“Oh yeah! I forgot that we didn’t really talk about quirks and what everyone can do!” Kodai facepalmed at his own stupidity. But then he decided to showcase his quirk. Without warning, Kodai shifted into a microraptor. A cute dinosaur about the same size as a crow. It had brilliant and vibrant colored feathers, and deep gold eyes. After a couple of seconds, Kodai shifted back into his human form. “My quirk lets me transform into almost any prehistoric animal, no matter the size of the beast! So I can easily give kids rides or shift into whatever they wanted. Though, I will need a couple of minutes to rest after multiple transformations…”

He smiled as he spoke. A bit proud that they seemed to like his idea. But, Kodai couldn’t help but notice Enma’s change in demeanor when Rahul made his request. I wonder what that is about, he thought. In an effort to show some support, Kodai decided that he would give Enma a pat on the back, disguising it as excitement rather than a comforting effort.

“Those permits will come in handy! Do you want me to go with you to help convince your dad?” Kodai asked. “Hell yeah I am on board! What should we do first?”

Enma was satisfied with the plan by the end of it, as long as they could do the good work. He reminded himself that something like Kodai turning into a dinosaur for people to enjoy the novelty of was a positive thing. It wasn't like their charity was a support group, it was trying to garner support and needed to cater to the selfish side of people. Curious, though, as Kodai's quirk was rather wide. How did he know what to transform into?

"I'd prefer not to disclose my quirk, since it is not relevant to what we need to do." It might've been cold, but it was a boundary nonetheless. They would put together a stand outside of his father's store, which was located in a high-traffic area of Tokyo. Right in the parking lot next to the store would be perfect. "I can make the banners and talk to my father, no need for the help. Thank-you for offering assistance, Kodai."

Once they were in agreement, Enma would painfully meet with his father who made him agree to doing work at the Sports Festival where they would have a stand. For that, they were able to procure what they needed for the fundraiser. Putting together an inviting set of posters, banners and advertisement pieces to hand-out, Enma would surprise himself by the touches he was capable of. Writing in a friendly, pleasant font and drawing cute-looking dinosaurs, he ran it by Rahul and Kodai for any corrections necessary.

When the time came for them to meet-up for the fundraiser, Enma would be found finishing putting everything together in the parking lot. Despite how distant and cold he seemed, he put a lot of effort at least into the decorations and prepared it early so that the others didn't need to worry. He wasn't going to do the talking nor was he the dinosaur in this equation, so it was the least he could do.

Tea, coffee and baked breakfast goods would await Kodai and Rahul. "Welcome, I hope we have a good showing today."

A lot of work had gone into this.

It was a bigger project than any of us had anticipated. After a few moves, a few other students saw the potential and offered to volunteer. They weren’t in our class, and we asked permission from our professor before giving them the green light. Considering the efforts aren’t just for a grade but for a charity, they had no qualms with the additional help.

Kodai wasn’t the only one taking pictures, but he was our main attraction. The bunnies were second, but helped with both children and adults on the shyer side of things. Fortunately, I could keep out and let the volunteers deal with the logistics as long as I kept producing the bunnies.

There was even a surprise in store. While Enma had been diligent about his work, we had cut out an idea of his because of the extra costs. But with the newfound volunteers, and the resources they were offering to make this event even larger…

“Enma,” I give him a small nod as I motion to the woman next to me. “This is Watanabe Sakura, a fellow fourth year. She’s taking over your shift so you can…” I point over to a booth and unveil what was hidden underneath the tarp. “People are enamored with your decor. Some want it done in their name. Think you can manage?”

“Oh my god. Stop flirting with him!” Watanabe rolls her eyes as she turns to Enma. “Yahello! If you want to stay here a bit longer just grab me when you need me! But before you go I have a few questions…”

“I’ll check on Kodai.” While she asks Enma this and that, I catch Kodai in an intermission. We've built these in to make sure he got adequate rest. And by now, people in line get the gist of what's happening.  “Think you got another hour in you?”
