade ago, Hati. To dodge the whip, Tsukiko ducked underneath, deflecting with a katana made from her quirk and then created more distance between herself and Hati while asking if he remembers her.

Well this got complicated.

The day started off normal enough. Ryota and Stellar were pulled from their patrol routes to instead investigate the islands off the coast of Japan, due to the nationwide announcement that a wealth of research and treasures resided there. It screamed trap to him but it was too late; interests had been piqued, so the least he could do now was ensure the safety of the explorers who decided to go.

So began their own boat journey with Ryota in his full armour. Yaoyao accompanied them as well on his request; she needed credits for her hero course so he was all too happy to offer his aid by letting her tag along. It had been smooth sailing so far- fingers crossed that it was going to be a quiet day and his sister-in-law brother's partner wouldn't need to see a fight so closely after everything she'd gone through.

But then he got the text. He seemed to be the only one in their group to have received it. Deeming it too dangerous for Yaoyao to join, Ryota had her stay on the ship with Stellar while he took the jet ski and set out on his own towards the message's coordinates.

When he arrived, shadows blotted out the sun. The place was unnaturally dark and empty despite the number of houses in it. It was a ghost town, save for a couple civilians who were drawn to the location in the same way he was.

Complication one: one of them was his aunt.

Arguments ensued. The town wasn't safe to be in so he wanted her to evacuate, while she refused to do so due to needing to bring something back for her superior. They only ceased when a large man approached the three, with Ryota instantly on high alert due to the shadows emanating from his body. Were they the same ones that darkened the place? Was he responsible for the whole thing?

Such questions couldn't be answered in the moment due to complication two: the large man was on the attack.

He was glad the other civilian got away, but it meant he and Tsukiko remained. Luckily had the same idea as his aunt and ducked under the whip, his flexibility easily carrying him through the motion. He stared and pointed at her sword once he stood again. "I thought you said that was a prop! And you know this man?" Ryota only recognized him from the rumours, but from her question it was as if they've met personally before.

Regardless of her answer, the hero turned to Hati. "If your plan resulted in this town's current state, I'm afraid it has to be stopped." Ryota raised his hands and took a fighting stance, palms open. "Surrender now or I will have to make you do so!"

Hmph.

That first woman was unusually prepared dodging around his whip like that, and having the tools to scale a house so quickly as well? These three were definitely suspicious, and probably not present in the town when he swallowed up the entire population. To make matters worse, Tsukiko also wasn't done in by his simple attack, and she even recognized him. Could she be some kind of assassin he had clashed with in the past, come back to finish the job? No... That voice... He looked at her again, his eyes softening for just a moment as he spoke a name he hadn't in years. ''...Ashtray?'' Nostalgia and confusion permeated his tone, but just as quickly as he seemed to regain part of himself, whatever it was that was compelling him to do all this took hold again. ''No!'' He pointed a shaky hand at Ryota. ''You're... You're Vox. You're a hero! Our plan must be carried through to completion, I am only a small piece in this grand scheme.'' He looked back at Tsukiko as if she had betrayed him. ''You would rather side with their kind, despite the impending disaster that is headed for Japan?!'' He was outnumbered, but he wasn't going to back down and surrender.

He had been underestimating his opponents, that much was clear. ''I'll reunite you with the rest of them.'' He coated his right arm in shadows before sticking it into the ground. ''I have wasted enough time talking to all of you.'' Shadows began coating the ground around him, creeping after the trio. A wave of blackness, ankle deep which started sucking everything down like quicksand, threatening to pull them into the abyss if they didn't get away fast enough or find a way to mitigate it. Even Olivia would find that the house she was perched on couldn't stop the shadows, as they crawled their ways up its walls to cover it fully.

Shifting her stance to one of aggression, she locked eyes with the giant ape, but softened her stance with widened eyes as he said her old vigilante name. "Yeah, big guy, it's me." She softly returned his attention with her voice. 'Yes, Hati. Lower your guard. Let. Me. Kill. You.' Her voice echoed in her mind as her smile grew wider and wider; raising her blade upward she hid her face with a false defensive stance, the sword formed to its full length of a long odachi: 152 centimeters, or 60 inches. It didn't stay around for that long, however, as Hati's soft eyes turned to spite as he immediately glanced to Vox.

"Tch. Shit." Tsukiko cursed under her breath, her smile vanishing as she seemed to have some kind of understanding as to what was about to happen. Grabbing the blade of her weapon in one hand, she pulled the sheath away, placing it back onto the scabbard before dropping it to the ground. She knew that look, Hati was going to fight Vox full force. Or was he? No, something was wrong; he blamed her for siding with the heroes! Calling the ashes to her hand, it began to form a long chain and sprinted over to Ryota as Hati shouted his attack phrase.

A cloud of ashes lingered where she had been, a long chain linking the air to herself as she slammed into Ryota full force, knocking him back from the shadows in the ground. She knew it was a risky gambit to do, but Ryota was needed up here. If she simply let her nephew get swallowed up by Hati then... Her gaze shot up to Yingshe who had reached high ground. Certainly, she would urge them to abandon him, but I am not so easily left behind; Yingshe needed her for the boat to get back. Just as she had shoved Vox out of the way, she tried to follow up after him, to grab him and throw him further but the shadows had already caught her leg.

"VOX! RUN!"

As if she had a contingency for just this situation, she grabbed the chain with both arms, pulled, whipped, spun, and swung it at a nearby streetlight; as the chain traveled, it's end finally arrived in the shape of a sickle; wrapping around the post, the blade of the kusari-gama interlocked with the chain, and she pulled tightly. Tsukiko already knew once Hati's quirk touched you, there was little you could do to get out of it, but at least she hoped she could slow it down this way as it did it's best to cover her.

She was fighting hard, but she knew Hati wouldn't kill her, not with their history.

TL;DR Tsukiko answered Ryota's questions, tried to lull Hati but fails, knows the attack is coming the moment Hati sees Vox, immediately shifts to try to stop whatever Hati had planned but didn't realize he was going for a huge area of effect attack and lost the gambit. To escape, she turned her odachi into a thin-chained kusari-gama and hooked it around a street light to try to slow down her inevitable capture.

"You dated him?!" Ryota knew she had a few partners - less than the actual number of course, what with him being too young to be involved in conversations about her relationships - but talk about a small world. "I would love an explanation on this when we're done here!"

He blinked as the man uttered his hero name, turning to him. "And you recognize me?" A silly question all things considered. He'd been on the scene for a few years and made no attempt at hiding his exploits; his armour alone was enough to turn heads. Hati though, he'd been around long before he made his debut. He was almost flattered by the acknowledgement.

But that shouldn't matter right now. Ryota shook his head. "Hold on- what grand scheme are you talking about? What impending disaster?" It couldn't be worse than what was currently happening could it? But he thought back to the environmental crises. The time when the majority of the city fell to a sudden sleep. He didn't want to imagine what could be worse than that.

He took a breath. "Hati. If you stop what you're doing, I can take you to my agency. You could explain what it is you and the others are preparing for. If a disaster is coming, we want to help prevent it." Protecting the people was always the goal. He didn't take issue with those who simply wanted to do the same.

But the offer didn't work. The hulking man was readying himself for something, but before Ryota could react, he was pushed away. He stumbled back but caught himself before he fell. "Oba-san? What are you-" His eyes widened at the shadows spreading. "Alright then, running!"

His aunt seemed strangely skilled with her makeshift chain, something he was thankful for as she readied herself to move to higher ground but he would definitely ask later. For now he made his way to the house the other party perched herself on, climbing up the wall to meet her on the roof. "Greetings! This house is growing unstable but I can buy us some time. Make use of it the best way you see fit!"

With that as his only warning, Ryota slammed his hands down on the tile. "[LARGE]!" The house would grow then, providing more space between the two and the shadows climbing upward.

OOC: Ryota's confused on what disaster may strike Japan and makes an offer to let Hati explain to his agency. When that fails, he's surprised by Tsukiko's push but follows her order to get away from the shadows, climbing up Olivia's house and making it large to buy them time for their next move.

[attr="class","pinscroll"]Nothing Ryota or Tsukiko were doing or saying were particular interesting until Ryota called Tsukiko 'Oba-san'. Her japanese wasn't flawless but Oba-san implied a familiar connection. Something she would make a mental note of but didn't matter at the moment. Right now it was about survival.[break][break]

From her perch, she would observe the battlefield and see what Hati was up to. This wasn't just for her own safety as she wanted to see if he had anything to be wary of at a range. So far, he had swung at them by closing the gap, and as long as he couldn't do anything like...like he was doing right now. She would sigh, thinking about how it was never easy. As she prepared to act, Ryota was a little quicker. She didn't appreciate the familiarity, and when he approached, she would hold out her blade to make sure the distance between them didn't shrink any further. "No closer. Focus on yourself, and I'll focus on me."[break][break]

Pulling out the thin tube from her back, she would hit a button, causing the device to extend into a large staff, and with another click, it would activate, the blades spinning fast enough to carry her up and above the roof. Hovering above the inky darkness that threatened to swallow them all she would activate her gear 'Gagan' firing off a few needles from her mouth at Hati. Hopefully, his size would make him an easy target, and his skin wasn't too tough to have the poison rendered ineffective.[break][break]


tl;dr Olivia uses a 'flying device' [equipment in approval] to lift off of the roof, when she was in position she would use her 'Gagan' to shoot needles at Hati. If they hit, they would apply an awareness debuff.

Good. They were all weak. Especially Ashtray.

Any words that his ex would use to try and reach him fell on deaf ears. Something was controlling Hati, something was compelling him to go completely against his code of honor and deliberately target civilians. ''You are Vox, are you not? You're not exactly hard to identify, you wear armor with giant Vs on it.'' He said matter-of-factly. Hati refused to answer any further questions, whether it was about the plan the Ragnarockers were putting into motion, or why they were doing it. The world was better off not knowing. Killing people without telling them what was coming was his one act of mercy throughout this entire operation. At least they got to die with peace of mind. ''You and your heroes are not ready, and I will show you why.''

Starting by ripping his family away from him, one person at a time.

While Vox managed to escape, Ashtray wasn't as lucky. The shadows pulled her in with an intense, roaring force. Her attempt to stay on the surface was valiant, and it did buy her some time, but ultimately, she was swallowed alive with the rest of the civilians and Megumi. Gone in the blink of an eye.

Seeing Vox make the house larger Hati let out a grunt, grinning like a madman. ''So the rumors about your power is true.'' He muttered to himself. Now that Ashtray was gone his victory was assured. All he had to do was get rid of Vox and that third variable who was with him on top of the house.

When Olivia took to the skies he frowned. ''You think gadgets will save you? What an insult.'' Confident enough in his durability, Hati did nothing to avoid her attack despite how much it hurt. Flinching from the impact, he blinked his eyes and looked at his hand as he felt his vision worsen. With a growl the reactionary part of his quirk kicked into effect. Shadows began to clump together and rise out of his shoulder, shaping into a featureless, humanoid shape that resembled Olivia by its silhouette. Looking up at Olivia, the shadow clone clicked and clacked its jaw open like it was a mechanical doll, before firing a shadow replica of her own attack back up at her, shooting needles out of its mouth using a shadow replica Gagan. With this counterattack, Hati was trying to knock Olivia out of the sky so he could squash her like the worthless bug she was.

Taking a deep breath, Hati would dissolve the Olivia clone moments later and make his shadows coalesce around him to activate his ultimate move. The move that was going to crush Vox in seconds. ''With this...'' The ground around him shook like he was the epicenter for a localized earthquake, his eyes glowing a bright purple as his muscles expanded and grew exponentially. ''I claim the strength of hundreds of people!'' Letting out a roar, the ground cracked around him before the shaking stopped. Heaving and breathing for air, Hati turned his attention up towards the house Vox had so foolishly sought shelter in.

''APOCALYPSE CHOIR!!''

The reason these three had lost from the start was that the key to defeating Hati was that you had to fight him in two places at once. Outside and inside. Ashtray wasn't nearly strong enough to defeat his inside part, not unless she had become a lot stronger since he last met her, but it was a gamble he was willing to take since he could crush these vermin out here in seconds without her interference. Despite the house being much larger than before, Hati leapt the height of it in a single bound. ''VOX!!'' He shouted, trying to slam down on top of him and pin him onto the roof.

Tsukiko awoke to... Desolation.

The sound of haunting, hollow wind filled the deserted landscape of a kingdom in ruins. The ground was dry, with no water, plants or vegetation in sight. Surrounding her was the ruins of a town and inhabiting it, all the people that were currently stuck inside of Hati. A man who looked beyond exhausted, his features making him appear more ghoul than human reached out to her. ''Miss... Please... Save us...'' He pleaded in a hoarse, dying voice. Suddenly, the inside world began violently shaking as visible, purple energy began rising out of everyone, including Tsukiko herself. The civilians cried and screamed as their strength was drained. Similarly, Tsukiko would find a strength debuff placed on her as part of her energy was siphoned out of her body. ''There's only one way...'' A woman who was too weak to stand pointed to the town square with a shaky, withered hand. In the middle of the square, a featureless shadow clone of Hati himself wielding a giant meat cleaver looked towards Tsukiko, before charging at her, swinging its clever in an attempt to cut her down once it got within range.

The Moon

TL;DR:
- Hati refuses to negotiate, Tsukiko falls victim to the big succ
- Hati gets hit by Olivia's attack and has his awareness reduced, but fires an identical attack back at her to try to get her out of the sky
- Tsukiko finds herself inside of Hati's quirk in a small pocket dimension alongside the other hostages. A shadow clone of Hati tries to cut her in half with a meat cleaver, all while her strength is getting sapped (Debuff: Tsukiko's strength is now D-)
- Hati uses his ultimate move to add the strength of the hundreds of people inside him, including Tsukiko to his own. He then leaps on top of the house where Ryota is and attempts to slam down on top of him to pin him into place.

Or perhaps she spoke too soon? He mimicked the telltale signs of someone being affected by the poison. [break][break]

"It's always the chatty ones." At this moment she wished nothing more than to have Arsenal with her. A clean high caliber rifle shot through the heart would put Hati down for good but at the moment she had more pressing matters. The shadow version of her manifested and she had to make a call does she risk the counterattack or take the plunge? Hati would make the decision easier for by shouting about gathering strength. So as the needles came she deactivated her device and would plummet into the shadows below. Assuming nothing prevented her from doing so she would lash out with her Armor Piercer at the shadow Hati once she had eyes on him. [break][break]

tl;dr Liv dives into the shadows to avoid the needles. Assuming Hati doesn't have something else planned she uses her Armor Piercer to strike at shadow Hati

The chained weapon she had created creaked in anger as it was pulled tighter and tighter before finally, she gave in. With a sigh, she released one hand from the chain, and gave a half-hearted salute towards Ryota.

"Kick his ass for me. We'll talk later."

Those were the last words she said as she visibly crushed the bound chain around her right hand, causing the entire length to dissolve into ashes before vanishing into the abyss; the world blacked out the moment she was fully engulfed.

Suddenly, her eyes show open. She was awake, but it wasn't the island. No, she was in some deserted hellscape; ruins surrounded her in every which way. It appeared to be a small town and... those were likely the people from the town. Standing up fully, she started to dust herself off before checking the palm of her hand. It seemed whatever she was holding directly came with her, but most of the Kusarigama had been left behind. A pity, she could have used a bigger weapon.

It was then she noticed the ghoulish man begging for assistance. Looking at him with disdain, she simply slapped his hand to the side. "Save yourself I'm finding a way out of here." Right as she made contact with his hand however, the world began to shake, screams filled the air and rightfully so as she felt her strength being sapped from her body.

Right, she was devoured by Hati's quirk. Was this how he got his immense strength? Sapping it from those he devoured? No, there was more to it than that. Her gaze followed the withered woman's hand, right to a clone of Hati. He had a weapon, and this one didn't seem that surprised to see her.

The moment Hati rushed at her, Tsukiko made her move; converting the leftover ashes into a small, thin knife, she planned to fight defensively. From her past, she knew he was an honorable warrior, but this one seemed to be more like a berserker; That meant he had a very clear weakness.

They almost never feinted their strikes. "Alright Hati, let's see if you've improved since we dated." Her smile was sickeningly wide. If that cleaver hit her a single time, she was a dead woman, but the thrill of such chances...

The thrill of such a hunt...

This was what she lived for!

Waiting for Hati to get just within range of his cleaver, she held the blade in her right hand while breathing in the smoke from her cigarette with the left. Right when Hati got within his expected range, she stepped backward, deftly avoiding the blade by as short as a few inches before pulling the cigarette away from her lips. "Right as planned." As the words came out of her mouth, she blew a large amount of smoke right at Hati's eyes, activating her belt and lunging forward to make two quick slashes. The first slash was aimed directly at Hati's wrist; she needed to attempt to disable that cleaver arm; while the second was aimed right for his face. That strike was simply to taunt the man; there was nothing more infuriating than someone not striking at your jugular.

After the blows she would duck behind the man, being careful to skirt just at the edge of his quick-swinging range, taking in another deep breath from her cigarette in preparation for a quick round two of blows. Dodge, blind, counter, re-position; a fool-proof strategy unless outside factors start to muck things up.

She brought some ash with her as well as her cigarettes and currently is using the cigarette smoke as a screen for her two sneaky quick strikes; one aimed at his wrist to try to disarm the shadow creature, the other right at the side of his face as she tries to get behind him.[break]
Equipment [Displacement Belt] is active. Moments Tsukiko is obscured to Hati his awareness takes a penalty.[break]
Tsukiko currently has a penalty to Strength, meaning she is focusing on using speed and dexterity to outmaneuver Hati and to get in hopefully key crippling blows.

His eyes glanced at the woman's blade - right, so both this stranger and his aunt were armed, alright then - and he raised a hand placating. The last thing he wanted to do was antagonize her in addition to Hati. It wasn't like he could do much else, she was already- wait, where was she going?

"Careful, that stuff is dangerous!" Ryota could only watch on as she hovered over the mass of shadows to take on the man on her own, only to dive into the depths herself. That's- no-

Then another voice. He turned his head as Tsukiko sent him a salute. They'll talk later? How could they when she- "Oba-san, wait!" His hand reached out fruitlessly as she sunk too.

Now that was two people he could've saved but didn't. One of them was family. He- he was actually here this time and he still couldn't-

Someone called his name. Highlighted his armour. His adversary was still here.

His hand balled into a fist. This just got personal.

Ryota lowered his hand as he turned to Hati. "Indeed, I am the Madlib Hero, Vox! Your next opponent." He stared him down, whispering to himself. "And your last."

He crouched down to steady himself as his surroundings shook and Hati grew in size, like he was absorbing the shadows' power. Under his mask, Ryota furrowed his brow. He could take a beating but not a swing from arms that large.

He took a breath. It's like any other fight. Adapt as always.

As the hulking behemoth jumped up, Ryota slapped the roof for a second time. "[ELASTIC]!" The shingles would dip under his weight, and he dug his feet in to then leap out and onto the tree still standing next to the house. Gripping the branch with one hand to hold the hilt of his blade in the other, he watched as Hati came down.

Let's see how he tackles that.

OOC: Seeing both Tsukiko and Olivia go under and assuming them to have perished, Ryota vows to take Hati down. He makes the house elastic with his Quirk and uses it to bounce to a tree, readying his hand on his blade as he watches how Hati handles the newly conjured bouncy castle.

''You fool...'' He grinned as Olivia dove into the shadows and disappeared into his inner dimension. ''You left the hero here to die, alone.'' And Olivia wouldn't be much better off. A weakling who relied on gadgets wasn't going to add much to his overall strength buff, but she had a better chance of surviving if she had stayed out here in the open, rather than go inside where his automatic shadow clone would show no mercy to intruders.

Last opponent? That's rich. Vox wasn't nearly trained enough to be a match for him, especially not in his Apocalypse State. This boy was too inexperienced, too green. After 15 years of being a pro hero, maybe he would stand a chance. Done in by one attack, that was how this was going to go. Only, as he was sailing down towards Ryota at the end of his arc, something unexpected happened. Where he would have normally landed with a satisfying crash, the building didn't crumble under him at all. Rather it... Stretched.

And then it sent him flying back up again! ''RAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah-'' His anger was loud, but grew faint and distant as he was successfully sent flying into the air, flailing as he tried to regain his balance. ''You're DEAD!'' He growled, manifesting his shadow whip once more, this time wrapping it around the tree Ryota was holding onto so he could change directions and send himself flying towards the hero. ''I hope for your sake you have more tricks up your sleeve and that isn't just a normal sword!'' The vigilante grinned menacingly. Just when the hero thought he had a moment's reprieve, Hati punched the air as hard as he could, trying to surprise and hit Ryota with a shockwave generated from his monstrous strength alone. ''DIE, VOX!''

Meanwhile, in Hati's inner dimension.

While Hati's clone was locked into combat with Tsukiko, it failed to notice the new intruder Olivia, making it all too easy for her to land a hit on the clone, which writhed in pain. To make matters worse for him, Hati had vastly underestimated Tsukiko and how far she had come in the last years since they saw each other, as she was able to keep up with the clone. Alone either of the women might have struggled because they were both getting their strength drained, but together? There chances were a lot better.

''Hiyaah!'' Megumi, the hacker that had sent out the initial signal to the three kicked the Hati clone on the back of his leg, doing virtually no damage. ''Aaaah, AAAAH SORRY I'M SO SORRY!'' She pleaded, holding up her hands with tears in her eyes. The strikes from Tsukiko connected too, leaving the clone wounded. It wouldn't take much more to defeat it. In a desperate attempt to take the invaders out before it, itself went down, the clone grew a new arm and another meat cleaver to execute a spin attack, trying to cut all three women at the same time.

Back out on the island the fog in Hati's mind was slowly starting to fade as he came to his senses. ''I'm...'' He looked at Ryota, then at his surroundings. ''Where am I? What am I doing?'' Something was trying to gain control of him again, but he stopped his advance on Ryota to try and resist it. ''WHAT ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU MAKING ME DO?!'' He was hyperventilating, losing his breath as he put his hands up to his head. Feeling a sharp pain tear through his body he roared up at the sky in agony. His shadow was being hurt, and it was losing. ''This isn't...'' Hati lost his footing, spitting blood onto the ground. ''Hero... Vox...'' He reached out towards Ryota, begging him. Somehow, through his strong force of will alone, Hati was beating the effect he had been put under. ''Help me...''

''I've hurt so many people I never meant to...'' He let out another scream as the pain tore through him. Suddenly, shadow tendrils shot out of his back and towards Ryota, trying to lash out at him to keep him away from Hati.

The Moon

TL;DR:
- Hati mocks Olivia's choice to go into the shadows
- Hati gets sent flying by bouncy elastic haha funny
- Hati retaliates with a shockwave punch against Ryota
- Inside of Hati, the shadow clone gets cut by Tsukiko, Olivia and takes a kick to the back from Megumi
- The shadow clone is wounded, but tries to take the three women out with a desperate final attack
- Real Hati is feeling Real Pain from the fight he's losing inside of him
- Real Hati is regaining his sense of self and realizing what he is being made to do, however he is still struggling against the thing that is controlling him
- Hati begs Ryota for help, but his quirk lashes out at him at the same time

Two quick strikes; she knew that was the simplest form of dealing with someone much stronger than her. Hit and run tactics, duck and diving. What she wasn't expecting was for the other two to tag in to attack as well. "Yingshe? What the hell-" Shocked by her appearance, she almost dropped her guard. This Hati wasn't one to pull his punches, and with the three of them in close proximity...

This wasn't characteristic of her, she didn't care about what happened to that other girl and she knew that Yingshe could take care of herself. They had someone who was clearly not a combatant trying to fight the shadow Hati, and there was no way she was helping; instead Tsukiko knew that she would merely get in the way. As the cleavers were being flung through the air, she had two choices. Duck, and go for the throat, a risky maneuver on it's own, or kick the girl out of the way so that she didn't die; After all, this world was sapping her strength, imagine what would happen if someone died in here? Twisting her body, halving her height and ducking below the cleaver, Tsukiko placed two hands on the ground, rotated, and kicked into Megumi's back. It almost looked like some kind of gymnastic wrestling maneuver where one grabbed the upper body of another and just ripped them to the ground, but no, Tsukiko lacked the strength to simply hold back so instead, she did the next best option to her; She simply slammed full force into the back of the girl with one leg, and used the other to guide her to the floor.

"Stupid. Idiots." She ground her teeth, berating Yingshe and Megumi under her breath. "Why did you trap yourself? Why are you getting in the way!?" First, Yingshe, then Satsu addressed the weakling amongst them. Not wasting any time during her accusatory shouts, she had jumped up to her feet before backstepping away, creating some distance between herself and Hati; hopefully Hati would ignore the girl she had just slammed into the ground, and would keep focusing on her. It might give Yingshe more shots at killing him.

"Whatever, not like we can change the past." Getting herself back into a readied combat stance, she'd nod to Yingshe. "You got any ashes?"

Tsukiko, after landing her strikes earlier is surprised to see Yingshe and Megumi strike out at Hati. [break]
Instead of attacking Hati and letting Megumi get absolutely butchered, Tsukiko slam jams Megumi by kicking her to the ground and getting out of the way of the strike herself as well before leaping back to her feet and creating distance. [break]
Tsukiko calls them stupid, lives with it, and then asks Yingshe if she has any ashes. [break]

She would start swinging her sword wildly at Hati, from a distance she could hack away at him bit by bit until there was nothing left.
