Despite coming from an old-fashioned and proud linage, Dai is surprisingly relaxed and open-minded. If you can get past his lack of facial expression, he is very considerate and empathetic towards others and is often willing to go out of his way for people regardless of faction. He is willing to give everyone a chance, but often trusts others too easily.
As a Vigilante however, Kagesaru is known to target other killers and those he deems 'evil', regardless of faction. He doesn't believe all Villains are evil, just the same as he doesn't believe all Heroes are good. As Kagesaru, he shows an uncharacteristic amount of cruelty towards his targets.
