''I-I-I see.'' Yasu struggled to get up into a sitting position due to the lag and the way his body was glitching between being human and pixels, but eventually he managed to sit up, facing Kikurage. ''I guess every qui-rkkkkkkk has its draw...backs.'' Something that should be obvious to everyone else, but having a quirk was still new to him. He thought back to the race and how much Kiku must have been pushing herself this entire time, conjuring up that many mushrooms. He couldn't help but feel a little bad at the fact that Yume had made her conjure up more mushrooms to protect herself too. ''This is just- just- just- my quirk.'' He shrugged, his body still lagging several seconds behind his actions.

Slowly but surely the lag dissipated, but the exhaustion sure didn't. He managed a weak smile in response to her smug question. ''Better for sure, can't say it's something I'm used to. I've never been much of an athlete.'' He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling embarrassed at how he had first introduced himself to her. ''I was playing down my own skills before the test because I didn't want to disappoint you when I sucked, but when I did that I was assuming what you were thinking before we had even talked, and that's not cool.'' He looked down at the ground, his head still spinning a bit from how fast they had been going.

''I'll get Yume to apologize too. She's stubborn because she has some kind of main character complex, but she'll come around.'' He looked back up at Kiku with a smile. ''But... I'm being serious, if there's ever anything I can do to make up for you having to use your quirk so much, just let me know.'' Even if Kiku never called on him for a favor, he felt better at least making the offer rather than having her think he was selfish or wasn't feeling remorse for it. Wait, wasn't he basically assuming what she was thinking again?

[attr="class","really"] [attr="class","exhausted"]Ya did good [attr="class","rhythm"] Kiku would just continue lying on the ground, doing her best to focus on anything except her arms screaming out in agony from the mushroom puss across her arm's pores.  After all, she didn't any right to complain especially after causing Yasu to glitch out like this with rapid-fire personality swaps.  Soon Yasu would start to settle himself back, trying to downplay the drawbacks of his quirk.  She wasn't going to argue that moot point, but rather sought to poke him about his mentality at the beginning of the festival. He wasn't used to enjoying first since he wasn't that much of an athlete, as he downplayed his own skills thanks to his lack of information.  It seemed Yasu was very much conscientious over his own public standing and not wanting to disappoint others if he failed them.  "You're right, assuming what others think isn't cool.  I do that too, I think most people are stupid and aren't worth putting effort into." She was going to leave it at that, having quite a negative outlook on the world at large with a worse outlook on people here than even the pessimistic Yasu.  Slowing her breathing as she would finally push herself up off of the ground, grunting and groaning the entire time, Yasu said he'd get Yume to apologize and wanted to make up for Kiku pushing herself. "I used you and Yume to get as far as I did," Kiku flat out admitted, not caring if it came out so callously, "You got nothing to apologize for, you and Yume did your jobs well.  Now get ready for whatever other competition you have to do here, it'd suck if someone capable didn't succeed because their heart wasn't in it.  Also Yume wasn't that bad.  Annoying, sure, but that's something I can tolerate.  Now excuse me, I got to get my arms cleaned up,"  Kiku bemoaned as she walked away from him, heading towards the infirmary to get some assistance in getting her pores unclogged.
