A sports event.
Enma's worst nightmare. He works one day a week for his father, and that ONE DAY had to involve him manning a rental area for sports equipment. While the Festival was going on for more than one day, Enma couldn't participate in the duties he wished to attend. Enma surprisingly had plenty of product knowledge, but his issue was people. The festival brought in spectators of all kinds as well as participants. Allowed to sell keepers, Arashi Sporting Goods also provided a source of well-maintained goods to use for the duration of the event.
There was a tag system and the pieces were given specific markers his father used his quirk on. Painted parts of the goods with color codes according to the day, it would fade in a unique pattern over the course of the Festival's duration and beyond to show if anybody tried slipping away with them. Enma briefly thought that his father could do with Loss Prevention for a bigger company, but apparently that was why they didn't hire an LP team for the store.
"Thanks for using Arashi Sporting Goods."
"Thanks for using Arashi Sporting Goods."
"That will be 50,000 yen. Yes, that is with the warranty included. Thank-you for shopping with Arashi Sporting Goods."
This was the routine of the day as Enma manned the area alone. Thankfully, his not-so-friendly eyes kept people from trying anything. He was short, but his physicality helped him zoom around and carry normally heavy things with ease. If only he had some help!

"Nyahallo!" Misaki greeted whoever was there with a smile and a wave as she walked in. The Sports Festival always brought a kind of infectious energy with it that Misaki couldn't help but let herself be swept into. That said breaks were still necessary now and then and what better way to relax than to go shopping? Misaki could use a new water bottle, some wristbands and perhaps a couple more things if she spotted anything snazzy.
Going up to the salesperson she put on her brightest smile.
"Are there any discounts or deals running?"
She'd hate to miss out on those. Who knew, maybe she could even find something Ylva or Masao would like too. Misaki had to stop her glee from showing on her face. Maybe they could all get matching wristbands. In her mind Misaki chuckled menacingly. So long as she gave them to each independently they'd have no idea until it was far too late~
Ah, the things she did for the sake of friendship.

By policy of the company, Enma had to offer certain services and products to keep the revenue flowing in. Upsell, recommend warranties, sign people up for rewards. Often times, he would only do some of it half-heartedly as he didn't believe in roping anyone into something they didn't want. There were certain combinations of items or certain services he believed in, so he did give his professional recommendation. Still, he abhorred the job. During the Sports Festival, his father expected him to use the little social energy he had to keep up the performance. Someone, anyone, save me. As a person approached asking for discounts, he was turned around and sighed before turning around with his stoic professionalism. "We have a buy-more-save-more deal going on. Depending on how much you spend, you will have an increasing discount. It's a great time for getting multiple things if you're planning on it. It starts at ten-percent off, goes up to thirty-percent off." Nodding, he would wait to hear her order or desired items. His father was lucky his son was in hero-condition. The swordsman could zoom across the stall and keep service time at a low without exhausting himself. Outside of the sports gear, there was a plethora of decorative merchandise that helped represent the brand. "Right now, as well, we have buy-one-get-one on any wristbands or reusable ice packs." At least his father didn't do mark-ups for the stuff, otherwise Enma would have downright refused to work the event. Takanashi Misaki

Misaki cheerfully nodded, hummed and hawed along in tune to his words, her active listener training on full display.
"I see, I see. Wonderful! Do you have any wristbands in yellow?" Misaki asked cheerfully. With some luck there'd be three pairs of them. Yellow was her color after all and it'd come as no surprise if she tried to gift a set to either Misaki or Ylva. Why, they wouldn't even question it until they ran into each other and found out they had matching pairs~
"Don't think I need any ice packs right now, already have one," Ylva would kill her if she heard her say that, "but I'm definitely in the market for a water bottle or two, maybe three. Got any recommendations?"
Flashing her brightest smile Misaki eagerly awaited his recommendation. She could check if they had any to her liking herself of course but there was just something special about going with what someone else wanted. This little outside touch that broadened perspectives. Misaki lived for that.
Putting a hand on her heart with a gasp and widening her eyes in shock at her discourtesy she took a half step back before speaking. "Ah but where are my manners, I forgot to introduce myself." Once that was said she took a slighty bigger step forward and extended her hand in greeting. "Takanashi Misaki, third year, department of heroics. A pleasure to meet you!"
She'd memorised the student rosters and with a bit of thinking had put a name to the face of course but Misaki didn't want to see Enma as just a picture on paper. Sure, such things were good for basic intel but second-hand info rarely shaped a correct picture. Nope, Misaki didn't rely on those. Her impression of Enma had begun the moment she stepped into the store and not a second before. It made getting to know more people just that much more fun.

This person was going to really test Enma's product knowledge. He hated the idea of putting to use what he learned, but the good news was that he gained product knowledge out of spite. It took a bit of listening, but Enma knew exactly what to grab for the fellow student. "I have festival-themed bracelets in all colors, three different styles." Presenting the three styles of yellow bracelets, they were all a sporty silicone. The first option was a solid-yellow band with the UA logo pressed into it. The second had a diagonal, white with black border stripe that indicated how to orient the wristband that had a colorful UA logo on it. The third was yellow with a solid black stripe running along the center of the band with the UA logo in the center, again indicating where to orient the band. "Same price, normally they're one-thousand yen a bracelet. Right now, they're six-hundred yen as a promotional price."After the student would select what bracelets she wanted, he would move on to suggesting a few water bottles. "These are equivalent to that famous Danley tumbler from the States. Those are normally eight-thousand yen, ours are normally five-thousand and they're on promotion for twenty-five-hundred. Plus, they have a lifetime limited warranty included." As they would get through the business, she would eventually introduce herself. Nodding, wondering if she's seen him on school grounds before, he would give a courteous but awkward smile. "Arashi, Enma. Second-year, department of heroes." Accepting the handshake, he would give it one good shake and a nod and continue moving along. "For today I unfortunately have to work the equipment stand my father sets up. I hope you're having a lot of fun with the festival." It was the routine of customer service, but really he was disappointed he couldn't do anything exciting like engage in the fights. Some events, like the balloon popping, were not much of interest. If there were awards, however, he would be drawn to the activities. At least he was being paid double-time for working the stand. With a bit of theatrical humming and hawing Misaki finally made her decision.
"I'll take three of the solid yellow ones please. Oh, do you also have sweat wristbands in the same color? I'll take three of those too!"
Ylva was unlikely to accept one after all, no, she had to rely on a cunning ruse to make her plan work. Offering one of the silicone ones first in a joking manner as a 'friendship bracelet' would be an easy way to get a refusal out of the way and well, turning down a practical one after that? Well now, that'd just be rude and as much as Ylva might try to maintain her frigid facade there was a heart beneath those layers of frost. Why, it was the perfect plan! Just in case Misaki got enough of the silicone ones too for all of them. Who knew, maybe Ylva would see right through her and accept one of those to get things over with instead. Misaki was more than happy to prepare for both possibilities. That way she always came out on top.
"Ho ho~ Confident in the quality are we? Alright, you've convinced me. I'll take three of those as well." It was slightly above what she'd intended to spend to put it mildly but she could afford to splurge now and then. "Can I get one of the bottles in red, one in yellow and one in white?"
Misaki responded to his handshake in kind, adding a nod in as well at the same time.
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Arashi-san. Hope you're having a great time too, for what it's worth you're killing it." Misaki added with a wink and a thumbs-up while fishing out her wallet. "I'll check out some of your performances in the other events. I'm working tomorrow as well so I'll be checking out some of the streams during my breaks. Don't disappoint~." There was a clear teasing lilt to her voice when she said the last part, another wink and a half smile making it clear she was speaking in jest. But hey, if it worked to encourage him instead wasn't that a win too? Flawless. Plans.

Misaki seemed to be a very colorful person, which might've attracted many but certainly would be draining to the likes of Enma. His social battery couldn't handle the dance of him's and haw's made for the sake of a person's boredom. Maybe it was the toxins of working customer service talking, as that made even the cheeriest of people not so pleasant for the mentally ragged Enma. He had been working the stand all day, the end nearing. She was sweet, which was a nice change from the impatient that zoomed in and out. As she asked for the silicone bands, he would begin packaging them and ringing her up simultaneously. "Alright, let me grab the bottles." Zooming through the inventory himself, Enma put those legs to use as the several levels of product formed a tower behind him. Without using the handles, he would run up and down a rolling ladder. Dropping down, he would package the fresh bottles and click-clack in the item numbers. "You won't be disappointed, my father made sure to tackle the product quality before he considered marketing too hard. It's the only reason we beat out others for this stall." Nodding but not smiling, Enma spoke with clear confidence in what his father provided. Totaling her, he would walk her through the payment process and gave a customer service smile to the compliment. "Thank-you, apparently I am supposed to face someone tomorrow in the exhibition matches. I hope I don't disappoint." Enma was excited, he didn't know who it was but it would be one of few times where he could unwind. There were strict instructions not to really wound the opponent with his sword, but the students of UAU were made of tougher stuff than glass. "What do you do for work? Anything to do with the festival?"Making small talk as a sort of "finalization" to the customer's experience, he also figured he may see this person on campus at some point and wanted to leave a good impression. "Thank you~" Misaki cheerfully replied. My, he was moving quite fast wasn't he. Was he inclined to prioritize efficiency or just eager to see her gone? Well, one of those options made both of them look better than the other so Misaki knew which she'd choose to believe.
"Is that so? A rarity these days. You wouldn't believe how much practice equipment I go through." Crossing her arms Misaki let out an exaggerated sigh while shaking her head. Truly, just a bit too much focus on the moves she was practicing and a bit too little on where she was going was enough to break her audio equipment whenever a cable snagged on her feet. Still, if she skipped dance practice too often she'd fall behind her peers so she had no choice but to practice within the small studio she rented nearby whenever the trip to her group's studio didn't fit within her schedule.
"Oh, a fight? Good luck!" She added with a thumbs-up. Misaki herself was sitting the duels out this year. With a concert coming up she couldn't afford to get too injured. In truth she was advised against participating in any events at all but there was no way she was skipping the entire festival. That was no way to get ahead.
"Some small-time acting gigs, commercials here and there, bit of singing. Nothing quite related to the festival yet but hey, maybe one day I'll be a featured guest here." Misaki made sure to emphasize her statement with a playful wink. She was underplaying her jobs a little but she didn't feel like going into detail. It was always a pain telling someone she was part of an idol group, half the time they suddenly wanted pictures and pretended to be interested despite having no idea who she even was. If the interest was genuine she'd be happy to accommodate but the act was usually motivated by nothing but fear of missing out. No, Misaki had no intention of advertising herself in social situations anymore.
"Well then, I'll see you around campus Arashi-san. Have a nice day!" With her new purchases paid for and bagged she walked off with the bag in one hand -the back of which rested on her shoulder- and a wave with her other. That was a neat break. Now it was time to go back to giving it her all!
